ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
It goes without saying I wouldn’t have made it without the support from my husband and best friend of almost thirty years. You’re an amazing man. Thank you for coming along every crazy adventure I dare dream up. You’re the yin to my yang.
To my boys-- especially my oldest, for answering every crazy question mom threw his way about his tour in Afghanistan, the Army, weapons, and more. Thanks for opening up and sharing your experiences in the sandbox. To Gabe and Allan--it’s great to have doctors in the family. Thank you for answering my crazy text messages and helping me with all things medical.
A huge thanks to the amazing betas for calling me out, loving my characters, and keeping me real: Candice, Gloria, Courtney, Debbie, Emily, Lynnette, and Angela; I couldn’t have done it without you. Courtney and Debbie, thank you for talking me off the ‘ledge’ a few times. To my writing critique partners: Ted and Dave -- Two amazing guys spending countless hours reading a time-travel romantic suspense novel just to help a strange woman out. Thanks so much, you guys rock! I can’t wait until we are all published authors.
To my editor Lea Burn for going above and beyond what was required of her. May all mortals have your sense of dedication and passion; you’re my ‘Word Yoda’. My friend Debbie, at Palm Tree Editing for reminding me that grammar is King. Thank you both for making me sound smarter than I actually am. Thanks to Julie Deaton proofreader extraordinaire, and a big thanks to the wonderful Angeline Fortin, for weaning me out of semi-colons, and saving me from myself.
Finally, to my favorite authors, my rock stars, my mentors: Amy A. Bartol and Laura Kaye. Thank you so much for answering every dumb question, giving me feedback, and sharing your experiences with an unknown fangirl like me. You guys are so giving and wonderful, there are no words. Your writing reaches my soul, feeds my spirit, and takes me to unimaginable journeys. I only wish I’m able to do the same and pay it forward someday.
Last but not least: all of you readers. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
