“I’m sorry to interrupt again, but it’s the same supplier he wants to talk to you again.” Daniel held out the phone again, but as I took it I could swear I heard Lukas growl.

“I’m sorry Lukas, but…”

He stopped me “I know you’re busy.” He walked passed and left. Daniel closed the door behind me and I was left engulfed in Lukas’ scent.

All Mine

The winter months were long and tedious, the only thing that made the time go by was all the great attention the bar got. I had just finished an interview for the newspaper about the wine culture in Montréal, when I was supposed to meet the girls for lunch.

Roxi, Kaci and I sat down at this awesome luncheonette that had just opened.

“So how did the interview go?” Kaci asked and I shrugged with a mouthful of salad.

“Really?! That good?” She grimaced.

“It went great.” I swallowed my food quickly to answer her.

“You? How’s the cupcake business going lately?” I asked only because I knew how successfully it was. She always tried to be modest, but I loved making her talk about something she worked so hard at.

“I’m thinking about opening a second store.” She hesitated, waiting for our reply.

“That’s fucken awesome!” Roxi cried out.

“Seriously Kaci, you should do it. At least built one next to the bar so I could stop by and get one every day. Free of charge of course.” I smirked.

“I don’t get wine for free!” She joked.

“Bitch, not my fault, alcohol cost more.” I laughed.

“You listen here!” Roxi pointed at me “I’m never paying my tab and you better know that!” Thank god, the old Roxi had grown up a bit and her drinking days had slowed down. Not to say anything, but that girl can drink anyone under the table and still be functional. I lifted my Iphone and took a picture of her.

“What was that for?” She asked.

“That’s for the Not Welcomed Here poster I’m going to put up in the bar.” I shrugged and Kaci laughed.

We joked around until we got dessert. Hmm ‘pot au chocolat’. Who could resist chocolate that has been melted with cream and baked in a slow oven and served with a bit of fleur de sel? Not me, that’s who. I dove into it with my spoon, the soft velvety chocolate easily got scooped up. I was about to enjoy my bite, when Roxi asked the faithful post break up date question. “When the hell are you going to start to date?” I forced the spoon into my mouth, now needing the chocolate as a Band-Aid. I let the chocolate melt in my mouth before I attempted to speak.

“I am dating.” I smiled

“WHAT?!” Both Kaci and Roxi screamed.

I looked around the store to see the patrons gawking at us, like we had a tentacles spouting out of us. I waved slowly at them as they went back to their meal.

“When?” Roxi asked, moving forward in her sit.

“Who?” Kaci asked. Both dropping their fork on their plate.

I scooped up another bite.

“Bitch! You better answer us before you eat that cause I’m about to have an aneurism!” Roxi threatened.

“How the hell do you want me to date, when I’m at the freaken bar every day?” I challenged.

“Seriously?” Roxi’s eyes nearly bugged out.

“She has to be fucken kidding me?” She pointed at me, but was talking to Kaci.

“The fucken bar is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.” Kaci picked up her fork again and shook her head.

“I knew you wouldn’t bother dating.” Kaci said so knowingly, that it almost made me pissed.

“I’m glad you know me so well.” I snapped.

“Lexi, you’re still in love with Lukas. Do you honestly think that you’re going to just pick up and date anyone now?” She tested me.

I knew she wanted to hear it, to hear me say that Lukas was the man I still loved, but I wasn’t going to give away my feelings that easily to anyone anymore.

“Did I love Lukas yes, but my life is about what I’m doing now. Speaking of men, how about Erik? It’s been awhile since we heard anything about him.” I shot back.

Both Roxi and I weren’t going to let on that we knew she was dating him. She was scared to death to date anyone. She never thought of herself worthy of any mans love but the girl was.

“Well?” I kept pushing.

“He’s moving here.” She said quietly.

“Shut up!” I cried out.

“He’s moving here for you?” I smiled.

“Kaci that’s great. Can we now meet him officially as your boyfriend? Cause this back and forth, not knowing what was going on with you two was getting on our nerves.” Roxi admitted.

“When he comes back.” She tapped on the top of her crème brûlée.

