Meagan frowned up at the egocentric male standing between her
and Fabio and then followed him movements with assertive eyes as he
approached her once again and bent to bring his face up to about
five inches from hers. “Get out of my face?” she grounded out
through clenched teeth.

WOW!” he grinned, glanced at Fabio and then back at her. “You
two are two very itching pains in the ass for persons who should be
worried to hell about how they will die! You know, I used to love
watching this show…what’s it called again? Oh yes—‘1000 Ways to
Die’. Yep, that’s it. And I used to wonder to myself, ‘How should I
kill Marco Mussolini? Give him a really hot acid bath? Or cut him
into tiny pieces and then ship him in a bag to his beloved rich
family?’ What do you think?”

You
don’t scare me…”

“Uh
uh—wrong answer!” he yelled with anger and then rubbed his
forehead. “You know, I can be a very nice person, Mee-gan. Back in
New York, did you honestly think I needed this story that you’re
still scraping for now? Naah, I knew Chief would have chosen you
and I knew that you would have ended up in Marco’s arms. Don’t get
me wrong, he’s always been the player type,” he continued and then
ran his forefinger along the line of her jaw and then down to her
neckline. “…but he’s always had a weakness for innocent dark-haired
beauties like yourself. He always took the best ones!”

“And
I was right all along,” she spat out. “You really haven’t gotten
laid in a while.” Meagan hoped terrifyingly that she knew what she
was doing. She had to try something and at that moment, the only
option she saw was to provoke him into letting her go; even if she
was putting herself at carnal risk. But at least she would have
gotten a chance at trying to escape.

What did you say?” he questioned with an angry look on his
face.

Meagan glanced at Fabio, who was watching her curiously like a
hawk, and then back at him. “You heard me…let me show you what a
woman can really do?”

Miles chuckled and looked at Fabio. “She’s one foxy mama,
isn’t she?” he grinned and then turned back to her. “I might be
crazy but I’m not stupid!”

Then just untie my feet then…after all, they are what you need
to get by. Admit it, Miles; you’ve always had a thing for me.
You’ve always wanted a taste of what I’ve got. It’s been the talk
all over the office. So, why wait? You’re going to kill me anyways,
right?”

Miles swallowed hard and looked her over from head to feet. “I
can’t say that sounds like a bad idea.” And he took a knife from
the back pocket of his jeans and sliced through the duct tape on
her feet. He then grabbed her to her feet and then lifted her, with
a roan, over his shoulder. “We will be right back, Fabio!” he
laughed and strutted out of the room.

Meagan watched the dusty floor as he was taking her to
oblivion. Her heart beat hysterically and she tried to think of a
way in which she could escape him but nothing came to her mind. She
could see that he had entered a new room and it was not until she
felt herself being dumped on a hard desk that she gasped in pain
and looked up at in with fright. “I see you handle your women
roughly.”

He
laughed again. “I’m not the type to talk before, during or after
sex, Mee-gan! It’s not my style. I just get right to
it.”

Fine…let’s get right to it,” she said and sat upright on the
desk, spreading her led wide apart. She heard him groan shakily and
then he approached her, pushing her skirt up her thighs and to her
waist. He then smiled at her and tore away her panties. “What are
you waiting for, Miles? Afraid that I might see your little
man?”

Don’t tempt me,” he muttered and undid the buckle to his belt
instantly, followed by his zipper, she watched him as he dropped
his pants and then took his place between her legs. He was about to
penetrate her when she muttered,

Wait—let me touch you…”

What? No…we didn’t make any deal about untying your
hands!”

I
want to touch you. Please…,” she pleaded as if she was really
longing for him. “I want this to be the best sex I’ve ever had
before I die.” She then brushed his shaft with the side of her leg
and felt him shiver.

He
groaned with confusion and then hurriedly untied her. “Don’t try
anything stupid!”

Oh…I won’t,” she smiled and then knotted her hands around his
neck. She kissed him lightly across the neck and then slid off the
desk.

What are you doing—?”

Shhh,” she murmured and then pushed him up against the desk,
trading places so to speak. “I want to taste you.”

Miles released a shaky breath as she ripped open his shirt and
then kissed his chest and abdomen. She then gripped his shaft
gently in her hands and massaged it fervently until he flung his
head back in satisfaction. Meagan watched him with confidence as
his eyes fluttered shut and then without warning, she frowned
angrily and then twisted his manhood with a sharp turn of her
fingers.

“Fuck!” she heard him scream and then opened his eyes at her
in excruciating pain. “Fuck—fuck—fuck!! You bitch…you broke
it!
Oh
god
!”

You
really think I’d have sex with a son-of-a-bitch like you? Oh, you
are far too ambitious!” she yelled at him and then watched him as
he lunged after her. She could swear that she saw tears in his eyes
as he held his fractured shaft in his hands.

I’m
going to kill you!!” Miles gasped.

Not
if I can help it!” Meagan grabbed up a heavy link of chain and then
swung it in his direction, connecting it to his jaw and breathed
agitatedly as he fell to the ground unconscious. She then spat
disgustedly at his body and then ran towards the other room with
every intention of freeing Fabio.

CHAPTER 13

Marco sped down the lonely highway feeling completely torn to
pieces. Could he have ever let this happen? Why did he pull her
into his nasty drama? If he had just left her alone from that day
at the press conference, maybe she would have been much safer. How
selfish he had been! And now, he was driving with a black
cylindrical travelling bag filled with money sitting in his back
seat and a very talkative yet harmless American next to
him.

I
should come inside with you,” Ryan said.

You
cannot. Whoever it is who’s doing this, will kill you and he will
kill Meagan too. I cannot risk that.”

