“Sean, I don’t want to hurt you.”

Sitting up he pulled me up with him and took my hand in his. “Then don’t. I’m not asking you to marry me today. I still have some stuff to do before I can ask that, but I want you to know those are my intentions.” He tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear and whispered, “I also plan on fucking your brains out this weekend.” Smiling he pulled away from me and placed a soft kiss on my palm before he walked out of the room, leaving me sitting all alone on the bed. Now my heart was racing.

What the hell was that?

Did that really just happen?

Yes it did. Now I had to figure out what the hell I was going to do about it. Could I ever really see Sean as anything but Sadie’s annoying little brother? I knew the answer to that question, but had no idea how to pass that information along to Sean.

After that crazy incident, I unpacked my clothes, took a shower, and decided to try to get some rest. About the minute my head hit the pillow there was a knock at my door. Then I heard the doorknob twist and that’s when I remembered I locked the door when I got in the shower. Just in case Sean came back. I didn’t want him walking in and finding me naked in the shower. That would not help the situation at all.

“Unlock this damn door,” I heard Sadie grumble.

“Are you still pissy?” I asked, placing my hand against the bedroom door and bracing myself for her answer.

“Let me in this room right now, or your ass will see how pissy I can be.”

Opening the door, I stepped back as Sadie plowed her way into the room. “What are you doing in here?”

“Uh, relaxing? Was I supposed to be doing something else?”

“Yes. You’re supposed to be getting ready so I can take you out and find you that hot cowboy I promised you.” Sadie was already rummaging through the closet pulling clothes out and throwing them on the bed. “Did you bring one outfit that doesn’t scream ‘I’m a stuffy old lawyer to be’? One thing that I can slut you up with?”

“Slut me up? Nope I must’ve forgotten to bring my slut clothes. Sorry,” I responded sarcastically.

Sadie patted me on the shoulder. “Well don’t you worry your pretty little head. I brought a ton of my slut clothes, so I’ll totally hook you up.” She grabbed my hand and started pulling me toward her room.

“Hey, Sadie. Were you crying earlier?” I asked.

“Me? Crying? Psh…hell no. Probably just my allergies acting up. Always hit me when I come home.” I might’ve believed what she just said if she had made eye contact with me once while she said it. I’ve always been pretty good at reading people, and it was clear that Sadie was lying to me. I had no idea why though.

“You are so damn picky,” Sadie mumbled as she continued to pull dresses out of her closet. It seemed like we had been trying stuff on for hours.

“I’m not picky, Sadie. However, I also am not a slut and I don’t relish the thought of dressing like one.”

“’Relish the thought’, holy hell you are old.” She spun around on her toes and facing me said, “Hold up, are you calling me a slut?”

“No, of course not, but some of your clothes are a little questionable.”

“That’s right, they are. I’m not ashamed to show my body off, Ember and you shouldn’t be either.” She pulled me up from the bed and situated us in front of the big full length mirror on her closet door. “We are two beautiful women and tonight we are going out to get some big penis.”

As my eyes met hers in the mirror, we erupted in laughter.

“I think I can help Ember out with that,” Sean declared as he walked through the door and came up behind me and his sister. He was looking me up and down. All I was wearing was a short little nightgown and of course no bra. His eyes lingered on my breasts before Sadie grabbed his ear and twisted it.

“Get your ass out of my bedroom, Sean.”

“But I really want to help Ember out on her quest tonight,” he smirked at me.

“Well first things first, you’re my little brother and she wants nothing to do with you. But most importantly you’d have to have a big penis to fulfill her quest and I think we both know yours is more like a gherkin.”

“Wow, sis. That hurts. I think everyone in this room knows it’s quite a bit bigger than a gherkin.” He winked at me and turned practically hopping down the stairs. Whistling all the way.

“So, I’m thinking I’ll wear the black dress and maybe pair it with those red leopard print heels you showed me.”

