It only took two more thrusts before my core exploded and I climaxed with such intensity it brought tears to my eyes. I was still trembling when I looked into his eyes, which were pleading with me.

I ground hard into his waist and rocked violently back and forth until I saw his eyes grow wide and then shut tight as his entire body spasmed. I continued to rock until he was arched into the mattress. Finally I took one last trek up his length and felt the end of his release and then collapsed onto his chest.

We were both panting and I kissed my way up his body and pulled my panties from his mouth.

He bit my neck hard enough for me to yelp with pleasure then chanted into my ear, “Oh my God! Gemma, you will be the death of me, love.” He continued to pepper me with kisses before he finished, “I’ve never felt so fucking connected with anyone in my life.”

I smiled and reached for the ties on his arms, releasing him only wanting to feel his touch.

He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me tight to his body.

“Did you like that?” I asked breathlessly.

His lips found mine and I got my answer before he professed, “Gemma, I absolutely cannot wait to make you mine forever and spend our days doing nothing but this. Fuck. Matter of fact I might need to visit my doctor and make sure my heart is up to the fucking challenge. I can’t even describe what that felt like for me.” He continued to lick my neck and make trails across my chest while his fingers pulled at my nipple rings.

I purred at the contented feeling of his touch on my body. Then his fingers ran a long trail to my clit and he began tracing it and teasing it until I was gasping. He ran his face across my breasts and straight down between my legs. I couldn’t help the shriek that emanated from my mouth.

That just drove him harder.

His tongue began a journey over my folds that honestly turned my mind to mush and had me begging with whimpered breaths. He was a master at pleasure and within seconds I was chanting his name full volume gripping his hair in my fingers. He licked his way up my abdomen and rested his chin between my breasts.

“I want to eat you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.”

I hummed in assent because I honestly couldn’t form a single word. He hitched my leg over my stomach and thrust inside me so quickly I nearly stopped breathing. Then he rhythmically rocked until I heard his growls in my ear.

“You feel so fucking good, Gemma. God. I just want to devour you, love.”

He continued to batter me over the next several hours, and over and over I released with him but he kept coming back for more. I wondered if he was really serious and I would eventually walk with a bow because he was relentless.

Finally we
lay back sweaty and breathless but completely contented. Sleep was instantaneous. The next thing I knew I was awoken by a carnal kiss and smelled a delicious combination of grilled steak and garlic.

I stretched and fisted my hands to my eyes.

He stifled a laugh. “Hello, beautiful. Are you ready for another round?”

I giggled because I knew he was serious but I also knew that I was incapable of that at the moment. My poor lady parts felt like sandpaper they’d been worked over so hard.

I took my lips on a journey in search of his face and was met with enthusiasm.

I smiled into his mouth.

“Easy tiger. You don’t want to wear out the goods before you even say I-do.”

He laid back shaking the bed with laughter. Finally he pulled up to my face.

“I’ve come baring sustenance.” He gestured to the tray of food.

My eyes focused and I turned back. “Aww, have you already eaten?”

He shook his head. “No, my future wife. I was waiting on you, love.”

I smiled. “Well, lets join the land of the living, shall we?”

He pulled my hand to his mouth and kissed it softly. I reached for my bra and he grabbed my hand.

“Oh no. Fuck bra and panties. You will not be needing those for the next forty years, love.”

I stifled a laugh and slid from the bed grabbing my dress and sliding it over my body.

“Is there anyway I could get a toothbrush and perhaps some beauty equipment like a brush and maybe a tube of mascara?”

He laughed. “ Well, I can do two of the three, love. Follow me.”

He pulled me from the room and into the bathroom. He reached into the drawer and pulled out a toothbrush, brush and paste placing it beside my hand on the counter.

I broke out into a huge grin. This could be ranked up there with great sex.

After thirty minutes I was showered, brushed and ready for action. Well, not too much action, that is. At thirty-five I am completely comfortable in my skin but it’s also not lost on me the aging process. My eyes have bags and the dark circles that lie beneath are annoying. My skin is still flawless but we begin to lose the fullness and laugh lines become prominate. But even so, I still feel more beautiful than I did at twenty-one.

I reached for his hand and leaned into his shoulder as we made our way through the house. I looked through the window and realized the sun was
setting
.

“Holy shit. What time is it?”

He laughed. “Don’t know, don’t care, love.”

An overly jubilant Alick who was drinking a tall glass of Glenlivet greeted us. I couldn’t help it I walked right over and wrapped my arms around his neck.

“Thank you for last night. It was remarkable and I am so thankful.”

His responding smile was one for the record books.

“Actually sister, it’s not I you should be thanking, is it? From my impression of last night’s events I do believe all the praise should go to our dear, Cailen. I heard you scream his name at least ten times.”

I almost melted into the floor with embarrassment. The blush that colored my cheeks had Alick guffawing and Cailen groping my body.

