“Mmmm…” she cooed and bucked her hips.

“You like that? Do you want more?”

“Y-Yes.”

Sean dipped his head, but not before taking a handful of silky hair into his fist and giving a gentle tug. Her grunt made him smile as he locked his lips around one hard nipple. He’d keep himself in check, measuring just how much she’d let him take before tipping over the edge. Gently nibbling on the nub, he tugged on the handful of hair again. Her lovely, slender neck arched. The slick folds of her cunt wetted the tip of dick, allowing it easy passage into the heaven he’d been impatiently waiting for.

The first sensation gripped him. A tight, erotic vise fashioned just for him. As he nudged his hips forward, gaining another inch of precious access, she moaned. The sound was the sweetest thing he’d ever heard.

“Wait,” he said.

“What’s the matter?” She grabbed for the blanket and started to cover her stomach.

Sean tugged the blanket back and tossed the thing clean off the bed. “Don’t do that. I want to see you, baby. All of you, every bit is beautiful. Don’t cover yourself up.” Keeping a tight grip on the hair in his fist, he slid his cock from her body. He didn’t miss the sigh as she rolled her head to the side. “Look at me, Abigail.” He waited until her pretty face rolled back to him. “I have to slow down, or this will be over before it even really gets started. I want to fuck you with my tongue. Would you like that?”

The fact that she squealed and wiggled her hips made him think she’d more than just like it. He let go of her hair and slid his palms under her ass. He crawled down to the end of the bed, letting his legs hang off the back, and lifted her butt so he could feast on the sexiest piece of flesh he’d ever laid eyes on. As her knees went limp, he dove into the pink folds with his tongue, lapping like a drunk man who’d found a barrel of rum. Her intoxicating taste made him want to feast on her even more. He couldn’t get enough of the tender flesh. Now he understood what it meant to claim a woman. He’d read the classics when he was in prison, nothing else to do with his time, and now, at this moment, he finally got it. This was the summer meadow, the precious nectar they’d written about.

“Sean…Sean…I have to—”

Not even her frantic voice would tear him away from this meal. He licked faster, suckling on the sensitive area he knew would bring her the most pleasure. Tickling her clit with the tip of his tongue made her hips rise off his hands and buck against his face. She was going to come. Hard.

“Sean! Sean! I have to…”

Sean plunged two fingers into her wet hole and flicked his tongue back and forth over her clit, again and again until her hips locked and she cried out. The wet channel surrounding his fingers spasmed; tiny seizures racked his fingers until her legs went limp and her ass sank onto his palms.

“My turn,” he whispered through a smile and crawled up her body. Fisting the middle of his shaft, he guided the head between the slick folds of her pussy. The flesh was swollen and pink. He’d done that, he thought before nudging the wide head between her lips. He’d given her pleasure, and it was good. He was good.

The first sensation was like a glove. A soft, hot glove wrapping his dick in wet heat. Damn, she had the sweetest pussy in the world. He looked down between their bodies to watch the rest of his cock slide home. Once seated deep inside, he rested his weight on his elbows and captured the soft expression on her face. She was a sleepy kitten.
My sleepy kitten
. “You’re so beautiful.”

“I believe you’ve used that line before.”

He thrust forward, and she gasped. “I believe I have, but it’s true. You’re amazing.”

She threaded her fingers through his short hair. Damn, it felt good. A gentle touch like no other he’d ever felt before.

“You’re the kindest man and the best kisser.” She giggled and gave his hair a smart tug. “And a wonderful wall fixer.”

He pulled his hips back, and she thrust hers forward. He tried to tease her, but she kept moving closer to reach him. Tucking his face in her neck seemed to be the only way he could keep from crying. So he was a goddamn pussy. Fuck-all if he could help it. She was telling him he was okay, not some asshole loser off the street. She liked him, and that was more than his fucking mother had ever told him.

With fierce strokes, he fucked the love in his heart straight into her soft body. The firm grip her core kept on him made his dick grow another inch. She felt so good. Everything about this woman felt so fucking good. “Abigail, I have to come.” He finally lifted his head to look her straight in the eye. She looked back, keeping his mind grounded while his body rocketed into space. He felt his balls sneak up into his body as the first wave of his orgasm slammed into his groin.

