Severing Sanguine: A Companion Book to The Fallocaust Series Book 2 (78 page)

I pulled the mask off, my crimson eyes squinting as I gave him a friendly closed-mouth smile back.

Ludo stared. “Fucking Sami Fallon? What the fuck…?”

I laughed and raised my hand. I pressed it against his cheek, and as I slowly stroked it.

Then I grinned, showing off every one of my pointed teeth. “Not quite,
mihi
.”

Ludo’s eyes widened; his mouth opened as if he wanted to scream, but instead nothing but stammering and spitting made it past his tongue.

Ludo wrenched himself away from my hand, taking two quick steps back – before he turned and ran.

I tucked my clown mask into my jeans and took a long inhale of my blue-embered cigarette, watching Ludo run across the open floor, his boots slapping against the concrete and his breathing laboured.

When he was almost at the door I nonchalantly flicked the cigarette off into the darkness, and started to run after him.

Or else it would be too easy, of course.

I ran through the open door and out into the cold night, the air brisk and biting, but even though I was scantily dressed in a thin leather jacket and black jeans, I wasn’t cold at all.

My eyes took me to the dark figure running down the sidewalk. He glanced behind his shoulder and I heard the low moan when he realized I was pursuing him. I picked up my pace as he turned a corner but as I rounded the same corner I realized he was another one of Silas’s failed chimeras. He was already slowing down, and the wheezing gasps of his breath told me the chase was going to be the equivalent of a wolf hunting a hamster.

“Get the fuck away from me!” Ludo screamed through gasps. He turned around before stumbling forward. He steadied himself on a telephone pole. I could see the whites of his eyes, shining brilliant in my night vision, making it appear as if the waning moon had gotten lost in the dark streets of Cypress. “I’m going right to Silas, you fucking psycho. C-chimera or…” Ludo gave up on whatever he was trying to say when he realized I was still running towards him. He ran to the left and disappeared into an alleyway half blocked by a rusted out pickup truck.

Then I heard a slam. My eyes narrowed and I quickly covered the distance to where he was. I realized he had decided to hide rather than run. Smart for someone who couldn’t run a mile without collapsing, but foolish since he knew I was a chimera.

My mouth flooded with anticipation of killing him in that building. I felt a twinge in my cheek, the same trigger that seemed to happen whenever one imagined eating delicious food. I was going to devour his flesh raw, and if he was still there when I was finished I was going to bring some for the kid Ludo had been in the middle of raping.

I opened the door and walked inside, but was immediately greeted by the sour aroma of gasoline. There were other rusted cars around so I coped it up to it being leftover fuel and walked down the grate ramp that led to the main floor of the building. An open building with grated catwalks above me and high ceilings filled with pipes and long chains.

“Ludo? Oh, Ludo!” I sang with a smile, seeing rows of thick metal shelving, most holding old car tires and auto parts. This place was full of areas one could hide in, and rusted, cobweb covered industrial machines he could climb. Well, this may be fun after all.

I smirked to myself, feeling so alive in this moment, so unhinged and free, I kind of felt like singing.

“Ludo, Ludo, give me your heart to eat,”
I sang as I walked down the middle of the floor, craning my ears as I finished the first line of the Daisy song to listen for his pounding heart.
“I’m so excited; I just can’t wait to taste your meat…”

I heard a hammering thrum tickle my ear canal. I paused and listened, before my eyes shot to the far left hand corner of the room. There was a large machine, half dismantled, in the corner of that room. I immediately noticed the dust was disturbed around it. I could see a hand print on one of the metal rungs.

“It will be a painful send off. I’ll chew your fucking face off. I’ll eat you alive, leave you for the flies – and no one will miss you,”
I sang with a grin. I got out my knife and deliberately let it hit the side of a stack of car doors and laughed when I heard his pulse jump.

Then he made a break for it.

