“Oh my god!” she gasped as she collapsed on
top of him, her entire body covered with a thin film of sweat. She
could see that he was similarly affected. “You’re amazing,” she
whispered through half-closed eyelids.

“No, you are,” he said, kissing her
forehead. “Thanks for calling me out on my shit.”

“Why wouldn’t you look at me?” she asked him
as she ran her hand over his muscled chest, feeling his
heartbeat.

“Just...” He smiled as he combed her hair
away from her sweaty face. “Maybe I’ll tell you later.”

“Later?” Nicole asked in confusion. Then she
sat straight up, with his half-hard penis still buried inside her.
“Fuck! I have a flight to catch. I hope I didn’t miss it. I can’t
afford another.” She tried to move away, but Tyler held her
fast.

“Forget your flight,” he told her. “I want
you to join me for dinner later tonight on my private yacht.”

“Your
yacht
?” Nicole repeated in
shock.

“It was a birthday gift from my big
brother,” Tyler said with a smile. He rocked his hips gently
underneath her. “What do you say, Nicole? Want to get drunk with me
and fuck all night in the middle of the ocean?”

Nicole stared down at his boyish grin for a
moment before breaking into a smile of her own. “Fine,” she told
him, leaning forward to place a wet, sloppy kiss on his mouth; “but
you owe me a plane ticket, tiger.”

“I could throw in some diamonds, too,” he
told her casually. “Or do you prefer pearls?”

She looked at him suspiciously. “Blood-red
rubies. But it would be worth more to me if you could drink your
milk and take your vitamins so that you can stay hard for me all
night.”

“Don’t worry. I’ll stay hard longer than you
can handle. I’ll be fucking you until you’re sore.”

“Doubt it,” Nicole said skeptically, but
even as she said this, she felt him growing inside her.

Tyler pulled her body against his and rolled
over so that she was lying on her back. “Once more for the road,”
he told her with a small growl. “Then I need to get to some stupid
board meetings. With my brother away from home, I’m actually being
forced to work.”

“Don’t work too hard,” Nicole told him
breathlessly. “Save some energy for me.”

He began moving in slow, long strokes inside
of her. “You have no idea how much energy I have, love. You’re
going to be begging me to stop and limping for a week.”

Nicole grinned. “Boy. You sure are my kind
of man.”

Chapter Five

Eva let the strap of her purse fall from her
shoulder the moment she entered the hotel room that Andreas had
booked for the two of them. It was more like a motel, but it was
cozy and right near the hospital. A sigh of relief escaped her lips
as she approached the bed and let herself fall onto the soft
mattress.

“Mm, good choice,” she moaned in pleasure as
her body felt cradled by the bed. She tilted her head to the side
when she felt his weight sink into the bed beside her.

“I always make good choices, don’t I?” he
asked with a small laugh. His arms snaked around her body and
embraced her tightly against his chest.

“Hmm, just cuddle with me,” she requested.
She felt instantly at ease in his arms and felt her body relax. She
scooted herself even closer against him by shimmying her hips until
she felt her entire body touching his.

He didn’t speak; he didn’t need to. All that
mattered was that she was feeling safe. His hands pressed against
her stomach and he felt the muscles underneath her shirt flex at
his touch. He smiled against her neck and planted kisses on her
skin. She cooed lightly at the sensations his attention was causing
her. Her hips shifted and felt the bulge in his pants begin to
grow.

“You should take your pants off. Help me
relax,” she whispered softly.

“No. Let’s just sleep, Eva. You’re
exhausted,” he said firmly. As tempting as she was, he knew she
wasn’t in a position to have sex with him.

“Don’t worry about that. I just need you
inside me, please.” Her voice was filled with ache and desire. She
wanted him to make her forget. She didn’t want to have her mind
filled with thoughts of her mother lying unconscious in that damn
hospital bed.

“Later, I promise. When things are okay,” he
said softly and began to massage her shoulder. “Just listen to my
voice, and breathe deeply.”

The tone in his voice sent shivers down her
spine and the pressure of his thumbs against her back spread relief
over the area. She hadn’t even realized how stressed she was until
the blood rushing to the area to heal her aching muscles. “Okay,”
she breathed out.

He slowly rolled her onto her stomach and
straddled her hips. His thumbs pressed into the taut muscles of her
back and encouraged the crimson life force to heal her mind and
body. She began to take deep breaths from her chest and almost
instantly her mind went blank.

“That feels nice,” she moaned, continuing
her breathing. Everything was disappearing under his touch. The
nightmarish thoughts of her mother were banished and replaced by
the sensation of Andreas’ touch. With each breathe she was able to
release the negativity that had been building up for days. For the
first time in hours she was convinced that everything was going to
be alright. She didn’t have a worry in the world as her body
drifted off into slumber.

When he was sure that Eva had fallen deep
into her sleep, he dismounted her hips and scooted up the bed to
wrap his arms around her once again.

Eva was blissfully plastered against Andreas
on the comfortable king-sized bed. They breathed together as one. A
ringing sound caused Eva to rip herself away from him and bolt
upright to dig into her pockets for her phone.

“Doctor?” she said into the receiver with
worry. “How is she?”

