Mel laughed along with Jon, knowing full well the truth of what he had said.

There wasn't a live band but there was lovely music played for the bride and groom to dance to coming from speakers.  After the dance the cake was cut.

Mark took his bride's hand as they walked up the stairs to his room with everyone bidding them joy and happiness.  Melody and Jon were bursting with happiness for their friends.

“Mel,” Jonathan said after they had seen all the guests leave and they were now getting ready for bed.

       “What, darling?”

“We need to discuss some things before we go to sleep,” Jon stated.

       “I know we need to
do
some things before we go to sleep,” she said as she slid her arms around his waist.

“Mmmm . . . yes, we surely do.  But, I seriously need to talk with you about Mark and Mary.”

Mel noted that he seemed to be considering a problem.  “What is it, my love?”  She sat on the bed with her slip on.  She decided to wait to get in the Jacuzzi to unwind.

       “I know that this is
your
house.”

       Melody quickly interrupted, “Our house!”

“All right, our house.  Mark is my First in Command as well as one of our bodyguards.  Because of this, he has to remain close to my family and me.  What do you think about them having the north wing?  He could stay where he is but also have a definite area of the house as his own.”

“I think that's a wonderful idea!  There's a smaller kitchen and dining room there that should serve their purposes, and they will have three guest rooms and a main salon.”  Then she looked worried, “But, is that enough for the man that's second in charge?”

“I can't have him live in another house because of his duties.  We can supply them with a cook, maid and butler, which should make them happy.  We all share access to the cars and drivers anyway.  I'll definitely have to increase his monthly allowance.  They'll need more than twice what he has now.  Mary will need to decorate the wing her way.  I'll set up a separate housing allowance for that, she'll be pleased.”

“Jon, you can give them some of my allowance, I have too much already,” Melody readily volunteered.

“I will not!  I'm thinking of increasing yours.  Now that you have the house finished, I want you to start doing some things for yourself.  You haven't even used the credit cards I've given you and I want you to not let them just be useless to you.  You never buy anything for yourself, unless I make you.  I want you to go on a shopping spree and get some new clothes, some that fit those huge ta-ta’s of yours.”  He rolled over and pulled down her bra-slip.  “They are beautiful.  I know why David smiles so big every time he sees them, he's a little man at heart.”

“Jon,” Melody was trying to pull his head away from what he was admiring.  “David said Mama tonight.”

“He did?  That doesn't surprise me.  If I could keep my head burrowed here as much as he does, I'd say Mama to.”

She knew that he wasn't going to be deterred from his quest, his eyes had turned dark blue again.  Now though, she didn't want to stop him.  His fingers and mouth were sending exotic signals throughout her body.

“Jon-ny, let's get in the Jacuzzi.”

“Not right now . . . please?” he asked looking up at her with hungry, lust filled eyes.  “I'm busy.  I want to do a little exploring.”  He slid one of his hands downward until he found what he wanted.  “There . . . isn't that better than an old Jacuzzi?”

“It's much . . . better,” Melody moaned in a throaty voice.  This drove his eyes to a rich violet.  Melody was always bewildered at how he could be so gentle and yet so forceful at the same time.

He suddenly stood and completely undressed.  She started to do the same but he carefully pushed her back down.  He removed her hose then finished pulling off her slip.  As he glided her panties down, he groaned lustfully.  He slid slowly up her body kissing, nibbling and touching as he went.  She felt his fingers trembling as they touched her lips.

He knew how to make her beg, but she was determined not to, tonight.  He loved knowing that he had that much power over her.  She wanted to make him beg, but he was making it almost impossible for her to do that right then.

She gathered all her will power and asked him to turn over on his back.  He did, but reluctantly.  She sat straddling his stomach and began to do to him what he had been doing to her, except that she started at his eyes and worked downward.  She was very pleased with herself when she saw the look of shock on his face.  She was being more aggressive than she had dared be before.

He began to beg before she had gotten to the place she had prepared herself for.  His whole body was trembling as she kissed and licked his firm stomach.  He constantly groped for her but she kept moving his hands away.

His pleading and begging became more demanding.  He finally grabbed her shoulders and pulled her up to him.  She still resisted being turned over and slowly, teasingly, lowered herself down on his body.  His entire body shuddered with pleasure.  Then he forcefully turned them over and he took control again.

“Jonny,” she crooned into his sweaty ear.

“What, my heart?” he replied with effort.

       “I want a little girl.”

“Not yet sweetheart.  I'll do anything . . . but that.  Now, look into my eyes and kiss me!”

They shared heavenly bless with one another once again.  Jon was speechless.  The last time they had felt such an explosion was the night David had been conceived, but there wasn't a baby included in this one.  He was still adamant about his feelings on that.

