Lasting Attraction (Cassie Series) (27 page)

After the party, we clean up the mess. Dakota is staying the night, since her and Jason are inseparable now.

Once we get Violet into her crib, we make a giant bed on the living floor and allow them to watch movies and snack. Avery and I take the couch and cuddle up next to one another. I'm glad I don't have to work weekends, because I can enjoy these moments with my family.

I started working three months before I had violet at the local police station as a dispatcher. Although its not my ideal job, not exactly what I went to school for, its something. It got my foot in the door and eventually I'll work my way up to be more. I don't ever want to become a cop, but I want to do more in the criminal justice field. Avery got done at the garage and actually became a personal trainer at a local gym, helping people in fighting strategies. He has helped one person get into the semi pros, like he was before, and is working at getting more people there. I can tell he misses fighting some days, but he seems like he really loves his job.

Pierce's company has expanded even more, with the help of Evan and Miah, and the amount of money he makes is unreal. He doesn't use and abuse his power or money, instead he does well with it. They bought a home together and Jason's bedroom is there is the size of my living room. He is still taught the value in everything he owns, and I can honestly say that Pierce is an amazing father. Miah is great with Jason as well, and I appreciate her being a great step mother. I didn't know she couldn't have kids, and instead of being jealous about Pierce and I have a child together, she accepts it and treats him like her own. I have so much respect for her for that, that we actually get along great.

Avery and I got married last summer. It was a beach wedding, and it was kept simple and small. Just those we love most attended. I know without a doubt that I wouldn't change one thing in my life. It's funny when I think about the first time Avery ever kissed me by the pool that day all those years ago- or when his family moved when we were twelve- I never would have pictured us actually get married, having a family, and living the rest of our lives together. Especially after everything we went through over the past five years. I'd do it all again to end up exactly where I am now.

Thank you for reading the Cassie series! I really hope you enjoyed this journey!!