“Unfortunately, her condition seems to be
worsening,” the doctor told Eva. “But that’s not why I’m calling. I
was contacted by your insurance company, and they say that they
aren’t going to be able to cover her treatment.”

“What?” Eva said in shock. “But why? Please,
I don’t have any other options...”

“Could you put Mr. Torres on the line?” the
doctor asked. “I’m sure that I can work something out with
him.”

Eva glanced down at Andreas who was stirring
awake and rubbing his eyes. “No,” she said firmly. “Please let me
know what’s going on with my mom. When can I see her?”

“Miss Williams, I think that you should come
back to the hospital. You can see her now. I’m a little worried
that she won’t make it through the night.”

With a sob, Eva hung up the phone and threw
it aside, putting her face in her hands.

Andreas moved to her side and placed his
hand on her back. “Eva, what’s wrong?”

It was a moment before she could catch her
breath. She turned to look up at him with fear in her eyes.
“Andreas. What am I going to do?”

Chapter Six

Nicole lay in her bikini aboard the large
pleasure yacht. The staff had been bringing her tropical drinks
garnished with colorful little umbrellas for well over two hours.
She was beginning to grow impatient as she continued checking the
time on her phone. Every fifteen minutes, her anger would grow a
little more. The sun was now setting, and she was beginning to feel
pathetic for ever believing that Tyler would show up. When the
ship’s butler replaced her mostly drained Mai Tai with a lovely
Piña Colada, Nicole reached out to grab his wrist.

“Hey. Are you sure I’m in the right place?”
she asked him awkwardly. “This is the
Clarissa?”

“Yes, ma’am,” said the butler with a smile.
“This yacht belongs to Andreas and Tyler Torres. I was told to be
expecting a lovely brunette. You are most definitely in the right
place.”

“Then where the fuck is Tyler?” Nicole
hissed. “I’ve been waiting for hours!”

The butler blinked. “I’m sorry ma’am. Master
Torres is a free spirit, and you never know when he’ll show up—or
not.”

Nicole growled softly. “Can you call him and
tell him that I’m waiting?”

“I’m sorry, ma’am. I don’t know his personal
number. Maybe you can call him?”

“I don’t know it either,” Nicole said with a
frown. “Fuck. Fuck him.”

“Indeed,” said the butler lightly, before
retreating back into the belly of the yacht.

Grabbing the piña colada, Nicole brought the
straw to her lips to drink deeply of the alcoholic beverage. Hours
ago, she had informed the butler to make the drinks stronger, with
less of the sweet juices and creams to water them down. She felt
like she had ingested a gallon of rum by the time she put the drink
down. She let her head drop back down against the luxurious lounge
chair.

Nicole’s eyes closed as she let her mind
drift back to her fourteenth birthday. She had been surprised and
overjoyed to receive a phone call from her father, who had
abandoned her for over a decade. He had sounded charming and
excited to meet with her and rekindle their relationship. He had
invited her to dinner at his favorite restaurant in the city; a
little cozy Chinese food spot where they had eaten often as a
family when she was younger.

She had showed up on time, wearing her best
dress. At the time, Nicole had been a rough-and-tumble tomboy whose
main priorities included softball and running track. She never wore
dresses, but she had gone out of her way to impress her father. It
was her hope that if she looked her best, maybe he would want to
see her again and be part of her life. Maybe he would want to stick
around.

As her birthday was in December, the
restaurant had set up a little miniature Christmas tree to be
festive. Nicole could still remember every decoration on that
Christmas tree as she stared at it for five hours, trying her best
to maintain some dignity and not break down and cry. The restaurant
staff had taken pity on her and given her free appetizers since she
had no money. They had also allowed her to use their phone; but
Nicole did not even know her father’s number.

“Fuck this,” Nicole whispered to herself as
she stood up, angrily wrapping her sarong around her hips and
sliding her feet into her sandals. She pushed her sunglasses up
onto the top of her head as it had grown too dark to wear them.
Grabbing her phone, she began walking off the yacht. On second
thought, she turned back and swung her hand into the glass that had
been holding her drink, sending it crashing to the ground.

She watched with a satisfied nod as the
glass shattered. “Asshole,” Nicole muttered, and she found herself
filled with the urge to smash more things. Moving into the dining
area of the yacht, she saw the table which had been set for a
candlelight dinner by the boat’s staff. The candles were nearly
burned down to their holders already. Nicole glared at this
romantic setting before moving forward to grab one of the plates
and hurl it across the room. It smashed against the wall with a
lovely cacophony, causing a staff member to come running out of the
kitchens.

“Ma’am!” said a female cook. “What are you
doing?”

Nicole turned to look at her appraisingly as
she picked up another plate. The woman was slightly plump and sweet
in a matronly way, and she reminded Nicole of Eva’s mother. This
caused her to soften a bit.

“He made me wait,” she told the woman in a
furious voice, “for hours.”

The woman sent her a small smile. “Do you
really like him?”

Nicole felt insulted by the question. “I
don’t know. I just—I hate it when people break promises. Like, be a
man and keep your word.”

“Sadly, men never do, dearie,” said the
kindly cook. “But just wait a little while longer. Tyler never
entertains his lady friends aboard this boat. You must be special
to him if he invited you here. Are you two dating? Are you his
girlfriend?”
