Severing Sanguine: A Companion Book to The Fallocaust Series Book 2 (79 page)

“There you go, chimera.” Jack narrowed his eyes as mine widened. “I should know better than to tell a chimera who just murdered someone, no.”

I stared at him, and at my shocked expression Jack’s narrow eyes glared further. He then pulled on my dick and dug his thumbnail into the base. “Now you’re shocked? Shocked about what, Sanguine? If you wanted to keep hiding your identity so well don’t let me stick my tongue in your mouth, though I found out days ago anyways. Now shut up and fuck me before we both burn with that piece of shit in the corner.”

My hands were shaking from desire, no, my entire body was trembling. I wanted to say so much back to him but my primal instincts had taken over my body. Instead of continuing to be shocked over the fact that Jack knew who I was, I pushed my hips, and with his hand directing the throbbing piece of flesh between my legs, I felt the head break into him.

I gasped, the tensioned pleasure overwhelming me. I sunk myself to the hilt and drew Jack closer to me, hearing his heavy breathing almost in tandem with our racing hearts.

Below I felt him grip me, as if his body was trying to consume my own. It was tight; the heat of my own cock mixing in with the taut inferno that was the inside of him burning me alive. I felt like the flames above us had already started to eat us both. It made me dizzy, it made my mind swim and swirl with lust and desire.

But just being inside of him wasn’t enough, it wasn’t enough for the voices in my head that demanded release. They commanded more, demanded it to the point where the screaming lust was drowning out the cries spilling from Jack’s lips.

My hips started to thrust slowly, going in and out of the tight, constricting opening that seemed eager to take me in deep. With every drive of my hips I heard Jack’s faint cry, and as my mind demanded more and more, I started to go faster.

Jack clawed my shoulders and started to shift his legs, I grabbed them harder to keep him from unbalancing me and dove myself faster into him. The chimera writhing in my hold let out a gasp and dug his fingernails into my skin, and to my shock he roughly drew them down my neck, leaving a burning sting behind.

It only made my desire increase. I moaned and shifted him up higher, seeing his pale, white knee bent over my arm shake back and forth as I fucked him. It was shrouded though, and I realized the smoke had come to devour or bodies. But there wasn’t a care in the world, on the contrary, I welcomed the flames around me.

“S-Sanguine… slow…” Jack cried and raked his fingernails against my back. He shut his eyes tight and I saw those white teeth lock together, then his head stretch to the side showing off the neck, milky white and perfect. I leaned down and kissed it and continued my speed. There was no ounce of self-control inside of me that would let me slow down. I needed the release, I needed the release.

The pallets shook, sawdust fell on us, Jack continued to cry out and writhe, pinned between the pallets and my body. Occasionally looking down at our joined bodies, before closing his eyes and swearing between gasping moans.

“Sanguine!” Jack finally cried, this time he grabbed my hair and wrenched my head up. Our eyes locked, I saw sweat coating his head, his mouth open to help him breathe. “I need a break, put me down. I’m bleeding.”

I looked at him for a second, the voice in my mind growling at me to not only continue, but to speed up. To make him scream, thrash, make him take it even though he was asking me to stop. It wanted me to cum to him pinned underneath my body, crying and begging at me to take it out, to stop.

But I didn’t listen to it. I nodded and slowly eased it out of him, seeing a sheen of blood on the shaft and gathering underneath the rim of my head. I put Jack down and picked up the gas can, and turned from him.

“What – what are you doing?” he asked behind me, completely breathless. I could smell his blood on me, and on him. It mixed in well with Ludo’s blood, the gasoline, and the smoke… the smoke.

I looked up and smiled as I saw the black smoke pouring out of a door on the second-storey, the offices Jack had been telling me about. It had almost blacked out the entire ceiling and was slowly thickening around us, slowly sucking the fresh air out of the old building and replacing it with life-snatching, oily black smoke.

“I like fire,” I said as I turned around and grinned at Jack. Then I turned away and started dousing Ludo with the gasoline. “They all like fire, Crow especially. It almost makes you want to sing, eh?” I laughed and poured the last stream of the gasoline right into Ludo’s silvery eyes.

Ludo, Ludo, give me your body please. I’ll light you on fire, after I coat you in gasolineeee!
” I held up my hand and wiggled my gas soaked fingers. I turned around again, grinning wide at Jack. I just wanted to make sure he was watching.

I still loved being watched.

“Sanguine…” Jack looked at me, a look of fear and worry crossing that beautiful, beautiful face.