Ludo shot out from behind the machine like a cockroach once you turned the lights on. I saw a flash of absolute terror on his face when he saw how close I was, but he didn’t stop; he made a break for the door.

I jumped up onto the roof of a nearby car and used it as leverage to jump onto a double stack of cars to my right. I quickly climbed to the top, the rust peeling off in my hands, and without stopping, I leapt off of them – and onto Ludo’s back.

Ludo screamed as he slammed, face up, onto the floor. Not just a scream of fear, but an absolute terror-filled shriek. It was so loud it broke his voice and only stopped when he had expended every ounce of air in his lungs.

The chimera screamed and writhed, twisted and contorted as I sat on his stomach, straddling him with a grin on my face that was nothing compared to the overwhelming joy I was feeling. The tightness, the cancerous pressure inside of me was slowly being let out of my body. I could already feel my entire body relax. I didn’t feel as coiled, I didn’t feel as stressed.

My god – I felt alive. It was like I had been a main character who had gotten stuck in the wrong book, only now did I realize that this was where I belonged. I was doing what I had been born to do.

I was alive. I was alive.

Ludo sobbed, tears and snot running down his face. He was sputtering and stammering pleas to me, nonsensical ramblings peppered with desperate promises. They were rapidly falling from his mouth like he was hoping that if he threw enough against the wall, one of them would stick.

But there was no point. There was no empathy inside of me, there was no sympathy. I sat down on his chest and grinned at him, a thousand thoughts coursing through my mind, but not one of them involved letting him go.

I petted his cheek. I liked the sensation, so I drew up my other hand and framed his face. Unable to stop myself I leaned down and kissed him.

Ludo’s sob made his mouth open. I took advantage of it and slipped my tongue into his mouth, almost wishing for him to bite it just so my own blood could lace his cries.

I groaned and moved my hips, uncaring that my cock was rock hard and throbbing. I ground it into him as I kissed him, feeling a well of pleasure pooling inside of me.

My breath got short. I drew my lips away. Ludo gasped for breath. I kissed lower until I got to his neck, and slowly ran my tongue along the nape.

I inhaled and took in the scent of sweat and fear. I kissed his adam’s apple, my hips still grinding into him.

Then I bit.

Ludo’s neck stretched out as he screamed, I used that opportunity to open my mouth and fully clamp it around his neck. My mouth closed around the soft nape and I felt my teeth puncture the flesh, then a moment later – hot blood gushed into my mouth.

Chimera blood… we did taste different. And like I had taken my first hit of my own special drug I knew this was the beginning of a most wonderful addiction.

And there was a lot of blood. I had severed an artery. I closed my lips around the wound but it was too much to drink. I let it spill over my mouth, the heat of the blood making steam rise up into the air.

Ludo grabbed onto my jacket and weakly tried to pull me away, but my mind wasn’t aware of it. All it was concentrated on was the blood, the blood, the chimera blood.

My eyes closed at some point in time, shutting off as many senses as I could so I could focus solely on this addictive feeling.

It was overwhelming, like a valve had been turned, releasing the pressure and the constricting madness that had reigned over my mind for so long. It was as if the thousands of weights that had been steadily added to my body were finally being lifted off. And something told me that if I let go of Ludo’s neck I would surely float away.

I was as light as air, nothing could stop me. The pressure was fading – and fading.

Though some of it remained. In the throes of this overwhelming pressure I realized my hips were still grinding against Ludo’s now dead body. My penis was so hard and burning inside of my jeans. It wanted release; it wanted to experience what my mind was experiencing. The same build up of tension, followed by the ecstasy that came with the sudden release.

He was dead, he wouldn’t fight back – I could do it – no one would know.

My hand slipped down and I grabbed onto the front of Ludo’s pants.

“Sami! Oh my god… oh my god, Sami,” a voice suddenly sounded.

My jaw unlocked from Ludo’s mouth. I opened my eyes to see an open gash dead center of Ludo’s neck, the blood trickling down though the pulse was gone. At first I thought I had imagined the voice.

