“How?” She sat up and wriggled her arms. The sleeves of her gown seemed incredibly uncooperative and stayed stubbornly around her wrists. “I fear I’m imprisoned by my clothing.”

Felix laughed. “Well, my dear, I’m in no position to help you.” He waggled his hands inside their bindings.

Miranda gritted her teeth. It was obvious Felix was gaining some amusement from her predicament. “It would serve you right if I walked away and left you to get out of your ties,” she said as she managed to gain some purchase on the material around her wrist and began to slide her hand through the tight opening. “Ah, that’s better.” One hand and arm were free of her dress. It was easy then to work the other one out of its confines. “Then what would you do?”

“Hmm.” Felix raised one eyebrow. “Do you really want to know...now?” He winked.

That simple gesture made her mouth dry. Why something so little could make her skin tingle she had no idea, but now Miranda knew she would do anything he asked.
Please God, don’t let him ask me to leave. We have got to this point, I must know more.

“Perhaps not,” Miranda answered him hurriedly. “Instead, I will do as you asked me. She wriggled her dress lower until all the material gathered just above her quim.

“That wasn’t what I asked,” Felix said in a soft voice. “I believe my words were that it would please me to see you naked.”

He didn’t raise his voice, but there was now a distinct note of authority in it. Miranda began to realize she’d met her match. Though she might think she was in charge it was all an illusion. Did she mind? She thought about it very briefly and decided she didn’t. Not if the end result was that Felix accepted her as his partner, and maybe more.

“Then naked I shall be,” Miranda said with much more insouciance than she experienced. “If by your leave?” She gestured to her dress. “I will need to stand to pull it off.”

He shook his head. “No need. I’m sure you can twist out of that flimsy material now, without too much trouble. And I confess it will please me to see you do so.”

Put like that it pleased Miranda also. She dipped her head in acknowledgement, and licked her dry lips. “Then, my lord, as I want to please you above all else, let me see what I can do.”

Should she lift the material over her head? Or bunch it downward and take it over each leg in turn? Either way might not be a pretty sight, and above all she wanted to titillate not irritate.

Over my head. ‘Twil be slightly more elegant I hope.
She took a deep breath and began to lift the gown upward. The chill of the evening air hit her bare limbs and she shivered.

“You really need to stoke the fire up,” Felix commented. “Or my cock will shrivel and your body so cold we will make an ice block. I’d rather create an inferno.”

So would she. She hauled on the material until it slithered over her breasts and shoulders and covered her face, and lifted her arms to pull it clear of her altogether.

“Stay like that for one moment.” Even though Felix’s voice was muffled there was no mistaking the passion in it. “If I were a painter, this would be one erotic pose I would paint you in. It titillates and arouses. My cock is nigh snapped in half by the pressure of my pantaloons on it.”

Miranda held her arms in place unsure whether to be pleased or exasperated. “How on earth could a cock snap?”

“Because the top of my pantaloons is cutting off the circulation.”

She hadn’t realized she’d spoken aloud. Miranda was mortified with herself. How could she?

“So, may I suggest we move forward?” Felix asked. “Take your dress off, take me inside you, and intrigue me.”

That was the problem; she had no idea just what to do to intrigue him. Struggling out of a gown was so not enticing. However, she did her best. It seemed it was good enough. As her dress fell over her head and then onto the bed, Felix whistled.

“Oh my, yes.” He grinned. “And more of the same will be more than acceptable.”

“I’d wager, though sadly you lose. I intend to...”

“Fuck me.” He broke into her rambling in a terse and demanding voice. “Now.”

Well, that was easy to say, but, Miranda thought, perhaps not so easy to put into practice. If he could let her know by osmosis what to fuck a man meant, she would be everlastingly thankful.

“I wish to, but in all honesty? I have no idea how.” There now she had been open and truthful. How would Felix respond?

“Then may I show you?” His gaze was intent, and even if she had wanted to she wouldn’t have been able to look away. He held her attention like a mongoose held that of a snake.

What could she say but please? She nodded. “Oh, please do.”

