The Honeymoon Period (The Austin Series) (47 page)

We were
asked to follow the maître d' to the dining room and I saw Gabe was as
impressed as I was to see the old medieval room. It was panelled on the walls
and ceiling, had burgundy leather chairs and benches and another roaring fire with
flickering candelabra’s instead of electric lights. It was so romantic and I
squeezed his hand and smiled at him as we were shown to our table, Gabe
indicated for me to sit with my back to the room, which was unusual. I sipped
on some champagne and tore up a warm roll and loaded some butter on the pieces,
which made him shake his head as he ate his dry.

‘You’re not
wearing your bracelet,’ he observed.

‘I know, I’m
really
sorry. I didn’t want to take it off, but it didn’t look right with
the outfit being gold tones, so I borrowed all of these from Lexi.’

‘You don’t
have any gold jewellery?’

‘No, silver
goes with more. Besides, I don’t often wear gold shades.’

‘You should,
you look radiant and your hair like that’s very sexy.’

I smiled
shyly at him, I still found it hard to take a compliment, especially from him.
The bisque was delicious, smooth and velvety and Gabe swore the scallop dish
was the best he’d ever had which made me happy. I excused myself and giggled
when he stood up as I left the table. I still found it amusing that he was so
chivalrous for someone so young. Dunsmaster Boys School obviously set high
standards in etiquette and Gabe had come out with top marks. I sent Lexi a
quick text from the ladies powder room to ask if she was ok and looked up and
smiled as another woman came in. I guessed her to be in her late twenties, very
attractive with a jet black bob and seriously killer long legs, she was in a black
tightly fitted knee length dress with a plunging neckline.

‘Hi,’ she
smiled as she washed her hands.

‘Hi,’ I
smiled back, as I teased some loose hair into place.

‘I hope you
don’t mind my asking, but where did you get that dress? It’s amazing.’

‘O, thank
you. I can’t remember, I’ve had it a while and never had the occasion to wear
it until now.’

‘Well, it’s
gorgeous,
very
sexy. You’ve an amazing figure, my husband can’t take his
eyes off you.’

‘I’m … very
sorry,’ I stuttered, worried she’d followed me in here to have a go at me.

‘Don’t be,
I’ve no problem him admiring other women, I’m not the jealous type. I’m Etta,’
she stretched out her hand to me. I shook it tentatively thinking how bizarre
it was, shaking hands with a stranger in a toilet.

‘Mia,’ I
replied.

‘How about
you and your husband? Been married long?’

‘O no, he’s
not my husband, we’re far too young for that.’

‘Sorry, you
just look so in love with each other.’

‘We are,
but definitely
not
married.’ Even saying the word marriage made me
almost break out in hives and she wasn’t making my discomfort any easier.

‘Where are
you from?’

‘Westhampton,
in England,’ I smiled politely.

‘Well, I
knew it wasn’t Scotland with that accent,’ she laughed. ‘Are you here for long?’

‘Sadly no,
we go back on Sunday.’

‘Well Mia,
if you are planning on a good night out on Saturday, you must both come to
Obsession. It’s the best club here.’ She rummaged in her bag and gave me a card.
‘Show them my card and you’ll get in as a VIP, I’m a regular. I’ll look forward
to seeing you both there.’ She flashed me another smile and walked out.

I looked at
the card expecting to see a promotional card for the club and instead found it
was a personalised business card. Etta McKenzie had just given me her home
address and mobile number. I shook my head, wondering if she went around
handing out her details to everyone she met in toilets and stuffed it in my
clutch, then frowned when I realised she hadn’t even gone to the toilet while
she was in here, how bizarre. I touched up my gloss and checked myself out in
the mirror. Gabe was right, these gold tones really suited my skin tone and
brunette locks. I should wear them more often. I headed back to the dining room
and saw Gabe looking at his watch. He looked up as I walked over, broke into a dazzling
heart-warming smile and stood up and held my chair out for me.

