There would be free hours for recreation before dinner, and I wanted to take Elisa out on the slopes. I had it all planned. I was going to surprise her with a new outfit. I’d had top of the line ski gear and clothes delivered and I couldn’t wait to see her bundled up like my sexy little snow bunny. I’ll admit, the thought of a short make out session on a ski lift might have crossed my mind as well.

After a few more kisses, I reminded her of her work obligations and enjoyed it when she sighed in disappointment. I silently gloated as I led her back to the bedroom where her surprise waited. I was afraid she would protest, but she squealed with delight and I couldn’t help the pride puffing up my chest. I knew Elisa wasn’t after my money, so her excitement at seeing my present filled me with content happiness.

“Get ready and I’ll meet you in the front room with a drink before we head down.”

She gathered her things and practically danced into the bathroom. Knowing her naked body was just on the other side of that door slowed me down considerably. I changed my clothes, left the bedroom to make us each a martini, and used the opportunity for a quick phone call, arranging for something I hoped to need before we left Monday morning.

Elisa joined me just as I hung up the phone and my tongue fell out of my mouth. Her white, fitted pants and jacket had dark blue piping, accentuating her long, lithe body. They were paired with knee-high, white boots and a hood, both lined with fur. The white, turtleneck sweater underneath molded to all the right places. I knew Jackass would be drooling and for a moment, I considered not letting anyone else see her like that. But I wouldn’t take away her opportunity to shove his stupidity in his face, nor for me to make it very clear she was off limits.

I swirled my finger, silently telling her to spin and show off the whole package. She rolled her eyes, but did as requested, even giving me a little shimmy of her very fine ass.

“You keep shaking that spectacular ass and we’ll never make it out of this room,” I warned. She laughed and stilled her movements, much to my regret. I handed her a drink and we finished them off in silence, enjoying the view, her eyes on the window and mine on her.

“Ready to go?” she asked as she set her glass on the sideboard. I nodded, following her example.

“Wait, one last thing.” I gripped her arm and tugged until her chest pressed up against mine. Then I proceeded to kiss the fuck out of her. After I released her, I surveyed the aftereffects, satisfied Zach would clearly see I had no problem getting her hot and bothered. She’d mentioned his asinine comments about her being frigid and I was looking forward to the look on his face when he realized he wasn’t man enough to make her burn.

“Now, we’re ready to go.” I smirked.

I took her hand and we made our way to the third level where there were several conference rooms. I smiled widely when I saw the astonished expression on the little shit’s face. He was decked out in tan slacks and a pale green polo with the collar turned up; his hair neatly parted and waxed into place without a single stray. He looked like he needed the stick removed from his ass and I seriously questioned how Elisa had seen anything in him.

His plastic companion was glaring, her eyes bouncing between Elisa and Zach. I slipped my arm around Elisa’s waist and pulled her in close, softly kissing her temple. She looked up at me, her eyes shining with amusement, and I caved to the urge to kiss her sweet lips.

We found our name cards and I felt Elisa stiffen at the realization we were sharing a table with Thing One and Thing Two. I mentally shrugged. It gave me even more chances to get my hands all over Elisa. I pulled out her chair and ran my fingers through her loose tresses, then took a seat. I rested my arm across the back of her chair, continuing to toy with the silky strands.

For the most part, I ignored the duo seated across from us, but when I did get a glimpse of them, I reveled in the sour looks on their faces. Barbie...I mean, Brittany, was doing her best to drape herself all over Zach, and he was trying to extricate himself from her tentacles while attempting to catch Elisa’s eye.

Elisa didn’t seem to notice either of them. She paid attention to the presentation and instinctively melted back into me. I inwardly smiled. She was already getting used to my presence and feeling safe enough with me to let down her guard. I’d made no bones about wanting her while still reigning in my actions, afraid of  overwhelming her, but her relaxed state and forward comments from earlier made me decide it was time to up my game.

Going forward, I wasn’t going to be so subtle about how much I adored her and my determination to spend the rest of my life with her. Before we left this resort, she would have no doubt about our future either.

Lunch finally concluded and we bundled up to enjoy the crisp winter air. Elisa had only skied a few times in her life and I was looking forward to helping her improve. I intended to take a very hands-on approach.

