Bride of the Moso Prince (28 page)

“You’re so lucky to live here.” She said to Nobul, who was propping his head in an elbow, and gazing at the red crown of the setting sun.

“I know.” He said languidly, “when people ask me in the cities where I’m from, I tell them I’m from paradise.”

“Yeah. When I go back to LA I would tell people that I had visited paradise.” Sharon murmured, feeling glad and sad at the same time.

There was a moment’s silence before she heard Nobul’s voice again. “Thinking about leaving already? You’ve just gotten here.”

She turned to look at him. He had turned his gaze to her and his eyes smoldered in the dusky air.

Not until that moment was she aware that they were dangerously close to each other. So close that she could detect the masculine musk mingled in his smoky pine. The sound of his breath seemed to be a language without words. It was delivering something to her, not to her ears, but to her body. Her nerve-endings vibrated with every soft beat. Her eyes locked on his for a moment, then glided to his sensual lips, his throbbing throat, and the strip of brown skin below.

Sharon shuddered. She didn’t remember any temptation like this for a long time. The male body next to her reminded her of milk chocolates that had been her only weakness. Until recently, male bodies had never been a lure for her. She had thought the only reason men leaving the top of their shirts open was for cooling purpose. But apparently there was more to it, men might be leaving the front of their shirts open for the same reason women did. That strip of bare skin glowed in semidarkness, exuding enigmatic codes to the sensors of her body.

Her body ached for the contact with it, but her mind was debating. She knew that what was happening between them was no longer harmless flirting, but something serious. What had happened after the dance and in the hot spring were appetizers, unsatisfying and tantalizing, and she craved for a meal, a feast…and it looked like she could have it. But was it wise to have it since having it once would only make her yearn for more? And she would have to leave sooner or later…She tore her gaze from the male body, the only gorgeous male body she had known, and closed her eyes. As long as she kept her eyes closed and not to look at the source of the temptation, she would be fine, she decided. But what about the musky scent? It only got stronger as her vision was at rest. Her hearing also became more acute. She was detecting the urgency in the sound of his breathing. Even her skin seemed to become more sensitive. It was responding to the warm breath which seemed to become warmer and warmer…  Her eyes wide opened as she felt a feathery touch on her cheek. Nobul’s beautiful face was right above hers, and his eyes were dark and clear like the night sky. Her heart pounded. Oh no, she thought, I have to get away from it.

Yet she was so limb that all she could do was to whisper, “You, what are you doing?”

“Melting snow.” He breathed these words into her ear and instantly heated her.

Well, it wouldn’t take him long to accomplish that goal, would it? She thought resentfully, desperately and futilely gathering strength from her spellbound body.

She was still sitting stiffly on the ground when he pulled her into his arm and pressed his lips firmly on hers. She protested with a whimper but his lips were determined. His big hand caressed her arms and reached her back from the opening of her sleeve. Her flesh was excited under his touch and her lips parted.

Before long she was lying on the ground, in his arm, under the start lit sky.

His lips were still on hers and his tongue was exploring her mouth. His hand reached her breast through the front slit of her dress. Her nipples harden at the moment of the contact and so did he. Pushing his thigh against hers, he let her feel his desperation. And then pushing her skirt up, his hand sought the dark forest in her that he had dreamed of all night. He felt the soft tuft but her thighs clamped tightly to deny him access.

“Let me in?” He whispered to her.

Sharon shook her head with uncertainty. She was close to it, very close. She had been dreaming about it for the last two nights. She had imagined it in the hot spring, in the Empress’ bed, even in the armchair. But now, the moment had arrived and she wasn’t sure about herself. If she let him advance further, she would be in a total surrender. And what if he stopped in the middle again?

He seemed to have read her doubts.

“Let me be your prince,” he said urgently, “I promise it’ll be good.”

His sexy, low voice shook her. Her thighs relaxed.

“Prove it.” She said breathlessly while struggling not to lose her guard.

And with a low moan, he slipped down and ran his hot tongue slowly on her inner thighs.

She trembled and gasped for air, amazed by the magical power of his tongue, and wondered why on earth her entire body was under its spell. As if it was chanting
open sesame
, her thighs parted and she waited fervently for his entry.

Nobul’s heart throbbed as he saw the honeydew oozing from the entrance of the Shangari-la in her, exuding an irresistible sweet scent that aroused a swarm of bees in him.  He was so hard that he would explode in a minute. But he restrained himself. He wouldn’t gobble up his meal this time. He would savor it, slowly. He wouldn’t let her gobble him up either, no, for she wasn’t one of the fleeting pleasure, she was precious. Whether it was a one time affair or not, he wanted to pleasure her, he wanted to melt her completely, he wanted to burn the moment into her memory.

His tongue sauntered along the border of her womanly territory, the region that she had guarded with such vigilance a moment ago, as if making geographical survey.  She was clutching his back tightly and letting him know how much she wanted him, but he got hold of himself. He tasted the jewel of her feminine essence and made her shout, then he licked the pedals of that sacred flower and made her moan. She tugged at his arm desperately, guided it to her breast that needed his caresses. Then, as he was at the limit of his endurance, he heard her rasping plead, “Please, Nobul, either now or never.”