You made the wrong enemy, you really shouldn’t’a fucked with me. Now you’re dead, I’ll fuck your head, and no one will miss youuu
!” I focused my thermal touch and watched as my hand burst into flames, then with a chuckle and Jack’s panicked screaming behind me, I lowered my hand and ignited the body.

“SANGUNE!” Jack cried as the gasoline on Ludo’s body exploded. I was thrown back, a bright, blinding yellow light searing my eyeballs, and the intense heat burning my body. I landed hard on my back and heard Jack behind me. Shouting something before he started patting my hand with his pants.

I sat up and smiled again as I saw Ludo’s body burn. The intense pain in my hand only adding to my jovial mood.

“Sanguine… you’re sick…” Jack said hastily. “Fuck, I didn’t realize you were this out of your fucking mind. Sanguine – Sanguine, we need to go home. You need to get help.”

I grabbed onto Jack’s shirt and brought him in for a kiss. He indulged me for only a moment before he drew himself away. “Sanguine, get up. Please, please, I’m not fucking around we have to leave–”

My head shook back and forth and I smirked at the worried, horrified look on his face. Then I pushed him down to the floor, and got onto my knees; the cold concrete a sharp contrast to the burning flames in front of me.

“Sanguine, no! Not – here!” Jack said panicked, but he didn’t stop me from grabbing both of his legs and pulling them back. I leaned into him, pressed my mouth against those trembling full lips, feeling them peel from the heat of the flames.

I looked up from our kiss, and saw Ludo’s blackened face in front of me. His silver eyes now bubbling and boiling in their sockets, and his cheeks burning away to show rows of perfect teeth. The smell was incredible, the painful heat indescribable, the front row view I had of his corpse being eaten by the flames added its own gasoline to the roaring inferno inside of my body. The one that knew – I wasn’t going to stop.

Jack cried out as I penetrated him. He grabbed my back with his claws and dug into them with what I knew was all his strength. As soon as I was inside of him my hips started thrusting hard, with no break, with no slow build up, I fucked him hard and fed on his gasping cries as he shredded my skin with his nails.

And as I fucked him… I watched Ludo burn. I smelled Ludo burn. I took into me and devoured the beautiful scene playing out. It was almost too much for me, for my body and my mind, so many different sensations ravaging me all at once. So many satiated demons and yet the demon pinning this man to the ground wouldn’t be satisfied until I released him from my body.

And the tension gathering inside of me was telling me that I was getting close.

I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know how it was supposed to happen. I drew on the image I had of Nero. How I stroked him off and watched his body writhe and twist. How his face tensed and his eyes closed; how he gripped the sheets and moaned as I ran my hand over his dick faster and faster. Channelling my experience with him I leaned further into Jack, taking his legs with me and exposing more of his ass to me. I positioned myself over him, so my cock could get as deep into him as I could get, and started a quick, intense rhythm.

Unable to control myself I started to moan with every exhale. At first my mind screamed at me to slow down as the tension got almost unbearable, telling me that if I pushed for much longer something was going to happen and to my inexperienced mind that wasn’t a good thing. But I knew I had to push past it, I had to break that barrier and throw my body into what would be my first orgasm.

I closed my eyes, though the red of the flames still seeped into my vision, and I thrusted. When my body was urging me to stop, to stop building up the tension, I pushed my mind past it and continued, letting the groans spill and the cries echo through the burning building. I thrusted, and I thrusted through the pressure.

Then the binds snapped.

Suddenly I let out a loud cry, the pressure I had been pushing through reaching a critical point. With a wave of intense, mind-snapping tension, I cried out and slammed my hips against Jack’s body. The pleasure was almost too much to bear. It started as a slow, drawn-out compression but as I pushed through it amplified, doubling in size, then tripling until it became so overwhelming I collapsed on top of Jack, my hips still thrusting as I came inside of him.

My mind was swimming, it was a haze. I was lost in the feeling as it rolled through me again and again, every time I thought the orgasm was going to subside another wave claimed me, urging me to jolt my hips to ease it along.

Then finally it subsided. I groaned into this heaving, sweaty body I had pinned onto the cold concrete and forced myself to sit up. As soon as I got up Jack scrambled out from under me, leaving me on my knees.

I brought my hand down to my sensitive, still hard dick, and touched it. I looked down at the stiff, blood-streaked member and watched the last spurt of cum shoot out of it, leaving a milky white streak on my trembling hand. The first time I had ever seen my own cum.

I rubbed it in between my fingers and glanced over at Ludo. I could see his skull now.