He meant to pull out, he really did. The last thing he wanted to do was trap her with a baby. But the sensation was too much, and he couldn’t. “Ab-Abigail, I c-can’t pull—”

She peppered soft kisses across his cheek before she clutched on to him with her legs. “Don’t.”

The last spasm racked his balls, and he collapsed onto the lush body beneath him. His limbs were gelatin, and all he could comprehend was that he was a fucking idiot. “Oh God, baby. I’m so sorry. I’m sorry.”

Little hands cupped his face and pulled until all he could see was her smiling face. “It’s okay, Sean. I’m on birth control, remember? We’ll be fine. I wouldn’t tie you down like that.”

Tie me down like that? What the fuck?
“Tie me down? I’m the fuck-up who just came inside you.”

“And I wanted you to.” She wrapped her arms around his neck. “It’s okay, really.”

“What if? I mean, what if we ever…?”

“If we
ever
, then we’ll deal with it.”

He rolled off the bed. “Together? Promise we’ll deal with it together.”

“I promise,” she said.

The pounding in his chest eased. He snatched the pair of underwear he’d thrown on the floor and tossed them into a wicker basket by the door. He stood, staring at the small pile of clothes in the bottom. The thought of tiny clothes next to his own made him smile.

“Hey.”

He knew she’d gotten off the bed by the squeak of the springs.

“If I ever do get pregnant, I won’t hide it from you.”

He believed her.

“Right now, I just want to take a shower and try to keep a piece of toast down. Are you still up for the campout?” He turned around and cradled her waist in his arms, pulling her naked body flush against his own. He couldn’t seem to get close enough. She laughed. “I’ll take that as a yes, then?”

He pulled back only long enough to dip his head and slide his tongue between her grinning lips. The kiss was brief, but it was what he needed.
Please don’t throw this away
. “Yes,” he said.

“Yes?”

“Yes, we’ll handle everything
together
. And yes, I want to take you deep into the woods and fuck you until you can’t stand up. How does that sound?”

She struggled to turn around in his arms. Finally breaking free, she ran for the door. “You have to catch me first!”

Oh, he was going to catch her. And make sure she was safe. And happy. And loved like no woman had ever been loved before.

Chapter Thirteen

Abigail shifted in the seat, letting Penelope readjust and turn to lay her head on Sean’s lap. The twinge of jealousy faded as she patted the soft fur on the dog’s backside. She couldn’t blame the dog. She wanted to do the same thing.

“Thank you for making breakfast,” she said and flipped another page of the magazine he’d bought her at the gas station.

“No problem. How’s your stomach doing?”

The way his sidelong glance caught her made her want to leap over the seat and wrap her arms around his neck. The man truly was beautiful. How had he made it this long without a woman snatching his butt up and marrying him? “It’s good. I don’t think I can handle another cinnamon roll, though.” He’d picked up a handful of the prepackaged delights at the gas station, along with two packs of gum, two Snickers, and two bottles of Yoo-hoo. His sweet tooth was off the charts.

The sneaky smile he shot her made her panties wet. “Well, in that case, toss it over here.”

“You’ve had three already! It’s a wonder how you stay in the shape you are.”

“So? I’m a growing boy.” He waggled his dark brows. “In more ways than one. Are you sure you don’t want to stop off and have a quickie?”

“You’re crazy! Here.” She unwrapped the other cinnamon roll and handed it over. He snatched it up, only after pecking a quick kiss on her wrist. The sensation sparked a warm shiver through her core. Maybe a quickie didn’t sound so crazy after all. Ron’s voice rang in her head. Punctuality was one of his demands. He didn’t care for lateness. “We better keep going. It’s already after nine, and Ron will be pacing the cabin if we don’t get there soon.”

Sean slid the last bite of cinnamon roll into Penelope’s waiting mouth. “Okay, but once we get camp set up, you’re mine. My dick’s already got plans, and you wouldn’t want to disappoint him.”

“Oh yeah? And why’s that?”

He turned off the interstate onto the ramp. “Because I said so.”

She hid a smile. “Well, when you put it that way.”

The trip went so fast Abigail hadn’t realized when they’d made the turnoff to Carl’s cabin.

“You’d better get packed up,” Sean said. “We’re almost there. Don’t forget her squirrel.”

She looked down to where Penelope was sprawled out between them on the seat. She was munching away on the rubber toy.

