Stranger at the beach house (17 page)

I
had never felt so desired, so on fire for someone.

“I wish we were in bed, Sam, or at least in
private,” I whispered in his ear.

“That’s it. We’re out of here, Sweetheart. I
don’t know how I’ve fucking got through today as it is,” he said firmly, taking
me aback with the aggression in his tone.

“We
can’t go yet, Dave and Lizzie have come all this way. I am not abandoning
them,” I said equally as firmly.

“We’ll dance and then we go,” he replied and
it was not a question.

“I
like it when you’re all forceful,” I giggled as he pierced my gaze, smirking at
me.

“You
might regret saying that, Lady”. From the smouldering look on his face I
seriously doubted it, and my whole body quivered as he gripped my hand and led
me down to the crowded dance floor.

God
he could move and he was getting plenty of attention. It had been OK when we
were tucked away in the corner, there had been lots of passing glances but here
in the epicentre of the club there was no escaping it. I couldn’t blame them, I
couldn’t take my eyes of him myself as he pulled me close, the killer smile
just about flooring me completely as I felt the hardness of his body grinding
against me and now it was me who couldn’t wait.

As
the pounding beats merged effortlessly from one tune to the next, so did Sam
and I was grateful when Lizzie beckoned us off the dance floor indicating they
were ready to go. Joy and Harry must be desperate too I smiled to myself as
they joined us, holding on to each other tightly and beaming.

“We’re
sorry, guys,” smiled Dave apologetically.

“We are so out of practice since we had
Alfie
. We are normally tucked up in bed for ten,” giggled
Lizzie, stumbling slightly in her heels. “I promise I’ll raise my game for next
Saturday. I’m so happy you’re coming,” she grinned, moving to hug me tightly as
I hugged her back.

“It’s
OK we’re ready to go ourselves,” I smiled, glancing at Sam.

“You have no fucking idea how ready,
Sweetheart,” he whispered, ushering us into the waiting minibus. I didn’t know
when he’d arranged that.

“I
think this may well be the first unbroken sleep we’ll have had in months,
Dave,” said Lizzie, snuggling against her adoring husband.

“In that case we’ll stay at mine. I don’t want
to be responsible for disturbing that. Come over for breakfast whenever you’re
ready, Rose hasn’t shopped,” Sam said decisively.

“Joy’s staying at yours too, Sam,” Harry
quipped as my friend flashed a grin at me, and by the time we pulled up to the
house my anticipation of what was to come set my champagne fuelled body alight
as I fumbled for my keys. Lizzie was already asleep and Dave carried her to the
door as Sam let them into my house. I followed Harry and Joy as they mumbled
‘Goodnight’, laughing and disappearing off into Sam’s guestroom.

I wasn’t waiting either I thought, longing for
Sam as I sat on his beautiful big white bed, my breath catching as he came
through the door staring at me, his bright blue eyes on fire. “Fuck, Rose,
you’re beautiful,” he said striding towards me, his moist lips parted and
breathing heavily as he slipped the thin straps of the naked dress from my
shoulders, letting it pool around my ankles as I stood there waiting for his
touch.

I
gasped at the sight of his hard chiselled abdomen as he removed his shirt and
the words tumbled out, uncensored, “you’re perfect”. He smiled down at me,
unclipping my strapless bra and removing the rest of his clothes quickly,
finishing with my white lace panties as he slid them down my thighs in a single
movement.

“That’s
closer,” he growled as our mouths crashed together and the motion was frantic,
the pent up sexual need of the day pouring out as we caressed and grasped and
pulled at each other in our desperate longing. Before I knew what was happening
I was on the bed, clawing at the sheets as Sam pounded into my soaking core and
I was lost, relishing the weight of his hard body on top of me, his tongue
possessing my mouth as waves of pleasure consumed me and I bucked and writhed
against him. He absorbed my cries with his firm mouth, hot demanding kisses
unrelenting as our raw need merged and nothing else mattered except each other.
I felt my muscles clench around him as he drove me on from one orgasm to the
next, each bigger and more forceful than the last. I was gasping, my swollen mouth
open, searching for him as he finally pulled back, holding my gaze and
shuddering with an almighty force that knocked the breath from my lungs,
filling me with everything he had as I quivered beneath him.

