“Whatever you think, darling.” Grabbing her arm, he started to pull her towards the front door.

“Hey, let me go. I’m not going anywhere with you!” she screamed at him.

“Yes, you are.”

Joel, Brandon and one of the other boys stood in front of Joey, stopping him in his tracks. “I wouldn’t even think about it, boys,” Joey growled at them.

Typical Joel, he was the one to step forward. “She doesn’t want to go with you. And she came here tonight to spend time with me and my boys,” he said with a smirk.

“I really don’t care what she wants, but she isn’t staying here with you lot. That is for damn sure.” Joey pulled on her arm again, moving past the boys.

She had never seen this side of him, and although it was sexy as shit, it still pissed her off that he was dragging her out of the bar.

“Can you please let go, I’m not a child!”

“Well, stop bloody acting like one,” he grunted.

The boys followed her outside as Joey continued pulling her towards his truck.  She stumbled several times, but righted herself.

Joey stood with his back to her front as he unlocked the door.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw someone walk up beside her and stand on Joey’s left, as someone grabbed her from behind and pulled her back.

“Joey.”

He spun around, and as he did, Brandon threw a punch straight to his face, connecting with his jaw. Growling, he pushed Brandon back away from him, as one of the other guys came forward.

She didn’t want them to fight. “Let me go!” she screamed.

“Sorry, darling. Not happening.” She couldn’t remember the guy’s name, but he creeped her out when she first met him. She slammed her heel down on his foot, and he let her go as he fell backwards from the impact. Running up to the guy now fighting with Joey, she jumped on his back, thumping him as hard as she could to stop what was going on.

Joey tackled the guy, pushing him into his truck, with her still on him. Her back slammed against the front end of the truck, making her groan at the pain that shot through her body. The guy’s head fell back and connected with hers, leaving her dazed at what happened.

Releasing him, she slid to the ground. Her head was pounding from the hit. Movement was still happening around her, but she could not see who was where. The dizziness came out of nowhere.

“Joey.”

Someone knelt in front of her. “Chantal.”

Opening her eyes, she could only just make out Wazza, kneeling in front of her. “You need to stop them, Waz.”

After what felt like God knows how long, someone lifted her up. Curling into the heat of the body carrying her, she picked up Joey’s scent. “Sorry,” she mumbled.

“Nothing to be sorry about, babe. Wasn’t your fault.”

She heard a door open and Joey placed her on a soft surface. She heard people talking but couldn’t make out exactly what they were saying. Her name was mentioned several times, so was Dom’s name. The last thing she remembered hearing was the door closing beside her as everything went black.

oey heard the crowd out in the bar, but he didn’t want to be out there. As the hours went by and he had nothing more to do in the office, he walked out to the main bar, and pulled to a complete stop.

Chantal was dancing against the main post in the building for several of the guys.
What the hell was she thinking?
As he approached, all the guys around the table moved in front of her. She was seriously going to get her ass spanked, that was for sure.

She should not have been there. He needed to get her out of there, before Dom found out what she was doing.

He didn’t like the fact that he dragged her out of the bar, towards his truck, but it was the only way to get her out of there. The only other way would have been to throw her over his shoulder like a caveman, but he knew that wouldn’t have gone down well, either.

He knew the guys with her followed them out of the bar, but was surprised when one of them punched him. That pissed him off, badly. As he was wrestling with one of them, Chantal jumped on his back, as he tackled him. Her heard her groan as she hit his truck, and watched in shock as the guy’s head connected with Chantal’s.

Her body slid off of him to the ground and all he saw was red. He could not stop the punches that he was throwing at the guy, until someone came up and pulled him away from him.

“Stop, Chantal doesn’t look too good,” the guy said to him.

Breathing heavy, he tried really hard to control it, but as he glanced Chantal’s way and saw her leaning against his truck, he was ready to kill them all. Moving past the guy that stopped him, he knelt down and lifted her up in her arms.