He held Melody close and reveled in the love that they shared.  He wondered what had made her ask for a daughter?  Well, he wasn't about to risk her life again!  They may never have another child, but he wouldn't tell her that.

CHAPTER NINE: DAVID GROWS UP

The next morning the nurse brought David in to be nursed.  He smiled his sweet baby smile and said, “Mama” again.  Jonathan lifted one satisfied sleepy eye to look at him.  When David saw that his dad was looking, he grinned letting milk run out of his mouth.  Jonathan smiled at his son thinking how precious his little family was to him.  He was really shocked when David pulled away from the breast and said, “Dada,” still grinning at his dad.

“Mel!  Mel!  Did you hear that?  He said, Dada!  I can't believe it!  He really said it.  He's a genius for sure!”

Melody just took it in stride, she already knew that their son was a genius, he had to be, Jonathan was his father, and his I.Q. was beyond measure.  Why he had wanted her was still a mystery.  She was of above average intelligence, but certainly not a candidate for Mensa.

“Ooww!” Melody suddenly screeched.  “You little devil, you suck it, not bite it!”  Melody looked at her reddened nipple.  David began to cry at the outburst.  “Ohhh, mama's little boy didn't know, did he?”  She soothed.  He immediately hushed as she comforted him.

“Mel, he understands!” Jonathan said as he jumped up from the bed, all excited over his son’s progress.

“Of course he understands, Jon.  Didn't you know that?”

“No . . . I'm ashamed to say that I didn't.  How long has he been progressing like this?”

“He's been understanding more and more of what I say to him all this week.  I'm going to have to wean him though and I don't want to, not yet.  He's still my little baby, even if he does look twice his age.”

“Mel, sweetheart, my beautiful soul-mate, he is over three times his calendar age.  And his maturity will become even more rapid once he turns six months old,” Jonathan stated.  Then he saw the sad look on Melody's face.

“Jon, I don't want to lose my baby!  He's just a baby!”

“Melody, he will always be your baby, but he will continue to mature as he's supposed to do.  I did!  Mark did.  We all did and so will he.”

Melody still looked sad as she asked, “Just how fast will he mature, Jonathan?”

“When his calendar age is four he will be twenty earth years old and he'll most likely start having some stirring's to find his own mate.”

“How can that be?  He has my genes in him too.”

“But sweetheart, your genes are becoming recessive to him.  I saw this in the lab just the other day.  Our genes become dominate once the child has reached a month old.  They just discovered it and they're thrilled, to say the least.  That's why once a week they give him a complete physical, to gather those findings.”

“Jon, why haven't you said anything to me about it?  Will he grow old just as fast?”  Melody asked with tears running down her cheeks.

“No, Baby.”  He cuddled up beside her.  “Once he is old enough to begin having moderate stirrings his aging will slow almost to a complete stop and will become more of what you are familiar with here.  It makes a radical change in his metabolism as well as those horny hormones that I love so much.”

“Are you telling me, that by the time he is four years old he may be married?!” Melody asked, completely drained of energy.

“Well . . . he might be, yes.  We should start looking for him a mate in three years or so.”

“Jon, how can he possibly assimilate and learn all the things that he must in that short period of time?  It's impossible!”

“No it isn't Mel.  He's already learning much more than he has the physical ability to show.  He's a little nursing sponge right now, it's normal.  That's how we all learn, plus, he has the best genes a male could wish to have to help him.  He's also blessed with the most beautiful, loving and caring mother in the known galaxies.”

Melody cried like her heart was broken.  Jonathan was at a loss as to what was really hurting her so he concentrated on the flow of her body, then traveled to her feelings and mind.

“Mel, I do not think that you're a worm!  You are not inferior to me!  You are the perfect complement to me.  I'm nothing without you!  God made us to be together, we both know that.”  He kissed and loved on her until she felt his feelings flow through to her.

He was being honest, he didn't look down on her, and if anything he considered her an equal, different, but an equal in another sense of the word.

She sniffed her tears dry and looked down into her son's little concerned face.  “It's all right David, Daddy was just letting me know how he felt.”  She watched as he went back to nursing, but he was careful not to bite again.

Jonathan and Melody sent food up to Mark and Mary.  They didn't come out of their room for three days.  When they did come down Mark's brown eyes had turned green.

Jonathan and Melody were out on the beach with David showing him sea shells and fiddler crabs.  Everything made him laugh as he reached his little hands out to touch whatever they were holding.  Mark came strolling out with his happy bride.  Both had on pullover sweaters, Mary was wearing a pretty skirt and belt that matched the sweater.

“Have you had lunch yet?” Melody asked.

