I meandered through the towels on the floor in the bathroom and walked into the living area. Cailen was standing at the window, one hand resting in his pocket and the other holding the phone to his ear as he laughed into the device.

I leaned against the doorway watching his movements and calm confidence. It sent a shiver of pride up my spine because that beautiful man was all mine.

He sensed me and slowly turned his head. His eyes widened when he rolled over my body and he immediately ended the conversation placing the phone on the desk and prowling across the room with an eager look in his eye.

I held out my hand.

“Now wait just a minute marathon man. I spent a lot of time and effort on this,” I gestured my hand down my body, “and I want to enjoy it for at least a few hours before we wreck it.”

He acted as if he heard nothing and pulled my lips to his. His tongue touched every surface of my mouth before he swiped the roof and ended with a bite to my lower lip.

At that point
I
had even forgotten what I said.

He smiled wide. “There, still gorgeous and now you’ll be ready for me later.”

It took a few moments to form the words but they came, “I’m always ready for you.” My hooded eyes finished a trek down his lips to his chest.

He took a finger and trailed it from my chin down my throat crossing my chest and circling my nipple ring under the sheer bra.

We moaned simultaneously and I shook my head wiling us to stop.

I gripped his hand. “Come on before we end up ripping this twelve-hundred dollar jacket.”

“I’ll just save it for later.” He said matter of factly.

We walked out the door and stepped onto the elevator. It was the first time I noticed what he was wearing and I hummed. The dark jeans fit snugly over his cock and the ass would put any man to shame. His white button down was rolled up at the sleeves exposing that orgasm-inducing tattoo at his elbow.

I wondered if it was possible to die from being horny so much, because if so, I might as well buy my plot at the cemetery because I’d be in it soon.

He grabbed my hand and led me through the hotel proudly stealing glances at me and smiling wide each time he drank me in. We hopped into the awaiting car and doubled back heading to Alick’s house.

Ten minutes later we stopped and he pulled me from the car. Before we entered the house he gripped the back of my neck and crashed his lips to mine as his other hand wound around my lower back yanking me into his thigh.

I moaned.

Finally he released me and we were both panting as though we’d just finished a 5k. He smirked and grabbed the massive handle on the door swinging it open. Immediately I heard the loud rumble of voices coming from the kitchen.

Cailen hung his head laughing as he pulled me in his wake.

The closer we got the more boisterous they became. I was now convinced they’d drank the contents of both bottles while we were gone. When we rounded the corner I eyed the empty glass bottles.

Yep. They soaked it right up.

I didn’t notice the silence at first until I lifted my gaze and four sets of massive framed eyes were raking me over. Stunned and intimidated is what I would call myself.

Kincaid let out a deep growl. “Cailen you better hurry and get a ring on her finger before I devour her.” His voice was deep and grovely but full of humor.

I blushed to my hairline and he barked a laugh. Everyone slowly began chatting again and Cailen was shaking his head laughing.

“He’s right, Gemma. Its imperative I secure that hand before some other wanker knocks me out of line.”

“Impossible. Your cock is my magnet. It could never get far enough away before it’s pulled back in.” I pinched the tip of his nose smiling.

He threw his head back laughing. “You have no idea how fucking true that is, love.”

I smiled then turned my head back to the guys. “Ok. Whose going to take me out and give me the full Scottish experience?”

All four grinned and raised their hands.

Kincaid barreled forward and crossed the kitchen in three long strides grabbing my hand and nearly yanking my arm from its socket.

I giggled and Cailen laughed out loud.

The sight of me bunched between these enormous alpha males was comical.

Stilettos and designer jeans against football jerseys and cotton pants.

We strolled through the streets amid catcalls and whistles. I wasn’t sure if they were directed at them or me.

We stopped at a pub and I was pulled to a stool between Kincaid and Cailen. The first round of Glenlivet hit the bar in front of us and it was devoured pretty quickly while we laughed at tales of Cailen during his football years.

Another round slid down and I loosen up enough to tell a few stories of my own.

Kincaid was fascinated by my bachelorette life and no relationship mentality.

I laughed. “It’s really common in Manhattan, doll. Careers are the staple and sleeping around is the life. One of my oldest friends is one of the founding members, basically. We’re known as the ‘Pretty Bitches’ of Fifth Avenue.”

I shrieked a laugh realizing just how fucking ridiculous that sounded and how stupid and meaningless that life was.

His eyes were on fire as he asked, “What’s her name?” His Scottish accent mixed with the alcohol was hard for me to follow.

“Lila.” I sighed thinking of our fight.

“Call her and tell her to bring her ‘Pretty Bitch’ ass out here and I’ll show her that sleeping with me once is impossible. She’ll have to shed her ‘one night stand’ rule when she takes me in.” His voice was just as sexy as his body and I had to reach over for Cailen’s hand to steady myself.

