Henry looked at the empty coffee
cups and nodded.
‘You look tired,’ said Gil.
‘I am,’ Henry agreed. ‘I just don’t
want to go to bed, that’s all.’
Gil said nothing, but he knew what Henry
was feeling.
Henry said, ‘To tell you the truth,
I’m afraid to dream.’
