Raber Wolf Pack Book Three (14 page)

His weight leaves me, and then he flips me so fast onto my stomach, my hair flies and whips me in the face. He lifts my hips and before I can breathe, all of him is inside me. Every last inch pulsates and throbs along my walls.

My body responds, setting off with each thrust he gives my body. Over and over, my body rolls in the longest damn orgasm I’ve ever had. My knees start to give way, the weight becoming too much for me to hold up, but Thor’s steel band arm holds me up as he continues to push in and out. He pulls my hair back so hard, I follow him up and he kisses me long, hard, wet and deep. My insides continue to explode as Thor’s dick impales me. My brain can’t think, my body is solely under his control. As I explode again, my body can’t take it and I tear my lips away from his, letting out a cry I’m positive the entire den heard with ease.

As Thor takes his pleasure, his cum pouring into my body, I’m lost. So lost in the moment. My heart swells and I feel him. Really feel him.
He loves me. It’s so fast, but he does. He truly does.

We collapse to the bed in a sweaty, messy heap and as I drift off to a peaceful sleep, I hear, “I truly do.”

THE DOOR TO THE
den bursts open. “It’s happening! Tonight!” Zara’s brother Zane screams as he steps over the threshold. Sitting at the dining room table, all the wolves set down their forks and rise in unison.

Zara storms over to the door, but Xavier grabs her around the arm, stopping her before getting close to Zane.

“What the hell are you talking about and why did you block me?” Zara asks through a scream, her arms waving in the air.

We haven’t heard anything from Zane since he went off to look for Nana O, shortly after Zara’s father came to our den for her. He disappeared and Zara has been trying to reach him to tell him what is going on, but nothing. Nana O showed up, but no Zane. Xavier, Max and I thought he might have been taken out by another pack, but I guess not.

“What?” Xavier says, not allowing the banter between Zara and Zane to continue. The relationship between the three of them is strained enough, and if he’s talking about the Lobos, we need to know now.

After getting the waterway fixed, we all began to train. We searched everywhere in this den and out for that damn crystal for over a week. Marissa’s room came up empty, which surprised us. But then Xavier ordered we all train, hard, and he was right. We need to have our wits about us. We made all the females train with us. We practiced outside the den, but only a few feet away, as our pack took turns guarding each other while we honed our skills. We taught them different moves in case a wolf gets them in certain spots on their bodies, which is so utterly important. With Sabrea’s wolf just coming out, I worked her over hard. We all did, in human-form and wolf.

Camp has been held here to keep him safe. There have been reports of him missing on the news, but so far no one has come to our den looking for him. After the first news report, Max and I sat down with Xavier and discussed what we should do with him. We all came to the conclusion that he knew too much, and until this was all over and we could wipe his memories, we’d need to keep him here.

Letting him go is too big of a risk as we are sure that the Lobos would kill him. The man may want us dead, but he had gotten so many things wrong. Zara gives us updates on what’s going on in his head, and it’s mostly pain. There’s hate, but he’s confused right now, not knowing where to put the blame.

We’ve heard nothing from the Lobos and Zara hasn’t been able to read Seth.

We may not have the crystal, but we will fight for our wolves and the way it’s looking, all of the wolves. It seems that the time has come.

“Lobos.” Zane stares directly at Xavier, giving him his full attention. “Once I found Nana O, she was already on her way here.” We all turn to Nana O who nods in confirmation. I briefly wonder why the hell she didn’t say anything about seeing Zane, but that’s for another time. “She told me some of what was going on so I started digging. When I found out the Lobos were involved, I went to them.”

“You did what?” Xavier yells, getting right in Zane’s face. “Tell me you didn’t sell your sister or my pack out.” The vein in his throat ticks with each word he says, and I can’t help but feel the same damn way.

I’ll rip him limb from limb. Sabrea senses my tension and wraps her arms around my bicep, trying to calm me, but I’m thinking I need a lot more to get all of this to calm. I try to suck her in, but the red haze forms over my eyes, directed at Zane.

“Of course not.” He looks to Zara. “I know you don’t know what all I did for Dad over the years.” Zara quivers at the word dad. He was no dad, that’s for sure. That fucker deserved to be shredded. “But I was the information person. I learned how to get intel on other packs without being detected. Stuff that you couldn’t read, I found. I can even get by guards if I have to.” He looks to Xavier. “Ask your man at the gate if he saw me.”

Mal picks up his cell, confirming from the tower that they saw no one enter the compound. How in the hell?

“How the fuck did you do that?” Xavier barks, and Zara steps closer to his back, realizing the severity of what is going to happen in this room if this shit keeps up.

“I’m a ghost.” He shrugs. “Not the dead kind. The kind that can move from point A to point B without anyone the wiser. I got this power just before Zara got hers, and told my father immediately. After Zara got her power, he came up with the idea that we would be the most powerful team. I refused to go along with it.” He glances down sheepishly. “It didn’t go so well.” He looks back up, the fight back in his eyes. “I’ve tracked many packs over the years doing my father’s bidding. So, I went to Lobos. I got into their den and took in as much information as I could.”

