Elise disconnected the call and stared at the sign in front of her.

. She mentally shook her head at the lack of originality. During her research trips, she had never had to enter a local watering hole. It just wasn’t her scene. But where else was she going to find men who wanted to join a ménage dating site?

The town had a sign upon entering the city limits, claiming a population of one thousand and twenty-one citizens. That wasn’t a lot of people, but probably enough to fulfill their need. So how was she to go about asking which men were interested in a ménage? Unfortunately, it would sound like she was the one intent on that type of relationship, when that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She would never, in a million years, get involved with a man, let alone two. Unlike her stories, in real life, relationships never worked.

The door to the bar slammed open, causing her to jump. Placing a hand over her heart, as if that would stop it from racing, her eyes landed on the most gorgeous specimen of the male species. He was laughing at something, his head thrown back as if he enjoyed the little things in life. The crinkles around his eyes were sexy, and the lines around his mouth were downright kissable. Elise broke out in a cold sweat. Maybe she was coming down with something, because she refused to believe that this man would cause such a reaction. She had done a lot of traveling, so maybe she had picked up a bug somewhere. Besides, she was immune to the opposite sex.

Elise saw a second man follow behind him, his smile like that of the first guy. The similarities were unmistakable, and she knew they must be brothers. Her heart wasn’t slowing down like it should, and her stomach decided that it wanted to do flips. She must look silly with a hand over her chest and another on her stomach, so Elise forced herself to drop her hands. In doing so, her cell phone crashed to the ground.

“Shit.”

Elise crouched and picked up the two pieces of plastic, forgetting about the two men who could be models for her book covers. Her glasses slipped down her nose, as usual. Her phone had literally broken in half, and as she turned it over, she saw the screen had cracked as well. She highly doubted this town had a cell phone store, which meant she would have to drive thirty miles to the nearest town. Two pairs of cowboy boots stepped into place where her cell phone had landed. She gulped, knowing they had noticed her. Using her middle finger, she pushed her glasses back up, letting her get a good visual.

Elise couldn’t help herself. She slowly took in the denim-clad legs as she brought her gaze upward. Those were some pretty big bulges. It took her a few seconds before she was able to continue. Their waists were a nice size for how big they were, which she guessed was at least six feet. Their chests were massive, and she wondered what they looked like naked. She had always been partial to chests, at least when it came to her book covers. Personally, as long as she had her favorite vibrator, she was satisfied. She finally reached their faces and was met with eyes so blue, they reminded her of the sky on a cloudless day.

Elise had found her first clients for the ménage dating site. She just needed to remind herself they weren’t for her. Taking a deep breath, Elise stood up and decided it was time to get down to business.

I have a very supportive family, which came in handy when I decided to switch my financial career of seventeen years to writing. As most authors, I have been an avid reader all my life and have dabbled in writing since my early teens. We all have those times when reality becomes too much and we need something to lighten our hearts. The passing of my husband happened way before it should have and I live to write the happy ending I didn’t get to have. Here’s to lightening our hearts!
