“Eh, no...”
“Well, we need to do that. We could do that this evening, Graeme, so that you can give them to her and to Michael to memorize, and they can pledge their commitment to each other on Thursday evening at the graduation.”
“You do it, and I’ll help you, ‘Livi. I think you will write something quite beautiful. You did a writing course two years ago, didn’t you?”
“I think I can get the book up onto the computer tonight, Graeme and we can read the lovely words that author wrote, and use them for our inspiration.”
“Maybe I’d better read that book...”
“Maybe you should, the part about the graduation anyway. It won’t take you all that long.”
The waiter came then, the waiter who adored Mrs. Browning and her enormous tips, with their meal. He spread the linen napkin on Olivia’s lap with a flourish. Graeme smiled. He’ looked at the receipt later, and realized Olivia hadn’t noticed a gratuity had been included by the restaurant. No wonder the waiter adored his kitten. Well, he’d let her pay again, and make the man’s day.
“Such good service, baby. Be sure you give him a good tip. I’m going to let you pay. After all, it’s kind of a tradition for you to pay for lunch here isn’t it?”
Olivia smiled at him. “Whatever you wish, Sir.”
“So, how do we get Linda to take the collar and offer it to Michael?”
“He should tell her and show her how well suited to each other they are, tell her, not hint. Tell her often how she pleases him. Perhaps in his address to the class, he can mention that while they’ve all done well, one graduate in particular has impressed him with her beauty, her skills, her dedication, and he should look at her while he’s saying this, look straight into her eyes...perhaps that will make her bold enough. If not, he’ll just have to call her to the front and collar her, won’t he?”
“He will. She makes him very happy, Olivia.”
“I know. And she loves him greatly.”
“I know. And he loves her greatly as well.”
“We have to go shopping Wednesday, Olivia, at lunch time. So don’t make any other lunch commitments with the girls, will you?”
“Not if you need me.”
“Oh, I need you. We’re going out for dinner Friday evening. I want you to wear that outfit you bought in Belfast, when we went out to dinner while I was buying this Bank. You look amazing in that, baby.
“You meant it when you said I’d know what being spoiled feels like, didn’t you? I am the luckiest girl in the world, Sir.”
Graeme smiled.
“It’s going to be interesting at work, back home,” she said, “I hope John and Gideon do keep quiet about the baby.”
“Yes, they will. I want you to have a few months’ fun on the Trading Desk. I think you’re going to love it. Then of course, you’ll be at home, preparing for our baby.
“And I got us an appointment with the obstetrician Friday morning. I’ve already told John you won’t be in until around ten.”
“Oh. You’re coming as well?”
“Of course I am. I have to learn how to look after you properly, don’t I?
Olivia smiled. “You already know how to look after me perfectly, Sir.”
“Not while you’re pregnant, pet. But I will...Back to Michael and Linda...do you think he should buy her a ring as well?”
“Is that common?”
“It’s a new thing for The Club, the collaring ceremony, so we could make it part of the tradition.”
“I think Linda would love that.”
“The collar has diamonds in it, so a diamond ring. What style do women like most? Solitaire, or antique, or very modern?”
“Linda always drools over solitaires...”
“I’ll tell Michael that. And you? Do all women drool over solitaires?”
“I never really thought about it. Princess Di’s ring was beautiful, and it was so romantic, William giving it to Kate. Linda thinks solitaires are lovely. I think antique rings are rather special, don’t you? Rose has an antique ring that is quite pretty. And Jill, the P.A. in Bonds has an absolutely beautiful ring. A diamond in the middle, with emeralds flanking it. I think that style might be my favourite.”
“My daughter Louisa has a ring with a large square diamond in the middle and two smaller ones each side. I always thought that quite nice.”
“I think any ring that is chosen with care by the man is always more than acceptable to the lucky girl getting it.”
“When I was thinking of marrying Francine, I watched her reaction to jewellery. It was always the bigger, the better.”
“Then I feel sorry for her, Graeme. You can’t measure commitment by the size of a stone. Look at all the billionaires you know whose wives have massive rings, and the men have mistresses on the side.”
“Our lifestyle gives a Dom the right to enjoy any sub he might wish to, unless he has an exclusive contract with his own pet.”
“That isn’t the same, is it? The subs are aware of that, but the wives I spoke of signed up for fidelity.”
“Mmmm....some subs sign up for fidelity as well, pet.”
“Well, that’s between them and their Doms isn’t it? I know that you control our relationship and make the decisions. You shared me with Michael and I watched the two of you share Linda. I understand the nature of our relationship, Sir. I realize that you have complete freedom to make whatever choices you wish, choices about me as well as yourself.”
“Are there any choices that would make you very unhappy, while we’re on the subject?”
Olivia lowered her eyes. “Well...I know you demand complete honesty of me, so I must tell you that I wouldn’t like it if you were with Francine again.”