‘I was
starting to get worried baby, you were gone a while.’ He kissed the top of my
head as he pushed my chair in and went and sat down again.

‘Thanks. Yes
sorry about that, really odd but a woman came in and started chatting to me,
then she shook my hand and introduced herself then left without even going to
the toilet.’

‘Black hair,
short black dress?’ he asked as he finished his champagne.

‘Yes,’ I
said frowning, slightly irritated that he’d noticed her.

‘No need to
be jealous baby,’ he chuckled. ‘She’s not my type, no one else has been my type
since I met you, but she’s been staring at us since we arrived in the bar, as
was her partner at you.’

‘Is that
why you sat me with my back to the room?’ I asked. He knew I was nosey and
liked to see what was going on and what people were wearing.

‘Yes, I
didn’t like the way he was looking at you. What did she want?’

‘Just asking
about my dress and if we were married. She suggested that if we were going clubbing
we should go somewhere called Obsession and that we’d get VIP treatment if we
mentioned her name. Really bizarre but she gave me her business card, with her
home
address and everything.’ Gabe started laughing and I looked at him
surprised.

‘I think we’ve
just been hit on baby.’

‘What?’

‘I think
they’re looking for us to hook up and make a sexual foursome with them.’

No,

I uttered, my eyes wide as I looked at him with my mouth ajar.

‘Why so
shocked, Mia? We’re a young, fit, very attractive couple. I’m surprised it’s
not happened before.’

‘Gabe
seriously, people just do that? Come up to complete strangers and think that
they’ll do that?’

‘I’ve been
propositioned a few times by couples for a threesome. Why not when I’m with you
as well? You’re seriously hot baby, anyone would be lucky to have us both in
their bed.’

‘You’ve
done that? Actually don’t answer, I don’t want to know.’

‘I’m going
to tell you anyway Mia, because now the subject’s come up you’re always going
to wonder and I don’t want anything to come between us. Yes, I’ve had a couple
of threesomes,’ he shrugged. I looked at him, my mouth open, shocked.

‘Two women
or a man and woman?’ I asked as I covered my eyes, not sure if I really wanted
to know.

‘Both. I’ve
had quite a few with girls, they approach me a lot, usually best friends. Then
last year a college friend had a girlfriend who wanted two guys at once and he
asked if I was interested, she was reasonably attractive so I thought why not,’
he shrugged. I gulped and went to open my mouth but he interrupted me. ‘Before
you ask there was no guy on guy action, I was just there as an extra for her.
I’m also not interested in having any more three ways Mia, I’m not open to sharing
you with anyone, male or female, ok?’ I nodded and heaved a sigh of relief and
I looked down at my napkin on the table. I was so tame not having done anything
like that. ‘Baby look at me, too much information?’

‘I just
feel so naïve Gabe, you’re so sexually experienced.’

‘Mia, look
at me baby.’ I felt his fingers tug at mine and he pulled my hand from my face.
‘I told you I had a past and I’d prefer to be open with you about it, I
promised not to lie to you. Yes, I’ve had a lot of partners, but I’m not
massively experienced, there’s lots I haven’t tried and lots I don’t want to
try. Regardless, it doesn’t matter how experienced you may
think
I am,
nothing I’ve done compares to what I have with you, how I feel when I’m with
you. You know that, right?’

‘I believe
you Gabe, but it still doesn’t mean I like it. Is there anything you’ve done
that we haven’t yet? Anything that you want to do? Anything I’m not giving you
that you want?’

‘Mia, our
sex life’s incredible, I’ve already done so much with you that I’ve never done
with anyone else. The only thing we haven’t done that I have is a threesome and
I just told you I don’t want anyone else in our bed. Are you trying to tell me
you want to have one?’

No!’
I
looked up at him mortified and he squeezed my hand and smiled.

‘Thank God,
you had me worried for a minute.’

‘I never
want to share you with anyone either Gabe, we agreed from the start that we’d
be monogamous and I assumed that meant no one else joining us too. Can we change
the subject? All this talk of sex has me all hot and bothered again and looking
at you in tux is just …
wow
.’

