Taming Graeme (Taming the Billionaire) (34 page)

“How long will it take to box it?”

“Not long, it’s just stuffed in a filing cabinet. Maybe ten minutes?”

“Why don’t you and James go back there and do that now?”

“I will.”

“Call me when you’re on the way back home again, ‘Livi.”

Olivia tapped James on his shoulder. “James, could we turn around and go back to the Bank, please?  Graeme wants me to gather some information up and bring it home...”

Twenty minutes later, she hit speed dial and was talking to London.

“Done, Graeme. We found some cardboard boxes in the back of the office. James and I took the records I want to preserve and they’re in the boot of the Rolls now. I took some eight and nine year old files, took them out of their folders and stuffed them where the records we saved were stored, just in case Tim decides to get rid of them. Can you imagine, they are so badly organized that nothing has ever gone down to Archives! I wonder if they even have an Archive Department.”

“I couldn’t ask for better than you’re doing, ‘Livi. You are truly amazing. You never let me down, do you?

“How are you feeling, pet? This must be very stressful.”

“I’m surprised at what a good actress I am, Sir. How inventive I am.”

“That sounds promising, pet for our sex life...”

“Hmmm...I look forward to playing some roles opposite you, Sir.”

“Me too, Baby. In fact, I’ve got one in mind. You can be an Egyptian slave, and I’ll be a Pharaoh.”

Olivia giggled. “Why can’t I be Cleopatra and you my slave?”

Graeme laughed. “Nice try, ‘Livi, but no. But you could be Cleopatra and I’ll be Marc Antony. I’m sure he was a Dom and she was his sub...”

They laughed together.

“Enjoy your dinner, kitten.”

“I will, I’m famished. Mrs. Green is such a wonderful cook. She’s been surprising me every evening with a traditional Irish meal.”

“Do you remember Gideon?”

“The Head of Security? Of course.”

“I’ll get him come in the morning. He’ll meet you when you arrive at the Bank. Give him the backup. He’ll examine it and decide if he’s bringing it back here or going to take it straight to the Fraud Squad in Belfast. He was with the Army there during the troubles, and knows the police well. He’s already talked to a friend of his at Headquarters and advised them we’ve possibly uncovered some wrongdoing.”

“Will do.”

“Don’t work on your course tonight, pet. Today’s been enough stress for you. Relax, read, and listen to some music. Enjoy all those erotic stories on your kindle and think of me, doing those things to you.”

“I loaned my kindle to Linda so she could read the one about the girl collaring the headmaster.”

Graeme laughed. “I’ll have to tell Michael to read your kindle.”

“I...I do miss you, Sir.”

Graeme’s voice became soft and tender. “And I miss my little kitten, curled up beside me.”

“I miss that, too, Sir, but I miss…other things as well.”

“Other things, what other things, kitten?”

“I miss my lips on your cock…”

“I miss your lips on my cock as well, kitten, what else?”

“I miss your lips on my pussy, Sir, your tongue flicking my clit, your lips teasing me, exciting me, getting me wet, and then you sucking my juices from my cunt and then kissing me, so that I taste myself. I miss your lips on my breasts and the way your tongue excites my nipples, and the way your teeth pull on them and elongate them…and then I miss you filling me with your cock in my pussy and in my ass…I miss you stroking me, and kissing me, and holding me, and I miss going to sleep with you…”

“I miss all that as well, kitten. I’m glad we’ve had this conversation early, or I’d never get to sleep tonight.”

“I think of you when I look in the mirror and see the love bites, Graeme…”

“I’ll think of you in the bath tonight, kitten, and pretend you’re here with me…riding your stallion.”

What was going on here? He’d never had conversations like this with Francine!

TWENTY ONE

Gideon was already on the steps of the Ban
k
waiting for Olivia when James pulled up in front of the Bank at eight fifteen the next morning. He came down to open the door for her and she slipped him the computer backup file while her actions were hidden by the car door and the burly man’s body. She climbed out, he climbed in, and James sped him to the country house, where he could use the computer in Graeme’s study, and confer with Graeme, John Taylor and Sir David via a conference call before deciding the next steps to take.

“Who was that? Somebody from Head Office?” asked Danny. He’d come up the steps as Olivia did.

“An Irish cousin. James is taking him somewhere or other while I’m at work today. He’s promised to have James back to me by five.”

“Personally, I think the two of them are skiving off,” smiled Danny. “Salmon fishing opens today. They look like fishermen to me.”

“Actually, isn’t there some big horse race today?”

“Yes, but it’s about two hours from here.”

“Well, James is quite the punter...and so is our cousin.”

“Oh is he now, well, maybe that’s where they’ve gone,” said Danny.  “I’ll just go and get us each a cup of coffee, shall I, Olivia? I came in early so I could study those notes you’ve given me. I might have a suggestion for a spreadsheet to give me another reporting tool to send to London.”

“Glad we can use your accounting background, Danny, good idea. I’ve got some things I need to do right now, so I’ll just leave you to it, shall I?”

