BUZZ… BUZZ …BUZZ

Fuck, damn alarm. I wasn’t ready to get up for class, I knew Brody would still be clowning on me today. I would pay his ass back, I knew he would have someone over soon. I headed to class in hopes I would not run into Alyssa. I knew if I avoided her she would eventually take the hint. I had an interview at a law firm next week and I didn’t want distractions. I had heard nothing but good things about this law firm. It was close to the loft and campus, also.

I’d crammed as many classes into my schedule as I could, but forgot that I would need to make time to work and an internship. I had received scholarships to help pay for college. My parents didn’t have a lot of money since they both worked in education. I had actually received a full ride football scholarship to the University and Alabama, which made my parents and grandparents thrilled. I love spending my summers there but I didn’t want to live there. That wasn’t where I wanted to be and I knew I wanted more than to be stuck there.

I worked my ass off to get into NYU with an honors scholarship, and my grandparents helped by paying up the rest of my tuition. My grandparents had money, my grandfather’s farm had them set for the rest of their lives. At one time I thought about just working on the farm for the rest of my life, but that just wasn’t me. I wanted to meet new people and explore the world. If I lived in Birmingham that would never happen.

As I walked down Park Avenue headed to my interview, I ran right into a beautiful blonde with a gorgeous smile. “Oh Ma’am, I’m so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.” I said as she looked up into my eyes and said.

“It’s okay, and please don’t call me Ma’am.” I smiled back at her and gave her an apologetic wink.

“Evan Martin and you are?”

She hesitated for a moment then she took my hand and replied, “Malory Salem.”

“Well it was very nice meeting you, Malory. I’m running late, I hope to run into you again.” She just smiled and walked away.

As I walked into the law firm, I thought about Malory. I should have asked for her number, but she seemed in a hurry. I checked in with the receptionist and she gave me paper work to fill out. I sat there what seemed like forever before an older woman approached me and took back into a very large conference room, and she interviewed me for her supervisor. She informed me that they would contact me in a week or two.

It had been almost three weeks since my interview, classes were going really well. I tried to avoid Alyssa as much as possible but she wouldn’t go away. She asked me to meet her for dinner, and I thought it would be a perfect time to tell her I just wanted to be friends and nothing more. Brody was still seeing her friend, on and off. I had never been annoyed or stalked by a girl before but Alyssa was doing both.

I met Alyssa at her place. I hoped she wasn’t home alone but of course she was. As she opened the door I could see she was practically naked.

“Hey handsome, you ready to have a good time?” she asked. I needed to let her know the truth.

“Look Alyssa, I came to tell you that I’m not interested in you at all. I think that we should just stop seeing each other for good.” I said as I tried to make it sound like I wasn’t trying to hurt her feelings. But I didn’t want anything to do with this girl.

“Come on Evan, we are good together. I know no one can make you feel the way I do. No one can make you come the way I do.” She said, as she approached me and started rubbing my chest.

Damn her, I wasn’t fucking her. I know that is what she wants. “No Alyssa. I’m done and I will just be honest, I’m not attracted to you at all. I’m sorry if I hurt you in anyway.”

She stopped rubbing my chest then she pushed me up against the wall, and started unzipping my jeans. I threw my head against the wall, fuck I can’t do this with her.

“No Alyssa, you can’t do this!” I said as she looked at me with hurt and anger in her eyes.

“Evan, please let me do this one last time. Then you can leave and I won’t contact you again.”

Fuck, why did she have to look at me like that?

“Fine this will be the last time,” I said as she pulled my pants down.

As she tried to get me aroused, all I thought about was Malory’s smile. I wish I knew how to find her. I thought about asking around campus, but I didn’t. Oh damn, Alyssa did have one thing going for her, she was awesome when it came to oral.

“Fuck me Evan, please just this last time.” She said as she pulled her panties down and backed her ass up to me, goddamn I didn’t want to fuck her but she had me so worked up, and once she pushed that ass into me, it made me want to be buried in her.

I grabbed a condom out of my wallet, slid it on and started giving it to her nice and hard just as she asked. I grabbed her hips and thrust in and out just as I was about to come I was imagining fucking Malory. Fuck, why was I thinking about her like that?

“Evan that was the best.” Alyssa said, only if she knew I wasn’t thinking about her while I was buried deep inside of her.

I kissed her cheek and said, “Goodbye Alyssa.” I left hoping that was the last I seen of her.

