Fountain

“Jill?” Allen asked as he stepped from a roulette table. I couldn’t believe how amazing he looked. I always thought that Allen was cute, but now I found him completely
hot
. His arms were meaty like the football players from high school. Even his grin seemed to shine in a way I wasn’t used to with him.

“Allen,” I said softly. “Wow, you look great.”

“Me?” he laughed. “I think we should be talking about
you
. How long has it been?”

              “About four years,” I said.

“Has it been that long?” he asked. “Time goes by so quickly after high school.”

“I know,” I agreed while looking at his ripped body. Then his eyes caught mine. The alcohol had impaired my judgment, causing Allen to catch me checking him out– so I improvised. “I like these tank tops,” I said as I touched the fabric.

“They were my idea,” he smiled. “I know that they’re corny, but we needed matching clothes.”

              “I love it!”

              “No, you don’t!”

“Have you seen what I’m wearing?” I said while rolling my arms along the bright pink sash. “I don’t think it gets any cheesier than this.”

              “Maybe you’re right,” Allen laughed.

“I’m gonna puke!” Mairead yelled across from us.

“Let me help you, babe,” Cade said as he placed his arm on the small of her back.

“I’ve got it!” Penny said while rushing forward. “I’m sure she’ll appreciate another girl helping her out in the ladies’ room.”

“No!” Mairead called out to Penny. “Take me to the suite and
fast
!”

“The bride-to-be has spoken,” Penny shrugged as she gently held onto Mairead’s arm and guided her away from the casino.

“I’m... leaving... too...” said Leslie as she wobbled down the floor.

“I should go with them,” I said.

“Stay!” I heard Penny yelled to me. “Only one of us should suffer!”

“I guess I’m staying,” I said to Allen.

“Sorry to say this,” said one of the groomsmen to me. He tone was less than inviting. “But we’re headed to a strip club.”

              “Sounds fun!” I said.

              “On the
old
strip,” the groomsman said.

“Where the ground is always sticky?” I asked. All of the guys nodded in unison.

“I’ll pass,” I said, gruffly. Then I turned to Allen in preparation to bid him farewell. Just as I spun around, I caught him looking at me with an uneasy expression. Then he turned away to face Cade.

“Hey, man,” Allen said. “You know how I feel about strip clubs… Think it would be cool if I stayed here?”

“No permission needed,” Cade said stopping him. “We’ll text you on our way back so I can meet you at the room.”

“Thanks, man,” Allen sighed. The guys headed down toward the valet and Allen faced me again. “I hear that the hotel across the street has an awesome water show at midnight. Want to check it out with me?”

“Sure,” I said feeling my heart flutter. Allen reached down and grabbed my hand before we headed through the crowd. A tingly sensation rushed over my arms as I felt the warmth growing between our palms. Being with Allen in Vegas was like a hazy dream come true. “I didn’t know that you and Cade were so close.”

“We were in the same fraternity in college,” Allen said. “Cade got in because he played football for a couple of seasons. I, on the other hand, had a legacy from my older brother. Otherwise, let’s be honest, this would never have happened for me.”

“I didn’t think you’d want to join a fraternity,” I said. “In high school you were always interested in computers and audio visual components.”

“That’s because I wanted to edit film,” he said. “Which our fraternity also is associated with on campus.”

“That’s awesome!” I smiled. “Maybe one day I’ll get to see one of your films on the big screen.”

“That would be nice,” Allen said as he looked down at me. Our eyes caught one another’s again. It felt like high school had never ended, and we were continuing where we left off the night of our senior prom. “Where were you guys before this?”

              “A strip club,” I laughed.

              “With ladies?” Allen asked.

“Nope, just tons of beefy guys,” I said bluntly with a grin.

              “Hot,” Allen joked.

“So why don’t you like strip clubs?” I asked. “I always thought every guy loved those places.”

“My little sister’s a stripper,” he said. Suddenly, I felt embarrassed for my lighthearted approach.

“I’m sorry,” I said with caution. “I didn’t mean to–”

“Don’t worry about,” Allen explained with a smile. “If that’s what she wants to do, then that’s her choice. Though I would be traumatized if I was watching a girl on a pole and suddenly her face popped into my head.”

“I completely understand,” I said. We made our way through a set of revolving glass doors before finding the bridge that led to the neighboring hotel. As we stepped over it, I felt the warm air of the desert night heating my skin. I only felt more flustered because I was standing next to Allen.

