Chapter Twenty-seven
Before the sun was up, Lilly was already panting and wondering how she was ever going to get through the day.
When Flynn took her, it was his body but, even more so, it was his mind. She felt an almost constant tension between her legs and deep in her stomach. It was both pleasant and terrifying.
Right now, he covered her. His warmth and the hardness of every part of his arms and shoulders caught her eye. The blue-black ink moved over each muscle and tendon as he held himself, his hips working wonders as he seated himself inside her.
“Babe, look at me.” His face came up from where his teeth marked her yet again. Her shoulders, neck and breasts were dotted with red and purple marks from his nips and bites.
How is this possible? That I would allow someone to do this to me? But, it’s everything. I want it. I want him. All of him and everything he has for me. I’ve never been so under control, so at peace, and yet so whipped into a fury. When I look in the mirror, I don’t know who I see, but when I look at him, I am completely sure of who I am.
She’d asked him questions, and he’d gladly answered each one. His face would turn from playful to stern in a glance, and it had her belly doing fourteen kinds of cartwheels when he looked at her.
“Babe.”
Lilly looked up from the pillows. He’d just flipped her over again after taking her in the shower and then slipping out of her to feast between her legs until she begged for him to stop. His answer was this, to throw her legs behind the crook of his arms and guide that massive shaft into her soaking snatch.
His face was a sight. Completely truthful, with no illusions or facade. He looked at her with a lust and a connection that she only knew of in books. But, when he told her she belonged to him, that she was his in every way, she felt the truth of it from her toes to her nose, and he was showing her that now.
“Does that hurt?”
He shifted his hips, then came forward and Lilly couldn’t help the little gasp and neck arch that followed.
“Yes, a little, but it’s good. Don’t stop.”
Between the crazy spanking last night and the teeth, something in her felt like it was waking. A rumbling, dormant volcano was beginning to show signs of life.
He fucked and made love to her, and they were very different yet neither better than the other. He gave her time, asked her how she felt, yet he still took her without permission and it was wondrous.
Their bodies seemed to fit like some long lost puzzle pieces, his hard angles forging perfectly into her soft lines. He was a knight in some kind of flesh armor, and she’d never seen a man so physically magnificent.
His lips parted, just right and glistening, offset with the harsh angles of his chin, the cuts, and battle marks from yesterday and so many years, giving his face the depth of his story. Even his flaws were sexy.
She tightened around him as he played some magic trick on her with his body, pushing into her until she thought she could give no more, and then pressing flesh to slit, spinning that wonderful warmth that started in her toes.
“Oh god.”
Lilly let herself go; she’d lost any self-consciousness with him. He’d smacked her ass twice more, just quickly, when she’d try to cover herself or made a comment about how she may not be the prime specimen.
Another ripping orgasm tore through, her voice raw, and Flynn’s eyes stuck to her like a sharpshooter on his target when she came. He seemed to get more joy out of her pleasure than his own.
Even through her spasms, she heard his moan and felt the swell of his flared head. He slipped out of her, and she automatically opened for him. Feeling and tasting him had become her nectar, and never in a million years did she imagine this would be who she was.
I’m sort of his cum slut. Wouldn’t mother be so proud?
She broke into a smile both because she loved seeing him come, seeing how she pleased him, but also at the strange thoughts that danced in her mind at the oddest times.
“Fuck, yes. God damn — swallow, babe. You can swallow it.”
Flynn arched over her, straddling her tits as the last drops fell from the cleaved slit, and his body glistened with his effort.
He’d been true to his word, and she could not think of a spot on her body that his lips and tongue had not discovered and explored since last night. Even now, he lowered himself and feasted again at her lush body.
“I have to go.” Lilly swatted the back of his head as he started to descend below her belly button.
“Just a little more.” His muffled voice came from somewhere between her legs.
“Ahhh! God
. I. HAVE. TO. GO.”
She could hear his answer, and it was his tongue in her already crazy wetness. He had no shame and made her feel like the most desirable woman on the planet.
Lilly pulled her legs against his ears and let out a pained, uncomfortable laugh.
“Pleeease.”
Her fingers twisted in his hair, and she felt him relent.
“Fine. But, you remember what I said? Right? Get to work, text me. Leave for lunch, text me. Anyone unfamiliar around, the goons show up, Gideon, Colin, anyone, you text me or call me on that phone, which better be fucking charged.”
“Yes,
yes.
I remember.”
“Don’t be snotty, this is important, and you gave me what I needed to take care of you, remember? I told you it was your choice, and you said yes. So, get used to this. I’m going to want to know everything. I’m going to take care of you, but that means you have to bring me everything. Even insignificant shit you don’t think is important, I want to know. Got it? You are mine, remember?”
She should want to laugh at him, smack him and tell him to go fuck himself. But, the truth was, when he’d laid it out for her last night, she had agreed, and she’d felt completely safe and cared for, for the first time in her life.
“Yes. It’s all up here.” She tapped her forefinger to her temple and pulled her lips sideways.
“Don’t be a smartass. That will get your ass another swat. Now, come on, quick bath and I’ll drive you to work. I’ll see about that car today. The family mechanic and I are friends, so he may be able to get over here and tow it, and I know he won’t squawk to anyone.”
Flynn gathered her to stand, his tall body pressed into her back, his arms dangling around her neck as he walked her forward, kissing her ear.
Just before he stepped them into the bathroom, he pulled her tighter back into him and stopped their forward motion.
“You will be Mrs. Dunleavy. You will just never be Mrs. Colin Dunleavy.”