The Bank was abuzz with the accountants swarming about. The crew from Head Office made a great point of telling everybody how overworked they all were, by the new owner’s standards and how rather than cutting staff, Mr. Browning was assessing how many new positions to add as his branch expansion plans moved forward. The day went smoothly. Olivia was able to get a great deal of work done toward getting the Bank back into Compliance with the trading regulations. She got friendly enough with the traders that Rolly and Flynn started to tell her limericks.

She didn’t hear a word from Graeme. He was doing his usual pull-back, she decided.

Maybe my phone sex wasn’t very good and it turned him off.

Maybe Hailie had caught his eye, and he was going to have dinner with her, dinner and more...

Or maybe Francine had called him from Geneva, and he’d invited her to spend the weekend in London, a long weekend...

Five o’clock and the doorman buzzed up to say her driver was outside to pick her up.

Tim and Danny walked out with her, chatting away. They were both happy with how the day had progressed, Danny because he was learning the new job well, and Tim because he was positive now that they’d escaped detection. He could tell Olivia was totally in the dark about the extra trading he was doing for his own account, with the Bank’s money of course.

Olivia went down the wide stone steps, and leaning on the car were John Taylor and Graeme. Graeme had mentioned to John on the way that Tim had decided Olivia was his wife. He just hadn’t told John how.

“I think we should leave him to his misconceptions, John. It’s certainly given Olivia more authority, and it also stopped him hitting on her....”

John, catching the tone in Graeme’s voice, smiled. He wondered which of the two results was more important to the Vice-Chairman.

Graeme took one look at her with the two me
n
flanking her and said quietly to John,

“Well, John, here comes Showtime...” and he took three steps toward Olivia, enveloped her in his arms and gave her a kiss that went on and on and on, his tongue taking full possession of her, and as he pulled her closer and closer, she could feel his arousal growing.

He pulled apart and stood smiling down at her. “Darling, I missed you so much that I didn’t want to wait till Saturday to see you, so I cancelled tomorrow’s appointments and dinner and came over in the Company plane with John Taylor...this must be Tim and Danny, the two geniuses you emailed me the new employment contracts for?”

Tim’s face split in a wide, self-satisfied smirk...”You mean I already have the raise?”

Graeme smiled a smile that did not reach his eyes. “When Olivia suggests an action is required for the good of the Bank, I listen very closely. She’s very astute. Most men only react to her beauty, but I’ve known since the day I met her how capable she is, and she’s proved over and over, how she looks after the Bank’s and my own best interests. You’re Tim, and you’re Danny, right?”

The men shook hands, John Taylor was introduced, and Olivia was safely ensconced in the plush back seat of the limousine between the two Englishmen.

“John will be staying with us at the house, Olivia,” smiled Graeme. “That way, you can debrief both of us this evening, and we’ll be able to accomplish a lot more tomorrow.”

“Was there anything in the backup, Sir?” she asked. “Am I right?”

John laughed grimly. “Olivia, you were more than right. The file is in the hands of the police now, the White Collar Fraud Squad, and the Chief Inspector expects that by tomorrow or Monday at the latest, he will have enough to detain Mr. O’Rourke for questioning.

“We located the missing money, or some of it. It’s in an account at one of the Bank’s branches, disguised as a small company called
Active Trading Group.
And you were quite right, he wasn’t in this alone.

“We think all three of the other traders are in on it, but only Tim can withdraw monies from the account, so I imagine he keeps a larger share of it for himself.

“We’ll let them continue their nefarious activities until the Police come and make the arrests. I’ve got Joe and Robin on standby to get over here and take over the desk temporarily as soon as that happens. They will hire some new traders. We’ll put our feelers out as soon as the arrests are made.

”Joe will look over the area and stay on as Head Trader if he thinks he’d like to live over here. He just got divorced, so he thinks a change might be good for him. Gideon flew back to London as soon as the plane was ready for turnaround, to confer with our Legal Department. He’ll be back tomorrow morning to assist the police as best he can, and to supervise the operations of our own investigation.”

“The only person in the Department I think is innocent is Danny,” Olivia told them, “and I only think that because he just got transferred over. I see Tim is being very friendly with him, Mr. Taylor and I’m sure it’s so they can involve him in their scheme as soon as I’ve gone.”

John and Graeme nodded. “That makes sense. They can only escape detection if the clerk is either in on it, or so stupid and over his head that he doesn’t see what is going on, which is probably true of the two previous women.”

“Well, Danny is sharp, and he is working toward a degree in accounting. He’s newly married with a baby on the way, so he’s very ambitious. I’ve told him this position is a stepping stone for him on the way to a very good career with the Browning Group.”

“Good girl, Olivia,” smiled Graeme. “You never let me down, never...”

Mrs. Green had pulled out all the stops. Dinner was four courses, four wines. Mr. Browning had never brought a business associate to stay before, only family, friends and of course, Miss Stone. He usually liked her to prepare fairly simple menus, but tonight, well...

Mrs. Green was going to show these London gentlemen that a Belfast lass was every bit as accomplished as their fancy chefs!

Graeme casually covered Olivia’s glass with his hand when James started to pour the Chablis Mrs. Green had chosen to accompany the smoked salmon starter, encrusted in the most perfect choux pastry.

“Just bring Olivia some sparkling water, will you, please, James. She’s off alcohol these days, upset tummy. I think all the stresses at the Bank...”