“Then let me direct you.” His soft voice, full of the images of molten chocolate poured over rich, silky, velvet, made her insides go to mush. She had no option, but to forsake her ideals for his.

“Please.”

He stared and she squirmed.

“Why?” he asked.

How could she explain why? “I er...” She stopped speaking and bit her lip. “Oh, for heavens sake, Felix,” she said in an outburst. “Because I have no idea how to progress. I know what I think I want, but I have no idea how to get it.”

He laughed. A deep, toe curling in the best possible way laugh. “Luckily, I do.”

Chapter Seven

“Lift up my shirt. Sadly you can’t pull it off and it doesn’t open by buttons. But you can let the air to my flesh if you want. Then it will be up to you to warm me.”

“Ah, now that I can do.” With more haste than finesse, Miranda grasped the hem of his fine linen shirt and worked it as far up as she could. With a wicked grin, she pressed three nipping kisses to his chest. The cool air was perfect on his now heated flesh. She ran her tongue around her lips, and put one finger into her mouth. The sight made his mouth go dry. Then she removed the digit and circled each hard male nipple. His groan made her smile.

“So that is good?”

“Very good.”

Miranda leaned back and studied him. Her gaze seemed to sear his soul and he shivered.

“Pull my pantaloons off.”

She jumped, bit her lip, saw the way he glared, and stopped immediately.

“Good girl.” She blushed at his words and Felix decided to increase his demands. “You want to be in charge, this is your chance for I don’t give up my domination easily.”

Miranda licked her lips. “I’m at a loss how to get your pantaloons off when I have your legs tied. I didn’t think that through, did I?”

Felix shook his head as he enjoyed her confusion. “Not at all. So now what?”

“Let me see.” She straightened and lifted her arse off her heels. “Hmm...either, I undo your legs and undress you as best I can. Or I use a knife.”

He hadn’t thought of
that
. If he’d been able, he would have covered his cock with his hands. So far, no woman he’d met could be trusted with a knife. Although, he had an idea Miranda may well surprise him.

“Your choice, my dear.”

“This time?” she asked with a twinkle in her eye. “I’ve heard about your ideas and domination.” He blinked and she giggled. “Ladies gossip. Especially about the unusual demands of certain gentlemen. I admit it intrigues me. So if this is my only chance, then I must accept that and do my best. I would say, ‘Do not move,’ but I reckon it’s not necessary.”

Everything she did, everything she said, surprised him in the best possible way. Felix watched her from under lowered lids. With an unconscious sexiness, Miranda slid off the bed and stood on the carpet. “I won’t be more than a minute,” she said as she turned and left the room. He admired the sway of her hips and the way the globes of her arse shifted as she walked. Every movement sent his libido up a notch. At the doorway she looked back over her shoulder.

“I know I’m a good shot, but how am I with a knife? I expect we’re about to find out.” She left the room.

He shouted with laughter. Trust Miranda to make such an exit. But by goodness her last words made him sweat somewhat.

She was back within a few minutes and holding one of the sharpest knives he’d seen outside a kitchen in an age. He suspected it was the one the chef used to chop up meat every day. As the meat was always sliced to perfection, he had no doubt the implement was well honed.

Miranda crossed her eyes—a trick he envied—and struck a pose with the knife between her teeth and arms akimbo. Then she moved the knife and held it aloft before she executed a thrust and parry at some imaginary foe.

“So, my lord, are you ready to disrobe?”

How he wanted to retaliate. Tell her it was he who directed their actions not her. This reversal of roles intrigued him. Just this once. “It seems so, though it goes against the grain. I should be, and take heed
will
be, in charge in future. For now, at the risk of the knife slipping because what I’m about to say
is,
I accept, somewhat condescending, please be careful. I don’t wish to lose the part of me that I want to use with you before I have the chance.” He glanced down at his still hard cock. “If you get my meaning.”

Her eyes widened and mischief showed in them before she shrugged. “Let’s hope I don’t spoil our chances then.” She moved to the side of the bed and looked down at him. “Ah, there doesn’t seem to be much room for maneuver there.” Her face was a study in concentration as she put the tip of the knife to the edge of his pantaloons, and slipped it no more than an eighth-of-an-inch under the material.

