“That's why the females you will be searching for will most likely prove to be careful in beginning a relationship with you.  You must move slowly or you will scare her.  Each of you has an aura of innocence about you that she will feel is reassuring and compelling.  Don't lose that, it's a wonderful quality.”

Looking out at their surprised faces she continued.  “Now, I want to go over a few things that you should not do.  Don't be obviously too excited when you are with her.  Don't frighten her with any idea that you may not be from here.  Give her the explanation that Jonathan gave me, you're from an island off the coast of
Australia
.  Jon can give you the other details.  This story made sense to me initially.  We were married before I had time to really think about it, then I was Bonded and it didn't matter to me anymore.  I only knew that I loved him, which was enough.  Don't think that she feels the same as you, because she won't.”  This came as new knowledge to Jonathan.

“She will feel something, but nothing as strong as you will, until after she has Bonded with you.  If you treat her like the most important person in your life, she'll notice, it'll increase your chances with her tremendously.  Send her candy and flowers with cards that are filled with the poetry of your love.  Take her to a nice place for supper or a movie or play.”

“Never stay the night with her.”  That woke them up.  “She may even ask you to, but don’t.  Many women think nothing of it while they are dating.  Then the mystery you have built in her mind will be gone.  She may then go on with her life while you are left only half bonded.  Let her know that she is extremely appealing to you but at the same time prove that you are also very respectful of her.  It will drive her crazy and she will desire you even more, possibly to the point of her strongly trying to seduce you.”

They all laughed and grinned at that.

“But don't let her.  After a couple of days she might agree to marry you.  Explain the bonding thing
after
she is sexually aroused with you.”

They obviously liked the idea of a female being aroused with them.

       “Now, about kissing.”

       Everyone snickered.

“It's not a laughing matter.  It's an important part of seducing an Earth woman, it can't be done without it.”

They sobered up as she went on to try to explain.  “Kissing is very sensual.  I know what you've been told, but it's not true here.  There are several ways for a man to kiss a woman.  Closed mouth is usually reserved for a friendly kiss.  Every person kisses differently.  When your lips are slightly parted is much better.  Some may even . . . uh, well, uh . . . I'll leave that for Jonathan to explain.”

One brave man stood up and asked, “Could you tell that Jonathan had never kissed before?”

This took her by surprise, she didn't want them to think less of Jon so she split the truth.  “I wasn't sure.”

Another asked, “Will a woman think less of us for not knowing how to kiss?”

“Some women may . . . but only for a few seconds, as long as you begin to kiss her back.”

Many of the men stood up and turned around looking to Jon, they were scared now.

“We need practice Jonathan.  We can't have women laughing at us.  We'll never get bonded then!”

“I did it.  Melody didn't go into all the details of our first kiss, because it's a private thing,” Jonathan explained calmly.

A couple of them chimed in, “Could Melody teach us the Friendly kiss?  At least we'd know how to do that much.”

Jonathan thought about it, then decided that he would allow it, for the sake of instruction.  He was really wrestling with the idea that Mel had said just this morning that he was jealous.  It was perfectly harmless, there was no sexuality involved, these men weren't trying to bond with her.  Who else did they have to teach them?

“If she doesn't object,” Jonathan finally said.

Everyone was excited, they would finally feel what a kiss was really like.

“Jonathan, perhaps you and I should give them a demonstration of how to hold a woman?” Melody asked, hoping to stall the kissing instruction.

       They all looked at Jonathan.

“Alright,” was his only response.  Now he felt at odds.

He strolled up front and put one arm around her waist as he put the other around her shoulders.  “That's how to hold her.”  He had her at almost arms length, Melody noted with a quirky smile.

“This is a closed mouth kiss.”  He kissed her much too quickly.

“This is a slightly open kiss.”  He kissed her rather quickly again.

“This is a full kiss.”  He kissed her a little slower but it was almost a closed mouth kiss.

“Now that's how to hold a woman while you're kissing her.”  He then trotted back to his seat with Mark snickering.

“Jon, ole man, I've seen your full mouth kisses and that was not it.”  He laughed quietly as Jon gave him a dirty look.

“They don't have to know that!  That's my wife they're going to be kissing,” he whispered.

       “No,
we’re
going to be kissing.  I feel that I need a lot of instruction.”  Mark was ragging on Jon heavily.

“Mark, don't you dare put your tongue in her mouth!”

“Jon-ny,” Mark mocked teasingly, “Are you getting jealous?”

