It just felt so good. He fell into a kind of trance as she worked. Each methodical stroke along his skin making him feel more at peace. For the first time in a very long time, Dylan felt good. It was almost like Aurora was cleansing more than just his skin.

There was just something about her. Something about the way she looked at him. It made him feel a swelling sense of optimism, like he truly had a chance at redemption.

Aurora was one of the most amazing people Dylan had ever met. If she could see the good in him, maybe, just maybe, it was possible that some good actually existed inside him.

He couldn’t see it. That was for sure. But she saw it. And Dylan could see it reflected in her eyes.

If she loved him, then he must not be a complete piece of shit. Maybe there was some shred of goodness and decency within him after all.

Standing there in his bathroom with Aurora washing him was one of the single most intense experiences of his entire life. He could feel something changing inside him. All the terrible voices screaming in his head seemed to quiet down.

Ironically enough, she made
him
feel safe.

If there had been any doubt, in that moment, Dylan was absolutely sure that he loved Aurora. He loved her more than anything or anyone he’d ever loved before. And he was sure about something else.

He could never send her away. He couldn’t bear to be apart from her again. Not for four years. Not for four seconds. Aurora was the best thing to ever happen to him and he’d be damned if he ever let her go.

He grabbed her hand in his, stopping the movement of the washcloth. She looked up at him surprised.

“What’s wrong?” she asked.

“Nothing,” he said, a slight smile tilting the corners of his mouth.

She cocked her head at him, confused. “I don’t understand.”

“Nothing is wrong. For the first time in so long, the whole world doesn’t feel wrong to me. Everything feels just right.”

She smiled a confused smile at him. “Well, that’s good, right?”

“That’s very good. And I have you to thank.”

She locked her eyes with his, searching for some hint of what he was talking about. Those gorgeous eyes that he couldn’t get enough of. And those full red lips that were just meant for kissing. Dylan couldn’t hold back a second longer.

“I love you, Aurora. I’ve always loved you.”

He covered her lips with his, kissing her with a crackling desire.

Then he pulled back, looking down to gauge her reaction. She still looked shocked at the change in his demeanor, but it was a good shock. She couldn’t know how much better she’d made him feel, and he didn’t have the words to explain it.

Good thing this wasn’t the time for words. He leaned down and kissed her again.

Rory’s breath caught in her throat at the passion in Dylan’s lips. The moment they’d shared earlier in Dylan’s bedroom was nothing compared to this.

Dylan attacked her with an intensity that reminded her of his ferocity in the woods earlier. Only this time she wasn’t afraid of him.

Liquid heat rushed through her veins as his tongue parted her eager lips. There was a certain thrill knowing that she could make Dylan feel this kind of passion, especially after he’d seemed to fight so hard against admitting how he felt about her.

Despite his reluctance, Dylan had just told her he loved her. It was something Rory had been almost sure of, but almost wasn’t good enough. Now she was certain, and that certainty filled her with a warm glow. Of course, the warmth fluttering inside her core could have something to do with the way Dylan’s skilled hands touched her body.

His hands trailed down her spine, sending chills throughout her entire being. For such a strong man, he had a delicate touch when he needed to. His fingertips lightly grazed her flesh through her shirt, stoking the heat building between her legs.

She ran her own hands over Dylan’s naked body, savoring the hard lines of his muscles. The man looked a Greek god carved out of marble by the hands of a master sculptor.

But now her Greek god had come to life and was exploring her body with his talented hands. He cupped her breasts, kneading them gently. His thumbs circled over the hardening points of her nipples, sending jolts of pleasure throughout her entire body.

He pressed his hips forward, and she felt him, hard and thick and aching for her. She moaned at the sensation.

Earlier in the day when they had gotten close, Dylan had held back when she’d wanted to touch him. Dylan wasn’t holding back now. Whatever walls he had put up, whatever restraints he’d placed upon his passion, they had evaporated in the heat of all the craziness tonight.

She reached down and ran her hand over the length of his thick erection. It felt impossibly hot and hard in her hand. The fact that she was the one causing this reaction was an amazing feeling.

Dylan groaned as she stroked him. The sound was low and husky in his throat, almost like a growl. She wondered if she was bringing out the inner bear in him. There was no doubt he was going at her with a certain savage desire. The intensity of it was almost too much to handle.

Dylan grabbed her by the hips and lifted her onto the sink, never breaking away from kissing her. His hands unfastened the buttons of her blouse, before opening her shirt.
She reached behind her and unfastened her bra, revealing herself to him.

He gazed down at her exposed flesh.

“You are so beautiful, Aurora,” he said. “I need more of you. I need all of you.”

The sound of his voice sent a shiver through her. He was so masculine and dominant, everything she’d ever wanted in a man. Everything she knew he would be.

He leaned his head down to take her hard nipple in his mouth. He swirled his tongue around in maddening spirals, and she moaned at the sensation. He moved his mouth to her other breast, repeating the process until she was squirming and panting.

His hands unfastened the buttons of her jeans. Making quick work of them before he yanked them down her legs. She wasn’t wearing anything underneath. Dylan’s confident hand quickly found her center, stroking her with just the right amount of pressure to make her insides melt.