“No . . . we haven't been too hungry,” Mark volunteered.

“Mark!  Old married and fully bonded friend of mine.  Let's go have a little talk?” Jonathan asked.  He saw his hesitancy in leaving Mary, “We'll let the girls talk.  I have a proposition for you that I'd like for us to discuss.”

Jonathan and Mark went wandering along the beach.

“Mary, is everything all right with you?” Mel asked looking concerned.  Mary had an odd look on her face and it bothered Melody.

Mary picked up David and motioned for the two of them to go back to the porch.

Once they were settled and Mel ordered iced coffees, Mary burst out crying.

“My goodness Mary!  What did he do to you?”

“Oh, Mel, he's the best lover a woman could ever dream of having.  It's just, I'm . . . .”

       “You're what, Mary!”

       “I'm pregnant!”  Mary cried harder.

Melody got upset thinking of how cruel a thing that was to do to Mary, without Mary's permission!  “Oh, Mary, I'm so sorry!”

Mary looked up at Melody with surprised eyes.  “Melody I'm not sorry, I'm just so happy.”  Then seeing the startled look of relief on Mel's face she started laughing.

“Are you telling me, that he did ask you, and you said that it was all right?”  Melody was starting to let the truth sink in.

       “Yes, Mel!  Isn't it wonderful?”

Mary was obviously very pleased.  Melody wondered just how much Mark had been willing to share with her.  It wasn't fair if he hadn't been totally truthful.

“Mary did he explain . . . .” Mel started to ask.  But Mary guessed where the question was leading.

“Yes he did Mel, and I don't care.  I love him with all my heart, green eyes and all.  If he feels that we need a little girl then that's just fine by me.”

Mary and Melody hugged and kissed one another as both cried sharing their joy for each other.  They knew the love that the other had for her mate and it was beyond description.  They were the only women on earth who knew that kind of love.

When they settled down Melody asked, “Mary, did he tell you about, uh, the
Island
?”

“Mel, you don't have to be coy with me.  Yes, he told me everything.  I'm just thankful he doesn't have pink bunny ears, because I'd still be madly in love with him.”

“I didn't find out until I almost lost David,” Melody said as she watched his little face listening to them.  “Believe me, I didn't care either.  I just would have wanted to have been told before we both almost died.”

“Mark told me all about it, but Mel, Jonathan was so afraid of losing you, he couldn't risk it.”  Mary apparently understood the situation from both sides.

“Oh, I know it now, but, at the time it was pretty unsettling.  All I cared about was making sure that David would be born without problems.”

Mary laughed.  “Mark gets a green tint to him each time he talks about it.  But, he insists that he's going to be holding my hand throughout the whole thing.”

Mel, laughed at the thought of Mark still turning green.  “At least you won't have long to wait.  Five months will pass before you know it.  I tried to talk Jon into us having a little girl last night, but he won't do it.  I know why though, he's afraid I might not make it next time.  But, they learned from me having David.  They promised it would never happen again.”

“I hope they're as good with their promises as they are at making men,” Mary giggled.

Melody felt a tug at her leg, looking down she saw that David was pulling on her trying to stand.  “Mary!  David's standing!”

Jonathan and Mark were walking toward them when they both saw David.  Jonathan broke into a run.  “Mel!  Mel!  David's standing!”

“So?  He told me he plans on swimming today as well.”

“He did?” Jonathan smiled, seeing her playful eyes.  “If we put him in the water, I know he will!” Jonathan added enthusiastically.  “We'll do that this evening.”  He picked up his son and grinned at Mark.  “Well, five more months Mark.  Then you'll know the joys of parenthood.”

Mark grinned in return, “What do you mean in five months?  Our little girl is already batting her feminine little eye lashes.  I feel like a Daddy already.”  He kissed his Mary and sat beside her looking completely like the devoted husband and father that he now was.

“Our little girl will drive your little boy batty with Stirrings Jon, just you wait and see,” Mark smiled knowingly.

Melody and Jonathan looked at each other at the same time.  “That would be perfect!” Jonathan exclaimed.  “Mel and I were discussing this morning that we would be needing to start looking for a mate for him, in a few years.  Not that he will listen to us, he can't, but at least we could have some of the better females around him as a kind of encouragement.”

“Wouldn't that be something?” Mary thought out loud.

“Would the second married couple like to have supper with the first married couple tonight?” Mel asked.

“We'd love to,” Mark said enthused.  “Mary,” he looked over at his bride, “Jonathan and Mel have made us a very gracious offer I'd like to talk to you about.”

“Sure darling, I need to go change anyway, this sweater is a little too warm out here after all,” Mary said, then they left.
