She quit the job she was working at with my father at
about the same time their divorce was finalized. That was less than
a year after we moved out. We qualified for a small business loan
and opened up a little shop on the Jersey shore. We sell clothing
and souvenirs to the many tourists who come by, and although we don’t
make a lot of money, we do make a living.

And, most importantly, we’re together.

Always together.
