When she walked to the reference desk, she noticed a large vase of flowers at her work station.
Curious, she opened the card attached to the arrangement.

For the most beautiful woman I know.

Love, Logan

Sienna smiled to herself. He was so sweet. Leaning over the flowers, she inhaled their fragrance.
She noticed the envious glances she was getting from her co-workers and slipped the card into her
purse. They would all see the newspaper article soon enough. No reason to have them all buzzing
any sooner than was necessary.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. Sienna was still unsettled by her run-in with the press, but
every time she glanced at her beautiful flowers she couldn’t help but smile. She was looking forward
to her evening with Logan. With a blush, she wondered if mind-blowing sex would be on the menu
as well as food. One day in Logan’s bed certainly hadn’t been enough.

Chapter Seven

After a long and somewhat boring day at work, minus her odd lunch, Sienna was finally home.
Closing the front door, she tossed her keys and purse on the small table in the entry. Kicking off
her shoes, she padded into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of tea.

Sighing, she glanced at the clock. It was six-thirty, which meant she had half an hour to unwind,
change and be ready for Logan. First, she wanted to get off her feet.

Grabbing her book, she curled up on the sofa with her tea and began to read. Before long, she
heard the doorbell ring.

Groaning, she realized that she had done it yet again. She had been so engrossed in her book that
she had once again lost track of the time. What was Logan going to think of her? This was the
second time, two days in a row at that, she hadn’t been ready for their date.

Climbing to her feet, she sat her book down and went to answer the door.

When she opened the door, Logan was smiling down at her. He had on a white button down
shirt with khaki pants and he looked good enough to eat.

“Come in,” she said, stepping back to give him room to enter.

Closing the door, she turned to him. “I’m afraid I did it again. I was reading a book after work
and lost track of the time. If you can give me a few minutes to change, I’ll be ready to go.”

He shook his head. “You don’t need to change. You look lovely in what you have on.”

She blushed and smiled at him. “Then just let me slip on my shoes.”

Putting her pink sandals back on, she grabbed her purse and keys. “I’m ready if you are.”

Pulling her into his arms, he kissed her. It was just a quick, light kiss, but it was enough to start a
fire in both of them. Passion was definitely not something they lacked.

In the car on the way to the restaurant, Sienna decided to tell Logan about her afternoon.

“I had an unusual lunch today,” she said.

“Oh? In what way?”

“I was reading my book when I noticed some flashes. I thought someone was taking pictures of
their family or the scenery. When I looked up, there was a reporter across the street. He was taking
pictures of me.”

Logan looked over at her. “Is that all he did?”

She shook her head. “No, he came over and asked some questions. He wanted to know if we
were engaged and why I didn’t have on a ring. He asked if I was just after your money or if I loved
you.”

A grin twitched the corner of his mouth. “And what did you tell him?”

“That we hadn’t decided on a ring yet,” she answered, being obtuse on purpose.

“That wasn’t what I meant you and you know it. But now that you mention it, we should get the
ring part taken care of tonight so that won’t happen again.”

She shook her head. “You don’t have to buy me an engagement ring for a pretend engagement.”

“Yes, I do. Otherwise, no one will ever believe it’s real.”

She sighed, admitting defeat… for the moment. “I told him that of course I loved you; that any
woman would be lucky to have you and would have to be crazy
not
to love you.”

He smiled. “I’m glad to hear it.”

On the way to the restaurant, Logan pulled up to a jewelry store. Sienna’s gaze slid to him. He
was really going to buy her a ring for a sham of an engagement?

“I meant what I said. You don’t have to buy a ring.”

“Yes I do, now stop arguing and get out of the car.”

Shaking her head in frustration, she got out of the car and followed him into the store. He went
straight for the largest diamonds in the place, naturally. Sienna went to the opposite side and looked
at smaller, lower quality stones.

He walked up behind her and put his hands on her waist. “What are you doing?”

“Looking at rings,” she said in a tone that said
isn’t it obvious?

He shook his head. “I’m not buying you one of those so you’re wasting your time. Come on,”
he said with a tug on her hand. He led her to the middle of the diamond counters.

“How about if we compromise? You don’t want the big flashy rings that I keep looking at and I
refuse to buy you a low quality one. So what about one in the middle?”

“I guess that would be okay,” she relented.

In the end, Sienna had a two carat emerald cut diamond on a platinum band with small diamond
clusters on either side. It was way more ostentatious than she had wanted, but it seemed to be a big
deal to Logan.

At the restaurant, they were seated in a small private area where the more well-known clientele
had their meals. Sienna glanced around and noticed an actor, a famous writer, and a few other faces
that seemed familiar. She felt exceedingly out of place.

Logan reached across the table and took her hand in his. He rubbed his thumb across her
knuckles and admired the ring on her finger. Even if it was just for pretend, it still felt remarkable to
be engaged to such a wonderful woman. He also noticed the subtle, and not-so-subtle, glances of
the other diners in their area. He figured by tomorrow morning the news would be out everywhere
– Logan Drake was off the market!

