Saying Goodbye (22 page)

Steve lay still,
stunned
, his cock thick and Jack’s pulsating against it, slowly, with less power
, deep inside Alex
.

Finally Jack pulled out, dropping to the bed heavily beside them. Alex raised his hip
s, allowing Steve’s cock to move
out of his body and he rolled over, on top of both Steve and Jack, holding them, his eyes closed, coated in sweat.

Steve stared at the ceiling and could not believe what he had just experienced. As the three of them caught their breaths
, Jack
said, “I have never had sex like that in my life.”

Alex giggled.

“Oh

my

fucking

God.” Steve felt a drop of sweat run down his neck.
The guilt was overshadowing the sexual romp quickly and Steve began to feel sick with regret.

“And that asshole gets this kind of sex and still wants more?” Jack muttered,
“I hate you Billy Sharpe. I fucking hate you.”

Chapter 15

Billy held a bottle of water in his hand, slouched on the sofa, staring at his smashed TV screen. He grew bored with the internet, unable to contact Alex, and had resorted to flipping pages of glamour magazines Alex had purchased.

Alex
loved the men’s fashion designs in them.

Billy wished he could sleep but there was no way that was going to happen.

There was a knock at the door.

Billy dreaded Steve coming back. He stared at it for a moment, then thought of Mark and hopped up to open it.

When he spotted Mickey and Jeff, he sighed tiredly. “What
?”

“Can we come in?” Mickey asked.

Billy opened the door and stepped back.

Jeff looked around the room and spotted the cracked TV screen immediately. “Nice one.”

“Miller did it in a fit of rage.” Billy tossed the bottle of water on the couch. “What do you guys want? I’m wiped out and can’t deal with much.”

Mickey drew closer. “Miller give you the cut on the mouth
,
too?”

“Yeah.”

Jeff folded his arms. “Mark is still missing.”

Billy sat on the couch, sighing. “I figured someone would have called me if they found him.”

“Sharpe,
” Jeff said,
“You know the guy passes out all the time. He’s probably lying on the street somewhere.”

“If he was lying on the street, someone would have called the cops.” Billy put his bare feet up on the coffee table.

Mickey sat on the table on the opposite side of where Billy had propped his feet up. “What the hell happened?”

Billy threw up his hands. “I took h
im with me to one of the SWAT exercises
. We both got horny and I fucked him. Okay?”

“Jesus Christ!” Jeff showed his teeth.

“Punch me.” Billy
grumbled
. “I know I deserve it.”

“Does Alex know?” Mickey asked.

“He suspects. He knows his father well.” Billy looked at the magazine and then rubbed his face.

“We need to find him, Sharpe. I can’t even imagine trying to sleep tonight not knowing
if
Mark is okay,” Jeff said, glancing at the magazine.

“I have no idea where to look. Everyone has exhausted all our ideas.”

“Adam said Jack and Steve went to Rome.” Mickey picked up the magazine.

“What?” Billy sat up. “What the fuck did you just say?”

Jeff and Mickey reacted in surprise at Billy’s response.

“We spoke to Adam a few minutes ago.” Jeff shifted his wa
i
st pack to his hip and sat down on a chair across from where Billy sat. “He said they thought Mark may have gone to Rome to be with Alex.”

“And?” Billy knew the answer.

“Nope. Not that Adam heard.” Mickey skimmed pages of the magazine.

So Jack and Steve are with Alex?
” Billy laughed
sadly
and rested his head on the sofa. “Revenge complete.”

Jeff cleared his throat. “Yeah, well, I wasn’t going to be the one to say it.”

Mickey said, “Alex has always had a hard-on for those two. It was Mark that was keeping it at bay. And now?” Mickey shrugged.

“Now.” Billy rubbed his face and rough jaw. “Now, I opened Pandora’s Box.”

“More like Richfield’s ass.” Jeff looked at the TV.

“I deserve this. I know I do.” Billy sighed and stared at the ceiling.

