Sin and Desire (23 page)

Anna rolls over onto her back and runs her fingers across Elise’s taut stomach. Elise breathes deeply and closes her eyes. Ted looks over at the clock. He is shocked to discover that it is almost three in the morning. “It’s probably about time we head home.” Anna pouts as Elise stands up. Ted gathers his clothes and dresses leisurely. Sam pulls on a pair of pants, but leaves his shirt off. They all walk out to the living room, where Elise picks up her dress and slides it back on. Anna remains naked, semen dripping down her inner thighs.

“Thank you for a fantastic night.” Elise presses a kiss on Sam’s lips and then to Anna’s lips. She takes Ted’s hand and leads him out of the apartment. Anna closes the door and walks back to the bedroom with Sam. Sam pulls his pants off and gets into bed. Anna climbs into bed, and she chuckles before curling around Sam.

“What’s so funny?” he asks.

“This was all planned. Elise works with me and Ted is her boyfriend.”

Sam’s mouth falls open. “So they weren’t total strangers?”

“Nope! I’m going to see Elise tomorrow at work, but I figured it would be fun for you to think they were total strangers.”

“You’re kidding!”

“Not at all. Elise and Ted swing all the time. I told her about our weekend with Veronica and Ethan and she asked if we’d be interested in getting together. I thought it would be more fun if you thought we’d just met them at the bar.”

Sam presses a kiss to Anna’s cheek. “You’re the fucking dirtiest, most amazing wife ever.”

Anna shrugs and smiles. “I try.”

The Weekend Getaway

"Look what I found," I announced, sloshing the contents of a massive tequila bottle around as I leaned on the doorframe. The collective groan from the trio sitting at the table made me smile, and I ducked back into the kitchen area to grab some shot glasses. We'd already been chugging back beers for most of the day, but I figured it was time to get this weekend getaway
started
.

I mean, we all deserved it. My husband Brad and I worked long hours all week to pay for our new house and a new car, plus the kid we were planning on popping out of me in a few years down the road. Brad had a great job at an investment firm, and my feet killed working my long nursing shifts, but the money coming in between us was pretty great—there just wasn't much time for a social life. We were lucky that two of our closest friends from college, Aubrey and Ethan, bought the house beside us, otherwise we'd probably never have time to see them.

It was Aubrey, who suggested a weekend away. Midsummer rolled in fast this year, and it was her week to have the cottage on the lake she and her family shared. So, while Brad and I took the weekend off to enjoy ourselves, Aubrey the teacher and her firefighter husband Ethan had a whole glorious week ahead of them, filled with nothing but tanning, swimming, and relaxing. I couldn't help but envy them. I'd kill for a full week without twelve hour shifts with grumpy patients and clueless doctors.

So, that was why I planned to make the absolute most out of the two and a half days we had before it was back to the drudgery of the real world. I knew Brad was equally excited about getting away, and we'd spent the afternoon today (Friday) lounging on the docks, swimming in the pristine waters, and enjoying a barbeque dinner courtesy of Ethan. As night crept up, we weighed the pros and cons of a bonfire, and when we eventually decided to go for it, we found the recent rains had left the wood reserves soaked.

Ethan, therefore, suggested we try again tomorrow, and instead we spend the night playing cards, enjoying all the junk food I'd brought up, and getting a little drunk. Now in our late, late twenties, it had been a little while since any of us cut loose. The real adult world really knew how to kick you in the groin once you were done with school, and I couldn't remember the last time either Brad or I had been properly drunk.

The beers were great—the boys had packed some lite ales for Aubrey and I, who insisted beer packed on way too many calories for the amount we'd be drinking this weekend. The beer was cool and refreshing, and while it gave me a hint of a buzz, it wasn't enough to encourage any wild behaviors—and wild behaviors were what this weekend was all about. I'd found the tequila on top of the fridge, pushed to the very back, and thought it would be a fun way to spice up the night.

Aubrey poked her head in the kitchen from the games room, a wicked smile on her lips.