She chattered excitedly while we waited for our turn on the lift. Once we were securely in the glass enclosure, I dragged her into my arms.

“I’ve been waiting all day to do this,” I growled before sealing my mouth over hers.

Chapter 6
Elisa

O
ur kisses quickly got hot and heavy, enough to steam up the bubble surrounding us. The lift had turned into a swinging cocoon of privacy where all my inhibitions flew out the fogged window. It felt like we were floating over the mountain in our own little world—a place where the only thing frigid was the weather outside. Brysen had the power to make me melt into a puddle with the smallest of touches.

“The first orgasm I gave you put us in the mile high club,” he murmured in my ear as he unsnapped my snow pants. “I like the idea of the second one getting us into the bubble club.”

“What’s the bubble club?” I breathed out in a puff of air when his fingers slid into my panties.

“Same thing as the mile high club, but in an enclosed ski lift,” he answered, pulling the zipper all the way down one side of my pants.

I gripped the material, holding it in place as Brysen slid to his knees in front of me. My passion cooled at the ease of his answers and how comfortable he seemed with sex on a ski lift. “I don’t think I can do this.”

Brysen’s fingers stopped moving as soon as the words left my mouth. He looked up at me, his eyes dark with desire. “The fuck you can’t. Leave it to me. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy this while I make you come again. It’s been hours since I’ve felt your pussy clench against my fingers and I need it. Now.”

“Brysen,” I sighed, shaking my head.

“Tell me what’s wrong and I’ll fix it, baby.” He was so darn confident in his abilities. Why wouldn’t he be? He was Brysen Mariano, after all. It only made me more hesitant to explain, but the determined gleam in his eye made it obvious he wasn’t going to let me get away with not answering.

“It sounds silly because of your past, but I find it hard to believe you’ve never joined either club before today.”

His worried frown turned into a smug grin. “And the idea bothers you?”

I shoved at his shoulder. “You don’t have to sound so satisfied by my stupid jealousy.”

“Fuck yeah, I do,” he disagreed while shoving my hand out of the way and letting my pant leg drop, exposing my underwear on one side. “It means I’m not alone in feeling like this.”

He tugged my panties to the side and leaned forward until I felt his hot breath against my skin. “Is that supposed to make me feel better?” I asked, my voice cracking. “I’ve always thought of you as mine and I have no problem knowing you see me the same way.” He was virtually impossible to resist before, but now that he called me his, I didn’t know how I’d be able to hold out any longer. It made me feel different from the women who came before me. My defenses were crumbling and the flash of triumph in his eyes made it evident he knew how close I was to caving. Then, he went in for the kill. “You’re wrong, you know. These are firsts for me, too. I’ve never felt possessive over a woman before. Never joined the mile high club. And I never did anything like this on a ski lift. It was never worth the risk of getting caught until now.”

“Really?” I gasped.

“I’ll never lie to you, baby,” he promised. “Open your legs and give me a little taste to tide me over until we make it back to our room later.”

My legs parted as though they had a will of their own, my thoughts scattering at the touch of his tongue on my clit. He gave it a quick lick before blowing against my pussy lips and flicking his tongue around my clit. I watched with rapt attention as he tortured me with his mouth. Plunging my hands into his hair, I tried to bring his face closer and huffed in irritation when the other leg of my ski pants restricted me from spreading my legs wider. The sound spurred him on and he tongue-fucked me until I was writhing with need. I jumped when the lift jerked, my eyes darting over his shoulder only to see we were nearing the top of the mountain.

“Hurry, Brysen,” I pleaded, desperate to climax before everyone could see us. The fear of getting caught excited me, but I didn’t want it to actually happen.

He chuckled darkly and wrapped his lips around my clit, sucking hard as he thrust two fingers inside me. The combination sent me over the edge. Brysen gave me a few more licks before sitting back on his heels. I was a boneless heap in my seat while he fixed my panties and zipped my snow pants back up. When the lift stopped, he was back in his seat, the sheen of my wetness on his chin and the outline of his hard-on the only evidence of what we’d been doing on the ride up.