‘Tell me
about it, I’m sitting opposite you in that thing you call a dress. I’m still
hard from the limo.’

‘Really?’

‘Yes, your
tits look sensational,’ he sighed as his eyes ran down the gap in my dress,
lingering on the domes of flesh and deep cleavage showing.

‘Then
please tell me this stupid delayed gratification is off the table?. Not only am
I desperate to fuck you, but I’d really,
really
like to do it in the
Limo Mr. Bond.’

‘Shit,
sorry Miss Moneypenny, I only booked it for the way out. Maybe next time, eh?’
he replied. I sighed, I’d really wanted to have limo sex. I leaned down and
pulled off one of my heels and slid my foot up the inside of his leg and smiled
when I saw his eyes widen as I pushed it between his thighs and started to rub
his erection. ‘Mia, what are you doing,’ he groaned.

‘You’re
right, you
are
still hard. If we were in that restaurant with the light
curtain I’d be under the table right about now sucking you off,’ I whispered. He
groaned again as his face went into a grimace and he reached down and grabbed
my foot and held it still and gave me a pleading look to stop, so I pulled it
back and waited for him to put his hands back above the table and did it again.
He grabbed me immediately and tickled my sole, I shrieked with laughter and
yanked my foot away, banging my knee really hard on the bottom of the table
which shook, the glasses rattling as I swore and the dining room went quiet as
Gabe’s cheeks turned crimson. ‘
Sorry,
’ I mouthed at him then covered my
mouth with my hand to stop my giggling. He narrowed his eyes at me as the noise
in the room started again.

‘You’re so
going to regret that later, Mia Page,’ he said in a low tone as the waiter
carried our beef to the table. I forgot all about sex for a while, as well as
the stinging and throbbing in my knee, as we ate our main course. It was divine
and the red wine went with it so well.

‘You’re
going to be drunk Gabe, you can’t hold your liquor,’ I smiled, as he drained
his glass and it was topped up again.

‘And you
can?’ he questioned. ‘No way was I letting you drink alone so I couldn’t take
advantage of you later.’

‘You
promise you will?
I’ve never been so hot for you as I am right now,
’ I
whispered.

‘O, I
promise baby. I feel the same, I can see your stiff nipples,’ he grinned with a
flick of his head. I reached down and caressed them through my dress, gently
pulling on them, I was so distracted by him that I’d not even realised they
were stiff. I looked up and smiled when I saw him staring with his mouth open
as my fingers lingered.

‘If you
think looking at me touching my nipples is bad Gabe, just imagine what you’ll
be like when you watch me touch myself down there,
I’m soaking wet.

‘O I am, trust
me, I already am. Damn it, I need the loo.’

‘Don’t you
dare play with yourself.’

Sssshhhh
,
whisper.’

‘Promise
you won’t.’

‘Baby come
on,’ he groaned. ‘He
hurts
he’s that hard.’

‘You do and
I’ll play hard to get later, so hard you won’t get any and don’t think I won’t
know if you’ve misbehaved,’ I warned. ‘I want every last drop of you.’ He let
out another turned on groan, then sighed and put his napkin on the table and
got up quickly buttoning his jacket to conceal his hardness. ‘I’ll be worth the
wait,’ I smiled as I looked up at him.

‘Never
doubted it for a single second baby.’ He ran his fingers over my lips and
walked away. I finished my wine and smiled as both of our glasses were topped
up again. Second bottle down, I was starting to feel quite tipsy. The table was
cleared and I was left with the dessert menu as Gabe brushed past and turned to
sit down and I flicked my eyes across to check he was still hard. I needn’t
have bothered, the look of pure frustration on his face was enough to tell me
he’d done as I asked and resisted touching himself.

‘So I think
I was right,’ he said as he flicked his napkin back over his lap.

‘About
what?’

‘That woman’s
husband just followed me to the toilets to make small talk and asked if we were
going to join them at the club tomorrow.’
