The Darkest Corners (The Club Book 4) (8 page)

Tally sat up and reached behind her in a fluid movement, unfastening his feet with a quick, easy motion. He pulled them apart and she fell onto his rigid cock hard, rendering them both senseless for just a moment. As soon as she regained herself, Tally leaned forward again and this time, because his feet were free, Liam was able to maneuver just enough to suck one of her hard nipples into his mouth.

He instantly snagged the ring with his tongue and pressed against his teeth, imprisoning her nipple between his lips. He took full advantage of it and suckled, sending shocks of electricity through her. The sensation shot down to her sex where she drew his erection in and out of herself in rough movements.

Liam’s mouth slipped over to her other breast, and he took her between his lips, sucking as if he were starving. Tally loved each movement of his talented tongue against her—nearly as much as she enjoyed his now thrusting cock. He kept rhythm with her, doubling the pleasure they were both feeling.

And for the first time in a long time, she didn’t care to give one of her directives to the man she was with. She always made them wait for her pleasure first—without question. She always gave them theirs, but there was something different with Liam. He was so willing, so completely
able
to keep up with her without direction. He somehow instinctively understood that she would make him come, hard, and they would share the ecstasy in that.

He had not once invoked her anger. Not once. Everything she told him, he obeyed immediately. There was no condescending smirk that accompanied his ‘yes, mistress.’ Each reply had been sincere, seeking the erotic release she had promised. So long since she had been believed and respected the first time.

Tally’s climax was just on the horizon, not far away from her. This was her favorite part, the sensations that tripped through her body as she waited for her orgasm. The part where at one time, she would have been panting and begging her sir, “Make me come, please!” Now, she chased it, seeking the cramping, tightening sensation that meant complete release. She hunted it, her weapon the cock that she rode. She took pleasure from and gave back full measure by learning their body and making them obey her, making them come just as hard as she did.

His teeth on her beaded peak snapped her back to the moment, gasping at the build that her entire body was rushing toward. Liam was peering up at her as he bit down gently. It was sweet, bitter pain, and he could see that she liked the feeling.

Gathering herself, she smiled at him. She knew what she needed.

“Harder,” she whispered.

Liam thrust his hips up, filling her pussy completely as his teeth clamped down harder on her nipple.

Lightning exploded behind her eyes, her climax ripping through her, from nipple to clit and flying through her blood. Pulling and tugging and making her deaf and blind at once, Tally reveled in the pleasure that ripped through her body and mind.

Still in the throes of climax, she reached up and released the ropes holding Liam’s arms. His hands instantly gripped her hips as he slammed his dick all the way into the warm, welcoming channel. Tally let him do what he wanted—he had done so well, with no training, no direction.

“Oh, shit.” He gasped a heartbeat after he had grabbed her hips.

“Come for me, Liam,” Tally commanded.

He obeyed, groaning out her name. He pulsed as he thrust to fill her. Tally watched him come, his face tight with desire, ecstasy, and lids shut as his eyes twitched and shook behind them.

One of her favorite images—a man in the throes of orgasm. She only enjoyed it more when that man was beneath her and inside her—like this handsome, muscled specimen. Tally was sure she could get used to seeing that face, four, five times a day.

“Oh, God.” Liam finally gasped, regaining his control, slowly. Tally agreed as she stilled on him. He surged from the bed and caught her mouth with his, twirling his tongue with hers, enjoying her mouth. Tally found she had no interest in resisting him. His arms brought her down and close to him and…

Tally
liked
it.

It had been too many years since she enjoyed having a man hold her. She liked their touch, she was always pleased with how they could help her with her hunt for her climax. But there had been no one who had made her feel comfortable with them after she had finished.

And yet, here, she did.

“You weren’t kidding about amazing, Mistress.”

“The scene is over, Liam. You don’t have to call me that now.” Liam clearly understood what that meant and toyed with the little silver hoop in her nipple, no teasing intended. Just simple curiosity.

“You really like those.” Tally smiled and found his sleepy gaze on her to be natural, normal. Familiar.

“I do,” he said. “Do we get to sleep here? With you? I’m feeling a little beat down.”