“Are you okay, Sienna?”

“Of course I am.”

He looked at her uncertainly. “You seem a little tense.”

She shrugged her shoulder. “I guess I’m just not used to all of this,” she answered with a nod in
the direction of the famous people surrounding them.
He
may hang around famous people all the
time, but
she
certainly didn’t.

He smiled. “I think that’s what I love about you. Any other woman would be fawning over all
the attention she was receiving from so many famous people. But you… you just wish that you
were elsewhere, away from their scrutiny.”

“Is that a bad thing?”

Logan shook his head. “Not at all. You’re a breath of fresh air.”

Sienna smiled and relaxed. If Logan Drake could be as laid back as he was, surely some of the
other famous people around her were the same. She just had to think of them as every day normal
people. Okay, so their version of a normal day was nothing like hers, but it was average for them.

After dinner, Logan drove Sienna back to her place. He walked her to her door and hesitated. He
wanted to kiss her goodnight, but she had been so tense all evening he wasn’t sure if his advance
would be appreciated.

Sensing his hesitation, Sienna looked up at him. “Would you like to come in for a minute?”

He flashed her a grin and nodded. “I’d like that.”

Following her into the house, he looked around the place. He’d been to her place twice now, but
he always found a new discovery when he walked through her home. He hadn’t noticed the small
family portrait on the bookshelf before or the fact that the pull cord on her ceiling fan had a crystal
rabbit dangling from the end. Every time he was here, he discovered something new about Sienna.

“Would you like something to drink?” she asked, kicking off her shoes and motioning toward the
kitchen.

“No, thank you.”

Sienna tilted her head and studied him a moment. Her gaze travelled from his well-groomed hair,
across the strong planes of his face, across his broad shoulders and chest, down to his waist. When
she noticed the bulge in his pants, she blushed.

Feeling brave, she sauntered over to him and placed her hands on his chest. Pushing up on her
tiptoes, she pressed her lips against his. When she felt his mouth open under hers, she slipped her
tongue between his lips to play with his. Her hand slid down his abdomen, paused briefly at the
waistband of his pants, and then explored further; her fingers glided over the hard ridge of him,
straining against the khakis.

Logan picked her up and carried her to the sofa. Thankfully the blinds had all been drawn so no
one could see inside the house. He gently lowered her to her feet and reached for the zipper on the
back of her dress. Slowly he lowered the zipper, exposing her creamy back. He pushed the dress
off her shoulders and watched it puddle at her feet. His hot gaze took in the lacy white material of
her bra and panties. He could see her nipples clearly through the thin fabric, aroused and ready for
his touch. His eyes travelled down her soft, silky stomach to her panties. Her red hair was visible
through them. He reached out and gently slid his fingers between her legs. The lacy material was
wet with her hot moisture.

Sienna unfastened the buttons on Logan’s shirt. Pulling the material free from his pants, she
pushed it off his shoulders and onto the floor. Reaching for his belt, she unfastened it and slid it free
of the belt loops. As she reached for the button on his pants, she leaned forward and took his
nipple into her mouth. As her teeth grazed him, she heard a sharp intake of breath. She felt his dick
jump against the fabric of his pants and quickly unzipped them, pushing them down his legs.

She stepped closer, pressing her body to his and she pulled his head down for another kiss. Her
hand slipped between their bodies to caress the hard length of him through the silky material of his
boxer briefs. She didn’t know what they were made of, but they molded to him, accentuating every
ridge, every curve.

Logan reached behind Sienna and unfastened her bra. He pushed it up over her breasts and
cupped them with his large hands. His thumbs flicked her nipples, making her gasp with pleasure.

She pulled back and looked up into his eyes. They burned as brightly as hers did with a need
stronger than both of them. Her bra slipped free of her body and she felt Logan’s hands on her
waist, coaxing her panties down her legs. When she stood before him, naked and desperately
wanting him, he turned her to face the sofa.

Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, “Kneel on the sofa and prop your arms up on the back of
it.”

She shivered in anticipation of what he was going to do. Climbing onto the sofa as he had
instructed, she placed her shaking hands on the back of it.

Standing behind her, his chest close enough to her back that she could feel the heat rising from
his skin, Logan braced a hand alongside hers on the back of the sofa. Whispering in her ear again,
he said, “Spread your legs for me.”

The anticipation was about to kill Sienna. She did as he said, spreading her legs the width of the
sofa cushion she was kneeling on. She felt his hot mouth trail kisses across the back of her neck and
shoulders. His hand branded a fiery trail down her back to her hip. He massaged her hip a moment
before sliding his hand behind her. Fingers trailing over her ass, Logan reached between her legs,
spreading her.

She was so slick and so hot that he had to fight not to lose control. He wanted to please her
before taking his own pleasure. Gently massaging her clit with his fingers, he felt a tremor run
through her body.