All the feelings pulsing through her body overwhelmed her. Dylan seemed to be everywhere at once, awakening a symphony of pleasure inside her like nothing she’d ever felt before. He had her moaning and panting and squirming and ready to burst.

His finger plunged into her velvety depths while his thumb made small little circles around her clit. It was all too much for her. All of the frustrated desire she’d been feeling throughout the day was coming to a head. The tidal wave inside her built to massive heights.

And then it crashed over her.

Wave after wave of ecstasy washed over her limbs. She couldn’t think or breathe. Her body was so tense she couldn’t even make a sound. Her mouth opened, working silently, but the moans of pleasure stuck in her throat.

She collapsed forward against Dylan’s broad chest. She fought to catch her breath while Dylan stroked her back lightly. Even that subtle touch was too much for her already sensitive body. She needed a moment to recover.

She knew just how to do that.

She reached down with both hands and grasped Dylan’s length. He inhaled sharply at her touch. Looking down at her, she saw a slight smile on his lips. It was a new expression on his face, one she wasn’t used to anymore.

It was good to see him excited. It spurred her on, giving her hope she could break down his walls completely.

He leaned his head into the crook of her neck, trailing kisses along her sensitive skin while she caressed him. It was sweet and gentle, in stark contrast to the way Dylan had been behaving all night. She liked that he had this tender side to him. She loved that he was a strong, dominant man, but it was important to her that he was capable of treating her gently. It made her feel like they could have more than just a wild night together. They could have a future.

At the same time, the other side of Dylan, the primal and ferocious side of him, was what really excited her. She wanted to bring out that powerful, dominating side to him. Now was not the time for gentle.

She whispered into his ear as she stroked him. “Dylan,” she whispered. “My strong, powerful bear. I want you so badly. No more holding back. No more hesitation. I’ve waited so long to be together with you like this. I don’t want to wait anymore.”

“Are you sure?” Dylan asked.

She gave his cock a gentle squeeze, causing him to groan. “Does that seem like I’m sure?”

Dylan give a low, throaty chuckle. “Absolutely.”

Still, he seemed to hesitate.

“What’s wrong? Don’t you want me?”

Dylan looked hard into her eyes. “I want you more than I’ve ever wanted anything before.”

“Then take me,” she said, repeating the invitation she’d already given him.

Dylan’s eyes blazed with passion and he smothered her mouth with a kiss. His hips pushed forward and she feel his hardness probing into the sweet spot between her legs. It was just a light brush, the slightest bit of pressure. But it was enough to send her heart galloping in her chest.

“Let’s take this to the bedroom,” he said.

With that, he lifted her in his strong arms. She melted against his strong chest, feeling like she fit perfectly in his embrace.

She looked up into Dylan’s eyes and saw ferocity there. It was the look of the powerful man she’d been aching for all these years.

Seeing that look was both scary and thrilling. She was thrilled to know the man she loved was back, but now that he was, she was scared that she wouldn’t be able to handle Dylan at his most passionate.

She’d wanted to awaken the beast inside him, now she had. The question now was whether she could handle it.

Chapter 8

Dylan laid Rory down on the bed and pressed his body over hers. The feeling of his warm skin against hers filled her with longing. The anxious feeling in her stomach fled, replaced with sharp anticipation of what was about to come.

Rory had never been with a man. After falling in love with Dylan all those years ago, no other man had ever measured up. No other man had ever filled her with that intense desire she knew was possible with the right person.

She was feeling that desire right then. It was a welcome reminder she’d been right not to settle for any old guy who came along and showed interest. Dylan was the man she loved and the man she was always meant to be with.

Now that the moment was here, Rory couldn’t believe it.

Their bodies intertwined, almost as if they were meant to fit together perfectly. She felt his hard length pressing against her thigh. It was hot and hard. Her body responded to the feeling of it. She felt a hollow ache inside her core, desperate to be filled.

Dylan’s hand slid up her leg to cup her intimately. A low moan escaped her throat. She was unable to hold back.

Dylan’s low rumbling voice sounded like a love song in her ear. “I love the way you sound when I touch you. It drives me absolutely crazy.”

“I can’t help it,” she said shyly. “I can’t control myself.”

“That’s perfect. You can lose control all you want when you’re with me. I’m in control now. You’re all mine, and that means I’ll take care of you just right.”

Rory’s insides clenched deliciously. This was what she’d been aching for desperately. A man strong enough and dominant enough to take total control over her body. Dylan was that man.

He slid two fingers inside her, dipping into her wetness. Her hips bucked beneath him, seeming to move with a mind of their own. There was nothing she could do. Dylan knew just how to get her engine revving with just the slightest movement.

If he was this good with his hands, she could only wonder how good he would be with the rest of his body.

Her legs trembled on either side of his hand, wordlessly telling him how good he made her feel. It was also an invitation for more.

“Please,” she moaned. “Dylan, I need to feel you. All of you.”

“Soon,” Dylan whispered, in her ear. His hot breath tickling her neck. “I’m in control now. Trust me and relax, and you’ll enjoy every second.”
