He watched as the brothers nodded, then turned and worked their way around each end of the couch, slowing the closer they got to Winter with his lap full of little girls.

The girls leaned their heads back against Winter’s chest, turning their little cherub faces to look up at the big men. Winter felt them stiffen in what he could only assume was fear. He looked up and felt a shiver of lust race through him for the tall, tall men who looked like giants from this angle and knew why the girls might be frightened.

“Come down here and meet my friends,” he encouraged with a gentle smile.

Hawk was not sure what to expect as he sat down and crossed his legs a couple of feet from his mate. The three little girls looked so tiny as they pressed closer into Winter’s embrace. He watched as Garrett assumed the same pose on the other side.

Crystal-blue eyes looked from him to his brother then back again. Then the three turned to look at each other. An endless moment later, the one dressed in purple pulled from Winter’s embrace.

Hawk held his breath as she stood up, found her balance, and slowly toddled his way. Though he watched her closely, he saw that the one in pink got up and headed toward Garrett. He didn’t breathe until she paused just inches from his leg, looking him up and down as if trying to memorize him.

“How do we tell them apart?” Hawk whispered, not wanting to scare her.

“Talia always dressed Carrie in purple, Jessie in pink, and Marissa in yellow,” Winter said.

“So your name is Carrie?” he asked the little girl. Her eyes lit up and she said something, but for the life of him, Hawk did not make sense of it. He smiled gently and held out one hand, palm up. “Nice to meet you, little one.”

He jumped when she slapped her hand down into his palm with a giggle that sent a tingle through him to settle somewhere deep in his chest. Winter laughed as Carrie crawled fearlessly into his lap to rub her cheek against his.

“I’d say she likes you, Hawk,” Winter said as he tickled the little girl in his lap.

“Hey, let go,” Garrett said, drawing their attention in his direction. Jessie had her both hands fisted in his hair as she tried to pull herself up his lap.

Jessie released him then sat down on his crossed ankles with a huff. Her bottom lip quivered, and she looked she was about to cry.

Hawk smiled as his twin looked to Winter with panic in his eyes. “What did I do wrong?”

“I think she wanted to give you a kiss.”

“Oh, well, why didn’t you say so, honey?” With that Garrett gently wrapped his hands around the little girl’s middle and lifted her until they were eye to eye. “Hello, Jessie. I’m Papa Garrett.”

Garrett grinned as she brushed her lips against his before wrapping her arms around his neck and laying her head on his shoulder.

“Well, I guess that answers that question,” Hawk said, knowing exactly what Garrett was feeling as his brother’s chest rumbled with a happy growl.

“Which question?” Winter said.

“As to whether we’re keeping them or not. We have no choice. Garrett’s in love.”

“That’s fine, but just so you remember I was here first,” Winter snarked.

“Oh, baby, we’ll have no problem remembering that,” Garrett assured him.

“None at all. But we’ll have to move the office so the girls can have that room,” Hawk added. “And we’ll have to…”

“Hawk, all of that can wait until after I’ve had my coffee and we give the girls some breakfast,” Winter said as he set Marissa on her feet on the floor and stood up.

Chapter 9

Anna and Bridget spent the next two days helping the new daddies settle in with the little girls. The girls seemed quite comfortable with the trio of gay men, and there seemed to be a minimum of fuss in making the transition.

The men moved a queen-size mattress to the fortress’s living room where the girls seemed quite happy to sleep once the women had childproofed the first floor and Evan and Frank built a small fence to keep them from climbing the stairs to the second floor.

Autumn’s wedding preparations went along without a hitch, except that the wedding dress she’d ordered had yet to arrive from the dressmaker.

Tuesday morning, Anna decided she needed to get away from the huge crowd of family for a while. Looking at Martin and Robert who sat on either side of her at breakfast, she saw they looked almost as stressed as she felt. They had taken walks up into the mountains every day and talked about Robert’s plans for his second career and their life as a triad. With each conversation, she found herself growing more and more comfortable with the idea of having two men in her life and in her bed.

But right now she needed to be fucked long and hard.

Feeling a hunger for what only they could give her, she leaned toward Robert until her lips almost touched his ear. “I’m going to take a walk up the mountain. Want to go with me and see what kind of trouble we can get into?”

Robert froze then turned and looked from her to Martin and back again. “What about Martin?” he whispered.

Anna looked at her husband. He met her gaze, and his eyes got wide when she winked at him then slowly licked her lips in a blatant come-on she had used often when they were out at parties or in crowds. “He can come, too, if he wants. But I need to get away from all these people and try to relax a little.”

She watched as the brothers exchanged a glance. They then stacked all the dishes within reaching distance. A moment later, they both stood up and carried the dishes to the kitchen.

Anna looked at Summer, who sat across the table from her, and winked. “All it takes is a little of the right kind of motivation and you can get them to do anything you want.”

Summer smiled. “We’ll have to talk later about exactly what the right kind of motivation consists of.”

“Much later,” Robert said as the two men returned.