We finished catching up and paid our bills, winter was coming to an end, thank god. So we were able to walk around the Old Port a bit before heading out our separate ways. The sun was at a perfect height as it hit the tall buildings, which made up the landscape of Montréal.

“It’s a gorgeous day.” I said as I looked up. That’s when I saw him walking down the street with a girl behind him. She had the same awestruck look that I did when I was with him. Fuck. All the blood in my body drained quickly, my heart was beating so loudly, that I could scarcely hear the girls behind me. I felt my body grow cold. Lukas was here in Montréal with someone else. I fell back almost falling over when Roxi caught me.

“What’s wrong?” She cried out in a panic.

“Shit!” Kaci grabbed hold of me. They both helped me up but the blood rushed down my body, making me even dizzier. All I remember was Kaci crying out me name.

The heavy murmured beats of a song had slowly awoken me up from my haze. Fuck! I can’t believe I fainted. I rose up slowly putting my hands on my eyes. The light was a bit too bright, my head was still spinning and my body shook. I felt the cool satiny sheets across my chest as my knees pressed against them. That’s when I realized, I wasn’t home or at a hospital. I finally opened my eyes and saw that I was in Lukas’ room. What the hell was I doing here?

Soft music was playing in the back ground as I was left alone in his room. I took his sheets off me and quietly tried to get up, hoping not to get noticed. I wanted out of here, like yesterday. I still felt faint, but I mustered up my strength and made my way across his room to the doorway. When I saw the coast was clear, I headed downstairs.

I tiptoed downs the stairs, hoping to god Lukas wasn’t anywhere near the entryway. I looked around and didn’t see him. I stealthily made my way across to the hallway. I was pretty proud of myself, until I realized something as I stood in front of his elevator.

“Fuck!” I murmured quietly to myself.

“You’ll need the access key to leave.” I heard over my shoulder.

I slowly turned and saw Lukas with his arms crossed leaning against the hallway. I was so close. Damn access key!

“Yeah, sorry.” I began scratching the back of my head. I was kind of embarrassed that he caught me trying to sneak away, but being here was my kryptonite.

He pushed himself off the wall and walked into his penthouse. I begrudgingly followed him, making sure there was enough distance between us.

“So does this count as the second time you’re running out on me?” I see that the angry Suit was alive and well.

“Why am I here?” I asked trying to avoid his previous question.

“Why wouldn’t you be?” He asked throwing the ball back into my court.

“Tell me how I got here?” I fired back. He narrowed his eyes.

“You fainted.” He noted.

“Yes thank you for informing me, but I already knew that.” I still felt dizzy and slowly found a wall to lean on.

Lukas never once took his eyes off me. He watched me closely.

“What is it?” I asked. I hated that look, like as if I did something wrong. It was as though I was some child and that I was going to be scolded at.

“I heard Kaci call out your name, that’s when I saw you on the ground.” He said grimly.

“So… you’re mad at me for fainting?” I asked in disbelief.

“I’m angry for a lot of reasons Alexia and yes, I’m angry you fainted.” He snapped.

“It’s good to know.” I nodded my head mocking him.

“Well if we’re done with this little tête à tête, then I can thank you and make my merry way home.” I faked smiled and started to make my way back to the elevator.

“Alexia!” Lukas barked.

“What?” I cried out.

“You just fainted, you’re not going anywhere!” I watched as Lukas encroached on my space and completely overwhelming me as he picked me up and carried me to his couch in the living room.

The song All Mine from Portishead began to play. I had introduced them to him and he’s loved them ever since.

“Lukas Blakk, I swear to god, I want to leave here and nothing is going to stop me.” I snarled, upset that he still affected me. I wanted out so badly. Why couldn’t he understand that? He was with someone else now. So why torture me this way?

“Why did you faint?” He asked still holding me down on the couch.

“I don’t know.” I gritted my teeth knowing full well, as the image of him with another began replaying in my mind.

His breathing became erratic as he stood up and began pacing around the room. “Why can’t you take care of yourself? Why must you make me worry about you every damn day?” He shouted.

