I would hope that you have enjoyed yourself with what should have been mine. Upon further thought, I think I am deserving of greater compensation based on the sweet piece of ass I forfeited to you. A man in your position shouldn’t be greedy. I am sure you will find a way to get me what I want. I would hate to go to the press over such trivial matters.

Sincerely,

The Reel Dom Prize

I backed away from the desk, numbed down to my toes.

I knew this would be a challenge, Gianna. The moment you walked into that room, I knew
.

Tears blinded me as I scrambled to get dressed. Two hours. I had two hours to get the fuck out of here. Throwing everything I could get my hands on into my luggage, I zipped it shut and wheeled it over to my room. I heard the doorbell ringing. Fucking appetizers. Ignoring the sound, I grabbed the phone and dialed reception for a cab. The last of the packing was done, what stayed behind didn’t matter. Shampoo, hairbrush…I didn’t give a shit.

With eerie calm, I walked back into his office and sat at the desk with the same sheet of paper I had previously used while he had me.

I hope I was worth it
.

Half an hour later, I was on my way to the airport. That one-way ticket came in handy after all.

Day 6

My phone rang for the hundredth time. It was two in the afternoon and my lazy carcass was still in bed. After a two-hour wait for a flight then the dreaded layovers, I hadn’t gotten home until the wee hours of the morning. Not to mention all that useless crying exhausted the crap out of me. Karli had already called me a half dozen times making sure I was okay. I assured her I would be fine after I kicked his ass. I had to stop with the leaky eyeballs first.

I glanced at my phone to make sure it wasn’t her again and hit delete when JP’s name popped up. I hadn’t answered his phone calls or even read any of his texts. There wasn’t an explanation for what happened. He bought me like a hooker. End of story.

It’s funny how I had similar thoughts about him. Why didn’t I realize something was off? A millionaire business tycoon offering his Dom services for charity? Dumb. Ass.

I groaned, sticking my head under the pillow. Did I have to get up at all? Not today I didn’t. Luckily, I had taken the following week off to decompress. Boy was I going to milk that now.

Depression did strange things to people. I took five showers, cried then took naps throughout the next couple of days. Lunch and dinner weren’t particularly important, not as much as my Chunky-Monkey thousand-calorie ice cream booty call. Karli came to see me every day, flouncing in and pulling up all the shades in the apartment. They came back down as soon as she left. My favorite takeout was packed into the fridge, untouched.

Day 9

On the third night she sat on the couch and watched me. “Am I going to have to pull intervention here?”

I indulged in my monkey and glared at her. “No. I’m fine, just a tad pissed. It’s not every day you get pimped out without knowing it.”

Friends
was on and I wasn’t in the mood to talk about it. I wanted to roar when my phone chimed again. Fucking get over yourself, Stone!

“Why don’t you at least see what he has to say?”

A loud knock on the door made us jump. “Gia! Open up. I know you’re in there. Please.”

Holy shit!!! How the hell…?

Karli’s eyes grew wide. “Is that him?”

“Damn it!” I jumped up and shoved the monkey in the freezer. Looking in the mirror by the front door, I scowled at my reflection. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail and put my reading glasses on to hide my puffy eyes. An image of a slutty schoolgirl floated in my subconscious briefly before I told her to fuck off.

I heard Karli gathering her things. “I’m out of here. You two need to talk this out. Are you gonna be okay?”

I smiled at her. “I have to be. Thanks for stopping by.”

I returned her hug and opened the door. I didn’t even notice her slip past me and out into the hall. My eyes landed on a very disheveled JP. Dark circles outlined his beautiful hazels and he hadn’t shaved. He looked like shit and secretly, I was glad.

“Gia…”

I held up my hand. His appearance didn’t negate what he had done. I was still steaming mad over it. Without a word, I moved over and motioned him in.

To be continued

To Love A Dom
, the continuation of JP and Gia’s story, coming soon.

I cringe thinking how differently my week in Colorado would have been if JP hadn’t taken someone else’s place. Now that I know the whole truth, I can’t help but feel relief.

I’m practically a newborn in this lifestyle. I need time to get my head straight and decide how much I am willing to sacrifice…

~Gia
