Jett grinned as he raised one eyebrow. “My thoughts exactly, but there’s just enough to the idea that makes sense. I’m willing to try.”

She cocked her head to one side and he knew she was considering their plan. Finally she nodded, almost as if she’d answered her own questions. “I’d like to be part of it. Part of both of you.” When Jett nodded, she sidled close to him and ran her fingers over his hip. His cock twitched in response.

“Come here.” Locan turned and smiled at her. Crooked one finger in invitation. Jett sighed as she floated away from him, as Locan turned, wrapped his hands around her waist and lifted her as if she weighed nothing at all. Then he sat her on the slick stone surface in front of him, with her legs dangling in the warm water.

She leaned back, bracing herself on her hands with elbows locked. Locan spread her thighs and lifted her legs over his shoulders. Relaxing her arms, she lay back, baring herself to both men. “My thoughts are open.” She chuckled. “Uh, along with the rest of me. I’m going to concentrate on the demon’s visuals.” She rolled her eyes—Jett chuckled. Like that was really going to happen. Then Addie raised her head and focused on Locan. “Show me how to connect. Then do your best.”

Locan glanced over his shoulder at Jett. “That sounded suspiciously like a dare.”

“I agree.” Jett ran his fingers along the deep crease between Locan’s buttocks, pausing and pressing over his taut anal ring. Back and forth, slippery with the soap, pressing a bit harder on each pass. He gained entrance. Locan groaned and turned to Addie, dipped his head and lifted her legs higher against his shoulders. When Locan stroked between Addie’s legs with the flat of his tongue, Jett tasted her.

At the same time, he felt Locan’s soft lick over Addie’s feminine lips, almost as if the man had run his tongue over Jett’s balls as well. “Holy shit.” The words escaped on a hiss of desire. His entire body tensed until he felt like a single straining overstimulated nerve. This deeper link opened up all kinds of possibilities, though he still didn’t make the connection with the demon’s thoughts.

Did it really matter with sensations like this?

Jett pressed his middle finger deeper into Locan, stretched the taut ring of muscle, and added a second finger. Locan moaned.

Jett felt his own ass twitch in response; his muscles clenched. Locan leaned forward and stroked the length of Addie’s sex, sweeping his tongue from perineum to clit. The three of them groaned. Jett’s hands were trembling when he wrapped his fist around his cock and rubbed the tip between Locan’s cheeks. He felt the slick stroke against his own ass.

Impossible, and yet as he pressed forward, it felt as if someone pushed against him, and when he forced entry, the sharp burn was as real for Jett as for Locan. And for Addie.

“Oh, fuck.” Addie cursed and arched her back. Locan increased the pressure with his tongue, increased the speed of his licks, circling Addie’s clit, sucking on the tiny mass of nerves. Jett felt all of it as if it happened to him. Shuddering, his body strung tight with almost blinding lust, he drove deep inside Locan, almost whimpering with pleasure as Locan’s tight sheath squeezed the length of his cock. Gripped him tight as he withdrew.

Addie and Locan groaned in unison. Jett experienced their thoughts, their arousal, like a burning brand stroking him from the inside out. When he filled Locan, he knew Addie felt the same fullness, the same burning pressure that was so much more than pain, so much more intense than pleasure. An intimately shared experience . . . every touch in Addie, in Locan, in himself.

Too fast—the constant loop of sensation was going to take all of them over the edge, and yet they’d not gone beyond the physical. None of them had opened to their deeper thoughts, to the memories, the opinions, the thought processes that made them who they were.

Nor had any of them brought the demonic visuals into play.

Holding on to what little control he had left, fighting the need to give in to the flood of sensations, Jett forced open what he could only call the window on his soul. Forced it open as Addie and Locan did the same.

Together, they fell into a spiraling whirlpool of memory, of fear and lust and pain. Pulled down, held captive by the screams of a thousand demonic souls.

Chapter 4

“Where the hell are we?” Addie was almost certain she was still in the bathing pool, still stretched out on the damp stones with her legs over Locan’s shoulders and his mouth pressed to her sex, but she couldn’t be there and here, too.

Could she? Except she was positive that’s exactly what was going on. “This is just bizarre.”

Jett’s voice slipped into her mind, and yet she heard it, too, though it was barely a whisper.

“I know for a fact that I’m still buried inside Locan, but another part of my head says I’m standing in what appears to be a drawing.”

“I agree on the way this looks,” said Locan, “but if it’s a drawing, it’s definitely three-dimensional. I can taste Addie on my tongue and feel your cock in my ass, but I’m standing in the middle of a cartoon forest.” He paused for just a moment. “Um, simple explanations are more than welcome.”

“Not really cartoon.” Addie couldn’t believe where they were, but it was the only answer. “It’s CGI animation, like the stuff you see in movies. I think we’ve pulled up the visuals from the demon.” Addie concentrated on her surroundings. In the visual world the three of them shared, Locan stood beside her, Jett behind the two of them, and she saw her men as animated art—almost but not quite lifelike, complete with outlines and brilliant colors. “The images felt sort of familiar when he showed me. Does anything here remind you of—”

“A video game,” Jett said. “But not the same one Demonikus came from.”