Our conversations jumped around from high school memories to the many things that we had in common from college. Allen even confessed that he nearly changed his study to geology after taking a couple of classes in general education. Then we talked about relationships we had over the past few years and how we were in better places after they ended. I did my best to avoid talking about Walker.

“Here we are,” Allen said as we stood in front of the fountain. Our view was dead center as speckles of people stood near the fence to the water. Suddenly, the lights turned off around us, leaving Allen and me alone in the dark. The boom of music sounded, and the lights came back on in a fantastic display with the water shooting high into the air.

“Looks like we made it just in time,” I said.

“Yeah,” Allen agreed. Then his arms wrapped around me body, pulling me closer to him. “How are you so beautiful?”

“Me?” I asked, blushing. “What happened on prom night?”

“Not enough,” Allen said. I felt light and airy as he bent down and kissed me on the lips.

High School Never Ends

After the show ended, Allen and I walked down the strip, and back toward our hotel. The night was lively with cars whizzing down the boulevard, stammers of drunken people stumbling across the pavement, and the cheering of high rollers winning big.

Meanwhile, I didn’t let go of Allen’s hand the entire way back. While he felt much manlier than I remembered for four years earlier, Allen still had the same nerdish charm that made me fall for him before.

“I’m so happy for Mairead and Cade,” I said.

“Me, too!” Allen exclaimed. “They are two of the best people that I know.”

“Agreed! Especially after all of the things that they went to in high school with that crazy ex of his... If that were me, I would have lost my mind.”

              “I would
definitely
still be in therapy,” Allen stated. “Particularly if I were Mairead. Still, she has great support. Cade has been an awesome guy in my life; he helped me become the person I am today.”

“You seem so different now,” I said to him. “I’m shocked.”

“Is this a good thing?” he asked while sounding cautious.

“Of course,” I said as I gripped onto his fingers. “Why would I have made out with you for the past hour if it wasn’t.”

              “Nerd pity?”

              “Is that a thing?”

“Trust me, it is. I’ve had my share of girls kiss, leave, and never text me back again.”

              “That’s terrible! Shame on them.”

“So you’re not going to do that to me?” he asked playfully. Though a part of me knew that he was a bit insecure about it.

“No,” I said shaking my head and looking him in the eyes. “I promise.”

“Are you sure? I still watch cartoons.”

“Which ones?” I asked. “Like the ones for adults?”

“Nope,” Allen smiled. “The same ones we did as kids. And I eat a bowl of cereal while I do it.”

“Are you wearing cotton pajamas with cartoon print on them?”

“I’m not that bad,” he laughed. “Usually just a tank and boxer briefs.”

“I like a man in boxer briefs,” I teased. Suddenly, we were in the elevator chamber, kissing once again. The doors were swinging open on all sides as we stood in the center.

“You want to see my boxers now?” Allen asked. He looked like he was trying to be coy about it; however, I couldn’t help but to think his wording was hilarious. “Why are you laughing?”

“Really, Allen?” I laughed. “That’s your best pickup line?”

“I know,” he said bashfully. There was something undeniably charming about this tall, muscular nerd standing in front of me. Our hands were clasped together as we spoke. “We shouldn’t be doing any more than this either way.”

“Any more than what?” I asked while leaning into Allen. I stood on my tiptoes to give him a kiss on the lips.

“That!” he said before grabbing me under his arms. He lifted me high into the air and walked us into an elevator. Then, despite the people standing around us, he began to kiss me wildly.

“I love newlyweds!” exclaimed an older woman who was standing next to us. “You two look so adorable!”

“Oh, we’re not married,” I said.

“Not yet!” Allen teased. “I’m asking her to marry me tomorrow, but don’t say anything.”

“Darling, are you drunk?” asked the older woman. “She can hear you!”

              “Hear what?” I said loudly.

“She’s deaf on this side,” Allen said in a hushed tone. The woman patted him on the head as she and the rest of the people in the elevator exited. As soon as the doors closed, we both burst into a fit of laughter.

              “What was that?” I asked.

“Just a little fun,” he smiled before kissing me again. We nearly missed the door opening on our floor. However, Allen moved his arm forward and blocked the door from closing on us.

He carried me down to their room at the end of the hall. Somehow, he managed to pull his key out of his pocket, swipe it through the port, and open the door, all while holding me in his arms.