“Why not?”
“Because...because I love being your pet, and she was your pet, and perhaps you would decide to send me away and take her back.”
Graeme laughed. “That is never going to happen, kitten. Even if I were to enjoy her pleasures again, I never will take her back as my pet.”
Olivia bit her lip. He hadn’t said he wouldn’t see Francine again. He didn’t care enough about Olivia to give her that.
“You want me to say I won’t have her again, don’t you?” he asked quietly.
“I can’t ask that, Sir. That is your choice to make. You just asked me what would make me very unhappy, and I told you.”
“My daughters and Amanda, and Michael all think Francine’s fonder of my money that my sparkling personality.”
“Yes, well, I’ve heard Amanda say so.”
“Whereas you, pet, well, I don’t think my fortune really enters into the equation, does it? You like me for who and what I am, not what I have...”
“I would feel the same about you, Sir, if you were a...a...on the dole...”
Graeme roared with laughter.
Olivia smiled.
“You really have no expectations of me, do you, Olivia?”
“I learned about the age of three not to have expectations of anyone, Sir, but just to be grateful for any kindness I might receive.”
“You are amazing, kitten. I am happy with you, you know that, don’t you?”
“It’s lovely, when we’re alone, isn’t it? Whether we’re in the study, working, or in the sitting room, listening to music or in the training room or the bedroom or the bath...I love our baths, Sir. I love our baths, and I love everything you do to me...and allow me to do to you. I’m very happy with you as well.”
“Are you happy to be pregnant, Olivia?”
“I’m very happy that you wanted me to be the mother of your baby.”
The evasive nature of her reply escaped Graeme.
“It will be lovely, having my own baby, Olivia. I’m looking forward to it. Though I must confess, I’m glad it’s you having the morning sickness, not me.”
It was Olivia’s turn to roar with laughter.
That evening, as Olivia worked on her cours
e
, Graeme read her story about the student, the collar and the headmaster.
He called Michael.
“Hi, Mike, I’ve just read the book you have on Olivia’s kindle.”
“Me, too. You aren’t going to suggest I give up teaching the classes once Linda has my collar on, are you?”
“Absolutely not. You’re doing a wonderful job teaching all those women how to be good, obedient submissives. The membership of
The Hedonist’s Pleasure
would string me up if I suggested you stop. As long as Linda’s good with it, it’s between the two of you.”
“She may prefer to be my permanent assistant at all the courses, and have me demonstrate only with her. Come to think of it, that’s just about what I did during the whole submissive’s course, once she joined the classes. And she’s certainly not being given the right to choose between me and any other Dom! Fancy Sir letting Brie interview those other men!”
“Brie was not called pet by her own Dom at that point, Mike. Their rules forbade it,” Graeme pointed out, smiling at his friend’s possessive attitude.
“True, but Linda is...”
“Well, I talked to Olivia today, and she says you need some vows.”
“Yes I saw that. I’m working on some right now, and then I’m going to ask Linda what she thinks of them. I’ve told her we’re starting the tradition at The Club.”
“What did she say?”
“She went very quiet, and pensive.”
“Olivia thinks she might be too shy. I’ll try and nudge her along tomorrow evening.”
“Does Olivia think she would accept my collar?”
“Of course she would. And Olivia thinks if you want to, you should give her a ring at the same time. A solitaire.”
“That would be appropriate, since I plan to start our family within the next six months. A Solitaire, eh?”
“That’s what Olivia says Linda would drool over.”
“Then that is what she will have.”
“I’d think that you might want to visit Cartier or Van Cleef & Arpels. Linda deserves grander than Ragnar carries. His bespoke creations are his strength...”
“I’ll do that tomorrow.”
“So, Olivia and I don’t have to write your vows?”
“Is she good at that?”
“My kitten is good at everything she does. She has taken a writing course.”
“Well I’m struggling, so if she could jot something down.”
“We’ll email you something within the hour...”
The men hung up. Graeme looked at Olivia, her head bent over her course.
“Baby, can I pull you away from your studies for a bit? Michael was trying to write some vows, and he isn’t very good, he says. Would you mind taking a break from currency trading and giving me a hand at these vows?”
Olivia smiled. “Of course.”
“Come over and sit on my lap, and we’ll work straight onto the computer, and then we can email it to Michael as soon as we’re finished. I think if he shows what we’ve written to Linda, and asks her opinion, she might start to get the right idea...”
Less than twenty minutes later, they had the email ready to send.
Mike, this is what we’ve come up with. I will conduct the ceremony:
The Dom and his Pet will kneel before me, facing each other and repeat the following words:
Dom: I accept that you belong to me from this day forward. I will always protect you and care for you and keep you with me, safe from all dangers as we journey through life together.
(Then, Dom, you put the collar on her)
This collar is the symbol of our bond, of my ownership of you, of my commitment to you as my own.