“Thank goodness for that.” Addie had been the one to identify Demonikus. He was a nasty bit of work, the demon who killed the boys’ last fulcrum, and he’d been damned hard to destroy. His victim, Leah, bit Addie when Addie tried to help her as she lay dying—and that one bite turned an out-of-work accountant into an immortal demon slayer.

If not for Leah, Addie wouldn’t be the new fulcrum for Jett and Locan.

Not that she was complaining, though it might have been nice to have some say in the matter of such a major life change, but Demonikus had been one ugly opponent. And the only thing that had finally killed him was fire.

The thought of burning up that cute little demon back in the cavern was just . . . well, it wasn’t something she really wanted to do.

“If not Demonikus, then what?”

She thought about Locan’s question, but it was hard to concentrate. Damn but Locan made for one beautiful CGI-animated figure! Ivory skin, silver hair, and eyes of brilliant blue. And as muscular as he was in real life, his CGI abs and pecs were amazing, but ogling Locan wasn’t getting the job done, so she dragged herself back to the issue at hand.

Which took her back to life before Leah, before the boys and this whole new life. Back to her job in the real world. One of her coworkers was always playing video games at work, and now that Jett had mentioned them, she was almost certain this place where they stood now, the demon they’d captured, both were from a video game she’d seen.

If she could only remember . . . “More sex,” she said, laughing. “It will help me remember what game the visuals remind me of.”

Locan chuckled. Jett did a fist pump in the air, and the animated world she’d been standing in slipped away. Once again Addie was lying on the cool stone floor with Locan’s very hot mouth between her legs. And, from the shared sensations flooding her mind, Jett hadn’t missed a stroke.

Jett thought about the three of them, the way they connected on so many levels in everything they did, but he realized there was no comparison to the connection they found when they made love. And this time, actively working to connect on an even deeper level was taking him places he’d never imagined.

He
was
Locan, and at the same time, he was Addie and himself and the three of them together. The sensations spilled—one upon the other—in a harmonious blend that raised his mental and emotional awareness even as his body trembled with three distinct sets of impressions.

Everything felt sharper. The slide of his cock through Locan’s sleek warmth and the way the man’s tight sphincter clamped down on the root of Jett’s cock. The perfect clasp of that small muscle as it held him, clung to him each time he reached the apex of a stroke. The coarse brush of hair on his partner’s thighs, rubbing against his own, the thickness of Locan’s engorged cock clasped tightly in Jett’s right hand, and the firm weight of Locan’s testicles cupped in his left. Jett was every bit as aware of the wrinkled sac he held as he was of the calluses on the fingers that gently tugged and rolled the two orbs within.

He was feeling it—seeing it—all from both points of view. Even as he reveled in the sensations directly related to his own thrust and retreat, Jett was fully aware of the piercing fullness as Locan experienced the act, the thick slide of Jett’s cock filling him to the point of pain and yet giving nothing but pleasure, the way his fingers felt as he slid up and down Locan’s cock, squeezing tightly as they slid his foreskin over the slick crown and then down again, sliding soft skin over an erection as hard as iron.

He leaned close and kissed Locan’s broad shoulder, and realized there was a third point of view as he absorbed the taste of Addie on his tongue, the soft lips full and slick against his mouth. So many sensations, such intense feelings that they looped, one upon the other upon the next. Over and over, until he lost touch with the feelings, lost his anchor and floated within the colorful sensation of an impossible world once again.

And this time, he knew. That part of his mind that seemed to function independently of conscious thought must have been busily working through ideas totally apart from the amazing sensation of their tightly linked sexual experience. And the ideas he worked on were coming directly from Addie’s mind. Her link to his was so complete they delved within the same set of memories, the same bits and pieces of information.

He felt the first tingling at the base of his spine even as his imaginary vagina rippled with an oncoming climax. His balls tightened with too much sensation, too much to ignore. Orgasm slammed into him, into all of them, but when Jett raised his head in a feral cry of pleasure, it wasn’t merely a groan.

It was the answer to their question.

“The Trials of Moloch.” It felt as if the unfamiliar words ripped from his throat. He let out a huge gasp of air and thrust harder, spilling his seed deep inside Locan.

Addie’s scream ended on a burst of laughter. “You’re right,” she panted. “I remember that game. That’s why the demon looks familiar. All of them are characters from The Trials of Moloch.” She blew out a deep breath, sucked in another as her pussy clenched rhythmically, perfectly synced with Jett’s body, with Locan’s, so that all three felt each sensual contraction. “So what do we do about them?”

Locan rested his forehead on Addie’s belly. “They’re demons. Don’t we just figure out a way to kill the little bastards?”