Their suite wasn’t as lavish as ours, but it still was very charming and had a prime view of the strip. Even as we entered the dark room, I could see rows of sparkling lights that made Vegas so famous.

Allen sat me down on the bed and kissed against my neck. My arms reached upward and grabbed his biceps. They were like two, hard, meaty boulders resting on his arms. As he pressed his lips deeper into me, I could feel the effects of his five o’clock shadow grazing my tender skin. This only turned me on more. Allen had grown from the boy I once crushed on to the man who was driving me wild.

I felt his fingers come under my dress. They pulled down my thong in one swoop. Suddenly, I was exposed to him as he made his way down my body. His touch was calculated and strong. Each movement was made in order to maximize my pleasure– and it was working.

Allen’s lips touch the warm crease between my legs. He took his finger and spread me apart. Then came his tongue. Slick, fast movement sent shivers down my spine. He knew exactly what he was doing. Not only that, but he seemed to love every moment of it.

Lap after lap, I felt my sensitivity building. Allen curled himself to his knees and pulled out his cock. He began to stroke himself as he continued to work on me with his mouth. I reached down to assist him. Allen’s meat was warm, thick, and rock hard.

That was when he tumbled to the other side of the bed and dug through his black suitcase. He emerged triumphantly with a condom in his hands. Like a pro, he tore it in half and rolled the rubber onto his cock.

Then he kissed me again, making me feel like the only girl that ever mattered to him in the world. His cock found my opening and pushed inside of me. Allen’s pumping was gentle, yet fantastic. Each stroke was perfectly fitted to my body.

Just as I couldn’t take anymore, neither could he. Our breathing became intense and heated. I felt his fingers dig into my thigh as his cock pulsed inside of me.

“Ah!” Allen groaned, as he pulled out and tossed the condom aside. My skin became wet as jets of his come sprang onto me. This was just enough rawness to help me finish. I felt Allen pull down again and press his tongue inside of me. With quick flicks of his tongue on my clit, my entire body was soon I flooded with pleasure.

“You are absolutely gorgeous,” he said as he pushed himself on top of me. I was still panting from my orgasm as we kissed again. A cool sweat was still clinging to our bodies.

“I can’t believe this just happened,” I giggled.

              “Why do you say that?”

“Everyone knows that I had the biggest crush on you in high school.”

              “Me?” Allen asked, surprised.

              “Yes, you!”

“Before or after we kissed on prom night?”

              “
Way
before that.”

              “How long?”

              “Try, freshman year.”

              “
Freshman
year?” Allen asked in disbelief.

“How did you not know that?” I asked. “I could barely hold a sentence together around you.”

“Jill, all I know is,” Allen said while looking me in the eyes. “If had had the slightest inkling that you liked me, I would have felt like the luckiest kid in the town.”

The moment was perfection. Somehow, I had received heartache and brevity all within a two-day span. I started to think about my life with Allen in high school. We were both so young and inexperienced. College had done wonders to him. I, on the other hand, had been chasing an unobtainable professor, and, consequently, making a fool out of myself over it.

Suddenly, the door beeped from an access key and swung open. Foreign light from the hallway flooded the suite. I saw the outline of a muscular man standing in the doorway. When the light flicked on, I realized who I was looking at.

“Ut oh!” joked Cade as he stumbled into the room. “What did I just walk in on?”

“We’re all zipped up,” Allen lied as he pulled the covers over our entangled bodies. I hit him playfully over the comment. Then I noticed my thong sitting next to him and quickly grabbed it before Cade could take notice.

“I think I better get going,” I said.

“Don’t mind me!” Cade said as he wobbled into the bathroom. “I’m drunk!” Then he partially shut the door behind him. Allen and I laughed a little as we continued to cuddle in the bed.

“So, do you have a date to the wedding?” Allen asked.

“No,” I replied. “What about you? Have a pretty girl that you’re bringing?”

“Hopefully,” Allen said. At first, my heart sank when I thought of him with another girl. Then, when I looked into his eyes, I could see whom he was talking about. “Want to be my date?”

“Hope the pretty girl doesn’t mind,” I joked, warmly. We both giggled as Allen leaned in and kissed me. That only made me want to stay longer, but I knew that Penny would be angry that I left them for as long as I did.

“See you tomorrow?” he asked as I started to put my clothes back over myself.

“You better,” I replied as I stepped back into my heels and headed out the door.
