“Yeah it is.” The view I had right now was
stunning. I knew the Gold Coast was a winner. I’d get in contact
with a realtor as soon as I got the chance.

She shot me a frown. “You’re not looking out
of your window, you’re looking at me.”

“I’ve seen the Gold Coast before. I’ve been
here a lot.”

“Is it all like this?”

“Pretty much. It’s a high tourist place so
it’s kept clean, fresh, and tidy.”

“I’m loving what I’m seeing so far.”

“That’s good. Brand, take the scenic
drive.”

“I’ll go up South Port and around
Labrador.”

We drove around for a good two hours. The
more we saw the more I could see the excitement shine through Jade.
She pointed out everything she liked and her smile got bigger and
bigger. There were lots of parks and boulevards where restaurants
looked either out to the sea or over a bit to the lake. The scenery
was pretty. I pointed out Sea World and we even drove onto the
highway past the other three theme parks.

By the time we pulled into the Meriton
Service Apartments Southport, Jade was bouncing in her seat.

“What I’ve just seen of the city I love. This
place has everything. Now I’m so eager to see the Uni to see if
everything else is perfect.”

We had a winner. I knew if she loved the city
she’d feel the same for the university. Brand parked out front,
letting Jade and I get out. David and Royce stood at the entrance
and held the door as we went in. I went up to reception and got our
keys. Derick would have already booked us in. I knew we’d hired out
the whole top floor, two suites, one for Derick, Jade, and me, the
other for our security.

Royce followed us onto the elevator. “We took
the three bedroom and you’re in the two. We knew Jade would be with
you.” He winked.

It was true, I never slept without Jade. I

to the left and I scanned the key on the door, opening it. We
walked down a small hall leading to a lounge room with a terrace
overlooking the ocean. There was a kitchen to the right along with
a closed door.

“Derick took that room,” Royce said. “He’s in
there now laying down. He’s going out tonight to meet up with your
cousins, Richard and Zeck. They’re up.” I nodded to Royce and he
left. “See ya. Yell or call if need us.”

“You should join Derick and go see your
cousins.” Jade smiled up at me. “I’m just going to relax tonight.
Sit on the balcony and study, then read and enjoy the view.”

“Come with us. You’re invited.”

“I’m sure, but you go have fun. I’m going to
have a relaxing night here.” She went to our bedroom door and
opened it squealing with joy when she saw it. “It has the view too.
And look at this huge bed.” Jade got on the bed and I laughed when
she jumped up and down, my laugh turned into a groan when I noticed

“Want to come join me in the shower?” I

“Go shower.” She got off the bed and went to
her bag pulling out her eReader, then went to the balcony and sat
on a sofa. Pulling my phone from my pocket I called Zeck to tell
him I’d be joining them tonight.

Last night had been fun but I was regretting
it this morning. The university said they were sending someone over
to show us around. They were eager to have the Silverman kids at
the university. They knew they’d get money if we chose it.

The alarm had gone off and I’d dozed back to

room shaking me. “Stephan, you’re late. I’m going to go down with
Derick, Owen, and Royce to meet who the university brought around
and we’ll talk to him and have breakfast, well brunch while we wait
for you.”

pressing my morning boner against her. “How about Derick and Owen
go down and keep the guy company while you help wake me up.”

We can’t be rude.” She glided off me and I reluctantly let her go.
“I’ll see you downstairs.”

“Sure.”

Jade left and I got up, did my morning
business, got dressed and felt refreshed and ready for the day. I
was looking forward to seeing Griffith University, and Zeck had
given me and Brand a couple of great real estate agents. I knew
Brand was out today starting the search.

Going down to the lobby, I went into the
restaurant and saw Derick and Jade with two guys in their twenties.
They were all chatting happily. I told the maître d I was the last
Silverman to join the table at the back.

“Hey, Sis, look who finally decided to join
us.” Derick winked at Jade.

Glancing down at my watch I saw I was almost
an hour late.

forehead and went to sit when everyone stood.

“Stephan, this is Ben.” Derick pointed to the
blond. “And the other guy is Mathew.”

“Hi.” I held out my hand and they each shook
it.

“Now we’ve been introduced we can go,” Derick
said.