“Make you worry? Oh please Lukas, you haven’t thought of me since the day you left my condo. So don’t give me this bullshit.” I stood up from the couch.

“Haven’t thought of you since I left?” He said incredulously. “Are you in your right mind? All I have ever done these past months was only think of you!” He yelled. “Don’t you understand? I watched you from afar, waiting until it was the right moment. Until I could try to rebuilt what we lost. I wanted you to rebuild the wings I promised I wouldn’t break, but…god, Alexia I missed you so fucken much.” He began pounding on his chest.

“Lukas?” I said meekly. I was at a loss for words.

“I missed you every damn fucken day that passed. I watched you build your bar. The look on your face was worth all the pain I felt just to see you so proud of yourself. Fuck Alexia, I even moved here. I will never ask you to choose. This life that you have built for yourself, can I now please be a part of it? Please tell me you found what you wanted because I can’t anymore. I can’t be away from you. Not anymore. Not ever again.” He moved so quickly that I scarcely saw him as he grabbed me and held me close. He lowered his head to mine and waited.

“Alexia?” He said quietly.

For the first time in almost a year, I felt my body relax and ease up. He lowered his face and our noses barely touched. Lukas’ lips found mine and instantly the world around me blurred. His soft lips melted away all the pain and hurt I had inside me.

Tears began to flow as Lukas deepened his kiss. He stopped and kissed away my tears. He looked into my eyes, not one word was uttered between us as he lifted me up and carried me back upstairs. I lay my head onto his chest hearing the sounds of his beating heart. My Suit was nervous. He made it to his bed and he slowly eased me down. I pushed back as he began to crawl on top of me. I lay back down as Lukas found my mouth again and began kissing me.

The tenderness of his touch as he feathered my skin ignited my soul. He rose up above me and took off his shirt. I reached up and began touching his tattoo. I felt my Suit shuddered at my touch. He then reached down and took off my top exposing me to the cold. He slowly touched me until he reached behind me and unclasped my bra. My breasts sprang free and Lukas’ hands found their way there as he gently began to knead them. His simple touch made my body quiver in ecstasy. He pushed me back down and I could feel him taking off my pants. He deliberately took his time as he watched me look on. He stood at the foot of the bed and looked down at me.

“So beautiful.” He uttered under his breath. Once he was free of his jeans, I could finally see my Lukas. His body was everything I dreamt of these past months.

I could feel the bed dip as Lukas crawled over me. The contact of his body, the weight of him on top of me, made my heart swell. He found my entrance and slowly eased inside me. I could feel every inch, as he pushed forward until he filled me completely.

“I love you Alexia. I always have and I always will.” He began to move slowly as he surged inside me. I withered away as he continued to make love to me.

“I love you.” I said softly into his ear. Lukas’ eyes fixated on me as he moved. The mere look he gave me made me cum. I cried out, lost in my moment, only realizing when I was done that Lukas had cum too. He continued to softly move inside me as my pussy milked him completely.

The overwhelming feelings that I felt began to consume me, as he tenderly held me to him. “Have you found what you needed? Cause baby if you have please come back to me!” He pleaded in a low rough voice. He leaned his forehead down to mine. I could hear his heart beating rapidly. “I’m not going to make the same mistakes. I know you found yourself again. I just…I just can’t stay away anymore.” He confessed and held me close. He slowly eased his hand to my face and gently feathered my cheek.

“Lukas…I’m just scared. I don’t think I can be without you, but I don’t want to lose myself either.” I admitted.

“You won’t. I’m not asking you to change anything. I told you, I’ve moved here. I’m not going to interfere like I did before. I just want you and the life we are supposed to have.”

I watched, as Lukas completely exposed himself to me emotionally. I put my hand up to his face and cupped it.

“I missed you” I smiled gently “so much it nearly killed me.” I whispered. He lowered his head onto my chest and gently kissed me.

“I know baby. Trust me, I know.” I reached for his wrist and saw the tattoo of my name. I brought it to my lips and kissed it. “We’ll take things slow. Ok?” I winked. “Your slow or my slow?” He joked.

“We tried your slow, now let’s try mine.”