He
pulled me hard against him as we climbed under the covers, my legs over his and
my arms over his chest.

“So do you still
think ‘I’ll do’,” he chuckled, gripping me possessively.

“No Sam,” I smiled, gloriously satisfied,
utterly content and ever so slightly tipsy. “Joy was right. I think you’re a God”.

“And you’re a Goddess,” he smiled, holding me
tightly and for the first time in my life I actually felt like one.

Chapter 15

The
morning began as the night had ended, curled around Sam and devouring his
delicious solid form with my eyes as he slept. He looked young, peaceful and
relaxed in his sleep and as I saw his mouth curve into a beautiful smile, I
knew that he could sense me watching him. I kissed him hard and he flipped me
onto my back as I gasped and giggled. He hadn’t even opened his eyes. “Good
morning, Sweetheart,” he whispered, kissing my neck tenderly as I felt the huge
length of his erection, stirring against my thigh.

“I
like waking up with you, Baby, it saves me having to wait,” he said silkily and
sexily and I began to feel the familiar need, a small moan escaping my lips as
he curled his tongue around my erect nipples, his morning glory pressing
persistently into me. I shuddered in delight, slightly discomforted by the fact
that I had a very full bladder that he was exerting slightly too much pressure
on as I winced.

“What’s
the matter?” he grinned, looking at me as if he knew exactly what the matter
was.

“I need to pee,” I sniggered as he raised his
eyebrows, smirking at me.

“Oh no you don’t.
You’ve got to trust me on this one. Sex on a full bladder is really intense,”
he said and I frowned at him, not entirely sure I believed him, or whether he
was just putting his impatience ahead of my comfort. “Honestly, Rose,” he
whispered, kissing the sensitive spot on my neck and circling my clit gently
until I all but forgot about my other, less interesting urges.

Mmmmm
.
I trust you,” I smiled, desperate to feel him as he entered me in one swift
movement, rocking against my clit and filling me to the hilt.

I
moaned underneath him, revelling in the exquisite feeling of his body merging
with mine as he increased the pressure gradually and slowly until I was gone,
focusing only on the wonderful sensation of his huge cock as he thrust harder
and deeper into me until there was no space left between us. I could feel every
delicious inch, every pulsing vein as I clenched tightly around him, waves of
pleasure beginning to form as he fucked me relentlessly, powerful and deep and
every nerve was alight with the force and the fullness of him as he possessed
my body completely.

“I
want you to come, Baby,” he said firmly, increasing the power of his thrusts
against me, tipping my hips as I cried out in ecstasy, responding to his words.
His low groans and his touch unravelled me as the deep sensations of pleasure
took hold, rocketing through my body and gripping me in an intense and erotic
overload that devoured me whole, rendering me useless to anything that was
happening around me, hearing only Sam’s breathing and curses as he pulsed
inside me, warming me from the inside out.

It
took me a while to come down from the dazed euphoria and the deep sensations
that had gripped my body, as I opened my eyes to find him gazing down at me,
smiling gently. “See,” he laughed and I nodded my response.

“You were right, Baby, but now I really have
to pee,” I muttered, shoving him off me as I rushed to the bathroom and shut
the door. Highly satisfied and more than a little embarrassed.

Everyone
except Lizzie, who apparently was still asleep and making the most of baby
Alfie’s
absence was on the patio when we walked out and
Harry had organised breakfast, coffee and fresh tea which he was serving on a
large table outside under the crisp autumnal sun. He was sporting the biggest
grin, topped with the biggest black bags under red rimmed eyes and I couldn’t
help but laugh. Joy looked little better despite the obvious use of a rather
thick
concealer
. “Morning,” said Sam brightly as we
moved towards the steaming coffee pot, with a look on his face that suggested
he’d had the same thoughts as me.