Brysen stepped off first and then turned to help me. Once I was safely on the ground, he leaned over to whisper in my ear. “Living out my fantasies with you makes me hard as fuck. I’m so hard, I bet I could use a third ski to go down the mountain.”

It was the perfect thing to say, eliminating any awkwardness I might have felt and making me giggle at the image of him strapping a ski onto his dick. The laughter continued for the couple hours we had on the mountain before dinner. Brysen was a more advanced skier, but he didn’t seem to mind skipping the black diamonds to stay on the intermediate slopes with me. I fell a couple times and he was always quick to help me up, copping a feel of my ass along the way. We had so much fun, I hated to leave the slopes to get ready for dinner.

After squeezing in one last run, we had to rush back to the room and quickly change so we’d make it there on time. When we walked into the restaurant, everyone else was already seated. My eyes scanned the room and immediately spotted the only two empty seats at a table for four with Zach and his blowjob bimbo.

“Crap,” I muttered, my steps slowing.

Brysen’s hand tightened on my arm. “Who did you manage to piss off to get seated with him again?”

“Nobody,” I sighed. “But we were the subject of a lot of office gossip, so I’m sure there are plenty of people looking forward to seeing a possible train wreck in person.”

“So it’s just a matter of petty office bullshit then.” He let go of me and slid his arm around my shoulder, pulling me close as we neared the table. “Buck up, my little snow bunny. We’ve got this.”

“I think I need some liquid courage,” I replied wryly as he helped me into my chair.

He signaled for the waiter before taking his seat. “Two glasses of Glenfiddich 50 on the rocks.”

“Fine choice, sir.” The waiter scurried off to do Brysen’s bidding.

“Elisa doesn’t like scotch.” Zach’s statement came out of nowhere. He didn’t have any way of knowing whether I liked it or not since I’d never tried it in front of him.

“Maybe she didn’t like the kind a guy like you would order, but I’m sure it wasn’t in the same class as what I drink. Only five hundred bottles of the Glenfiddich 50 were made. Elisa deserves the very best, after all.”

Zach’s attempt to imply he knew me better than Brysen backfired in a major way since he wasn’t about to fall for it. His years in the NFL and the many press interviews that went with it served him well in the dinner that followed. With each verbal attack Zach lobbed our way, Brysen countered it with one of his own—only he paired his with visible displays of affection. Zach’s eyes flashed each time Brysen played with my hair or lifted my hand to his mouth for a kiss. And Brittany continued to drink heavily while she stewed silently at Zach’s side and threw eye daggers my way until she finally exploded.

“I’ve had enough!” she shrieked. “I don’t know what either of you see in her, but it’s clear she’s really into this guy. I don’t know why you’re even paying her any attention. You picked me, Zach. Not her. And you’d better remember that before I decide I can do better.”

She gave Brysen a meaningful look and I finally got pissed off. I hadn’t confronted her when I’d caught her giving Zach a blowjob, but I wasn’t about to sit here while she implied she could steal Brysen away from me too. “You better keep your slutty eyes off my boyfriend because he isn’t interested.”

“Oh, please,” Brittany sputtered. “I’m sure it would be just as easy to turn his attention my way as it was Zach. I hate to break it to you, but real men like a warm body in their bed, not an ice queen who likes it missionary.”

“Shut the fuck up,” Brysen ordered, his voice low so it didn’t carry across the room but stern enough that we fell silent.

“He isn’t a real man,” he hissed, pointing at Zach before turning his attention to Brittany. “You sure as hell have no chance of ever knowing what I like in bed.”

His hand gripped mine tightly as he dug into his pocket, pulling a jewelry box out. He flipped the lid open, lifted the sparkling diamond solitaire out, and slid it on my ring finger—a perfect fit. “And Elisa was being polite when she called me her boyfriend, but her one downfall is she’s too damn polite. She didn’t want to rub our engagement in Zach’s face even after what he’d done to her.”

Chapter 7
Brysen

E
lisa covered her shock like a pro, but her eyes were a little wild as she looked from me, to the ring, to Zach, and back.

“Um, yes. I was...” she trailed off, apparently at a loss for words. I gave the little devil inside my head a mental fist bump. I might have specifically pulled the ring out in this situation because she couldn’t protest. Fuck, that’s
exactly
why I did it.