This is where he wanted her to be, but it was never going to happen, so he had to suck it up and accept whatever she would give him.

As he sat her in his truck, he turned around and pulled out his phone. He wasn’t looking forward to the conversation with Dom, telling him exactly what happened tonight.

“Is Chantal going to be alright?”

He frowned at the guy. “Who are you?”

“My name is Wazza.”

“What do you want with her?”

“She is only a friend, dude. I don’t bat that way.”

Ok, now he understood. “She will be once I get her home and with Dom.” He looked up his number, ready to dial.

“Who is Dom?”

“She belongs to him, Wazza. And he is going to be bloody pissed at what happened tonight.”

Lifting his phone to his ear, he waited for him to answer. No such luck—voicemail.

“It’s Dom, I’m not available right now, leave a message and I’ll get back to you when I can.”

Joey listened for the ungodly beeping sound, before he spoke into the phone. “Dom, I need you to call me back as soon as you get this message. Something went down at the bar tonight that you need to know about.”

Damn it, he did not want to tell Dom face to face. Turning around, he told the guy, “Wazza, I don’t have a problem with you, but if you want to be around Chantal, you will need to talk to Dominic. He is one possessive bastard.”

He nodded. “Ok. I can do that.”

“You will need to make it clear to him that you are gay. I don’t know if that will help, but it won’t hurt to tell him straight up.”

“Yep. Will do.”

“I’m going to get her home before any of the other guys that came with you want to have a go. I tell ya, you’re all lucky Dominic wasn’t here.”

Closing her door, he walked around and hoped in on his side. Looking over at her, he really hoped she was ok. He reached his hand out and moved her hair out of her face. She didn’t move or say anything. Turning on his side, he tapped her on the cheek. “Chantal?”

Still nothing. “Chantal?”

“Leave me alone,” she mumbled.

There she was. Starting the truck, he drove away from his bar, knowing full well tonight was going to be a long ass night.

Chapter 35

––––––––

C
hantal woke to someone banging on her door; well she hoped it was her door. As she sat up, her head throbbed. She remembered going to the bar last night, and a game of pool with Wazza, but after that, nothing.

Standing as best she could, she wobbled to her bedroom door.
Damn, how much did I drink last night?

The pounding on the door was getting louder. “Shit, I’m coming. Hold your horses.”

She swore it took her forever to get to her front door and open it. “Hell, Chantal. You look like shit,” Skylar said as she walked inside.

“Trust me, I feel it.”

Sitting down at her breakfast bench, she waited for the coffee machine to brew. “What did you do last night?” Skylar asked.

“I remember going to the bar. Drinking, and playing a game of pool with Wazza.”

“Who is that?”

“Wazza?”

Skylar nodded.

“He is a friend of Joel’s.”

“Ok. So you went out last night, and only can remember so much, right?”

She had blurry images, but couldn’t make out what they were. “Yep. My mind is blank. Damn, where is my phone.”

Maybe there was something there. She tipped the contents out of her bag onto the couch, flicking stuff here and there, until she finally found it. Sitting down, she swiped the screen on front and nothing.
What?

She tried again, and still nothing was coming up. Shit, she forgot to charge it last night. And thinking of last night, why hadn’t Dom come over like he said. He did say he was coming over after his meeting that is why she went to the bar with Joel, to kill some time. But after that, she seriously could not think. Maybe he did come over and left early this morning. She wouldn’t know if he had been in her bed. He never left anything behind, nothing, zilch.

Standing up sort of wobbly, she walked the best she could into her room, and yelled back at Skylar. “Need to charge my phone. Then we can go through my options for tonight.”

Once the charger was in, she walked over towards her closet and removed all her choices for tonight. Just thinking about it made her giddy.

With everything laid out and coordinated, so it was easy to tell what went with what, she grabbed Skylar and they both came back into her room. Skylar sat down in the only chair and watched as Chantal dressed in one item at a time.