“Oh sure, let’s just talk about clothes and try to ignore the fact that my baby brother just insinuated that you know how large his penis is,” she huffed as she stalked over to me. Her big brown eyes flaring while she backed me up against the closet door. “However would you know that, Ember?”

“Um, he was…uh…he was just messing with you Sadie,” I stuttered. “I’ve never really seen your brother’s penis.”

Okay, technically that was a lie, but I’d never seen it in person. So had I really seen it? Yes, I had seen it with a big red bow tied around it in the picture he left beside the bed for me. That didn’t really count though, did it? I decided it didn’t.

Sadie arched an eyebrow at me and said, “I’m not 100 percent sure that I believe you, but since the thought of you seeing, touching, or oh my god I can’t even say it… Anyway the thought of you knowing anything about my brother’s penis makes me sick to my stomach, so I’m going to let it go.”

Ducking away from her and heading over to the bed I breathed a sigh of relief. The last thing I wanted to do was explain to Sadie what had happened with Sean earlier.

“Let’s get this party started!” Sadie yelled as she turned her iPod up and started blaring some
My Darkest Days
music into the room. As my favorite song of theirs started to play,
Casual Sex
, we started dancing around and getting dressed. It felt good. Slowly I started to remember what having fun felt like. And I liked it. The perma smile on my face was probably giving me away too.

As the next song started to play we made our way into the bathroom and worked on our hair. Sadie had the prettiest wavy blonde hair. Her hair always fell right into place and looked perfectly mussed, mine on the other hand was never in place and usually looked like I’d stuck my finger in a socket. Much to my amazement and joy, tonight it was actually cooperating. My long red curls were doing exactly what I wanted them to. I guess getting away from the smog of LA was good for them.

I pulled a small piece of hair away from my face and stuck it back with a small red leopard print clip. You would think that would look rather childish, but with my short black sweetheart neckline dress that was low cut enough to show off quite a bit of my excessive cleavage, fishnet hose, and red leopard print stilettos, it looked pretty damn hot. I could admit it, I was looking damn good.

Sadie decided to go all out slut. She wore a hot pink mini skirt with a white lace tank top. You could see her pink push up bra clearly underneath the tank and it didn’t quite meet the waistband of the skirt so her tan taut stomach was on display too. She chose a pair of white patent leather knee boots with about a four inch skinny heel. Her hair was pulled up into a messy ponytail and she stuck a pink flower in the top of her ponytail. She was the perfect mix of slut and teenager…the guys were definitely going to go nuts over her.

“Where are we going tonight?” I asked as I put the finishing touches on my makeup.

“The Rusty Beaver.”

Stopping mid stroke of lip gloss on my lips, I asked, “Excuse me. I must’ve heard you wrong. Where are we going?”

“You heard me right, Ember. We are going to the Rusty Beaver. It’s an awesome little hole-in-the-wall country bar.”

I rolled my eyes and she said, “Don’t be such a snot. Give it a chance. You’ll like it. I promise.”

When we started down the stairs I noticed Sean was standing by the front door. He was wearing a pair of skin tight Wranglers, a tight black t-shirt, and black leather boots. He turned toward me and his blonde hair was shining in the light from the front porch. Those big brown eyes and bulging biceps could probably get him any woman in the world. So why in the hell did he want me?

“Ladies,” he said as he gestured toward the door. “Ya’ll ready to get this party started?”

“You’re going with us?” I asked quizzically.

Sliding his arm around my shoulder he whispered, “I told you my plan for this weekend, Pinky Pie. Of course I’m going with you.”

Holy shit!

He smelled so fucking good. Like the ocean, and a summer breeze, and holy hell male hotness. God dammit. This was not going to be easy, but I would stay away from him.

Sean grabbed my ass as he ushered us out the door and toward his truck. His big black extended cab Ford. Could he get any hotter? I mean seriously…come on!

