Wrapped tight in her lover’s arms, his release surging through his body and into hers, she silently vowed that there would never be a time that he doubted her love for him. Ian had never given up on her even when she had given up on herself. He had loved her during her worst. She would spend the rest of her life giving him her best.

Epilogue

One month later

Midnight

The bride was beautiful in a cream silk off the shoulder sheath. The groom was tall, handsome and dashing in a black tuxedo.

The matron of honor wore a soft peach gown that draped lovingly around her slender shoulders and made her skin glow. The maid of honor wore a mint green gown with an overlay of ivory lace. It was the first time in years that Sabrina felt like a girly-girl. And even though she’d had to wear three-inch heels and a little flower in her hair, she had to admit she kind of liked the feeling.

“Ready?”

She glanced over at her escort. No man should look so devastatingly gorgeous or dangerous in a tux. Ian Mackenzie, her fiancé, the love of her life, put every James Bond actor to shame.

She took the arm he offered and squeezed it slightly. “You’re sure this isn’t the kind of wedding you’d rather have?”

“Absolutely not. Besides, with my family, having a large wedding is pretty much in the cards already.”

She smiled at the truth in his statement. Ian’s family was ecstatic over their upcoming wedding and even though it would be a simple affair, she spoke with his mother and sisters almost daily about hairstyles, colors, and flowers. Ian’s sister Callie was making Sabrina’s bouquet.

Their wedding was planned for the week after Sammie and Quinn returned from their honeymoon but would be nothing remotely as elaborate as this one. A large wedding with hundreds of guests, thousands of flowers, and multiple attendants was Sammie’s dream but not Sabrina’s.

Her idea of the perfect wedding involved comfortable clothes, good food, and most importantly everyone she loved. She never believed that she would ever find the right man to have her perfect wedding though. Until Ian. He had made all of her dreams come true.

Weather permitting, their wedding would take place outdoors, in Midnight’s park. Since everyone in town was welcomed to attend, she had a feeling it would be quite large in numbers. She hoped so. She had so much love for this town and its residents. They had come to her rescue, saving her and her family’s lives. How could she not invite them to the happiest event in her life?

A nervous, frazzled looking woman with wiry gray hair whispered loudly, “That’s your cue, Sabrina. Go!”

Her smile bright, Sabrina held Ian’s arm as they headed down the isle. Three weeks from today, they would be reciting the same vows that Sammie and Quinn were today. She couldn’t wait. For so long she had been sure that the shadows of her past would forever darken her future. But thanks to Ian and her family, those shadows were gone for good.

And she knew without a doubt that somewhere above them, Maggie and Beckett Wilde looked down on their daughters and were smiling, too.
