I’m sorry sweetheart, I didn’t mean to keep you waiting.” He said, helping her walk back through the house and outside. Sitting her back in the chair, he stared at the few gifts that she’d opened. He saw diapers, clothes, a bassinet and a baby bath.

“These are all great. I can’
t imagine what else is left.” Mitchell said, looking at the still full table.

“If you don’t mind, I’d like to give you my gift now.” He said
, as everyone watched.

“You didn’t have to get me anything. She giggled.

“I did because I knew everyone else would be bringing stuff for the baby. I didn’t want you to feel left out. You are after all the person carrying her.” He smiled, and all the girls melted over his comment.

Aww, baby.” She replied looking at him in the moonlight.

Mitchell
dug into his pocket, and pulled out a navy blue velvet box. Getting down on one knee, Nevaeh’s breath got in her throat. As he opened the box, he looked up to her as she saw the huge pink diamond encrusted ring. The platinum gold glimmered in the moonlight. Taking in a breath, Mitchell asked the ultimate question.

“Nevaeh Sky, I love you with all my heart and there will never be another to take your place. You’ve already blessed me with a family
that I’ve always dreamed of.  Will you do me the greatest honor, and be my wife?” he inquired.

“Yes!” she screamed. “Of course I will.”

Letting out a sigh of relief, he placed the heavy ring on her ring finger, before hugging her. Being engaged to her, meant everything, it was his totally commitment. Of course he was planning to wait until she finished culinary school for the wedding, but he just couldn’t wait to ask for her hand.

“I love you.” They said in unison before he kissed her and he giggled. “You are my eternity.”

Rubbing her belly, he knew they had a lifetime of love ahead of them. He had won her heart, and there was no doubt that she had undoubtedly won his.