It was the sweetest command he had ever gotten in his life and he followed it eagerly, without a moment’s hesitation. The penetration was nearly effortless but it was a moment of lightening for both of them. It was the joining of bodies and souls. Sharon felt that man above her and in her was the god of fire. He had ignited the passion in her, and with each rocking the fire of desire in her became more intense. Oh, this is the real paradise. She thought as she closed her eyes to savor the overpowering sensation. She clutched his shoulders tightly, pulling him to her, and feeling his weight against her breasts. She wrapped her legs around him tightly, feeling him all the way in her.

He moaned in reaction to that gesture, “You’re the hottest snow on earth.”

“And you are the sexiest prince of all kingdoms.”

He would burn her, and she was letting him to take her to that moment of ecstasy.

“Oh, Prince, my Prince,” she murmured as the rhythm of his thrusts altered, as the fiction between them intensified, as she sensed the restless specks of fire in the process of making.

Yes, princess, love, he thought, too submerged in the joy to utter any word… And then, with the sudden rush of heat, the volcano in him erupted.

Before she opened her eyes the next morning Sharon was aware of another person’s breathing and a muscular arm twining her waist. Memories of last night emerged in her mind and she couldn’t help but smiled. It was heavenly. Making love under the starlit sky. She hadn’t felt so happy for a long time. They had talked afterwards and she must have fallen asleep over there and again he had carried her into the bedroom. Carefully she turned to look at the beautiful man lying beside her. Sleeping on one side, he looked content. And the contour of his body under the silk sheet reminded her that he slept naked. Instantly she felt the heat of that body burning on her thighs. She kissed his lips and caressed his chest, watching his expression. His breathing became lighter but he wouldn’t open his eyes.

She rubbed her knee gently between his thighs until the junction hardened. Then she heard him groaned. “Um, what a delicious dream.” Without even opening his eyes he found her lips and gently grazed on them.

It was still early so they lingered in bed. Nobul held her in his arms, stroke her hair and back.

“How is your leg, still hurting?” he touched her lightly on her wound.

“No,” she said, “I don’t feel any pain.”

“You sure?”

“Yes. I’m sure I’m well enough to walk. Want me to prove it?” She was going to get up but he held her back.

“No, I don’t want you to walk away. I would rather you lying here with me for the rest of your life.”

“Even if I were a cripple?”

“Even if you were crippled, blind, deaf… as long as you lay next to me like this.”

Sharon felt that she was
soaked
in nectar. She let the big tender man hold her and wouldn’t mind stay in that comfortable cradle all day and all her life. The thought of the near future crept into her mind now and then and stole away doses of sweetness. She tired to prevent the thought but couldn’t. Future was reality, today and yesterday was a dream. In a few days she would be leaving the island and leaving the lake. And then she would be back in LA, all alone in her large, empty house. Greedily she touched the smooth, bronze arm, and trailed her tongue along the center of his chest, desperately wanting to remember how it felt and how it tasted, so that when she closed her eyes alone, she would be feeling exactly like this, with him next to her.

“You need some breakfast, don’t you?” His morning voice was rasping than ever and she was aware of her hunger even more.

“Yes,” she said breathily, “a big meal with juicy sausages.”

He groaned as he turned on top of her, taking care not to touch her leg.

Rubbing the bulge against her crotch, he whispered into her ear, “Is this your choice of meat?”

Before she made her decision, he had pushed up her lingerie and entered her. Sharon caught her breath. His quickness took her by surprise. “Nobul! Too fast! I need some appetizers first.”

“I’ll make it an appetizer.” He gave her a naughty smile and it took her a moment to understand what he meant.

He didn’t go on to make sizzling fire in her like he did last night. He simply stayed inside her, making tantalizing little movements to tease her appetite.

“Um,” she purred, “I like it.”

“I liked it too, sweet-snow. You’re silky inside out,” he kissed her cheek and her hair and wriggled just a little to make her moan.

They both delayed the busting of the heat inside them as long as they could, until they could no longer stand it.

The lake in the morning mist was beautiful. Clusters of white clouds floated around the basalt crest of the lioness mountain. Sharon stood at the window gazing at it in her silk robe. How nice it would be to wake up every mor
ning in front of such a breath-
taking view!

“Want to go outside to the balcony?” He asked and opened the door.

“Sure.”

The balcony was huge and so was the couch in it.

Sharon settled in comfortably. Nobul had left for the kitchen to make them tea.

When he returned, he was holding a tray of breakfast. He had made omelet with green onions, mushrooms and bacons.

“That was quick!” Sharon couldn’t wait to pick up the chopsticks in the smell and the sight of the omelet.

It was simply delicious and it made her abandon all table manners. She gobbled up her portion within minutes. When Nobul offered her half of his, she didn’t refuse.

After they finished the omelet, they drank tea while enjoying the scenery.

“I always love the water and always wanted to live in a house on water front. But my dad wouldn’t buy any property near the ocean, saying that the moisture in the air would damage the houses. But I knew he just wanted to stay within the Chinese community.”

“There was no Chinese community by the ocean?”

“Not in LA, not really.”

“Anyway, now your dream’s come true,” he inhaled the aroma of her hair and kissed her earlobes gently.
Then positioning himself behind her, he cradled her in his arms.

“The first time I’ve ever seen the water was when I was eight years old…” Sharon said dreamily, “When my mom and I just got to LA. My dad took us to Catalina Island. I was thrilled.” She paused, remembering that it was the only time in her life that the three of them went on a vacation. Later when Charlene was born, they would go infrequently to the beaches too, but the feeling was never the same