"I brought some vodka too," she whispered loudly to me, wiggling her eyebrows as I smirked. "Tequila makes Ethan sleepy. Vodka makes him
loose
."

"Oh my god, I'm so excited," I gushed, opening up the fridge and finding an unopened bottle of vodka at the back. There were a few things to mix with it, too, which I pulled out begrudgingly. We
weren't
college kids anymore. As much as I wanted to get out-of-my-mind drunk, I knew I couldn't let it go that far—not anymore. The hangover alone from a little light drinking was going to kill me tomorrow, and I fully planned on sleeping until noon.

"You ready to kick this weekend off
officially
," I asked as I sauntered back into the other room. With a table set in the middle and a few cabinets full of dishes, it was the natural place to spend our meals and enjoy a game of cards. A small balcony overlooked the nearby lake, and I'd arrived with the hope of spending some time on it in the early morning hours, with or without Brad, enjoying a cup of coffee with the sunrise. However, with all the alcohol in my arms, I probably wasn't going to be rising at any early morning hour anytime soon—unless I was still awake.

"Can't wait," Aubrey said as she helped unburden me, setting out the bottles of liquor and cans of soda. Then, at the behest of my darling husband, we whipped up a few snacks to go with our new drinks too. Even though we'd chowed down on burgers and homemade fries some two hours ago, the men whined that the alcohol would screw with the stomachs if they didn't eat while drinking.

"A bunch of babies, you are," I teased once I was back in my seat, my hand on Brad's shoulder. I rubbed it affectionately, smiling. "You're not forty. You can still drink, you know."

"I'm not as good at it as I used to be," he argued sheepishly, shuffling our card deck over and over again. "I want to still be at least a little functional tomorrow."

I rolled my eyes as Aubrey laughed and took her seat across from me. From there we distributed the drinks, and amidst the chatter of four good friends, a card game kicked off again. We never bet cash on any of our games, but this time we enforced a few drinking rules to get the night going. One, for example, was if anyone cursed, they'd have to take a shot. Ethan was particularly bad at breaking that rule in the beginning, much to our amusement.

As fun as cards were, there were only so many rounds you could do with the same people before it got a little stale. So, as Brad gathered all the cards to him, I placed my hand on his wrist to stop him from shuffling in order to get my suggestion out: Truth or Dare.

"What are we, fifteen," Ethan asked with a laugh, leaning back in his chair and arching an eyebrow at me. He and Brad were alike in a lot of ways, though, while my husband had more dark features of someone with a Mediterranean heritage, Ethan was as lily white as they came. He was also prone to burning, the poor guy, and already had a light sunburn on his forehead and across the bridge of his nose.

"No, no, I think it'll be fun," Aubrey insisted, giving her husband a quick swat on the arm. "I haven't played in years!"

"Maybe there's a reason for that," Brad muttered, though only I was paying enough attention to him to hear it. Rolling my eyes, I snatched the card deck out of his hand and set it aside, then refilled everyone's drinks. We were pacing ourselves, I talked a big game about getting college-wasted, but as I suspected, we all sipped at our alcohol slowly, each one of us making a face if we were drinking it straight. Times had certainly changed.

"Okay, so we all know the rules," I said, grabbing a handful of chips from the bowl in the middle of the table and cradling them to my chest—it saved me from reaching for the bowl every two seconds. "We'll start with the winner of the last game… So, Aubrey. You can ask anyone truth or dare, and once the task is done, that person carries on and asks someone else."

"Yeah, I think we were all in middle school at some point," Ethan teased, and I shot him a quick scowl. "Anyone who doesn't know the rules to truth-or-dare grew up under a rock."

Rolling my eyes, I looked to Aubrey to kick us off, which she did with an excited twinkle in her eye. As with most games of truth-or-dare, the first few rounds consisted of a lot of truth requests. Favorite color. Which was your worst childhood memory? Would you flirt with a co-worker? Have you? What was the last illicit drug you did? Truths were easy to answer, even if you needed to tell a lie. The more we started drinking, however, the more the truths faded and the real dares came out.