“They’re not real demons.” Addie raised up on her elbows. “They’re characters from a fairly harmless video game. I think it’s only rated PG. Something is bringing them to life. We just need to figure out who’s bringing them into the real world and stop them so we can get the demon characters back into the game.”

“One of them did eat the assistant director.” Jett continued slowly sliding his hand up and down Locan’s softening cock, but since Locan wasn’t complaining, he kept it up. Somehow the repetitive motion helped him think. “But I agree—the one we caught doesn’t seem all that scary.”

He realized Locan was getting hard again. Any other time, that would be great, but they didn’t have time now. That sense of anxiety was returning, along with the need to go back to the Hollywood Hills. “Sorry, big guy. Play time’s over.” Jett planted a kiss on the back of Locan’s neck and slowly withdrew. As Locan’s taut muscles released his full length, Jett felt more relief than anything when he realized their link hadn’t gone nearly as deep as he’d feared.

Ideas, but no deep, dark secrets . . . not that he actually had any. At least none he could recall. When he’d opened himself to the link, they’d just ended up in the midst of the demon’s visuals. That he could handle. He sighed as his cock slipped free. He let go of Locan’s cock and balls.

“Well, damn. You’re no fun.” Laughing and muttering, Locan lifted Addie off the edge and swam with her into the deepest part of the pool, where the three of them could tread water while they talked.

“Ya know,” Addie said, “when I suggested it might be teen boy testosterone that was empowering Demonikus, I was kidding.”

“It’s primarily teen boys that play the things, right? This is the second call we’ve had for demons that originated in a video game. Maybe you were closer to the truth than you realized.” Jett stretched his legs out and stood. The water here came almost to his chin, which meant Addie had to stay in motion or go under. He held out his hand and she latched on to it, then tugged herself close and looped her arm around his neck.

Her legs floated just beneath the surface, long and sleek and way too inviting. Jett felt his cock’s slow rise and immediately jerked himself away from that line of thought and forced his gaze back to Locan. The two of them stared at one another and then burst out laughing. “Ya gotta love that testosterone. It’s definitely powerful stuff,” Jett said, with Locan nodding in agreement.

Addie rolled her eyes. “Behave, boys. So what do we do with demons who are all characters from a video game?”

“We find out why they’re here, how they broke free, and how we can get them back in the game where they belong.” Locan shrugged. “It only sounds moderately impossible.”

“Should we check with any other hunter teams, see if anyone has had a similar issue?”

Addie’s question made perfect sense. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the way things worked. “We get our orders depending on our expertise, and everyone’s cumulative knowledge is shared among all of us. We must be the ones who know the most or we wouldn’t have gotten the call.”

“Someday you’re going to have to explain this to me.” Addie rested her palms on his shoulder and her chin on the backs of her hands. Her legs floated out behind her. “I have no idea where the orders come from, or how I know the stuff I seem to know.”

“It’s not our job to understand.” Locan rolled his eyes. “We just follow orders and try not to get ourselves killed.”

“Okay.” Addie pushed off of Jett’s shoulder and swam toward the edge. “Then I guess it’s time to go talk to our little demon.” She lifted herself out of the pool and splashed both guys. “Party’s over, boys. It’s time to get back to work.”

He didn’t like the netting or the fact he couldn’t get away, and he didn’t like the way he looked—all dull colors and lumpy shapes. His real world was bright and wonderful and there was always something going on, but even when he got blasted with the biggest cannons, it didn’t hurt—not even when the shot killed him. The next time the game came on, he’d be fresh and alive and they’d do it all over again.

It was a good life. This wasn’t. He heard voices. It had to be the ones who’d captured him, though he wasn’t sure if they were good guys or bad. They hadn’t hurt him. They’d even tried to communicate, though their brains were so alien when they first connected that he’d not understood a thing. He’d been thinking about their words, though, and the images they’d given him, and he thought he finally understood. The language was like the one the humans used when they played the game. He knew that language. He had to think harder, but at least now he knew he could understand.

He sat back on his haunches and wrapped his arms around his legs. The net was hooked over his horns and tickled his nose, but he refused to act scared. Not until he knew there was really something to be afraid of.

But they were so big! As big as the body he’d been stuck inside. He hadn’t liked that at all, though at first it had been sort of fun to be as big as these creatures were. But it wasn’t him and it wasn’t what he knew. He didn’t mind being little, but it was a lot better being little when everyone else was the same size and he was in the place where he belonged.

All he wanted to do was go back home. These people were big. They should know how to get him back, shouldn’t they?

He sighed and rested his head on his bent knees. He really, really wanted to go home. Home where things were pretty colors and he wasn’t the only demon around. Home where he wasn’t expected to do anything except what he’d been designed to do—keep the game player from finding his pot of gold, and obey all the orders from his ruler.

He wished he knew why Moloch had brought them to that other world. He’d never been anywhere except the tunnels and trails within the game. That’s where he belonged. Not here. Not where everything was gray and wet and cold. Sighing, he stared at the stone walls of his prison and tried to figure out how to get home.