The metal was cold on his heated skin. Under any other circumstance, Felix reckoned his prick would have shriveled to the size of his thumb and tried to hide behind his balls. However, the look of concentration on her face, and the way the tip of her tongue slid between her lips, had the opposite effect. All he could do was stay as still as possible, and wait to see what happened next. Felix hoped she didn’t take the sheen of arousal on his skin as one of fear. He might not know what was about to occur, but in truth the anticipation was one of the most arousing feelings he’d ever had.

“I do hope this is equal to the task.” Miranda lifted the sharp tip upward so it poked through the material. It was a relief to have it point away from him.

She began to slit the knitted cloth. Her knuckles grazed his cock.
Thank the lord it was her hand, not her implement.
Much to Felix’s annoyance, he couldn’t hide his indrawn breath, and Miranda raised her eyebrows.

“Scared?”

“Cautious.”

She grinned. It was the look of a cheeky urchin and once again his body responded with a jump of awareness. “That, my lord, is sensible. I’ve never done this before.”

“In one sense I must say I’m relieved. In another practice makes perfect and if this is your practice—” He stopped speaking suddenly. How could he say she was only going to practice on him? Wouldn’t that make him sound stupid when not that long before he was adamant they could have no future together? Now he knew he had totally changed his mind, but he had yet to impart that news to Miranda.

“Yes?” Miranda prompted him and moved the knife deeper into the material it was cutting into.

“Oh, then I hope you’re a fast learner.” Felix improvised rapidly. “What happens next?”

“This.”

The stitches began to unravel and ragged ends of cloth tickled his skin as the knife continued to cut. Gradually his cock was released from its coverings and once more stood up out of its nest of wiry hair. Drops of his essence glistened on its tip, and slicked the sides of the head. The knife reached his balls and the metal stroked the warm skin as it worked above him.

Miranda stared and as he watched her face she blinked and swallowed. “Er, well unless I spend the next hour slitting down each leg, this is as far as I can manage to release you. Will it do?”

She sounded worried. After a brief moment of wicked thoughts of
what if
Felix chose to defuse her anxiety. “Of course. My cock is ready and waiting. You are naked. May I suggest you put the knife down now.”

“What? Oh lud, yes.” Miranda sounded flustered, but she stretched over him—which put her breasts almost within biting reach of his mouth—and set the wicked-looking implement onto the dresser. Afterward, she rested on her haunches and looked at him steadily, her eyes clear, and her skin flushed with a soft rosy hue.

Felix waited as she studied him. He wondered what the sight of him with his shirt scrunched up toward his armpits and his trousers slit from waist to crotch and gaping wide looked like to her. Then she gave a huge sigh. “I think I’ve fallen at the last fence, my lord. What now?”

Ah, so she
hasn’t
thought the how-to through.
It was a relief to know Miranda was still as unskilled as he originally believed.

“You finish what you’ve started and fuck me?” He used the crude expression on purpose. Heaven knows he spoke the word enough in the throes of passion, so it was as well to get Miranda used to it. She didn’t cringe or blink, but sighed again.

“I would if I knew how.”

“Ah.” He didn’t say anything else. If she wanted help she would have to ask for it. The silence wasn’t oppressive, but it did hang around them like a cloak.

Somewhere in the house a clock chimed the hour and Miranda jumped. “Will you show me what happens next, my lord? I’ve been told the mechanics, but not the little things. I mean, I know I want your cock inside my channel, but I can’t say I understand how it will fit. It looks rather large.”

She ran her fingertips down the length of Felix’s staff, which responded by standing ever higher away from his body. Her soft hesitant touch sent tingles of awareness through him. His breath hitched and he bit his lip in an effort not to come. He’d always been proud of his prowess and staying power, but a few more gentle caresses like that and he’d embarrass himself in a way he had never done before. That would finish the party before it had got properly started. Felix was dammed if he’d miss out on the chance of feeling Miranda enclose him inside her. She’d done so much, and he was amazed how perfect it felt. No age difference, no insecurity—just a man and a woman who wanted each other. Perhaps now he could help her to achieve her aim?