“Wait, I’m sorry, did you just ask me to marry you?” Lilly tried to crane her neck around to see his face, but he was already working that twilight-magical spot on her neck with his lips, and she couldn’t stop the moan.
“Nope babe.” Flynn gave her that stern stare. “I don’t ask for what’s already mine.”
With that, Lilly gave up for the moment, her heart in her throat, trying not to think of the reality of their life outside this little fantasy world.
“Come on, bath, dressed, work. Chop, chop!” Flynn smiled and bounced around her, leaning down to run her bath.

Usually, Lilly put her headphones on and that was all she needed to focus.
Not today. Her brain felt like warm Jello and the throbbing between her legs made her squeeze them together as she vacillated between being turned on and wincing in discomfort.
Sometimes, a girl just needs to talk to her mother, and Lilly waited as long as she could before the urge overwhelmed her and she dialed the international number into the new cell.
No, she could never tell her everything, but she could hear her voice and try to find some comfort and wisdom. The last call, all she seemed to want was assurance that Lilly would be a good girl, do as she was told and try to make her future husband happier with her.
Well, she had done that. And, in some ways, it had worked. For him.
Now, the deck had been re-stacked. Was she sure everything would be okay? Yes and no. But, she’d told Flynn she would trust him and, deep down, she really did. So for once in her life, she let the control go and had faith.
Lilly squeezed her eyes shut and leaned back in her ergonomic chair until it let out a squeal. Her hair falling a mile down the back while the phone buzzed the international ring in her ear.
“Hello?” Her mom’s voice was even weaker than when she’d spoken to her last week.
“Mom? God, are you okay?”
“Yes, yes. I’m fine. Cold here today, damp. Just makes it harder to get a good breath, honey. I’ll be fine. I told you. I’ll be there so soon, and I’ll be on the mend before you know. How’re the wedding plans?”
Lilly held the phone away from her ear as her eyes flashed to a burn. Tears wavered as she cleared her throat.
“Fine. Mom, fine. Everything is fine.”
“Good. Last time we talked, you said you’d turned over a new leaf with Colin and that things were better. Sounds like you are making the effort. Trust me, that’s just how marriage is. Make the best of it! You are going to have an amazing life. It makes me feel so much better to know you landed in such a secure place. You will never want for anything. Not like when I raised you.”
“I know, Mom. I know.”
“So, tell me what else is going on? Work is good? Your father is still as grouchy as ever, down at the pub already with his pint in his hand. Ugh, men are just as they are, dear.”
“Work is good. You make sure he’s nice to you, okay?”
“Oh, he’s fine. I think he’s just ready for me to go already. He’s not the best nurse, and that seems to be the only thing we talk about anymore, me and my health problems. He needs a break, too.”
Yeah, a break in his fourth and fifth vertebrae.
“Oh, yeah. I’m sure. He’s the one who needs a break. He’s taken over cooking and cleaning and going to the market—”
“Stop, Lilly. He does his own part; we have our ways. Our routine. It’s fine.”
“He’s an ass, Mom.”
Lilly blinked her eyes as soon as it was out of her mouth. Her mother hated when she called him out. Why she still protected him after all these years, she could never figure out.
“Lilly. Don’t talk like that. He took us in, gave us a home, and took care of us the best he knew how. You need to be more grateful. Life isn’t some storybook. Grow up. You’ve always had stars in your eyes, and I let you go on too much probably. He always said I spoiled you, and it would be your undoing someday. Don’t prove him right.”
This was not the conversation Lilly had intended whatsoever.
“Okay, Mom. I should go. I just had a minute to check on you. I’ll see you in a few weeks, okay?”
“Okay. Everything still set up at the hospital?”
Lilly caught the little hint of concern in her voice.
“Yes, Mom. Colin’s taking care of everything. The day after the wedding, you have a full dance card of doctors and top-notch care ready for you. It will be your own little mother-of-the-bride honeymoon.”
“Okay, dear. I’ll talk to you next week, yes?”
“Yes. Bye, Mom.”
“Bye, dear.”

Flynn worked the bag while Roger badgered him about leaving the Harway fight before he’d kissed Simon Reed’s ass enough.
“I told you to handle it.” Flynn swiped the back of his hand through his hair, it didn’t make a difference; the short waves stood up and around like a hundred out of control spikes and half-moons.
“I did handle it. But you need to at least show up for your own life, boy. You almost signed that contract and barely looked at it. If I wasn’t there, you may have just become an indentured servant to Simon. He’s savvy, but he’s straight and fair and you’re lucky as fuck that he’s taking you on.”
“I feel lucky.”
“Shut up. Don’t be a dick. You’re fighting Willy in thirty minutes. Show up, okay? And I don’t just mean your body. Your head is farther up your ass than usual today, I can see it. I don’t give a shit why, so don’t tell me. You’re pissin’ me off as it is. And that new little war wound there on your side, that should have been stitched. You take a hit there, it’s gonna bust open and then I’m cleaning mats with bleach. So, keep yourself on defense for once, okay?”
The old man rattled on while Flynn’s mind wandered and wondered what she was doing right now.
“Yaw.”
“Good. Now, fifteen more on the bag, then just stay warm, and I’ll see you over in the front ring.”
Roger coughed and yelled at the gal who really ran the place, Victoria, his daughter. They were never ones to hide their family conflict, and lately Flynn could feel the tension rising. He knew Topher had them by the balls somehow, and Flynn had become a bit territorial about this shitty place.
There was some other dude who wandered in and out that seemed to be part of the family somehow. Hung around Victoria, but there was no love lost between him and the two old men who owned the place, that was for sure.