I followed them out of the restaurant and to
the front of the hotel. Owen had the BMW and we climbed in, while
the two guys from the university got into their new white Commodore
Holden

“Ben has been telling me all about the
university. He said all the courses I’m interested in are in the
same block as the social media. He’s doing communications and in
his last year of his masters.”

I tuned Jade out as she talked on and on
mentioning this Ben guy over and over. Had I only been an hour
late? I listened in and out as she gushed about everything Ben had
told her. The twenty-minute ride made me wonder what the hell was
going on. I felt like I missed something.

We got out of the car and Jade was bouncing
with excitement.

“Isn’t it great? It’s clean, well maintained,
and really big.”

We’d taken a detour and drove around the
campus before stopping at the most central area.

Smiling at her enthusiasm, I tried to steal a
kiss when Ben and Mathew came between us.

“Mathew and I were talking and since your
courses are all different, I thought I’d take Jade around and
Mathew would show you and Derick.”

I snarled at Ben and opened my mouth to tell
him no when Jade grinned from ear to ear and butted in.

“Sounds perfect. Let’s go. What I’ve seen so
far is great.”

David stood beside them and Jade walked off
with Ben before I could say anything. Derick burst out laughing
with Owen joining in. Mathew stared at them both like they were
crazy.

“Oh my God.” My brother chuckled. “I wonder
if Ben has any idea he’s a dead man.”

Owen smacked me on the back. “I told David to
keep his mouth shut. I so want to watch this play out.”

I pushed his hold off and turned on my
brother and bodyguard. “Fuck you two.” I glared at Owen. “I should
fire you.”

The idiot laughed harder. “I’d like to see
you try.”

I shook my head and turned my glare on
Mathew. “Come on, let’s get this tour over with so I can get back
to my girl.”

Mathew raised his eyebrow. “Derick said she
was your sister. He introduced her as his sister.”

I shot a death stare at my chuckling brother
before turning back to Mathew. “Derick calls her sis, because Jade
is my girl. When I can convince her she’ll be my wife.”

“Argh, I should call Ben,” Mathew got his
phone out and Owen yanked it off him.

“No way. You’re not spoiling all my fun. I
want to see if princess will figure out your guy is hitting on her.
And I wanna see his…” Owen nodded in my direction, “reaction when
we meet up later.”

“Princess.”

“Jade,” Derick said. “It’s what our security
detail calls her because of how he and the family treat her.”
Derick pushed me. “Let’s go. Stop you’re sulking. We’ll see her in
a couple of hours. David is with her and Rex is somewhere. You
trust her, don’t you?”

“Of course I trust her. It’s just the Ben guy
I don’t.”

“David and Rex won’t let anything happen to
her. Let her have fun. You know Jade has no idea the guy is hitting
on her. She’s way too excited about being here.”

Fuck. Derick was right. I hated it when my
brother was right. Reluctantly I motioned for the tour to start and
I followed behind Derick and Mathew just wanting to get this over
with.

felt. I’d gotten a phone call an hour ago telling me she’d seen
everything and was going back to the hotel with Ben. They were
looking over some forms two of the teachers had given her
guides.

As soon as I got the call I was through with
my own tour. No way was I leaving my girl with Ben any longer. I
left my group and went back to the cars. I’d been enjoying the tour
until I’d gotten the call. I’d told Jade no, but she’d laughed it

Royce sat in the Land Cruiser waiting for me
when I got to the car park.

“Owen called me. Let’s go.”

I got into the passenger seat.

“I know how you are with her, kid, but

her, she thinks he’s just being nice. Princess has no idea how

Sighing, I closed my eyes and calmed myself.
Royce was correct. I needed to calm myself down before I went into
the hotel and said or did something I’d regret.

The ten-minute drive seemed to take forever.
Royce dropped me out front and I called Jade to see where she was.
“Hey, little bit. Where are you? I just got here.”

“That’s good. I’m just standing in the lobby
talking.”

Spotting them as I entered the hotel lobby, I
ended the call and my calm vanished. Ben was touching Jade’s arm
and the look on his face was like a piece of candy had just been

Reaching them, I pulled Jade away from him

I listened as she told me about her tour and

The elevator opened and I pressed the button
to our penthouse suite. When the elevator doors closed I eased Jade
