“It’s called a floating diamond eternity ring. I believe it is befitting under the circumstances.” The ring was encircled with delicate diamonds in a setting that did make them look as if they were floating. Tears welled up in her eyes. “If you don’t like it and want to pick something else, it’s fine with me.”

“Ssh…I love it—it’s perfect.” She wrapped her arms around his neck. The ring, while beautiful, wasn’t important. He could’ve given her a gold band and she would’ve been touched by the gesture.

“I’m glad. I want you to be happy. I have a lot of making up to do.” He covered her mouth and kissed her until she had to break away, panting hard.

“The ring is beautiful. But that kiss…you deserve a reward.” She pushed him back and straddled his lap.

“Really? What’s my reward?” He placed his arms behind his head and watched her.

“Me.” She traced the sculpted muscles that banded over his chest.

He sat up. “I’ll never take you for granted again. I swear it. Tell me what else I can do to make you happy and it’s yours. More diamonds?” He caressed her lower lip with his thumb.

“I have everything I want. There isn’t anything else. I guess I’m a simple girl. Diamonds, I’m afraid, don’t really impress me all that much.” She pressed into him, gliding her hands along the length of his spine. His whole body shuddered in response.

“Anything else?” His voice sounded with a deep purr of satisfaction.

“You promise to love me forever?” When her hips instinctively moved against him, he seized her waist, licking her neck with a flick of his tongue. Heat flooded her core and she ground against his thick length.

“I promise you an eternity by my side.” He kissed her deeply, mercilessly thrusting against her.

“Good, then let me give you your reward,” she panted.

“You already have.” He rolled her over and entered her again.

About Erin Simone

I have been writing for several years and truly enjoy it. I work in the legal field during the day. To say my life is very full is an understatement, but I would not change a thing because I am blessed. I am never bored when I am sitting at the computer engrossed in the world I am creating for others to enjoy. I don’t get much sleep, but I can sleep when I am dead. Thank god for coffee and energy drinks. Writing is my passion. Everyone should follow their dreams and live life to the fullest—this is my dream.

I love romance and believe in the fairy tale. I’m a sappy romantic at heart, and addicted to putting my crazy romantic thoughts on paper. When I was eleven, I read all of Judy Blume’s books. My favorite was her adult book,
Wifey
; I had the good parts marked. I will never forget that book or the impact it had on me. Needless to say, I love a juicy romance novel filled with sizzling passion, a hunky powerful male and a happy ending. I enjoy being swept away by it. I love fantasy romance: Laurann Dohner, Kresley Cole, Gina Showalter, Jaid Black and Larissa Ione, to name a few. These authors are an inspiration to me in this craft. Writing is a passion. As Laurann Dohner said so eloquently, “There is nothing better than a really HOT book!” I agree.

Happy reading, everyone.