“Yeah, ah, about deserving shit.” Jeff leaned on his knees to speak more privately. “We don’t want to pull any shit on you, Sharpe, but

if you separate Mick and me, we’ll tell the chief you used our dat
a
base to look up Randy’s intel.”

Billy laughed sadly. “You two are the least of my worries.”

“We have your word?” Mickey asked.

“Yeah.” Billy closed his eyes.

“Thank fuck.” Jeff blew out a loud breath. “I was going to quit if you transferred me.”

“Don’t fuck on duty.” Billy felt exhausted.

“Ha. Sure.” Mickey chuckled then said, “Hey, look. An ad for cologne with our boys.”

Billy opened his eyes as
Mickey held up the centerfold. Alex and Mark, sitting back to back, in riding gear, a beautiful white horse standing close by.

Billy began to sit up slowly, looking at the ad.

Mickey showed it to Jeff.

“Hot fuckers. I am so jealous you fucked them both.” Jeff reached for the magazine.

“His horse.” Billy felt his insides
churn
.

“Huh?” Mickey asked.

Billy jumped to his feet, startling the two men. He grabbed his phone and called Adam.

Adam said upon answering,
“No, I haven’t heard anything.”

“Adam. Didn’t Mark and Jack buy horses recently?”

A gap came in the conversation
and
then Adam said, “Yes! Fuck! Billy! Mark’s horse!”

“Where the hell is that animal boarded?”

Jeff and Mickey stood up, moving closer.

“Glendale.” Adam panted as if he were rushing to do something.

“Would he be out at
n
ight on that
horse
? I mean, would the stable let him?” Billy asked.

“That’s Mark’s
stallion
. He can do as he likes. Fuck! Billy! It’s worth a look.”

“Do you have the address?” Billy grew excited and went for his wallet and keys.

“Yes. Hang on. I’m looking it up.”

“We’ll take you, Sharpe,” Jeff said.

He nodded.

“Got a pen, Captain?” Adam asked.

Billy opened a drawer and removed a pen and pad. “Go, Adam.” He scribbled the address down. “Meet you there.”

“Okay.”

Billy slipped on his tennis shoes and grabbed his jacket. “Go!” He held the address of the stable in his hand.

Jeff and Mickey jogged out of the house. Billy locked it behind him and jumped into the back seat
of Jeff’s car
.

Billy used his phone to get the directions. “Speed, Jeff. Fucking speed.”

“You got it, Captain.” Jeff hit the gas.

Alex felt sticky and sated. He wriggled on the two men under him and found they had all fallen asleep after the bout.

Alex leaned up to look at them. He had wanted them for so long, had been denied the pleasure since his father was so fragile, and
,
of course, both men were ‘married’. Alex thought the marriage was a joke, since it was so open. So open that Steve allowed Mark to be the object of group
jerk-
off parties. Getting spunk shot all over him.

Alex managed to get off the bed without waking the two other men. He headed to the bathroom and looked at himself in the mirror. His ‘guy-liner’ had smeared and his hair was a tangled mess.
You look like a slut
.
He took a brush to his hair and smoothed it out.

Needing a rinse, h
e stepped into the shower and as he washed, he ran his hand over the tattoo on his pelvis, one of a gold lieutenant police badge with the words ‘Billy’ and ‘Forever’ on it.

Guilt began to haunt him. Alex
rinsed off and shut the taps, wrapping himself up in one of the white fluffy towels. He sat on the closed toilet seat and rocked back and forth, his emotions
start
ing to overwhelm him.

Billy had made love to his father, and

no one knew where his father was. He had seen his dad try to take his own life once. When Alex first came to Mark’s home in Bel Air, where he lived with Steve, Mark thought the attraction between Steve and him
was going to make Alex and Steve run off.

Mark had nearly overdosed.

Alex sobbed and wondered if his father was okay. He knew how fragile his dad was. Yes, he teased him, mocked him, but Alex adored his dad, worshiped the ground Mark walked on.

His father was his idol, coming out, openly gay, and so loving so wonderful, he would do anything to help Alex.
Mark h
ad
even
fixed the mess Billy and Steve had made with Randy.

