My Hustler’s Keeper (7 page)

“I will, I promise you that.”

The day of my release Stephanie comes to pick me up. Upon getting into her Honda, I explain the visit I had with Joe.

“So he’s going to start a fight with her, then you’re going to come in and kill her?” she asks, starting up the car.

“That’s the plan.”

“So where do I come in at?”

“I’m not sure Stephanie.”

“We just have to pray this don’t back fire.”

“That I know.”

The night of Harmony’s fifteenth birthday, the plan for Keisha’s death went into full effect. I watched as Keisha yelled at Joe. And when I saw his jaw clench, I knew it was time. I pulled the gun out of my jacket and pulled the trigger, putting two shots into her chest. Keisha was gone and never coming back. Joe called Stephanie and made her take her body to Frankie so that he could trash it.

Well, that was the plan. I never knew whether she did it or not, seeing how close she and Keisha had got. And to be honest, I didn’t care. I now had the best of both worlds. I was about to marry Harmony as soon as she turned twenty-eight. I still had Joe by my side, and Stephanie too for that matter.

Loyalty gets you a long way in life. I did everything I had to do for this man. Yet, I’m starting to think it wasn’t good enough.

At one point I considered myself to be on top of the world, and the luckiest girl to ever walk the face of this earth. I had played my cards right when it came to Joe. I took the time for him, and I even killed his wife for him. I did everything to make Joe happy. But it is now time for me to finally have my happily ever after.

I never picture that this life I have worked so hard for would be ruined; thrown away like spoiled milk, and washed away like water touching the sand all because of one person—Sincere Knight.

That nigga just couldn’t keep his dick in his pants long enough for me to get my happily ever after that I deserve. He has to go.

I just have to get more proof of him and Harmony being together. And when I do his ass is history and she will finally be mine. Or just like her mother she is going to die. Because if I can’t have her then that means I can’t have Joe, and I am not going to lose either of them, especially not to Sincere.

“Malik,” I speak to my brother. Coming out of my thoughts.

“Is Joe mad at me?” he asks, looking into my eyes with a worried look.

“Why would you ask that?”

“I saw the way he looked at me. I’m not trying to die.”

“You’re not going to die Malik. Joe is happy with what you did and he told me to tell you that you will be rewarded,” I lied to my brother.

“Do he need to get more evidence?”

“Yes. But he wants you to do something else.”

“What?”

“He wants you to kill Sincere. But don’t worry, I’ll help you.”

Without speaking another word Malik starts up his car and drives away.

HARMONY

After watching Terry’s brains get blown out, I go to work as if it is a normal day. For the ones who skipped past the introduction in the beginning and don’t know what I do for a living, let me fill you in. I work for the Federal Bureau of Investigations. I have been working here for three years and counting.

Joe made sure that I followed in my mother’s footsteps by working for the Government. Same job and company, and little does he know, I’m going to follow in her footsteps by taking down his whole operation as well. I just have to get my loved ones out of his reach first.

“Ms. Jones, are you okay?” Jonny, the mail boy, asks, interrupting my thoughts.

“Yes I’m fine.”

“Good answer. I wouldn’t like for you to come to work stressed, messing up cases,” he says, laughing as he hands me the mail.

“I wouldn’t like that either.”

“Robert would like to see you in the main office in five.”

“I’ll be there in four,” I tell him, getting up from my desk.

“That’s the energy I’m looking for,” he says to me, before carrying on with his deliveries.

“Right about now I need a lot of energy,” I utter.

Walking inside of the main office, I notice pictures of Sincere and Daniel on the bulletin board followed by five pictures of drug dealers who all had come up dead within the past two months.

My eyes follow the mug shot of Sincere and the pieces of paper they have by his name as I try to keep my composure. Then reality kicks in like a bad cramp. If they nail this case, I will be going down as well, not to mention facing the most time.

“I see you’re taking a look at our new case,” Robert says, startling me.

“Yeah, I’m trying to play catch up,” I lied.

I stare as his blue eyes look into mine as if he can read my mind, knowing that my lies were trying to cover up the truth.

“No need to. I’m about to present it now,” he tells me, pulling out his notebook. “You can have a seat this will only take a brief moment.”

“Thanks,” I say, pulling up the chair next to him and Stephanie.

“Now that we have everyone that I feel can help to crack this case, I’d like for the team to meet Sincere Knight and Daniel Johnson, two of the most notorious hustlers walking the streets of Chicago.” He pauses, waiting to see if anyone is going to ask a question before he continues.

“Sincere, who I can tell is the ring leader of this whole operation, we need to take down first. Not only is he street smart but he’s book smart as well. He attended NYU and graduated top five of his class, walking out with a master’s degree in business. Teachers say he’s one of the best students they’ve ever had.” He pauses again before continuing.

“Now as I began to dig into Sincere’s family history, I learned that his parents are the infamous Sincere Sr. and Rayla Knight, better known as the new Bonnie and Clyde of our time. They vanished into thin air years ago, leaving him and his sister Rayla to be raised by Rayla’s mother Shine.”

