Everything Messiah possessed was awarded for his own hard work and ambition to become successful in some genre he’s truly the last of a dying breed. When her father told her stories of his past it reminded her so much of Messiah’s struggle to stay free and above the ground.

“Mallory, do you hear me?” Melinda said breaking Mallory’s influenced thoughts. Before she left the hospital she made sure to remind the nurse to give her another pill for pain and she not too long ago took it.

“Yeah, give Daddy a kiss for me and I’ll call you back.” Mallory said.

“Okay, when are you coming to see Daddy? We have to do something Mallory.” Melinda began to whine like the brat she was. “Mama hates to move forward, but we have to set Daddy free.” She said and Mallory understood, but she needed to get her destined king on the throne to run the Coca Leaf Castle before doing so.

“I know Mel… I know.” Mallory said. “Give me another day to make the decision and I’ll be there. “

“Be careful Mallory.” Melinda said into the phone and then hung up. Mallory dialed Messiah’s number, she wanted to tell him where she was, but one of the goons entered her bedroom.

“Yo Mallory we about to bust out you alright huh?” he asked.

“Yeah, I’ll be fine. Binx is on his way I think.” She lied with a fragile smile; it was better that way because she didn’t have to result to killing them for being in the way of her plans.

“I’mma lock the door on the way out.”

“Thank you.” Mallory said watching them leave and then pressing the dial button.

“What the fuck, Mallory!” Messiah answered after three rings.

“If you plan on getting paid I expect this dude body to turn up soon.” Mallory said.

“Where you at?” Messiah asked.

“At my condo.” Mallory replied in a guilty childlike tone.

“The one you were living in?” Messiah asked. Mallory blushed and saw a window of hope. She confirmed with an “uh huh.” he hung the phone up in her face within an hour he was there. It took her a while to get to the door.

**********

Messiah walked in and passed Mallory into the spacious condo noticing it still held that vanilla and lavender aroma. He stood by the couch and waited for her to sit down so she can give him the information he need. This was the main reason he didn’t want to get involved with the clients because he knew he’d done too much in his past to run up on karma.
One day Tiffany’s ass is gonna listen when I say I’m in the background for her safety.
Messiah thought looking at Mallory all beaten and bruised.

“Who brought you here?” Messiah asked.

“My people.” Mallory lied. “Like I said on the phone if you want to get paid and be done then I need to know that he no longer exist.” she said. Messiah looked at Mallory with a serious expression on his face.

“The house right around the corner from your family’s house… is that Binx’s residence?” Messiah asked.

“Yeah right across the street from the state trooper and his lawyer wife.” Mallory said. Messiah shook his head and left her condo. He then placed a call to get Operation Binx over with.

Chapter Eleven

Binx was sitting at the kitchen table counting his money while talking to Styles who was drinking out a bottle of Ciroc and leaning against the counter.

Styles said he got in touch with Tef and needed to build with Binx in person. Soon as Tef walked through the door he started running it. “I got at that bitch ass nigga Tom, but a big fine bitch was in the office with him. We didn’t get a look at her though.” Tef also told Binx that Mallory hired someone to kill him.

“That’s why I have you my nigga.” Binx said to Tef slapping hands.

“One hunnid!” Tef said accepting the bottle from Styles and taking a swig. “You want me to find that broad and knock her ass off too?”

“Yeah do that or better yet keep ya hands clean and hire somebody… be a boss.” Binx said throwing the stacks inside the bag and giving it to Tef. Binx stretched and walked Tef and Styles to the door. He needed to get on the street and make sure everything was secure in case they were going to war. Mallory made herself obvious when she left the hospital, paid his boys of, and then promised some of his hard earned product when the Coca Leaf Boys had birds by the flock.

Tef and Styles chunked the deuces and jumped in Tef’s pearl black Charger. They then peeled off out of the driveway with Lil Boosie blasting through the speakers. Binx closed and locked the door, he went back in the kitchen to pack the remainder of the money. Twenty or so minutes passed when Binx heard the doorbell ring. It felt awkward because nobody came over unannounced to his house so he grew suspicious. He went upstairs to grab his AK and look out the window. Once he realized who vehicle was in the yard he felt at ease and put the weapon on the bed.

Binx ran down the stairs and opened the door to four quick blows to his head. Instantly he was dizzy and stumbling like a character being dominated on mortal kombat in ‘finish him’ mode. Binx couldn’t shake back quick enough before two more blows rammed into his sides like a Mack Truck. Binx’s vision was blurry, but he knew this couldn’t have been his sweet beloved.