“Morning,” mumbled Joy, sheepishly biting her lip which was
strangely endearing for a girl who wasn’t known for her shyness.

“Good night?” I chuckled, raising my eyebrows
first at her and then at Harry. She didn’t answer, beckoning me across with a
clandestine glance as I moved to the corner of the patio where she was resting
on the cushions of Sam’s beautiful chair swing. I sat beside her; rocking it as
she got up and stood in front of me looking all of a sudden slightly puce.

“You’re making me feel sea sick, Rose,” she
said, swallowing hard and sipping on her coffee as I swung my legs harder and
laughed.

“So did you have a good night then?” I
whispered, unable to wait for the dirty details of her first tryst with Harry.

She
was grinning broadly and her face had returned to its normal colour.
“Absolute fuck-a-thon, Rose.
The guy is hung like a
stallion, totally gorgeous and how the hell have I not seen this before?” she
said as I tried to give her a warning stare to be quiet, looking at her, then
behind her to silently warn her that we weren’t alone. But Joy was on a roll,
and when Joy was on a roll, well......there was only one outcome.
Pure mortification.

“He
is honestly the best shag I have ever had. I don’t know what the fuck Jon was
doing all these years, but I can tell you, Rose, he wasn’t doing THAT. At one
point he went so deep that I didn’t know whether I was fucking him or blowing
him off. Seriously, I swear I could feel him in my throat,” she said, still not
taking my hints despite my wild gesticulations and carried on regardless. “Hung
like
a horse...” and I had to put an end to it.

“Sam,”
I gleamed, staring at Joy wide eyed as she finally caught on, flushing
furiously and for the first time realising the presence of
Harry’s
best friend behind her as she hit him with a steely glare.

“Did you hear that conversation?” she asked,
more than a little annoyed.

Nayyy
,” he laughed doing a horse impression, passing me a
coffee as I chuckled, and wandering back over to Harry and Dave at the other
end of the patio before Joy turned her no less steely glare on me.

“You
could have fucking warned me, Rose,” she said as I shook my head and rolled my
eyes.

“He
won’t say anything,” I shrugged rather unconvincingly as we simultaneously
turned to look at the boys who were whispering, before Harry looked at Joy
sporting the biggest grin I had ever seen and I couldn’t stifle my giggles.

“Fuck, fuck,
fuckity
-fuck
fuck,” she mumbled under her breath before storming back into the house. It
wasn’t long before Harry followed her.

Sam
and Dave were deep in a rather serious looking conversation as I took the
opportunity to watch him. He was so beautiful it was almost impossible not to.
I had come here to rebuild my life and been swept away on the most amazing
sexual and emotional rollercoaster I had ever experienced and was already in
deep, too deep probably.

This
man had secrets, a ‘situation’ and I still knew next to nothing about him. I
was staring when he turned and pulled the killer smile and all thought
vanished. That was one hell of a weapon I smiled to myself, turning to see
Lizzie emerge from my front patio and looking significantly better than the
rest of us.

“What
a great sleep,” she smiled, reaching for a mug of tea and a croissant, “the sea
air always does that to me,” she smiled broadly as Dave laughed.

“I think it was probably more to do with the
cocktails and gallon of champagne you put away, my Darling,” he replied,
putting his arm around her and kissing her head. “We have to go and get
Alfie
soon,” he said, looking at me regretfully. It had
been wonderful to see them and their visit all too short.

“Could
I speak to you before you go, Lizzie?” Sam asked as I pulled a puzzled frown at
him. He smiled back before guiding Lizzie and her hot mug of tea down the small
steps and onto the beach as they walked towards the shore, away from prying
ears and deep in a conversation that looked surprisingly serious. I looked at
Dave who didn’t seem to think it odd at all and I wondered if he knew something
I didn’t.

“What’s
that about then, Dave?” I asked as he shrugged his shoulders.

“Maybe he’s trying to get the best friends
seal of approval,” he said, his eyes looking everywhere but at me. Dave was
lying and it was easy to tell because Dave was a really shit liar.