Damn, Sincere, he knows more about you than I do. This is a big problem
, I think to myself.

“Next you have Daniel Johnson, who was taken from his mother at birth and sent to live with his Auntie Kelly in Atlanta. He ran away from home at sixteen and moved to the Big Apple after her boyfriend Fred came up dead. From what I am told the case went cold due to lack of evidence. I didn’t get the same feedback from the teachers and stuff like I did with Sincere, but he’s in the same boat. I also learned that him and Sincere met while entering college and from what I am told have been like brothers ever since and—.”

“So what information are you throwing at us that we don’t already know?” I ask, breaking his speech.

“After college they never had a job but managed to stay driving the newest rides and live in the most expensive homes in Chicago. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to tell they’re pushing or selling drugs.”

“But didn’t you just say Sincere’s parents were the infamous Bonnie and Clyde of Chicago?” Stephanie voices, taking my words from my mouth.

“I mean I understand that Sincere was born into money. He might have helped Daniel come up but I highly doubt it,” Robert says, finishing his sentence.

“These two are the ones we’ve been looking for. I can feel it.”

“And what if they’re not selling or pushing drugs? Have you ever considered after college he didn’t have to work because of who his parents were?” My voice rose from my throat.

“That’s why I believe he’s selling, because of who his parents were. If anyone knows them and found out Sincere was their child, it wouldn’t be hard for him to get fronted some work.”

“Again, how do you know they’re selling or moving anything?” I ask.

“Trust me, I know. I’ve been following them for several months and I feel I can bring them down by the end of the year.”

“With what evidence? This shit ain’t going to stick in court with just your feeling Robert!” I yell out, as I stand up. “I’m not about to waste my time on your gut feeling.”

“Like I said Harmony, I’ve been following them.”

“Harmony, Robert, Stephanie! It’s a raid going into effect in forty minutes and we need you down there for backup,” Captain Jefferson interrupts and tells us.

“But Captain, I was just going over the new case,” Robert says, holding up his files.

“This case can wait. I want you down at Park Side on Chicago and Division now!” he yells out, closing the doors.

“You heard him. This case can wait, but the raid can’t.”

I smile on the inside because this will give me enough time to make Robert’s files
disappear
.

“When we finish this raid I’d like for you to meet me back in my office Harmony,” he tells me, grabbing his gun and badge.

“If it’s about this case I’m not coming.”

“I would have loved for you to help me put these low lives behind bars but I will crack this case myself if you’re not down with it,” he states to me before leaving the room with Stephanie following close behind.

“Yeah, I’d like to see you try,” I mumble as I grab my things to join them.

** ** **

“One, two, three,” Robert whispers, letting us know to enter the house with force.

“Freeze! FBI! Get on the motherfucking floor or die!” he yells, shoving and pushing everyone in his sight.

“Jones, go check the back.”

“Will do,” I reply.

Stepping into the back area of the house, I find three males escaping out the window.

“FBI! Freeze!” I yell out, but it is too late. The last one is already making his way towards a black vehicle.

“Aw, you want me to chase you, huh?” I yell, going after him.

Pop, pop!
I fire two shots in his direction.

“Harmony, stop ma,” I hear the male say, as he stops in the middle of the chase.

“It’s me, Sincere,” he says, turning around.

“Sincere,” I drop my gun from aiming at him. “What the hell is going on?” I question him.

“You tell me. You’re the one that’s shooting at me,” he says, moving closer towards me.

“Daniel and Henry are waiting for me in the black car across the street.” He points.

“Get out of here Sincere before they come. I’ll say I slipped during the chase and couldn’t keep up,” I explain.

“Meet me at my house as soon as you can,” he demands.

“Okay.”

“I love you ma,” he says, kissing the sweat from my lips.

“I love you too. Now get the hell out of here,” I tell him.

He gives me another deep kiss and then run towards the car, opens the door, and jumps inside. I watch as he jumps in the car with Daniel and Henry then speeds off.

“What the hell Harmony?! How did you let them get away?” Robert yells, as I turn around.

“I lost them.”

“You’re a fucking girl. You could have charmed them with your looks. How did you let me get away?” he yells while I continue to walk away. I have to get to Sincere.

“And you’re a nigga. You should have been chasing them. Not me. I lost them Robert. What’s the big deal?”

“You didn’t lose them. You let them go.”

“What?!” I yell out, placing my gun into his face. “You’re judging my call?” I ask, with spit growling from my mouth.

“Yes I am.”

“Bitch!” I yell, kneeing him in his balls.

“Harmony let him go.” Captain Jefferson says.

“I’ll kill you.”

“No, you won’t Harmony. Not today anyways. Let him go,” Captain Jefferson, jumps in between us and says.

“I’ll kill you.” I wasn’t letting go.

“Get off him now!” Captain Jefferson yells out at me. He then shoves me to the ground and helps Robert up.

“You’re suspended. Give me your badge and gun now,” he demands.