Zane looks at the whole pack. “Sorry, I didn’t know about the waterfall until after the fact. I got a little sidetracked.” He shakes his head as if some thoughts he doesn’t want entering his mind. “I got my shit together and kept on them. The plan is to strike tomorrow at sunrise . They want it to be a sneak attack, just like my father’s bright idea.” He shrugs. “They have other packs, though. It’s not just them.”

My ears perk up. This is the first any of us have heard of more wolves joining his team. Shit, is this bigger than we initially thought?

“Who?” Xavier asks, bringing Zara in next to him and wrapping his arm around her.

“The biggest is the Kenton pack. They have about fifty wolves and have bought into this whole take-over-the-world thing. Then there are the loner wolves.” He looks back to Zara, pain in his eyes. “The wolves who somehow survived Ty’s attacks.” Zara’s face falls and anger pulses through me. He releases his gaze, turning back to Alpha X. “Hundreds of those wolves who are pissed at me and Zara joined Lobo just to take us out. Lobo took them all up on it. There are a little over three hundred wolves showing up here tomorrow as one, large Lobo pack.”

A whoosh of air leaves my lungs. Three fucking hundred. We’re out numbered twice over. We’ll be wiped out. This can’t fucking be.

He continues, not noting any of the wolves internal plight. “Little do they all know, that once they help take all of us out, and I do mean all of us, pups included—” Many female growls fill the room, along with snarling from the males. No one touches our pups. No one. “—Lobos will take out all those wolves, leaving none. Leaving them to rule. And here’s the kicker,” he says, and the last part is in a teasing tone but he straightens at our serious looks. It is not the time for fucking jokes. “They have plans for humans. The female humans, I correct. Their very own toys to play with whenever they want.”

“What the hell?” Zara says, her words coming out in a whoosh.

“What else do you know?” Xavier asks, all business.

“They plan on keeping the human women in cages, and have started building them outside their den. But, that’s the sum of it. They figure that all your wolves will be around you six, but their first targets are you,” Zane says.

“Do they have the crystal?” Zara asks.

“I did hear them say they had three wolves that went and got it, but I never actually saw the crystal. So, I don’t know the true answer to that.”

“That could have been the three that came after me,” Sabrea adds, and my muscles tense. “But all those wolves are dead.” Her gaze meets mine and I only nod, giving her the answer.

“That was the only thing said about the crystal,” Zane finishes.

“So all that time with them and nothing else about the crystal? And you didn’t think to warn us before now?” Xavier accuses. “I don’t believe you.” He looks down at Zara. She slowly nods her head, obviously her brother has unblocked her and is telling her the truth. Fucking hell.

“I swear. Zara knows I’m not lying. And I tried to reach out to her a few times, the more I learned about their plans, but she was always closed off to me. ”

Zara finally speaks up, “That makes sense actually, since I’ve been so focused on the pack and this whole six business…”

Xavier says nothing and we follow suit, not giving anything, not knowing if we can trust him.

“Fine.” Xavier turns to Max and me. “Meeting now, my office.”

“I’M CALLING YOUR
alpha,” Xavier says to Sabrea’s nod. “We have some alliances, but they are a few hours away. Max and Thor, get on the phone and get ahold of everyone you can. If an alpha asks why you’re calling and not myself, tell them you are calling under my order and stress that there isn’t a lot of time.”

I nod, pulling out my cell.

“Zara, Kenly, and Sabrea, I need you to get the pups to the other side of the basement, away from Camp. Get some of the females to help you get everything they need: food, water, games, or whatever for at least a forty-eight hour period. The room with the orange walls has the most bathrooms and there is a TV. It’ll need beds. Get Nana O and Grams to help. After they are all settled, you lock them in and get up here. We have our game plan, but it’s looking like things have changed.”

Sabrea stretches up and kisses me hard on the lips before darting out of the room.

THREE HOURS LATER,
the pups are sequestered with some of the females. Nana O and Grams are putting protection spells all over the den, and the three females are honing in their skills. We were able to get several packs to join and it should be close in numbers.

“All right, everyone have their placements down? I don’t want them close, but I have no doubt they’ll barge in. Spreading out is the only option at this point because if we stand all together, they’ll take us out quick,” Xavier announces to the large group of wolves gathered in our living room.

I’ve never seen so many wolves here, and I have to fucking admit that I don’t like others being in our space. My protective instincts kick up about a thousand times over, and seeing just one of the males look at my mate would set me off. Luckily, we all have the same goal here and everyone is keeping that on the forefront.

Several nods from the group ensue.

“Remember, this is for all of us. All the wolves. If Lobo takes us out, that’s it. It’s a heavy ass burden, but I want that on your mind when they come after you. You have to give it your all to protect those you love,” Xavier finishes.