“Oh, how could I ever forget that?” The dog looked up at her but not before clenching the thing in her teeth for another
squeak
. “Sean?”

“Huh?”

“You don’t think… I mean, there’s no way he…he can’t find…”

Keeping one hand on the wheel, he slipped the other behind her neck. “No fucking way. You’re safe with me, baby. No matter where you are, you’re safe. He can’t touch you. I want you to relax and have a good time. I’ll handle the rest when we get back.”

She rolled her head against his forearm. Could she put all her trust in him? The thought scared the hell out of her. When she finally opened her eyes, Sean was staring back at her. “Trust me, Abigail.”

She closed her eyes again, wanting to believe he could protect her from the man who’d taken everything from her. The man who’d left her for dead and killed her child. The man who’d promised to come back and finish the job. Opening her eyes, she watched Sean navigate the truck through the winding road to the cabin. Sure, he’d done hard time. He was a fighter and had the body of a gladiator, but he’d never killed anyone. He’d never taken a life. Justin had and wouldn’t give a second thought to doing it again.

Carl’s cabin was the first thing to come into view. The second was Eric, shirtless, chopping wood. Damn, the man had a body made for sin. Abigail could definitely see why Ron was in love. The guy was a saint, rich, and, from what Ron said, he’d been blessed in the underwear area too.

“Stop staring, Abigail. You can roll your tongue back in now.” At first she thought Sean was joking. Then she looked over. He clutched the steering wheel so hard she thought the thing was going to poof into dust. “I know he’s gay, but that doesn’t mean it makes me any less jealous.”

She gathered the plastic sack with their goodies and reached for Penelope’s leash as Sean parked next to Ron’s truck. “I wasn’t staring. The flowers bloomed, and I was just admiring them.”

He grabbed the dog’s leash from her and clipped the latch onto Penelope’s collar. “Right. You’re going to be punished for that lie. I think a good fucking should do.”

“I thought you said I was going to get punished.” She snickered and opened the truck door, all the while her mind playing the naughty reel of Sean, naked, smacking her ass with a riding crop, or even better, one of those leather floggers. Yeah, she thought, she could definitely go for that.

Sean helped the dog out of the truck and grabbed the duffels from behind the seat. “Did I mention it was going to be in front of Eric and Ron?”

Well, that made her stop in her flip-flops.
He wouldn’t!
“You’d better—”

“Hey, guys!” Ron shouted as he came jogging across the grassy front lawn. “Need help with anything?”

Sean heaved the heavy duffel bags over one shoulder. “No, we’re good.”

Ron was shirtless too. Abigail tried not to laugh as she watched Sean’s jaw clench tight. He sneaked a peek over her way. Didn’t he know Ron was like a brother to her? For that matter, Eric was too. The fact that they were a very-in-love couple and
very
gay didn’t seem to faze Sean at all. “Where should we set up our tents?”

“How about next to ours? Eric set our stuff up over there. This is going to be fun, just like when we were little and would camp out in the backyard. I haven’t done this in years.” Ron pointed to a small alcove of trees. The spot looked perfect, secluded but not bear-snatching territory.

“That looks perfect!” Abigail reached into the bed of the truck to start unloading.

“It’s okay.” They both looked over at Sean. “I’ll get that stuff. You just relax. Here, take the girl, and I’ll unload the truck.”

Abigail took the leash from Sean and watched as he loaded up his other arm with the tent bag. The tank top he wore hung loose over his hard stomach but clung tight to his bulging chest. The effort to lift the items from the truck bed didn’t go unnoticed by Ron either. His eyes popped out as he studied Sean’s tight physique. Okay, so it was her turn to get jealous.

“Stop it!” She slapped Ron’s arm. “Stop ogling him!” Sean, who seemed oblivious to Ron’s blatant appreciation of his body, stopped only briefly, then continued to unload the items onto the lawn. “Come on. Let’s go get this feast started. Did you get the meat from the butcher?”

“Everything’s inside,” Ron said.

As they made their way across the front lawn to the cabin, Abigail looked over her shoulder. Eric had come over to help Sean haul their things over to where they were going to set up camp.

“Since when did you care if I fantasize about one of the performers?” Ron walked up the steps onto the long front porch. “Are you that hung up on this guy?”