Alex wiped his eyes and wept.
Revenge sex. Ha. Was it worth it?

Alex knew it was not. And if his father found out he had fucked Steve?

“Oh
,
no. No.” Alex shook his head.

He threw the towel over the shower door and stepped out, getting dressed, and sitting on a chair staring at Jack and Steve as they slept.

Steve came around first, and looked up, as if he were confused.

Alex watched him first discover Jack, then he met Alex’s gaze.

“Oh no.” Steve shook his head. “No way.”

“Go home.” Alex sniffled. “Go home and find Dad.”

Steve leapt off the bed and closed himself in
to
the bathroom. As he did, jarring the bed, Jack woke and appeared rough as hell. Jack looked up at Alex.

“Jackie. Go back to LA. Find Dad.”

Jack sat up. “Are you okay?”

Alex’s lip quivered and he shook his head. “No. I want my Captain.”

After getting off the bed,
Jack slipped his briefs on and crouched before Alex. “We’re going to leave. Can you keep going? Keep doing the film?”

Alex nodded. “Please. Find Dad. Okay?”

Jack caressed Alex’s hair gently. “Okay.”

Adam pulled into the dark stables where Jack and Mark boarded the two horses they had just purchased. He slowed down on the rutty gravel lane and could not believe he spotted Mark’s TVR Tuscan parked by itself in the lot near the stables.

Motion lights turned on as Adam parked beside the sports car.

He hopped out of the Mercedes and looked into Mark’s car. He tugged on the door handle and it opened. Adam gave a quick inspection of the car interior,
and
then walked towards the stable.

“Excuse me!” someone yelled, coming towards him from the house.

Adam stopped, waiting.

“I’m sorry, but this is private property
,

a
man said, possibly woken from his slumber, wearing a pajama top under his jacket
a
nd a pair of trousers, his shoe
laces untied
.

“I’m Adam Lewis. That’s Mark Richfield’s car. He’s been missing for nearly ten hours.”

The man glanced at the car.

Noise of a roaring car engine made both of them spin around. Adam recognized Jeff’s Mustang and the speed in which it was approaching made him and the owner of the stable step back.

It skid to a stop and three men jumped out.

Jeff said, “There it is,” pointing to the sports car.

Mickey showed his badge to the man standing beside Adam. “We’re from the LAPD. We have to look for Mark.”

Adam checked the man’s surprised expression.

“Let us into that stable.” Billy approached the man menacingly.

The man nodded and walked to the door, opening it and turning on a light.

Adam asked, “Which horse is Mark’s?”

The man walked to a stall. “Piccadilly. Here.”

Billy and the other two cops raced towards it, pulling open the stall door. It was empty.

“Fuck!” Jeff clenched his fists.

Adam tried to keep calm. “Can you tell us where Mark may go? Are there trails?”

“Yes. Hang on. I have an off
-
road vehicle you can use. You can’t take a car. Let me get the key.” The man jogged to the house.

Adam looked back at Mark’s car. “This isn’t good, guys.”

Billy
held his hands by
his
mouth
and yelled, “Mark!” loudly.

Mickey
head
ed to Jeff’s car and popped the trunk. When he returned he held a red plastic spotlight. He immediately turned it on and walked the trail.

Jeff caught up to him and Billy stayed with Adam. “He’s been gone a long time, Adam.” Billy shifted his weight.

“I know. I can’t think about it.”

The owner returned and hande
d Adam the key. “That’s the off-
road buggy. Just use that.”

“How many
trails
are there?” Adam asked.

Several
but they don’t go very far. A few miles.”

Billy grabbed the key from Adam and hopped into the buggy, turning it on.

“Thank you.” Adam touched the man. “Can you do one more thing?”

“Sure.”

“Call 911 and get a medic to stand by here.” Adam knew Billy was anxious to go and look.

The man nodded, appearing frantic.

Adam sat beside Billy and Billy turned on the headlights and they rode the narrow dirt lane.