I laughed hard. “I’m sure that’s true but she is one hard nut to crack. Trust me. She’ll have you seeing red before the night is over.”

“I like a challenge and I love a good bitch. Give me your phone.” He commanded and I automatically responded.

I rifled through the contents of my clutch and pulled out the metal device.

He gripped it with his massive hand and thumbed through my contacts until he landed on her name. When he selected it and saw her picture a wide grin spread across his face.

“Fuck yes. She’s gorgeous, too.”

He pressed the call button and placed the receiver to his ear. Seconds later I heard his rumbly voice. “Lila? This is Kincaid and I am sitting at a bar in Edinburg having drinks with your friend Emberly.”

He paused listening as he smiled wide. “Yep, she’s sitting here with her fiancée, my best friend, Cailen Carmichael.”

He nodded and looked at me. “That’s right, married. Yep. Not sure. Uh huh. Well, I was hoping I could test your theory of one-night stands. I believe I could properly fuck you and have you chanting my name from those very beautiful lips.”

He leaned his head back laughing. “That’s right. All I know is once you let me work you over I can promise one night won’t be enough, beautiful. Yes. Lived here all my life.”

He looked at me and pulled the phone away from his ear to ask, “How long will you be staying?”

My eyes widened and I looked at Cailen who had a shit-eating grin on his lips and he just shrugged. I looked back at Kincaid and said, “I’m not really sure.”

He smiled wider as he placed the phone back to his ear. “Undetermined. Now, why don’t you get your pretty ass on a plane and join our party?”

He paused as he listened. “Ok. See you soon, ‘Pretty Bitch.’” I heard her barking laugh as he slid the lock and handed me the phone.

I blinked several times shocked at the events.

“Um, what the fuck just happened?” I asked completely dazed.

He smiled as he took a drink. “We pick her up at the airport tomorrow afternoon. She was busy booking her flight and didn’t have time to chat with you. Sorry, pretty lady.”

I sputtered several words before I finally managed, “Are you fucking serious? Lila? Is coming here? To Edinburg? Tomorrow?”

He snorted at my delivery and nodded in accent to each question. “Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And yes—6:15.”

To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Lila hadn’t missed a day of work since she started at Vogue thirteen years ago. Matter of fact, she hadn’t left Manhattan in over ten years, not even to go to New Jersey.

It must be the fucking Scottish accent because it had completely veered us both off course.

I just shook my head and motioned for another drink. Cailen ran his hand across my back and leaned in to kiss my neck. I turned to meet those pretty pink lips and showed him I wouldn’t mind a bit if he decided to rip this jacket right off.

He certainly wasted no time running his thumb up my stomach and brushing it over my nipple. I moaned into his mouth as he traced it several times and slid his palm down between my thigh and ran the length several times resting at the top inner side.

I pulled back because if I didn’t stop we were going to end up spread-eagle on the fucking bar. I shook my head staring at him with hooded eyes and I saw he was fighting to gain control.

I lifted my drink and simultaneously placed my other hand on his cock as the drink touched my lips. He was hard and long and I was suddenly breathing heavy.

Mac pulled me out of my sexual fog as he asked, “Emberly, have any more friends you can put on a plane tomorrow?” His eyes were alight with amusement.

I let out a shaky laugh. “Most women hate me, Mac. There aren’t any others that don’t already have me on a hit list.” I lilted.

Laughs sounded down the row of chairs.

A slow song with a killer beat and bagpipes came on and Cailen reached for my hand pulling me off the stool. The isle was cramped but he pulled me into his frame and looked down into my eyes as he led me around. He had a strong frame and I could tell he was an excellent dancer—his lead was solid.

We twisted, our bodies close together until the song ended and he whispered, “I’m ready to put a ring on your finger and make you mine, Emberly.” He pulled back and claimed my eyes.

“Let’s do it.” The words came out automatically without hesitation.

They shocked me still and made him stop in his tracks. It was as though the heavens opened and all the stars aligned. Everything was crystal clear. Nothing else mattered in this world but this man. The fact that I hadn’t thought about my job in days—and even more importantly could care less now—gave me my answer.

I wanted to be wherever he was. Period.

The most beautiful smile came across his face before he kissed me so tenderly and encircled me in his strong arms.

He reached into his pocket and pulled a blue velvet box.

“I made a stop on the way back from the gym.” He said slyly opening the box and dipping down to his knee.

My breath caught and my hands started trembling.

He stared into my eyes as he lifted my left hand. “Emberly Landon. I promise to always love, protect and honor you. Would you do me the honor of being my wife?”

I felt my knees almost buckle and the tears spilled over my eyes as I nodded emphatically.

“Yes! Yes!”

He smiled as he slid the ring on my finger and stood to wrap me in his arms.