I just shook my head and asked, “Coffee?”

“A bit late for that, don’t you think? Perhaps a little amber magic is in order?” Alick’s eyes were highly amused.

“Hit me.” I said
with uncertainty.

Cailen grinned and walked over to the bar grabbing a few glasses and the bottle setting them on the counter. We each reached for a hearty glass and smiled as we knocked them back.

CHAPTER 6:
MEET THE GUYS

Alick treated us to his delicious meal of grilled steak, loaded sweet potatoes and sautéed greens. Once dinner was over and the plates cleared Cailen leaned ove
r and placed a kiss to my cheek.

“I’m going to the gym for a bit, beautiful. Relax and get some rest,” He continued in a whisper, “…you’re going to need it.”

He laughed hard twice and walked out the door.

I just stared after him. Then the realization of our impromptu decision last night came barreling to the forefront of my mind. A flood of panic crushed my chest and I was suddenly struggling to catch a breath. Everyone was going to absolutely shit when they found out that Emberly Landon is getting married.

Lila will scoff in my face and remind me that I’m not marriage material and my job. Oh my God. What about my job? How will that work? Will he expect me to quit and stay home and be a good wifey?

I had not thought this through at all.

What was I
thinking
?

I’d just basically let my twat answer the biggest decision of my life. I was pussy whipped; well dick whipped is more like it. I placed my hands over my face and just sighed.

Alick placed his hand on my shoulder and that gesture had me jerking in surprise.

“It’s a little late for second thoughts, don’t you think?” His tone was light but I could detect the concern.

And he should be concerned I would probably and inevitably break his brother’s heart. I don’t deserve Cailen. I have the emotional range of a fly and am incapable of monogamy.

I kept asking myself why the hell would he want to marry
me
?

I mean for Christ’s sake I am known by all in Manhattan as the ‘Pretty Bitch’. My reputation of callous one-night stands and absolutely horrendous attitude aptly led to the famous moniker. And it was dead damn on, too. There were more people that had me on their hit list than Al Capone.

I shook my head slightly. “Its not that really. I just, well, I’m afraid of hurting, Cailen.” I dropped my hands to my lap wringing my fingers. “Or him hurting me, too, I guess. It’s just so fucking fast and I don’t think he thought things through before he asked me. I’m not sure this is what he really wants.” I trailed off losing steam because those were only half the problem here.

Alick smiled. “Cailen is the most responsible and focused person that I know, Emberly. There is no way in hell that he would ask you to marry him if it wasn’t what he wanted, 100%. Trust me. That man is the opposite of unprepared.” His words were laced with such sincerity I almost believed everything would be ok.

Almost.

“We’ve just got so much to work out. So many details that we haven’t discussed. I just… God, it’s complicated now.” I said as I looked up in search of the miracle answer.

Alick’s brows furrowed. “Well, you’ll give yourselves time to figure those things out before, of course. There is no sense in feeling rushed or unready. This is the biggest decision of his life and I know damn well he’ll make sure its perfect.” He rested his hand over mine and for a moment I felt peace.

He smiled wide before he refilled my glass. “Drink up sister. I have a feeling Cailen is going to introduce you to his poker skills tonight.”

That thought made me grin. I learned how to play poker from the best and I am a freaking shark. This was going to be fun.

I smiled and gave Alick a wink as I grabbed my drink and headed to the bathroom. I stood under the water and let the hot stream ease my tensed shoulders.

The soap was frilly lavender but strangely comforting. Once my uber long locks were clean, I shut the water and reached for a towel. I began opening drawers and found lotion and even some face cream. I was already feeling better once I got those lathered on. I pulled the brush through my hair and smoothed it down my back then turned the light.

There were a few of his t-shirts folded in the drawer beside the bed. I picked a Rolling Stones number and slipped it over my head. He had a few pair of boxer shorts tucked in and I grabbed a pair and pulled them on. Not the ideal wardrobe but it’d have to do.

I pumped some lotion into my palms and smoothed it over my hands as I made my way to the kitchen.

Alick was arranging a nacho platter and had a cheese tray sitting to the side. My eyes scanned the other counters and I saw the huge bucket of beers resting by the door. Wow. They must really get serious about game night.

I smiled again because so do I.

They’ll never see it coming.

Alick turned and saw my smile. “What have you got working in that complicated brain of yours?” His eyes narrowed.

“What?” I asked innocently.

He blew a breath out of his mouth and waved his hand to me. “Please. I have a feeling there is nothing innocent about you, sister.”

I laughed out loud. He had no idea how dead on he was.

I heard the enormous front door thud against the frame and I felt my heart pound in my chest. It baffled me the reaction I had when he was near me. His beautiful face rounded the corner and when he caught my eyes a big smile spread across his face. I felt like a fucking lottery winner.