Then what am I supposed to do? She’s my best
friend.”

Marco sighed heavily and then slowed down as he noticed that
he was coming up to the warehouse. “Okay…fine. I am going to park
here,” he said and pulled over to the side of the road. “You stay
here and keep watch. If you hear gunshots or anything at all, call
the police.”

Gunshots? Oh, shit!” Ryan exclaimed and scratched the back of
his head. “Okay—okay.”

Good.” Marco then reached into his glove compartment and
removed his shotgun. He then glanced at Ryan who was now looking
pink in the face and then pushed the weapon into the waist of his
jeans. “Remember; do not move unless you must.”

Okay,” Ryan muttered, swallowing hard, watching Marco remove
the large black bag from the back seat. “Get yourself together,
Ryan! You can do this…,” he whispered to himself and watched as
Marco walked away and towards the huge old building.

Marco held the bag firmly in his right hand and moved swiftly
into the paved yard, eyeing the entire area cautiously and then
recognized the large rusting metal door. He swallowed agitatedly
but tried as best as he could to stay calm but he had never been
more anxious in his entire life. He had to admit, the abductor had
chosen the right place to conduct his criminal affair. The location
was almost isolated and did not even seem like a site where anyone
would want to be…for any cause at all. He just could not wait until
Meagan was in his arms again so that he could tell her how much he
adored her…how he was in love with her.

“Hello?” Marco called out as he pushed the door open. It made
a loud screeching sound as the bottom scraped roughly against the
floor. “Who is here?” He did not hear an answer. “Hello!” He moved
further into the building and looked around. It was gloomy and
dusty inside and there was no sign of a soul. “Meagan?” he murmured
as he heard a small sound coming from an adjoining room. He then
entered the room softly, avoiding making as little sound as
possible, and looked around to see the woman he cared so much about
crouching down on her knees with her back turned to him. His
widened as he noticed that she was helping to undo a knot that was
fastened around his employee, Fabio’s hands. “
Mia tesora
…”

She
then turned shakily to look at him and he felt as his stomach twist
at the sight of her frightened expression. “Marco? What—what are
you—?”

Marco dropped the bag at his feet and then rushed over to her
to her grabbing her and looking her straight in the eyes with
concern printed all over his face. “What happened? Where is
he?”

I
don’t know—I don’t—.”

Listen to me, Meagan. Pay attention. Where is he?”

She
shook her head frantically. “Miles? I hit him in the head…with
a—with a heavy chain.”

Miles?” he questioned.

“Signor
, we
need to get out of here before he comes to,” Fabio muttered. “He
has a gun.”

Okay. We shall waste no more time trying to untie you. We
should go right now.” He then helped Fabio to his feet and then
grasped Meagan by her arm to her feet. He then picked up the
travelling bag and removed his gun from his waist. “Stay behind
me…Try not to make any noise, okay?”

“Okay,” he heard her breathe. Meagan followed behind him and
Fabio did the same as they walked quietly towards the door. At that
moment, she was more worried than she had ever been in a very long
while. Not only because she was in that particular situation but
because she was frightened out of her skin that there was the
possibility of Miles regaining consciousness already. She just
wanted then to hurry up and leave the building before anything else
was to happen.

Meagan had just released a heavy sigh of relief upon stepping
out into the bright sunlight when she heard a sound behind her.
“Marco, look out!”

Her
voice jolted through him like an electric bolt and he spun around
almost immediately to come in contact with man who was then making
his life far too difficult to live. She had not even known what had
happened until she heard the racketing sound of a bullet and her
widened to see the man she loved—despite everything that had
happened between them—fall to the ground.

I
get the last word here, Mussolini!” Miles yelled, limping and
wincing in pain as he touched his bleeding forehead.

Marco’s palm shot to the side of his abdomen and he looked
down at it as the blood started to soak his shirt. “Miles Hart?” he
groaned. “What—? Why?”

You
made my life a living hell! That’s why!”

That is not—not true! We were the best of friends.”

Oh,
don’t you patronize me, Marco. You know nothing about—.”

You
do not want to do this,” Fabio said, wishing he wasn’t so helpless.
He them moved slowly towards Miles, trying as best as he could to
talk him out of his current fatal intentions.

“Shut up!
No
one
—no one is
talking to you.”

This—this is not the way to settle anything, Miles. You need
to put down the weapon. This is outra—.”

And
before Meagan could even register the sight of Miles Hart raising
his gun, she heard the extreme firing of his gun once again and
Fabio fell to the ground, groaning in anguish as blood stained the
foot of his pants quickly.

Oh
my god!” she gasped, her eyes now searching frantically for an
escape sign that seemed to be nowhere nearby.

Goddd!!!” Miles snapped and rubbed his perspiring forehead
with the mouth of his gun. “Look what you made me do! If you’d just
shut the hell up like I told you! No one was die here, except Marco
Mussolini!” At that moment, Meagan had finally escaped her panic
and had grabbed up Marco’s gun, pointing it at Miles. He then
chuckled. “You know what? Mee-gan, why don’t you go ahead and put
down the gun, sweetie, before you hurt yourself!”

“Don’t you patronize me
,” Meagan snapped with tears now flowing down her
face. “I will shoot you.”

“Meaga…
mia
tesora
,” Marco’s
voice sounded strained. She glanced down at him to notice that his
face was now white and pale. “You don’t have to—.”

Marco, you just worry about stopping that bleeding,” she
responded roughly. “And let me think!”

Women!” Miles chuckled. “They’re as stubborn as hell. Listen
to the dead man speak, Mee-gan! Put it down.” He then started
approaching her slowly. “Don’t come any closer—stop! I will shoot
you, you son-of-a-bitch!”