Tally chuckled. “We haven’t gotten to that yet.” His eyes slid to hers, wide and shocked. “Don’t worry. When we get there, you’ll be begging for it.”

“Damn.” He blew out a breath.

“But, yes, we can stay here. We are licensed as a hotel, so may as well use that.”

Liam grabbed the blankets and laughed as he pulled them up, over them. “Should I bother taking the ropes off my arms?”

“Mm, take them off.”

He pulled his arms up and slipped the ropes off. In the sweet, dim light of the room, Tally took one of his wrists and looked at the rope marks on his skin. She liked the pattern and what they meant to her. She kissed the inside of his wrist as they settled back in. “Such a natural sub, Liam. Wonderful, natural submission.”

She drifted off to sleep, peacefully.

SEVEN

Tuesday morning

The black patent leather pumps he’d been waiting for all Monday finally appeared not too long before lunch on Tuesday. He twisted the last cap on the wire he was adding in the junction and dusted his hands off. Liam stood and found Tally’s furious, burning eyes boring into him.

“I would see you my office in twenty minutes.”

He looked at his watch. “Twenty minutes is lunch.”

“Office. Twenty minutes.”

“A command,
mistress
?” He snapped off the words.

“A command, Mister Dunfrees, that you’d better heed if you remember who signs your paychecks here at The Club.”

He cocked his head. “Twenty minutes then.”

She turned smartly and walked away down the hall, disappearing a moment later. Liam looked down at the work he had just started to wrap up. It was the first of what was planned to be six to eight weeks of upgrades in the electrical system before he could start installing the new system. He wondered if he was going to be around to see it through.

Leaning back down, he finished the work on the junction box, bolting it into the beam after making sure all wires inside were secure and connected properly. He would make sure the work he’d done was up to snuff, leaving clear directions what he had done when Tally fired him in twenty minutes.

Maybe it had been cowardly of him, or maybe it had been the best thing for his own ego, but he had walked out of the club the Thursday night before once Tally had drifted off. He gathered his clothes and left, without a word or a note. He had carefully avoided her the next day, flat out ignored her texts and calls all weekend by spending it in a drunken stupor in Houston and crawling back Monday to carefully avoid her again.

Liam was really shocked it took her this long to hunt him down.

But what did she expect of him? She’d called him submissive. She may as well have grabbed his balls and yanked them off too.

There was no denying that he enjoyed everything she had done. It was one of the kinkiest and most amazing nights he’d ever had. Watching her work, and work him over, was every man’s freaking wet dream come to life. And he was good with all of it.

Except being called submissive.

He wasn’t submissive. He wasn’t a guy who wanted to be led around on a leash and used as an ottoman and have his nuts crammed into a forced chastity cage. He was a man. He was male. He wasn’t going to crawl around on his hands and knees to please any woman.

Flowers, chocolates, massages, dinners, extravagant vacations. All things he could and would do. All things he could imagine doing, with no prompting or hints. But her submissive shit? No way, count him out.

Liam grunted as he put the wallboard back in place to cover the hole he’d had to make. He taped it over and made a note to come back and actually spackle it over. He would never dream of leaving the job half finished.

Exactly twenty-one minutes later, he knocked on the door to Tally’s office. He heard her call permission to enter, and he pushed into the room.

Looking just as sexy as ever, Tally was waiting behind the desk. Her hair was pulled up into a no-nonsense bun and her suit was impeccably tailored and pressed. She was sorting through some papers that clearly had her exasperated.

“Please, sit down, Liam.” She didn’t look up.

He dropped into the chair and watched her. He remembered the look on her face that night as she came around him and his damn dick betrayed him, twitching with a desire to prick up. He did his best to ignore it and wait until Tally was ready.

It wasn’t a moment before she gathered the papers together and put them to the side with a vehement swear. She grabbed the coffee mug and took a sip, and it was obvious that was buying time before she addressed the situation of
him
sitting there.

On par for her, she hit the heart of the matter. “Where the hell were you?”

“Away.” Liam didn’t mince words either. “From you.”

“I thought you enjoyed what we did.”