It came down to three outfits; they had changed a top from one pile and pants from another to make the last three. After four hours of disliking, changing and adding, the perfect outfit for the night was done. They settled on knee-high red boots, a short black skirt with slits up both thighs—easy access—and the top was a dark purple piece of material that covered her front and tied together with an elastic string across the back.

Pretty easy to tear away from my body
. She giggled. Everything to do with the outfit was easy. Looking at the clock, she had still several hours to go before she could even think about getting ready.

They both had decided on going over certain sites, to find more lingerie for her store. Having Skylar’s help was a definite plus. The knowledge she had from Stacy’s shop had helped her a great deal. After only being open for a short time, she had established an amazing clientele, with the help of course from her mother, which both her and Skylar knew. Plus with Stacy closing down, all of her clients had come her way.

She loved every moment of it so far. She had never thought that it would be anything like this. But it was more than what she had dreamed of. When she had spent way past her budget, which she did not care, it was close enough to the time she needed to get ready. After saying goodbye to Skylar, she jumped in the shower, not missing an inch of her body with her scented wash, and shaved her legs and tidied up her between her thighs.

She needed to make an appointment to see the beautician at the end of the week. She would have done it already but knew full well having sex or any kind of sexual activity after being waxed hurt like a bitch.

Standing in her room, in only her thong, she switched on her phone. As it came alive, there were several text messages from Joel, one from Wazza, and a voicemail from Dom. She hit the retrieve button and waited to listen.

Hearing his voice over her phone sent all kinds of feelings through her. She had to replay the message, as she was too busy daydreaming to hear what he said.

“Chantal, I need to head back to the office, something has come up. Will make it up to you when I get back to your place.”

Hearing the message one more time, she realised it was left at 5:32 p.m. Ok, so she was at her shop at that time. Why didn’t it come through like all the others? Oh well, she would just leave a note for him when she left. Although he was the one that got the invitation for her to the party, she wanted to leave something special for him before he joined her there.

Once she was completely dressed, she touched up her make up, and was extremely happy with her appearance. She grabbed her writing pad from her room and left a sexy but innocent note for Dom to find when he arrived at her place, if he did.

Since she looked fuckin' hot, she took a quick picture of herself and saved it to her phone to send to Dom when she arrived at the club for tonight’s events.

To say she was excited, as she waited for the cab to show, was an understatement. All her nerves were alive; her body hot, thoughts on what Dom could possible do to her in private, or public, had her blood pumping. She wasn’t into public displays, but after the last time she was inside of the club, she had thought different of it.

There was no reason to be scared about doing anything like that in front of a bunch of people. No one judged anyone, they were all there to enjoy themselves not cop shit from some person not liking what was happening around them. If by any chance something did happen, they were removed as several people she had asked had told her.

As the cab pulled up out front of her home, she looked back, smiling. She knew that Dom would not take long to find her when he read his letter. Slipping into the cab, she relayed where she was going, and sat back and waited patiently to arrive.

She was contemplating the level of excitement she felt, and whether it rivalled other significant, exhilarating events in her life. Not knowing what was going to happen thrilled her to no end. She knew to some extent what Dom was capable of, but she wanted him to show her his complete self, nothing less. Maybe she would have to push his buttons tonight to get him to release the full force of his true nature. She wanted, no needed it from him.

She didn’t want what he was already giving her, she wanted it all, completely and utterly all he could possible give her—
everything
.

om felt like shit as he left Elite, Inc. He had spent the whole night on his couch in his office. He rubbed his neck as he made his way to his truck, knowing he should have left a lot earlier than he was. It wasn’t meant to take so long, looking for the missing files. And of course, they were
missing
. He had no clue as to where they were or if someone had placed them somewhere different.

Lee Anne and himself had gone through every file they had on all their clients, he had even called Rachel and asked if she had any clue as to where the folders were. After hours of going through everything, they could, and frustrated as hell with this shit, he found the USB backup that he had made, months ago.