I shook my head trying to erase the thoughts that were invading. Thoughts of me riding Sean like the pony I always wanted for Christmas. Thoughts of him exploring my nether regions with that tantalizing tongue I got to experience earlier today. Then the last thought was the one that totally scared me shitless. It was me walking down the aisle toward him. Sean smiling and the bridal march playing. Oh hell no! That would not happen. I couldn’t have sex with him, let alone marry him. Not gonna happen. That was when I hatched a plan. A plan that I knew was wrong, but that had to happen. I’d make him hate me. I could do it. It really wasn’t that hard. I’d find some guy and hang all over him all night and then have him take me home with him. I could do that. I could fuck some random guy to make Sean hate me and then his dreams would be shattered and he could move on. How hard could it be to find some cowboy to spend the night with?

The drive to the bar was eerily calm. Sadie didn’t say a word. I didn’t say a word. Sean sang along with the radio and acted like he couldn’t be any happier.

Could I really break his heart in such a cruel way?

Yes I could. It had to be done and I would do it. Sure he was hot as hell, but I would never see him as anything but Sadie’s little brother.

Would I?

I didn’t think it was possible.

When we pulled up to the bar, Sean jumped out of the truck and came around, opening the door for me. As he started to push it closed behind me, Sadie said, “Excuse me, douche bag. Gonna let your sister out too?”

“I guess. If you have to join us,” he smiled.

Sean tried to wrap his arm around me. I pushed him away. He gave me a weird look and then darted off ahead of us into the bar.

Sadie did not lie. The Rusty Beaver was definitely a dive bar, but I kinda liked it. When we walked in I noticed on the right side was an old bar that was decorated with vintage license plates. They covered the entire bar and were all over the back wall behind the bar too. All different states and some personalized with cute little sayings. There was a big rectangle mirror in the middle of the wall behind the bar and some shelves on either side of it loaded with different liquor bottles. The bartender looked to be in his sixties and I could only assume his life had been rather rough. He wore an old battered denim vest covered in military badges, over a worn out black t-shirt. His long white hair was pulled back into a ponytail and there was a cigar hanging out of his mouth.

The clientele in this establishment was beyond varied – it was eclectic, if you will. There were a few guys in suits over in the corner staring at some blonde chick playing pool. I could only assume it was a biker gang in the back playing darts. They looked hard, yet hot as hell at the same time. A few bar floozies were making their way back and forth from the bar to the dance floor. Drunk and sloshing their drinks all over their tits that were proudly sticking out for everyone to see.

“Sean,” one of the floozies whispered as she came up to him and placed her arms around his neck. From the way she was kissing his neck and pressing her chest up against his, this wasn’t the first time they’d met.

“Cheri. Hey, hey baby,” Sean moaned trying like hell to pry Ms. Floozy off of him.

“What’s the matter, baby? You don’t want to do our ritual tonight? It’s been a whole week,” she whined.

Sean leaned down and whispered something in her ear. She giggled and blew him a kiss as she made her way back to the dance floor. Her ass hanging completely out of the back of her short denim skirt the entire time.

“Seriously, Sean? You put your gherkin in that? Aren’t you afraid it will shrivel up and fall off?” Sadie asked with a laugh. Without waiting for an answer she took me by the hand and said, “Come on. I see the man who can fulfill our quest.”

Sadie led me over to the bar. Wheedling her way to the bar, in between two cowboys, I assumed this because of their big cowboy hats, boots, and skin tight Wranglers, she tapped one on the shoulder.

“Cade Walker. As I live and breathe.”

The cowboy stood up and up and up. My god that man was close to seven feet tall and had the most amazing green eyes I’d ever seen. He tipped his hat and said, “Well if it isn’t little Sadie. How in the world are ya, darlin’?”

“Never been better. My friend here was hoping to get to know you and your ‘cowboy’”, she waved her hand in front of his crotch. “A little bit better.” Sadie smirked and waggled her eyebrows at him.

A deep chuckle escaped his throat. “Well, darlin’, my ‘cowboy’ has been claimed by that hot little redhead standing over by the jukebox.” He waved at the pretty redhead and she smiled back at him. I could only assume she had to be used to people flirting with her man and his ‘cowboy’