“Sami…” I felt cloth get pushed onto my lap. “You got what you wanted – we need to leave now.” His voice was oddly soft and coaxing. I was expecting him to be angry but he was the opposite. He was speaking to me in such sweet tones I felt like this grisly scene in front of me was nothing but a hallucination. There was no room for such love-filled, soothing words. I was no cat hiding under the bed with its owner coaxing it with treats. I was the demon watching the body of my brother get reduced to blackened flesh and bones.

He was getting shrouded by black smoke.

Oh, there it was.
I smelled the air, nodded and stood up.
There was that heavy, toxic-smelling smoke. There was the smell of burning flesh and treated wood.

“Everything’s on fire,” I stated. I looked at Jack and saw the top of his head, he was kneeling on one knee.

He picked up my leg and put my foot through my pants. “We should’ve left long ago,” I said.

“I know,” Jack said in a low voice. My other leg went through my pants and he hoisted them up and buttoned them. “We need to leave. Sanguine… don’t let go of my hand. Do you promise me?” Jack’s hands framed my face, he made me look at him. “You’re extremely sick, Sami. Promise you won’t try and pull away from where I am leading you.”

“Where are we going?” Just as I said that the upper level, where the grated catwalk above us was leading to, collapsed, raining blackened, burning wood and debris down to the floor with a deafening crash. Jack pulled my arm harder and urged me to sprint.

“Home, Sanguine – we’re going home.”

Chapter 42

Not once did Jack let go of that hand until they were safe inside of the car Jack had driven into Cypress. And once Sanguine was safe inside the vehicle he drove and drove fast.

Though several times Sanguine asked him to stop when they got near what Jack realized was the abandoned building he was staying in, he only drove the car faster, keeping a hand on the automatic locks in case Sanguine tried to unlock the door and jump out.

Jack’s heart was racing, the blood was soaking through his pants, and his skin was sore and burning, but Jack kept driving and he didn’t stop.

Though when he got Sanguine inside the lobby of Alegria he found himself pausing.

He had never seen Sanguine in the light, not his true form.

Sanguine’s red eyes looked around like he only partially knew where he was. Two deep crimson eyes that seemed unfocused but yet aware. He was scanning the lobby with a scowl, confused as to where he was and probably wondering why he was here.

“The family found me,” Sanguine announced, though he looked to the left, opposite as to where Jack was, like he was speaking to someone else. “Tell the others I won’t be home for awhile, but I’ll be back. Will you feed them for me?”

Sanguine stared to the left, though where he was looking had nothing there but a ceramic pot holding an apple tree sapling.

“Thank you, Barry,” Sanguine then said, then he turned to Jack. “Okay, I’m ready to see him.”

Jack tried to force a smile onto his face, but he seemed paralyzed with worry. Not just worry about Sanguine’s mental state but the worry about the ramifications of Sanguine killing Ludo.

Plus the fact I let him fuck me.
As Jack led Sanguine to the elevator a jolt of pain ripped up his backside. Every step was uncomfortable and he could feel the blood and possibly semen soaking into his jeans.
Though that is the one thing I might’ve done right. He got his release and afterwards he listened to me. Typical god damn chimera.

As Jack stared at the elevator doors closing he felt a shudder go through him. His memories brought him back to that heated scene in the abandoned building. Though it was painful and at times rather scary – the energy that had been radiating off of Sanguine as he fucked him had been intoxicating.

It wasn’t casual sex, it wasn’t making love, it was downright fucking – and I might have enjoyed it more than my tempered mind is willing to admit.

Jack glanced to his side and almost smiled in spite of the heavy situation. Sanguine’s face was glaring at the elevator doors, though it wasn’t a scary glare full of malice and hatred, but more of a scowl like he was unimpressed with something.

Jack squeezed Sanguine’s hand and this time he was able to smile. “Silas will be overjoyed to see you, Sanguine. He missed you a lot, the entire family has missed you.”

“Is Jasper going to be there?” Sanguine asked. He scowled further. “I need to prepare myself if he is.”

“Jasper?” Jack said slowly. He racked his memories to try and bring up who he was. Had Sanguine told him during their brief friendship? Before Jack’s fear of Sanguine getting killed by Jack’s brothers forced him to sever whatever it was they had been building?

Another mistake. Why didn’t Silas tell me who Sanguine was before he was killed?

Sanguine looked over at Jack, his red eyes turning grave. “The man who kept me prisoner, who fucked me since I was eight. You know who he is. You guys let him fuck me to – to punish me. You were all… in on it. Were you – in on… it? I don’t–”

Jack put a hand over his mouth as the words stumbled from Sanguine’s lips. He stared at Sanguine in shock as his brother tried to find his words. He was tripping over the most horrible of accusations, like he had a loaded gun in his hand and he didn’t realize he was repeatedly pulling the trigger.

