Sara shook her head quickly as her face grew red and tears started rolling down her cheeks. "I should've stopped her!" she cried. "I just knew something wasn't right! This is all my fault!"

Jake pulled her into his chest. "It's not your fault," he soothed, rubbing her back. "You're right. I have a lot to explain to both of you and I should've told you before now."

Lilly slowly backed up, looking up at him in confusion. "What do you mean?"

"Let's go on home so I can explain everything to you both."

Both girls sat cross-legged on the floor in front of the couch, where Jake sat and explained the story from the very beginning. Neither could believe Jim's cabin had been ransacked just that morning and they had absolutely no idea. As they began to realize how dangerous these men were and the steps they were taking to hurt and destroy the ranch, the guilt built up like a volcano inside of them.

Just as Jake was wrapping up the details, the front door was flung open.

"Sara!"

Everyone spun around to see Andrew, her fiancé, frantically glancing throughout the house. Before they could say anything, Sara was jumping into his open arms as he stood in the foyer.

"Oh my god, I was so scared, baby," he crooned, rubbing her arms all over her. "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"

Andrew feverishly combed his fingers across her entire body looking for anything out of the ordinary.

"I'm okay, Andrew. I promise," she said, pulling his face down to look at hers.

He squeezed her into his chest, hugging her as close as their bodies would allow. "Don't you dare scare me like that again, do you hear me?"

Sara was quiet as he held her tightly against his chest. When he didn't hear a response, he slowly pulled back to look at her face. "Do you hear me, young lady? You scared the life out of me! Who let you go to a bar like that by yourself anyway? Jake! You seriously let them go up to that sleaze bar?!"

Jake stood to meet Andrew as he crossed the room. "You know I would never let these girls go to place like that by themselves," he answered as he glanced at each girl. He could see them moving slightly toward each other as if to defend each other as a team.

"Is that true, Sara?" Andrew asked, glaring at her with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, I-"

"It was my idea! Don't take it out on her," Lilly interrupted, stepping in front of Sara. "Please don't be angry at her. I dragged her into this whole situation."

Andrew twisted his head in confusion towards Jake and then looked back at Lilly who was trying keep up her tough persona. He shook his head at her tough-girl act and looked down to hide his smile. "Looks like you might have your hands full with this one Jake," he laughed.

Jake grabbed Lilly's arm, pulling her against his chest "You're telling me," he agreed. "Trust me, she and I will have a very long discussion about her idea to disobey me and drive up to the bar after I expressly forbade her to do it."

Lilly gulped as she tilted her head back to look at his facial expression. She was pretty sure he wasn't joking, but she still wasn't looking forward to her sentencing.

"You know, I may need to borrow that paddle of yours this weekend," he remarked to Andrew as he slid his hand over Lilly's bottom.

Andrew threw his head back and laughed out loud. "You may need more than that! Luckily I threw it in my bag right before I rushed out the door. I had a small feeling that some punishment may be necessary once I found out you girls were okay."

Lilly and Sara stared at each other with wide eyes.
A paddle! He's never used a paddle on me!
Lilly's mind was screaming with apprehension.
His hand already feels like a paddle!

Jake led Lilly up the stairs with a hand on the small of her back. Her mind was reeling with what to say to him. She knew he was going to punish her, and she knew she needed it to release some of her guilt. She remembered him saying he wouldn't do it while she was hurt Did that mean he wasn't going to spank her tonight? She knew it would be worse to wait for it than get it over with.

"Jake, are you gonna spank me?" Lilly blurted out her question before she lost her nerve.

Jake stopped as they were entering the bedroom. He didn't turn around for a moment as if he were considering her question. After several seconds, he slowly turned around to face her as she remained in the doorway to their bedroom.

"Sweetie, I don't know if I could bear to hurt you knowing what happened to you tonight Every time I see the bruise under your eye, I think to myself that I could've prevented what happened. I'm so sorry, baby." Lilly's eyes welled with tears when she saw Jake drop to his knees in front her. He wiped the tears from his eyes before he held out his arms to her. "Baby, I swear I will never let anything happen to you again."

She ran towards his arms, craving his strong hug. He pulled her closely into her chest kissing her neck and check as her tears fell. "I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you," she blubbered into his neck.

Both of them sat there on the floor of the bedroom, just holding each other. Lilly sat curled up on his lap with her head resting on his chest just under his shoulder. After several minutes passed, Lilly heard what sounded like a smacking sound coming from downstairs. Jake looked at Lilly and shook his head.

"I guess Andrew is dealing with Sara right now," he stated, hugging her once more before pulling them both up and into the bathroom. "Come on, let's get ready for bed."

Lilly listened to several minutes of smacking before hearing several loud yelps and then sobbing. A part of her heart went out to Sara, her new friend, but the other part of her was so jealous that the hard part for Sara was already over. She wanted that feeling for herself.

Jake pulled Lilly into his chest as they spooned in the bed. Lilly laid there thinking about the events of the night for nearly an hour before dozing off into a restless sleep.

Lilly woke to find the bed empty the next morning. She could hear laughter from downstairs. She threw back the covers and made her way down the stairs to the kitchen. As she rounded the corner, she saw Sara sitting gingerly on the wooden chair with her coffee mug in hand. A surge of jealously arose in her chest as she listened to the playful banter between her and Andrew. She knew she was probably feeling light-hearted and guilt-free after the little session she overheard last night.

"Morning sweetheart," Jake said when he noticed her entering the room. He noticed the tightness in her jaw as she looked at Sara and Andrew.

