(2011), and coauthor of

(2012). Subramanian has published widely in academic journals, contributes frequently to the

He advises the Indian government in various capacities, including as a member of the Finance Minister’s Expert Group on the G-20.
NAVEEN TEWARI is the founder and CEO of InMobi, a mobile-based network that sells, distributes, and helps to produce mobile ads. A former McKinsey consultant, he worked with Charles River Ventures to develop its Indian investment strategy. In 2013,
MIT Technology Review
named InMobi one of that year’s fifty disruptive companies (“organizations at the forefront of radical change, displaying ‘disruptive innovation’ that would . . . transform industry and change our lives”). Tewari is also the founder and chairman of the India School Fund, which establishes schools in rural areas. He earned an undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and an MBA from Harvard.
JEAN-PASCAL TRICOIRE is president and CEO of Schneider Electric, a French-based global electricity, energy, and infrastructure company.
ASHUTOSH VARSHNEY is the Sol Goldman Professor of International Studies and the Social Sciences at Brown University. He is a consultant to the World Bank and has served on the former UN secretary general Kofi Annan’s Millennium Task Force on Poverty (2002–2005). He also has worked with the UN Development Programme, Human Rights Watch,
Freedom House, and Britain’s Department for International Development. Varshney has written or contributed to several books, including
Ethnic Conflict and Civic Life: Hindus and Muslims in India
(2002) and
Democracy, Development and the Countryside: Urban-Rural Struggles in India
(1995).
MILES WHITE is chairman and CEO of Abbott Laboratories, a leading manufacturer of products and medications for diabetes, eye care, heart disease, nutrition, and animal health.
ADIL ZAINULBHAI is a senior partner in McKinsey’s Mumbai office and chairman of McKinsey India.
FAREED ZAKARIA is a journalist, author, and television commentator who specializes in international affairs. He is editor-at-large for
Time
magazine and is the host of CNN’s
Fareed Zakaria GPS
(Global Public Square). Zakaria is the author of four books, including
The Post-American World
(2009) and
The Future of Freedom: Illiberal Democracy at Home and Abroad
(2004). Born in Mumbai, Zakaria earned a BA from Yale and a PhD in political science from Harvard. In 2010, he received the Padma Bhushan from the Indian government.