“No… that was… the meth fucking with my brain.” The furrow in Sanguine’s brow deepened. He looked sad and confused. “I don’t know what’s real anymore, do I?”

“Sami…” Jack whimpered, feeling an overwhelming sense of sympathy for Sanguine, and a new sense of understanding. Suddenly Sanguine’s problems, all of the problems Jack had seen inside of him, made perfect sense.

“Yes?” Sanguine answered. The elevator finally stopped and opened, revealing the decorated halls of King Silas’s floor.

“Your family loves you…” Jack whispered. “I… I love you. Jasper isn’t here. Silas might’ve already killed him for all I know. None of the family had anything to do with him – with him keeping you prisoner.”

“You love me?” Sanguine stepped out of the hallway, following Jack’s lead. “I thought you hated me?”

Jack let out a guilty breath and shook his head. “I was trying to protect you. I thought you were just a rather naïve greywaster not… not my brother. Everything’s changed now, things can be different for us if you want.”

There was no time for Sanguine to answer back, halfway to the entrance to Silas’s apartment the double oak doors swung open.

King Silas’s smiled when he saw Sanguine, but when he saw the injuries on the two of them the smile darkened.

“And what did you do to my Sanguine?” Silas said in a tone that made Jack’s chest quake with anxiety. He hadn’t been expecting that reaction at all, though as Jack’s mind did spirals trying to figure out what to say he wondered to himself just what he had been expecting.

“I… I didn’t do anything to him, King Silas,” Jack stammered as he squeezed Sanguine’s hand. “I found him when I was burning the old automotive building – I brought him home because… because, Master, he’s sick.”

“He’s not sick, my beautiful creation was only letting off some steam,” Silas said airily. With a smile he walked up to Sanguine but frowned when he saw the hesitation in Sanguine’s eyes.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” Silas asked slowly. “Aren’t you happy to see me? It’s been months since we last saw each other.”

Sanguine didn’t answer but his body language told its own story. The red-eyed chimera was tense and his face scowling, and he had a look in his eyes that suggested he was talking to the voices that Jack knew Sanguine heard in his head.

“I don’t want to do that,” Sanguine suddenly said.

Silas, who had been raising his hand to touch Sanguine’s face stopped. At the same time Perish, only wearing nightclothes (his shirt was on backwards which suggested Silas had summoned him for the evening), appeared behind the small party.

“No, I can’t… not here, there are too many of them here,” Sanguine said and this time he shook his head. “I don’t even know if this is real life.”

Silas stared at Sanguine, and behind him Perish approached cautiously, his body cowering.

“Master… you didn’t tell me he was this bad,” Perish said in a rapid voice. “You told me he only mumbled to himself. Why didn’t you tell me he was hallucinating?”

“I told you enough,” Silas snapped. “I don’t need you on me about his problems, Elish was bad enough. He was fine when I was killed and he will fucking be fine now. He just needs some time with me.”

“He’s hallucinating…” Perish dropped his voice even lower, in front of the two of them Sanguine continued his conversation with this hallucinations. “This isn’t… Silas, this isn’t normal chimera problems like you told me. This is critically worse.”

“No… it’s not,” Silas said flatly. “And I know what you’re suggesting and you will not bring voice to it. You saw him during his classes, yes? Wasn’t he normal then?”

“The first day he attended school… he got anxiety and left and I overheard him yelling and screaming at things in a janitor’s closet,” Jack spoke up, though his voice was timid and cracking under the weight of his own fear. He knew very well that he was cornering Silas right now, with the help of Perish, the smartest chimera ever created. “He had his normal moments but there were times… when I knew something was deathly wrong with him. King Silas… he did something horrible in that factory…”

“What’s going on here?” Everyone but Sanguine turned around and saw Elish stepping out of the elevator doors. When he eyed Sanguine his face became cold. “So it’s true then? The dog has come home?”

Nausea started bubbling in Jack’s stomach, and in that churning pit he could feel a deep sense of dread. He could almost see a clock on Sanguine’s face, slowly ticking down to what Jack knew would be an explosive event.

“King Silas… this is too much for him,” Jack whispered as Elish approached. “Please, you have no idea the long night he’s had. Let me take him inside.”

Silas glanced at Elish, his own facial expression equally matching the cold glower on Elish’s. There was no mistaking Elish had inherited it from him.