“I did.” He nodded a confirmation. His dick bobbed its agreement.

“Then where did you go?”

“I told you. Away,” he repeated.

“That’s not a place, Liam. That’s an excuse.”

He heaved a breath. “I don’t owe you an explanation.”

Tally shook her head. “No, you don’t. But I could have the courtesy of one.” She leaned forward, resting her arms on the desk. “I enjoyed Thursday night, Liam. What went wrong? I didn’t hear you say stop or call any other color except yellow and green.”

He worked his jaw for a moment. “I did enjoy it. Everything. Right up to the part where you called me a submissive.”

Tally rolled her eyes and shook her head in disgust. “And you took that as an insult?”

“What the hell else am I going to take it as?” Liam’s voice was sharp.

“You did everything
right
, Liam,” she said. “Everything was perfect. I didn’t have to give you direction, over and over. You never smirked or laughed at what I was doing. You were into everything I did. The clamps, the cock ring, the ropes. You have a natural disposition for submission.”

He bristled at her statement. “I’m not submissive.”

“You’re an ass.” Tally’s voice was quiet. “You think that’s an insult, don’t you? You think that you’re going to be degraded as a male if you like it when a woman takes charge all the time. You think that my calling you a submissive is a
bad
thing.”

“I am not a submissive. I won’t crawl around after you on a leash. I don’t want you to be in charge. That’s my job. That’s my place.”

“Are you threatened by me running this place? Are you threatened by a business woman?”

“No—”

“Then how is the bedroom so different from a boardroom?”

He stared at her. “Because in a boardroom, they don’t make a cock sandwich out of my dick and balls and two pieces of plexi.”

She growled. “Fucking Internet. That’s right, isn’t it? Instead of coming to someone who lives the lifestyle, who
protects
the lifestyle, you went to cock-and-ball-torture dot com to learn all about what we evil dominatrices do to your precious junk. Did you also get a letter from your Uncle Nulla Djembo about that nine point three million waiting in a bank in the Congo?”

“I don’t have to listen to this. This has nothing to do with my job.”

“Indeed it does not.” Tally nodded in agreement. “But because it has to do with you feeling like you have to prove your masculinity to me—when I am well fucking aware of your masculinity and rather enjoyed it—you sit there and hear things you think I’m saying to insult you. I’m not insulting you by calling you a submissive. I have lived this lifestyle for seven years, and I thought that perhaps I had found a kindred spirit in you. Clearly, I was wrong.” Liam opened his mouth to defend himself again, but she cut him off with a slash of her hand. “I was wrong. You don’t have to tell me again that you’re not submissive.”

Liam leaned forward in the chair. “And you? What about you? How exactly am I supposed to react to the fact that the fucking Internet tells me that pretty little necklace you’re wearing is a collar? You always have it on. You played with it all night at the restaurant. You didn’t take it off when we were fucking. It’s always there, isn’t it? And the fucking Internet tells me that a woman with a collar is a woman claimed by another master.” He cocked his head. “Doesn’t do it for you anymore? Hiding from him? Like to switch and he doesn’t? Why don’t you take that off once in a while if you’re going to insult and dominate men? Is he hiding the key?”

Liam knew in that instant he’d hit a nerve, hard. And in the next instant, he felt like shit about doing it. Tally leaned back in the chair, staring at him, putting a hand to the necklace. “Congratulations, Liam. You’ve done a fantastic job proving that I was wrong, and you’re just like every other male who has marched through my life here in Texas.”

He watched her regain her balance, despite the tears that pooled in her eyes.
Oh, what the fuck did I just do?

Before he could start to figure out what was going on, she leaned forward. “How long until you can finish your job?”

“Six weeks,” he answered. “Tally—”

“Thank you, that’s all. Please finish your job. I’ve heard you’re the best. I won’t bother you again with any of The Club business.”

“Tally—”

“Thank you. That’s all.”

Liam stood, knowing trying to apologize to her now was useless. He grimaced and turned to the door. As he headed out of the room, pulling the door to close behind him, Tally called after him softly.

“I know where the key to collar is, Liam. It’s buried with my husband.”

Fuck
. The door clicked closed.