“Sami!” Jack gasped.

I turned around and stared in absolute shock.

Jack was standing behind me, with a gas can in his hand.

For more than just a few moments we stared at each other, our eyes locked and our bodies frozen like a switch that controlled the flow of time had been turned off. What was going through his head I didn’t know, but my own mind was aflame with a sexual lust I had never felt so strongly.

And as I stared at him, his narrow face, full lips, large eyes that were the only true black in my night vision, I found my feet taking me to him. As I approached him he didn’t move; the shock of discovering me over our dead brother’s body still leaving him where he stood.

Without a word, without an uttered sound, with only the hammering beatings of our heart echoing in this soundless room, I put my hand to his cheek and kissed him on the lips.

Jack didn’t push away, and I don’t know what I would do if he did, because the heat I was feeling inside of my body was stronger than my own free will. It was uncontrollable, a tight burning and begged for the same release I had gotten when I had murdered Ludo. A booming, screaming voice inside of my head that commanded the same pleasure, the same liberation of pressure, and told me there would be no getting out of it this time.

I was almost twenty years old, I had put it off long enough, and if I didn’t get my release from this man whose lips were locked on mine, I didn’t want to see what would happen.

Jack’s mouth opened, I slipped my tongue into his mouth before I roughly grabbed his ass. He stumbled backwards until his back hit a stack of wooden pallets, I pinned him with my body and pushed his groin into mine, our mouths open, our tongues weaving in and out of each others, and my rock hard dick grinding against his groin.

The gas can he had been carrying dropped to the ground with a clang, the sound seemed to awaken my sense of smell and I realized the pallets I had pinned him against were soaked in gasoline. And not only that – I was starting to smell smoke.

Jack read my thoughts. He broke our kiss, his rapid breathing hot against my neck. “We need to leave… I lit the upstairs offices on fire.”

I kissed his neck; the pleasure burning me alive only grew at his words. “We’re not leaving,” I growled. So desperately did I want to bite that neck, draw a flow of blood for me to taste. I enjoyed the taste of Ludo, the taste of chimera.

“I have a car right outside the building,” Jack said breathlessly. He let out a groan, and in response I grabbed his hand and pushed it behind his head. I framed him with my body and continued finding his lips as he tried to turn away from me to speak.

“Sami…” Jack whispered as I unbuttoned his pants and slipped my hands down the back of them. “Stop. We need to leave.”

“We’re not leaving,” I said again, even though the smoke was starting to descend on us. I pulled his jeans down and moved my hand forward. I took the hardening dick into my hands and drew his boxer briefs down with the other.

Jack swore and he closed his eyes tight. I smiled now that he was unable to see my teeth, and pulled my own pants and underwear down. I leaned in and gave his neck a generous lick, then I grabbed his leg and when he didn’t try and stop me, I locked my arm over it, then his other leg. I pushed him against the pallets, holding him completely off of the ground and ground my hard cock against his ass.

“Sami…” Jack said again. “Sami… put me down.”

I pressed it against his hole and smiled. “Position it,” I growled and jerked my hips into him. The head of my cock was pressing against his hole, and if I had the free hands I would have grabbed it and pushed it into him until I broke through. He was a chimera, he would love the fucking pain and I knew it.

Jack let out a cry as I put more weight into my aimless pushes. I saw his pointed teeth clench. “The fucking –” Jack groaned, then his hand was drawn to his face. He started licking and getting saliva on his fingers. “– The fucking building his going to burn down.” He opened his eyes and looked up, his lips pursed but finally he swore and shook his head.

My mind exploded with lust and desire when Jack grabbed my dick, and forcefully, directed me into the right spot. Lubed with his spit he squeezed the burning head in a way that told me he was trying to inflict pain into me, frustration I presumed, then he adjusted himself so his bottom half was easier for me to access.
