The evolution of private companies on the subject of gay and lesbian employees has revealed itself to be much more progressive than public ones, and many offer full benefits to the partners of their gay and lesbian employees. This is notably the case for Apple, Hewlett-Packard, Walt Disney, Time Warner, and IBM, among others.