"Hey," she muttered, strolling quickly over to the coffee pot to pour herself a cup.

"I've got it for you," Jake offered, pulling out a chair for her.

Lilly bypassed his gesture and continued toward the counter. "I can get it myself."

Andrew turned to Jake with a raised eyebrow and then looked past him to Lilly as she snatched her coffee mug out of the cabinet. "I'm telling you Jake, you need to go ahead and take care of it," Andrew said softly as Jake sat adjacent to him at the table.

Jake shook his head in concern. He was trying to tell himself he needed to wait until she was both physically and mentally ready to accept a punishment from him. He also knew he wanted to put this entire situation behind them and the best way to do that was to make sure she understood he wouldn't forego a spanking when earned.

Lilly sneered at the happy couple across from her, not sure why her anger was so strong. She'd never wanted a spanking before. What had changed over the past week? She tried to shake off the feeling, knowing when Jake finally did decide to punish her, she wouldn't be looking forward to it. She slumped down in the chair, unable to shake her frustration.

"Lilly, do we need to go have a chat?" Jake leaned against the counter watching her pout at the table over her coffee mug.

"No, I'm fine," she muttered.

"Lilly, how are you feeling this morning," Andrew asked, hoping to calm the situation.

"Why is everyone so worried about how I'm feeling? I feel like any other normal person sitting at this god damn table. I don't see what the hell the issue is with you guys. I don't need to be babied," she ranted.

Before Lilly could take another sip of her coffee, she felt a large hand grasp her wrist and pull her up out of her chair. "Let's go."

Jake dragged her out of the kitchen and into the hallway "I will not allow you speak to our guests that way," he growled.

"Allow me? You do not
allow
me to do anything!" Without a word, Jake began roughly pulling her up the stairs. "Wait! Jake! Where are we going?" Lilly knew by the way he was pulling her that she definitely had pushed him to the limit. "Jake please, I'm sorry. Can't we just go to your office and talk? I'm ready to talk now Really I am."

"No, we cannot go to the office," he answered ominously.

Lilly was almost afraid to ask, but couldn't help herself. "Why not?"

"Because the hairbrush is not in the office."

Jake threw open the door in the bedroom, pulling her alongside him all the way to the corner. "You stand right there and think about why you felt the need to push me to do this while we still have company downstairs."

He paced into the bathroom, trying to calm himself down. He would never punish her in anger, but he couldn't believe how she acted downstairs. She definitely had her bratty moments, but never something so openly rude guests in our home.
Our home
, he thought. He knew he was going to marry this crazy, beautiful woman, and he knew he would have to set the tone now for how their relationship was going to work. He paused in front of the vanity, gazing at himself in the mirror. He looked down at the drawer in front of him which held the hairbrush. He pulled his eyes back up to look at the reflection of her standing the corner across from the bathroom. As he brought his eyes back to his stare at his own reflection, his eyes caught sight of the bath brush leaning against the tile surrounding the Jacuzzi tub. He stared for a moment before shaking his head. "Not yet," he muttered and pulled open the vanity drawer to grab the hairbrush.

Walking back out to the bedroom, he sat down on the leather ottoman at the foot of the bed. He set the hairbrush down next to him and rubbed his temples. Taking a deep breath, he looked over at Lilly. Her hands were fidgeting at her sides and she was slightly trembling as she swayed from foot to foot in the corner. His heart jumped at her behavior. He loved her so much and he hated to hurt her, but he couldn't help but smile at her submission. It made him feel like the luckiest man in the world. He wanted nothing more than to take care of her for the rest of his life. Whether it be a hug, a word of encouragement, or a spanking, he would provide her with whatever she needed.

"Lilly, come on over here, sweetheart."

Lilly slowly shuffled over to him, her head hanging as tears rolled down her cheeks. At a little over a foot away, she stopped, unable to make herself take another step. Jake softly grabbed her wrist and pulled her in between his spread knees. He tilted her face up to his with a finger under her chin. They were nearly eye to eye in this position due to Jake's tall stature.

"Want to tell me what that was about downstairs?"

Lilly shook her head, "I don't know."

"You know that type of behavior is unacceptable, don't you?"

"Yes sir," she mumbled, kicking her toe into the carpet.

Jake couldn't help but smile. He didn't know what was more endearing - her small, young voice or her sweet, contrite disposition. "Young lady, you know I won't put up with that language either. I should wash your mouth out with soap."

Lilly's head jumped up to face him questioning his threat. She didn't know if he would actually do that, but she sure hoped he wouldn't.

"You know, after the way you spoke to me yesterday, I think I just may do that," he said as he pulled her closely, slipping his fingers inside the waistband of her pajama pants. "But first, let's deal with what happened downstairs."

Without saying another word, he pulled her pants and panties down to her thighs and guided to his side and over his knees. Jake began spanking without any lecture. Lilly could handle the first thirty swats until he started to move towards her sit spots and thighs. She began squirming around for him to hit different areas. She began yelping when he hit a particular spot several times in a row, leaving a searing hot patch in its place. By the time the first minute of fast, solid spanking was up, she was wiggling as much as she could and kicking her legs.

"Stay still, honey. We are long way from done," were his only words as he grabbed her wrist and pulled it to her side to prevent her from blocking.

She paled at his statement. How long did he actually intend to spank her? She squirmed even more at the thought as tears welled in her eyes. She already felt guilty for the way she'd treated him and made him worry. She didn't know if she could handle a brutal spanking on top of all that. He continued spanking for another minute as she fought to keep herself under control. Before she knew it, he stopped and was rubbing the back of her thighs.
