ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

When I wrote Singleish in early 2015; I had no idea what I was doing, what I was getting into, how I was supposed to do anything, etc. It took a lot longer to write Secondhand Purses, because all the easy material I had went into Singleish. So I was probably a lot more temperamental in the writing process. I also realized I needed help. Like, a
lot
of help.

A. E. Murphy: I told you that you were going to get acknowledged every time. Every. Single. Time. So, thank you for telling me I could and making me try to prove to you that I couldn’t. You’re freaking amazing and honestly, people, if you’ve decided to read this, you need to download some A. E. Murphy books, now!

Mike: My amazing, loving, wonderful, sexy as hell man that somehow puts up with me and loves me through everything that makes me all sorts of quirky. Thank you for asking me to be forever. Thank you for our twelve fur kids. If you have decided to read this, please look up My Four Legged Kids on Facebook and ‘like’ it, if you are an animal lover. My husband runs that page, it is his passion to rescue animals and educate the world in animal care and welfare.

Mom and Dad: You two are and always have been an amazing force in my life. Thank you for never letting me settle. Thank you for never saying that I couldn’t do something. Thank you for teaching me that dreams are never out of reach, if you put the work in. Thanks for teaching me to read at three.

Michele and Nik: How is it the three of us haven’t been arrested or committed yet? When I wrote Singleish, I was imagining what a close female friendship would be like with a group of women. I was guessing. I had no idea. Then you two. It’s better than anything I could imagine, and I’m so grateful you are my sister wives.

Rachel H., Charlena B. and Michele T: Thank you for being my fabulous beta readers and catching all my spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, missed words, etc. Thank you for the awesome feedback and for helping me make Secondhand Purses better than it could ever be on my own.

Dre: Thanks for Fierce Fitness. I appreciate you letting me ‘borrow’ it for Secondhand Purses. Everyone should have an awesome place to go punch and kick stuff.

You: Thank you for reading Secondhand Purses. This was really a fun one to write, and I’m grateful you took the journey with me!

ABOUT ME

I can throw down approximately 80,000 words for a book, but when it comes to writing about myself, I have a really hard time.

I am thirty eight years old (as of July 2015) and live in the beautiful coastal area of Southeastern Massachusetts. My favorite time of year here is fall, because of the cranberry harvest. You know the ads where those two guys are in a bog that has been flooded and there’s cranberries all over the place? It’s really like that, and it’s gorgeous.

I have been married almost nine years to my husband, Mike. Together we have twelve rescued animals, due to former position at an animal shelter. Our furbabies are Nikki, Bella, Penny, Ressie Q, Midnight, Callie Berry, Cadbury, Lil Lady, Disco, Sir Chirpsalot, Lord Peepsley and Overtime Flip. Two dogs, four cats, two rabbits, a cockatoo, two parakeets and a horse. All rescued. Please adopt, don’t shop!

I work full time as a Payroll and Benefits Manager, and part time as a Human Resources Manager.

I work out as often as I can, because I like food. Like, really like it. My retirement career will be to open a bakery. Hopefully.

That’s all I can think of, so thank you so much for reading!