"Anna," Aubrey said, staring me down squarely from across the table. I sat up, sensing there might be a shift in the game at last. The alcohol made me a little looser, but I was nowhere close to drunk. "I dare you… to kiss Ethan's foot."

We both dissolved into a fit of girlish giggles, as if we were actually middle schoolers and I'd just been asked to do the most
obscene
thing possible. I stole a quick glance at my husband, and he shrugged, obviously not caring if I kissed another man's foot. Ethan, on the other hand, looked a little embarrassed as I stood up and headed toward him.

"You don't have to," he started to say, but I held up a finger to silence him.

"It's a dare," I insisted, kneeling down and going for his sandal, "I'm not about to face the punishment of not going through with a dare."

If someone backed out, they'd be forced to drink
everyone
's drinks at the table, no matter how much or how little the person had in their glasses. As of right now, I was in a happy place with my booze: I didn't need any encouragement to pass out.

"Well, I just washed them before dinner," Ethan muttered sheepishly as I pulled his shoe off, "They're clean."

Aubrey leaned over the table to watch me, and when our eyes met, I realized she and I had entered into a little game of our own that the boys weren't privy to. We'd always been competitive, ever since we were in school together. I loved the woman, but damn if we didn't spur each other on to do the craziest things out of sheer want to outdo the other person. My eyebrows flickered up, accepting said challenge, before I leaned down and pressed my lips to the top of Ethan's foot. The skin was smooth and soft, bright white like the rest of him despite spending most of today outside, and, luckily for me, smelled like soap.

I stayed there for a few moments, Brad and Aubrey chuckling, before pulling back and daintily wiping my mouth. Once I was back in my seat, I took another swig of my drink and dared Aubrey to suck Brad's toe: tit for tat, and my dare was crazier.

"Okay, enough feet stuff," Brad laughed once Aubrey had gone through with it. He then dared Ethan to sing the anthem at the top of his lungs, on the balcony, for all our neighbors to enjoy. For a little while, our dares drifted down that road, silly and innocent with a mix of scandal.

Brad was the one who kicked us back to the more sexual aspect of the game when he dared Aubrey to kiss me, passionately, on the table. She and I looked at one another, and without a word, I crawled across the table and kissed her—it wasn't the first time we'd done it, and it probably wouldn't be the last. Her lips were soft and supple, her skin smooth, and I pulled back with a smile, oddly satisfied. Aubrey, meanwhile, had a look in her eye, like she was annoyed I'd stolen the thunder of
her
dare by initiating the kiss.

"Anna," Aubrey said, crossing her arms and sitting back in her chair, staring at me with narrowed eyes. "I dare you… to give Ethan… a hand job."

"What," I balked at the idea, laughing it off as ridiculous. However, the longer I looked at her, the more serious she seemed. Arching an eyebrow, she refilled her glass, then cocked her head to the side.

"Is there something wrong," she asked, "Are you going to back out of a dare?"

Looking to Ethan, he seemed just as stunned as I was, and when I spared a glance at my husband, Brad was frowning. Although I wanted to go toe-to-toe with her, I wasn't about to do anything that made my husband uncomfortable. Or Ethan, I guess, but his feelings weren't as important to me as Brad's.

"Brad?" He looked at me when I said his name, and rather than telling me not to do anything, he merely sat in silence, as if asking if
I
was okay with what had been asked of me. Grinning, I leaned over and kissed his cheek—god, did I ever love him.

"A dare's a dare," I sighed, shrugging and standing like I had no other choice but to walk over to Aubrey's husband and jack him off. Ethan's face had taken on an embarrassed flush, blending his cheeks with the sunburn on his nose, and I raised my eyebrows. We stared at one another for a moment.

Finally, he pushed the chair back to make space for me. "A dare's a dare," he agreed, his voice thick with lust. Oddly enough, the sound encouraged a tingling in my core, a twinge of arousal passing through me as I kneeled down and unbuckled his pants. Much to my surprise, his cock was rock hard when I pulled it out, and I couldn't help but stare for a moment before turning back to Brad. I hadn't been with anyone else since we started dating, and as much as I loved him, a part of me was excited to try something new.
