On the other hand, technical expertise alone does not suffice, either. Form is the necessary and skilled embodiment of the poet’s moral urgency, the poet’s method of self-revelation.

In fact, it has been noted that natural selection could conceivably, in the long run, tend to favor aggressive murderous psychopaths to the extent that they are able to wipe out passive, peace-loving peoples.