It had been a week, and I hadn’t seen or spoke to Alyssa. I had been focusing on my classes and I finally got the job at the law firm. It was Friday night and Zander, Brody and I was going to a new bar I had heard about. I needed to dance and have a few drinks. When we get there, I see it is a karaoke bar.

Great. I knew Brody would say something about me singing. I loved to sing and play guitar. I ordered a beer and downed it. Then I ordered another, Brody laughed and said, “You going to sing, dude?” I knew he would ask. I threw my head back laughing after giving him a wink.

“Yes, I think I will.” I said.

I searched through the song book and knew exactly what I what I was looking for in there. I knew most of the lyrics as I started to sing “The Troubles With Girls” by Scotty McCreery.

I had seen a beautiful blonde silhouette standing in front of me with the deepest color of brown eyes. I knew that smile, I would remember it anywhere. I was lost in the lyrics and her eyes, then I was smacked by reality and saw Alyssa.

Why the hell was Malory with Alyssa and Cara? I had to talk to her I couldn’t let her walk away tonight. I finished the song, and noticed she was gone. Where the hell could she have went that fast? I glanced over at the bar and I saw her, she was wearing a deep purple dress. Her hair was laying in beautiful blonde curls down her back.

“Hey um…Malory is it?” I asked, I knew damn well what her name was though.

She looked at me with that beautiful smile, and said “Yes, how did you remember? Evan right?”

I smiled, took her hand, and placed a kiss on top of it. “Yes, it is Evan. Dance with me.” I said as I reached for her hand again.

She had a puzzled look on her face as she spoke and said, “Aren’t you with Alyssa?”

Why the hell would she think that? Alyssa and I had been over and we were never really together.

“No, Alyssa and I are just friends, Mal.” I said.

I noticed her smile faded a little, but then she had a twinkle in her eye and took my hand and we headed to the dance floor. The off key lyrics of “Hot in Here” by Nelly was being fed through the speakers when we stepped out on the floor. I hoped someone would sing a slow song, so I could get even closer to this woman. She had her back against me and was dancing and grinding on me.

I needed to step back a little, she had the bulge in my pants ready to bust my fucking zipper out. Her aroma was breathe taking. She smelled like vanilla. My hands were on her hips, I pulled her closer to me and nuzzled my chin in her neck. She let out a little moan.

Then the music changed to “Chasing Pavements” by Adele. I spun her around to look into her eyes. Damn she was beautiful.

“Evan, you sure can dance. I thought I would never see you again. Then when I did, Alyssa said you were her man.” She said.

I looked at her, and said. “I thought I would never see
you
again. I have been waiting to see you but I had no way of knowing where to find you. How do you know Alyssa?” She had a puzzled look on her face, a look like why I asked her that question.

“We are roommates Evan, you don’t remember seeing me there? The day I ran into you, well when you ran into me on Park Avenue, I was surprised you didn’t know me then.”

I couldn’t believe I hadn’t recognized her. I had met her at a party at the girl’s place a few months ago. Damn, that means she knew about Alyssa and me.

“I’m sorry, sweetheart, I do remember you. There were so many people there that night. What do you say we get out of here and go for a walk?” I asked her, I took her hand and we walked out into the midnight air.

Classes have been going really well, I’ve been seeing Malory here and there. She seemed like a really good girl, not sure what’s going to happen with us. I knew Brody wasn’t feeling her friends, I tried to keep them away from the loft when he was home.

I picked her up and we headed to dinner, I had made reservations at a fancy Italian bistro by campus. Malory had more curves than any girl I’d seen. “You look great tonight, Mal” I said as I winked at her. I’d given her that nick name, I liked it better than her full name.

“Thanks. I hope dinner goes well. I have a surprise for you.” She said.

I smiled and winked at her, and said, “Oh, is that right?! I like surprises.” I chuckled softly.

Dinner was great, I’d heard this was the best bistro around and sure impressed me. “So, when will I get to see this surprise you have in store for me Mal?” I asked as she turned to me and put her hand on me knee.

“Evan, take me back to your place. I would like to spend the night with you, if that is okay with you?”

Hell yeah it would be alright, I had wanted alone time with her for weeks.

“Of course it is, babe. Do you need anything from your place?” I noticed she was carrying a larger purse.

“Nope, got everything I need.” She said has she rubbed my knee. As I pulled into the parking lot, I saw that Brody and Zander were there. I knew they would show off. We walked in, Alyssa, Kara, and Heather were there as well. Zander had started seeing Heather a few weeks back. I was surprised Kara and Alyssa were there. Alyssa had said several things about me to Mal, trying to get her to stay away from me. Thank God she didn’t listen.