“I am not!  I just don't want any of them stirring her up.  It is extremely sexual, I've told you that!”  Jonathan was straining to keep his voice down.

“Calm down, Jon!  I promise I won't put my tongue in her mouth.  Only if she does it to me!”  Mark was pushing the joke to far and he knew it when he saw Jonathan's face.  “Jon, I'm just kidding.  I'd never do that.  I don't even know how to kiss.”  Then he got a laugh out of Jonathan when he said, “I have been practicing with a mirror though!”

“You idiot!  Get up there!” Jonathan laughed.

Jon watched as male after male learned the lip peck.  Until Melody said, “Jon, this isn't going to help.  They need to know how to give a decent kiss.”

“Well, then . . . teach them, they couldn't ask for a better teacher.”  Jonathan said what he knew the men would expect him to say, after all he was their leader here.

The men were all smiles then.

Melody had kissed Mark and several other's when suddenly Jon saw one put his arms around her too tightly.  He looked closer and thought that he saw Mel pushing a hand away from her breast.  They quickly disengaged.

Jonathan said loudly, “That's enough for one day, we'll continue tomorrow.  It's time for the baby to be fed right now.”

He hustled Melody out the door quickly.  When he was sure that they were out of hearing he turned her to face him.  “Did that man put his hand on your top?!”

She looked too red.  “I don't think he was trying to do that!  His nose was itching, that's all and my ta-ta’s are so large that his hand bumped it as he was trying to scratch it.”  She took his arm and walked them swiftly up to the house.

Melody finally spoke to break the silence, “Let's make sure David isn't giving the aunts a fit, and then if he's okay let's take a dip in the pool.”  He agreed but slowly.  She knew he was extremely upset.

“David's been the angel that he's always been, Melody,” Aunt Cassandra said as they looked in on him.

They went upstairs to put on their swimsuits.  Jonathan was still acting a little distant when Melody blurted, “Jon, you asked me to teach them!  That poor man had no idea he had done that, until it was too late.  You should have seen his face, it scared him to death.”

“Good!  Good, Good! I hope it scared the marrow out of his bones!  It's better it scared him than me beating him senseless.”

“Jon!  He thought it was a lark.  He didn't believe that kissing was exciting.  None of them did.”

“Well, they sure as doorbells know better now, don't they!” Jonathan yelled.

“I didn't mean for it to happen.  I'm sure he didn't.  They all saw it.  They all got scared looks on their faces!”  Melody suddenly burst into loud sobs.

Jonathan felt really ashamed for having upset her so.  It hadn't been her fault or even that poor man's.  Melody just had a sensuality about her that no man could anticipate until they kissed her, he finally realized.

He went to her and held her tight as he tried to send his feelings of remorse to her.  He never in his whole life wanted to cause her to cry or feel badly.  He didn't know what had come over him!

Her heartbroken tears stopped as she looked at his tormented face and felt his feelings.  “Jon, oh Jon, I know you love me and would never hurt me on purpose.  But, you have to realize that you do have a strong jealous streak.  I know that you don't really realize it.  But, that is jealousy.  You will have to learn to deal with it as best you can.  I in the mean time hope to never do anything that would make you feel uncomfortable again.”

“I know it is now.  I can understand why our people struggled so hard to abolish it.”  Jon looked sad.  “I will have to tell the men about it.  Perhaps it's occurring because you are from here and not from H'trae?”

“Now that makes sense.  Maybe you're right,” she answered with a surprised look on her face.

“My sweet precious dove, I'm so sorry.  Please forgive my outburst?”  Jonathan felt the forgiveness in her lips.

The next day Melody began the seminar as scheduled.  Jon sat in the back again.  Everyone was extremely excited and extra tense.

“As all of you saw yesterday kissing is not hard.  I feel confident that each of you will have no trouble.  And by the way, you are very good kissers.  You will slay the women on Earth with your kisses and mental powers as well.  So we'll leave that topic and go on to another.”  She scanned their faces, some were relieved and others were disappointed.

“Women that I have known, which are in the thousands, all have a preset idea of what they think would be their perfect mate.  Some of you may now be developing your own ideas.  No one's perfect.”  Then smiling she corrected, “Except for my wonderful Jonathan.”

They all laughed and turned to look at his smug smiling face.

“Try and get in tune with her emotions.”

Jonathan then blurted out as he started walking to the front on the class, “Men, her emotions will be topsy turvy, and you will have a struggle trying to make sense out of them.  I had to go by Melody's facial and body language more than her mind and true emotions.”