“Suspended?! For how long?” I ask.

“Until the Sincere and Daniel case is closed. I have a gut feeling they were the ones that got away.”

“But sir, that has nothing to do with me. They outran me. What was I supposed to do?”

“Three guys outran you. Harmony, I find that hard to believe. You’re the fastest runner in my unit. Now give me your badge and gun,” he demands again.

“You’re going to regret this sir,” I tell him, as I remove my badge and hand him that along with my gun.

“This team needs me more than I’ll ever need them,” I remind him before walking away and calling Sincere.

“Yeah ma,” he says, picking up on the third ring.

“You good? “I ask, getting into my car.

“Yup,” he replies back.

“I’m on my way,” I inform him, as I begin to start up my engine and speed off.

“A’ight, you know where I’m at. Love you.” He makes a kissing sound into the phone before hanging up.

HARMONY

“What the fuck happened today?” I ask, entering the house.

“Shit, I am waiting on you to answer that for me,” he says, pulling me into his arms and kissing me long and hard.

“How did the FBI know about this drop?” he asks, departing from our kiss.

“We got an anonymous tip,” I tell him, resting in his embrace. “And I got suspended.”

“Again?”

“Shit, that ain’t the sad part. Robert from my unit is on y’all ass like butter on toast.”

“A’ight, just destroy all the evidence,” he says, making it sound so easy.

“Didn’t you just hear me say I got suspended?”

“We’re fucked.”

“Fuck!” I spit, as I kick into the air.

“Calm down ma. I got you.”

“Everything is going so wrong. Now if I lose my job. I’ll really have to marry Mary. I can’t do this Sincere. I’ll die before I let Joe continue to control me.”

“Over my dead body. Look ma, I am not fond of making promises. But I can promise you that shit will never happen,” he says, pulling deeper into his embrace and locking his arms around me.

“How do you know that Sincere?”

“Cause I am meant for you. And they can’t fuck up God’s creation. It’s already written in the book baby,” he says, kissing me and placing my body on the wall.

“You know I love you right?” He gives me a questionable look.

“Yes, I know.”

“You trust me, right?”

“If I didn’t trust you I wouldn’t be here by your side.”

“That’s all I need to hear.”

He grins while wrapping my legs around him. Lifting my shirt up he begins to bite on my caramel nipples.

“Sincere,” I moan.

He responds back by pulling my panties to the side and sliding two of his fingers inside my pussy. Biting on his shoulder to keep from waking the dead, that watery sensation I am waiting for drips down as if a flood is taking place between my legs. I stare at him as he puts his fingers into his mouth and starts to taste the delicious treat I’d left on his fingers, making me wet all over again.

“I’m ready to be a mother Sincere,” I say to him, informing him that I am ready to turn our dreams of becoming parents into a reality.

“Let’s work on them twins I’ve always wanted.” He smiles.

Giving me his lips, he lifts my body off the wall and then starts walking into our master bedroom and laying my body down. I watch him hungrily as he strips out of his clothing and positions his body on top of me.

I dig my freshly painted manicure into his shoulders as he slowly enters my moist opening, causing me to scream out in pleasure. Sucking on his neck, I feel my body temperature rise.

“You’re driving me crazy Harmony,” he whispers into my ear.

“Sing to me,” is the only answer I gave back while gripping his dick with my pussy muscles, causing his body to tremble and shake a bit.

I wanna tease you, I wanna please you, I wanna show you, baby, that I need you. I want your body, ‘til the very last drop; I want you to holler, when you want me to stop. And who can love you like me
?” he sings Keith Sweat’s “Nobody” which has me getting wetter the more he sings.

“Nobody,” I cry out.

I love it when he sings to me while making love. He has a voice that would put R. Kelly to shame.

“Damn ma, I love when you moan out my name. Let me know that this pussy is mines and only mines. Moan for me. Moan for daddy,” he whispers as he begins to hit deeper into my soul. I try not to moan as I feel another climax taking place.

“Its okay ma. Let it all out. Let it all out,” he says, grinding more and more into my soul.

“Go deeper,” I cry out while grinding under him, loving the feeling he is giving my body.

“Oooooooo myyyy Goddddddd, Sincere, you’re driving me crazy!” I shout out in pleasure, while wrapping my legs around him tighter.

Feeling his pace weaken, I know he is about to bust. I begin to squeeze tighter. Seconds later I feel him shake then release what are hopefully our twins inside me.

“I love you,” I whisper into his ear.

“I love you more,” he says, placing me on top.

Sweet lady, would you be my, sweet love for a lifetime? I'll be there when you need me. Just call and receive me
,” he starts singing “Sweet Lady” by Tyrese.

“Now you know this is my all-time favorite fuck me song,” I smile as he positions me to straddle his face.

“Well, I guess we’ll be going another round,” he says, gripping my hips.

“No, no, daddy. I want to taste too.” I wink at him as I begin to put my body into a 69 position. Licking my lips, I can’t wait to suck the skin from his dick.