“There’s something you’re not telling me,
Dave,” I said as he started to walk away.

“I
need to get the bags,
Rose,
I’ll be back in a tick. We
really need to get
Alfie
before lunchtime, I promised
Lizzie’s mum”. What was it about everyone keeping things from me lately? I
hadn’t even had a chance to tell them about the letters and Sam and Lizzie were
way down the huge expanse of sand now, standing at the water’s edge and looking
no less serious than they had before.

I
walked into the kitchen and caught the tail end of Joy and
Harry’s
conversation and I couldn’t help but laugh. It turned out that despite her
‘fuck-a-thon’, Joy still hadn’t had enough and was taking Harry to show him her
dream apartment and it didn’t take a genius to guess what that would entail.

Establishing
that he’d be leaving on Monday morning again, I said my goodbyes to Harry and
Joy, knowing that I’d see him later and made my way outside, just as Sam and
Lizzie were coming up the steps from the beach and both were smiling broadly. I
couldn’t help but smile back, ecstatic that they got on so well and Sam was
clearly charming my friends.

“We
need to get going, Babe, I’ve already put the bags in the car,” Dave smiled at
his wife. I couldn’t help my disappointed face, but they had to pick up
Alfie
and still had a hell of a drive to London.

“Thanks for coming, it was fabulous to see you
both,” I said, hugging Dave and then Lizzie who smiled at me brightly.

“I’d feel a lot worse if you weren’t coming to
London next week end. Shopping and parties, it’ll be just like the old days,”
she smiled, leaning in to whisper in my ear. “I love the
hottie
,
Rose, he’s a keeper,” she said and I had to agree. I couldn’t have put it
better myself.

I
poured another coffee and resumed my position on the swinging chair as Sam sat
down beside me when our guests had left, pulling me in as I rested my head on
his shoulder and I couldn’t stave off my curiosity. “What were you and Lizzie
talking about on the beach, Sam?” I asked as he kissed the top of my head.

“I was just passing on some contacts in the
publishing industry. I know some people who will help her out,” he said,
pacifying me as I watched the ebb and flow of the tide, very comfortable and
extremely happy.

The
rest of the afternoon was chilled and relaxed as he told me he’d passed on the
details of my father’s letters to his contacts at the agency he used through
work, and I established that he really did want me to update his winter
wardrobe at Harrods on Thursday. As I wouldn’t accept any payment, he would buy
me a dress for Saturday and update the rest of my wardrobe too. I’d tried to
argue but he’d shut me down with a barrage of kisses and tickles until I
conceded.

Harry
came back after a good few hours looking more than a little exhausted and very
content. “I’ll get off and let you two have some boy time,” I said as Sam
pouted and Harry nodded. He was clearly keener for a heart to heart with his
friend sans female company than Sam was.

“I’ll see you in the morning then,” he
frowned, pulling me in for a heart stopping kiss as I shook my head.

“No
can do, Sam, I’m busy tomorrow,” I said, which caused the frown to deepen and
the pouting to reach a whole new level.

“What
are you doing?” he asked, clearly not happy and I couldn’t help but laugh as I
raised my eyebrows at him.

“Stuff,” I said simply, as his pout turned
into a small smirk and he narrowed his eyes at me.

“What stuff?” he asked firmly.

“I’ve got a meeting with my lawyers,” I
smiled, biting my lip to stifle the giggle that was threatening in my throat.

“About what?” he asked, completely
unamused
, unlike Harry who was grinning broadly at our
little exchange.

“Like I said, stuff,” I replied, flouncing out
and whistling for Dart who followed me loyally next door.

He
wasn’t the only one who could keep secrets and it wasn’t a lie. I had an
appointment with Alice’s solicitor for the reading of her will and I wasn’t
looking forward to it. I’d put it off for weeks. While I knew there would be no
surprises, it was just another practical and undeniable reminder that she was
gone, and a night in the house alone with my thoughts was exactly what I needed
right now.