Mallory really became the art of his demise and he didn’t know he would be betrayed by her to this degree. The blows to his head caused him to temporarily go deaf and he didn’t hear the bullet load in the chamber. Binx’s body dropped with six bullets; mouth, neck, penis and three times in his chest. Messiah took off back to the car and sped off the property once on the main highway he placed a call to Mallory.

“Hey!” She answered.

“It’s done.” Messiah said.

“I’ll be wiring the money first thing in the morning, but after confirmation,” Mallory said.

Messiah hung up and drove to his East Coast man pad to swap out cars in the condo’s parking garage. When he got there, he went into the gym to shower and dress. Looking at his watch, Tiffany should be at the cleaners and waiting on him though they were mad with one another their unconditional love kept them together.

Tiffany didn’t have to worry anymore about running around because he’d closed the case for them. Messiah wanted to buy Tiffany a ring and propose on his birthday, and the sooner Mallory pay them he was booking them a flight out to the most authentic beach money can buy.

************

Tiffany finished running her pants in the washer and then placed them in the dryer so that Ms. Anna could press them. She thought she had a change of clothes in her office, but she didn’t. Looking at her phone she waited on Messiah’s call or his arrival, but it was taking him pretty long to get there. When he called her earlier saying to meet at the cleaners she was puzzled, but she’d already been there before he called. Tiffany wondered if Messiah knew about the Tom situation or if he had a better solution than hers about this Binx situation.

Ms. Anna finished pressing Tiffany’s pants and she was as good as she looked when she stepped out the door earlier. Binx came to her mind again thinking about how well mannered he was especially with his tongue game. She knew she would have to suggest pulling off a decoy; get paid, and then murk Mallory because honestly Binx was a good person. Tiffany dialed Messiah’s number and he finally answered. “I’m on my way, love,” he said into the phone.

“Okay.” Then hung up the phone.

“Where you two going next?”Ms. Anna asked.

“I don’t’ know,” Tiffany replied.

Messiah walked into the cleaners and looked at Tiffany. He could tell that something heavy was on her mind, if it was Binx, she no longer needed to worry because he was a done dollar. “Tiffany we need to talk in the office.” Tiffany looked at Ms. Anna and then followed him.

Ms. Anna could tell that this new client that hired them for this job had caused something to happen that would be hard to repair. Ms. Anna was a firm believer in the saying “real love can stand the test of time”. What she didn’t know was if she could handle the outcome of this shit here. They didn’t let her in on much, but she was a great judge of character and excellent at reading body language.

Messiah set at his desk looking at Tiffany “The job is over,” he stated.

“We need this money! How can you just end it like that after all the shit we been through these past few days?” Tiffany hated how he always tried to call the shots.

“We made the money,” Messiah stated coolly.

“How? You fuck the bitch and she gave you the rest?” Tiffany asked voice dripping with sarcasm, but she definitely wanted to know the answer.

“No unlike miss “I woke up getting my pussy ate”, I finished the job for my pay.” He stated coldly and it hurt Tiffany’s soul.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FINISHED IT?” Tiffany yelled.

“The nigga is history, what we were hired to do,” Messiah stated.

“We are pawns in this bitch’s game. She is after you and now that you have hurt Binx-- all she have to do is get rid of me. Where was he when you hurt him?” The way she asked made Messiah wonder if she had feelings for Binx.

“Why? You weren’t hired to worry about him.” Messiah was up on his feet now with a mean look on his face.

“You was not hired to lie to me either but you did. I will find him myself.” Tiffany turned on her heels and was out the door.

“Fuck!” Messiah knocked all the shit off his desk and Ms. Anna came rushing in.

“Cool down.” Ms. Anna said with her hands stretched out.

“She gone play me like this?” Messiah asked himself, he was hurt.

“You lied… so you played your damn self-boy.” Ms. Anna said keeping it real.

“I was trying to get this money and be done with it,

but no she talking about this nigga like she care about him,” he fussed.

“Did you ever think there was more to this story, love?” Ms. Anna was speaking the truth.

“I did but I ignored it.” Messiah confessed.

“Sometimes we gamble with the wrong things.” Ms. Anna said walking out of the office.

Messiah sat back in his seat knowing he was dead ass wrong about the way he handled this shit from the jump. Now he had to let the chips fall where they may, but one thing he know was if his woman get hurt in anyway Mallory would pay. Something told him that she was already hurt more than he would ever know.

Chapter Twelve

Tiffany drove like a bat out of hell to Binx’s trap house. It felt like the day her father was killed a murder that was based on greed not disloyalty. She hated people that would get rid of others for their own personal gain. That was the reason she was left as a parentless child.