“Yes, go… feed him,” Silas said. “Get out of his way if he gets violent.”

Jack took Sanguine by the hand and led him inside. Kinny was still asleep so Jack led Sanguine into the kitchen and started bringing out tinfoil-wrapped plates of food.

“How do you feel?” Jack asked him, trying to ignore the steadily raised voices that Jack knew was only going to escalate.

Sanguine watched him before letting out a slow breath. “One minute I’m here and I understand what’s going on… and then… my friends come and start telling me conflicting things. They’re reminding me that the family is bad, that – that you guys had been working with Jasper. There was a point just several weeks ago when I was sure that was right and then… and then I get a hold of reality and I know that’s not true.”

“We would never ever work with him, Sanguine,” Jack said, trying to force strength into his words so Sanguine would believe them. “That was your mind playing tricks on you. We’ve been looking for you to bring you home after you got upset over things you’ve learned, and possibly for me… rejecting our friendship.”

Suddenly Sanguine’s eyes widened. He looked at Jack with a shocked expression. “That’s right. You know who I am now don’t you?” Then he put a hand up to his mouth. “I fucking killed Ludo. I killed Ludo.”

“Shhh!” Jack held out his hands and looked behind him, but though Silas, Elish, and Perish had moved their escalating argument over to the sitting room they didn’t hear Sanguine’s admission. “We’re not telling them what happened, okay? Not right now anyways. Don’t even tell them we had sex.”

Sanguine’s face fell, then he stumbled back until he hit the kitchen counter. His hand covered his mouth again, but the stunned expression on his face still shone through.

“Did I rape you?”

“NO!” Jack said loudly. He rapidly shook his head back and forth. “No, no, fuck no and if you ever ask that again I will hit you. We just both got caught up in the moment.” Or Sanguine had gotten caught up in the moment but Jack wasn’t about to admit that.

Sanguine shifted uncomfortably; he rubbed a savage scratch mark on his neck. “My neck and back are scratched to hell…”

“That’s normal for chimeras,” Jack said hastily, because though he had done that to try and inflict the same pain in Sanguine that Sanguine had been inflicting in him he wasn’t about to admit it.

Or admit that at several points in time he had been begging Sanguine to stop because he had been in so much pain, and had even been afraid for his life.

Sanguine would never know.

Never.

“He’s fine! Everyone is fine, everyone is happy!” Silas suddenly snapped from the other room. Both Jack and Sanguine looked over to see Silas, with a look on his face that made Jack take a step back.

The scene spoke for itself. Silas was standing up, his eyes blazing and his posture rigid. Both Elish and Perish were side by side facing Silas, their arms defiantly crossed over their chests and their own eyes cold and unwavering. They both seemed determined to finally get Silas to admit something was wrong with Sanguine. Something that went deeper than just the ramifications of being kept in a basement for so many years.

Silas suddenly looked at Sanguine, and when he saw him Silas smiled and clasped his hands together. An odd, almost crazed and desperate look in his eyes.

“Aren’t you, love?” Silas’s voice dripped honey as he approached Sanguine. Sanguine put his hands on the counter top behind him and looked at the tiled kitchen floor.

The room fell silent but not still. Behind Silas, Elish and Perish walked behind their king, both with equally stormy faces.

Sanguine looked at the king, then at Elish, Perish, and finally Jack.

“King Silas…” Sanguine said. “I did some terrible things tonight.”

Silas only smiled though, before laying a caring hand on Sanguine’s cheek. He stroke the prickly skin softly before saying, in the same sweet voice, “You’re speaking normally, you’re not lashing out. You’re better than I’ve ever seen you, love. You’ve made me so proud.”

“People in real psychosis don’t act crazy twenty-four-seven, Master,” Perish said. “This isn’t normal chimera–”

“Enough!” Silas whirled around and snapped. “Let him speak, Perish.”

“No…” Sanguine shook his head, and gripped the edge of the counters hard. “He’s right… I – Silas, I killed Ludo tonight. I almost raped Jack. I need help.” Jack’s heart broke as Sanguine’s face crumbled into agony. “I don’t know what’s real and what’s inside of my mind. I cut the heads off of two Cypressian’s who took care of me, I sewed their heads to stuffed animals. I did it with several more people and I saw my friends come to life, Silas I saw them.” Sanguine looked up at Silas, his red eyes starting to glisten. “For all I know tomorrow I will fully believe whatever delusions my mind projects to me. My times of sanity are getting fewer and far between. Silas – help me. Please help me before it’s too late.”