“There’s a thermos under the coffee bar counter. Fill it and take some of these muffins with you,” Bridget said from down the table, her smile saying she knew exactly what they were doing. “You’ll need the energy later on.”

“Thank you, ma’am,” Robert said with a smile as he helped Anna from her chair.

Ten minutes later Martin led the way out the back door of the Wash House. He and Robert each carried a daypack slung over one shoulder. His contained the coffee, muffins, and several quickly prepared sandwiches while his brother’s held a blanket and other supplies that Bridget and Anna felt were necessary for their hike up the mountain to the gazebo. Summer and Bridget assured them that they would keep the family from visiting the gazebo while they were gone.

Anna was not surprised as Martin took lead at the beginning of the well-marked trail at the edge of the clearing. She and Martin had walked this trail up to the gazebo at least once during each of their visits. More often than not, by the time they reached the gazebo they were so aroused they would strip off enough clothing to have sex in the outdoors. The fear that someone might come down the mountain from the Appalachian Trail added an exciting thrill to their encounters that they talked about for weeks afterward.

In anticipation of today’s adventure, Anna wore a warm sweater and a full, ankle-length skirt with her hiking boots. She had dressed and left the room before her men woke, so neither of them knew she had not bothered with a bra or panties.

Robert followed her up the trail, and she could feel his eyes on her ass as if he were physically touching her. As they walked, they talked and pointed out various animals or breathtaking sights, but Anna knew she would remember none of the topics they talked about later.

Most of her mind focused on the way her body responded to the hike. The cool, fresh air, and the knowledge that they were about to have sex at the gazebo sent heat pulsing through her body in anticipation. Her clit felt full and hard. Just her legs rubbing together and pressing against her slit caused her pussy to overflow, dampening her upper thighs more and more by the minute. Her nipples were hard and tight, aching for more pressure than just the brush of her shirt provided.

The trail itself sloped up the side of the mountain, not nearly as challenging as some of the 5 and 10K walks through Raleigh that Anna had participated in over the years. But Martin set a fast pace, and by the time they reached the place where the trail leveled out and the trees gave way to the small clearing where the gazebo sat looking out over Sanctuary and the mountains beyond, she felt the need to take a break.

Climbing the handful of steps to the gazebo, she looked out over the mountains and valleys below their high vantage point. Though most of the trees had lost their color for the winter, the remaining greens of the pines and evergreens mixed with the grays and blues and smoky purples to remind her that even in death, life did continue.

“It’s beautiful,” Robert said as he stepped up next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

Glancing in Martin’s direction she found he had rearranged the furniture and was spreading out the blanket they’d brought with them. Anna leaned into Robert’s embrace and sighed.

“Yes, it is,” she agreed.

The sexual heat that flared to life in that instant was so similar to that she felt for her husband of more than thirty years that Anna gasped at its intensity.

“You okay?” Robert asked gently.

His arm moved, and he shifted his hand from where it held her upper arm across her chest to rest over her breast. The warmth of his touch had her nipple aching for attention, demanding he do more than just warm it with his palm.

As she lifted her hand to lay it over his to press his palm harder against her breast, Martin answered for her as he stepped up on her other side.

“This place makes her horny. Being up here with both of us, she’s probably ready to go off like a rocket. Especially since we were too tired from playing with babies last night to do more than cuddle together.”

Anna shot him a sharp look as her hand dropped from Robert’s to brush down over the bulging front of Martin’s jeans. “Careful, buddy boy, or you won’t get any today and maybe not tomorrow either. I’ve got two men now, and I’ll bet Robert would be quite happy to make love with me right here and now without any snarky comments.”

Instead of agreeing with her as she expected, Robert lifted his arm from around her, then stepped away. “No, Anna, I wouldn’t.”

“Why not?” Anna asked as she swayed, trying to find her balance. Shifting and spreading her feet a few inches helped, but she still wished one or the other of her men would step up and cuddle her.

“One of the biggest things about triad relationships is communication. That means we all talk about everything that is going on in our marriage, good and bad. And we cannot pit one partner against another. If you’re mad at Martin, you can punish him by not having sex with him. But you will not play us against each other, either in bed or out. Try and you’ll be getting a spanking that you won’t soon forget. There will also be no secrets between the three of us. What you say to him or to me, we will tell one another. Besides, I bet he’s right and you are all hot and horny and need to come, aren’t you?”

Anna shifted, crossing her arms over her middle in a protective manner, feeling defensive and petty. She did not like being treated like a child, and that was what she felt like, a schoolgirl getting a talking-to in front of the whole class.

“Maybe, maybe not.”

“Anna, you already know that lying will not be tolerated in my household. And you know the punishment is a bare-ass spanking,” Martin said. “Now answer Robert’s question so we can get onto the fun stuff.”

Anna huffed a sigh. She would never win this argument, and the truth was, she
was
horny. But that did not mean she could not get a little payback at their expense. She knew from years of experience that a good imagination and descriptive words could rev Martin’s motor to the limit in no time. She only hoped that Robert had the same reaction.
