2 large apples

2 cups almonds, soaked for 12 hours

2 ounces raisins (with seeds)

DIRECTIONS

Grind the almonds through a Champion or Green Power / Star Juicer, using the blank plate. This will make almond butter.

Cut the apples into quarters; remove and discard the seeds and core.

Spread the almond butter on the apples, and then cover them with raisins.

Contributor’s note:
This is a great snack when you’re on the go.

1 large serving

INGREDIENTS

½ cup zucchini (chopped into chunks)

½ cup cucumber (chopped into chunks)

½ cup avocado (chopped into chunks)

¼ cup cold pressed olive oil

⅛ teaspoon sea salt (more or less to your taste)

¼ teaspoon paprika

⅛ teaspoon tarragon

DIRECTIONS

Mix all above. Let the avocado get a little bruised when mixing; it adds to the overall dish.

Now, even though this is chunky, and you may feel like a monkey afterwards, if you really want to take it over the edge … shape it into a monkey head!

For monkey face (optional):

Mouth:
Cut off 1 inch of the end of the cucumber and zucchini. Then cut it so that you have 2 wedges.
Eyes:
circles from the cucumber, zucchini and add 2 tablespoons chopped olives. Mix everything together.
