Chasing Rainbows (23 page)

Without warning Olivia began to move the wide open crevice of anticipation down towards his throbbing penis, which was standing magnificently to attention, waiting for her.

She sat down on him in one brutal move, orgasm came instantly to her and Doug felt the trickle of her juices down his manhood and onto his legs.

A slow trickle of wet ran across his throbbing orbs that were nearly bursting and needed emptying.

Doug lay back and enjoyed the way her body danced on him, keeping perfect rhythm .

Olivia became a woman possessed as her buttocks slammed against his thighs, again and again.

They hit orgasm simultaneously, a might explosion of tension and semen. Her taps of love turned on fully as she came and came again.

She screamed as they hit the ultimate heights that were rarely achieved.

This was a moment to remember, it may never come again.

Olivia collapsed onto Doug's chest and they both lay together in the aftermath of a passion so rare.

He stroked her hair, revelling on the aftershock of what had just occurred.

How could he have this woman permanently, without upsetting his whole world? He wanted her to be his and only his, forever.

They dressed hurriedly as Doug was already late for his appointment. At the door he turned and said, “You know it will be December soon and I won't be able to see you, what with family and commitments, you know how busy I get?”

She pecked him on the cheek and as she pushed him out of the door answered, “ That's fine, I will see you in the New Year. Call me.”

As Doug turned to walk towards his car, he heard her call after him, “I love you Doug, An early Merry Christmas and may next year be all you want it to be.”

He certainly hoped it would and he knew he would have to make some big decisions.

Doug was out at various functions during December and neglected Olivia. He also neglected Mary and Gerry.

He was busy being admired by the new women coming his way and he found it easier to enjoy himself if he dismissed the three women in his life from his mind.

He embraced the 'Cassanova' in him. To say he revelled in the adulation bestowed on him, by the clamour for his attention, was an understatement.

He did not ring Olivia as he was struggling to keep the balance in his already chaotic life. He knew she would understand.

By the time it got to the one day when presents were opened and some people were happy and others disappointed Doug was exhausted.

Gerry went to her sisters in a huff as he failed to buy her the ring she wanted and Mary's constant fussing was driving him mad.

He sat in the corner of the kitchen watching the mayhem round the table, the noise was deafening as his sisters chatted far too loudly and their men, (who he had nothing in common with bar the fact that they were married to his sisters) were discussing golf, a game he loathed.

As he sipped his whisky his thoughts went to Olivia. He wondered what she was doing and toyed with the idea of ringing her home and hoping she picked up the phone.

He imagined her sitting round the table with her family, her parents and a host of friends.

Olivia loved to entertain and cook. She loved feeding people and thrived on playing 'the hostess with the mostest'.

He managed to call her a few times in the busy weeks up to the new year.

They knew it would be impossible to meet and just exchanged the usual pleasantries.

Doug missed her so much and in his lonely times imagined them in bed together kissing and laughing, remembering her body next to his, on top of him, underneath him.

It made him long for the first of January and the new year.

Olivia was a very funny person and a great observer of life. She had a dry sense of humour that others may have called bitching.

She was no bitch, only in the privacy of the bedroom.

Doug's longing for her did not dissipate, it just took a back seat as he played the happy family man and doting lover of Gerry.

Doug was a liar and hypocrite. He often lied to himself about his behaviour.

Was it his fault he married Mary? No she tricked him into it.

Was it his fault that Gerry was living in a one bedroom flat waiting for the crumbs he threw her? No, she knew what she was getting herself into by having a married man.

As he sat now in the warmth of his kitchen Doug watched Mary. How could he escape the ministrations of a wife who was becoming more displeasing to him as the days went by?

He was having difficulty with his physical husbandly duties and was always happy to turn his back on the mother of his children and dream of those big brown eyes, those big breasts that he loved to caress, those nipples he could not wait to kiss again.

“Doug, Doug” Mary shouted, “You are daydreaming again, for goodness sake get up here and carve this turkey, we are all starving.”

Doug returned from his daydream to the real world and apologised before taking the carving knife and slowly slicing the bird that was in the middle of the table.

He would get through this day and the days to follow by thinking of the sweet Olivia.

CHAPTER NINETEEN

Olivia and Doug met on the 4th of January.

They arranged to meet at their usual venue, The George and Dragon at Apperley Bridge.

If they didn't have time to go to the boat they would walk along the Leeds Liverpool canal, laughing, joking and always kissing.

Olivia was late and Doug sat nervously with his pint of beer rehearsing the question he wanted to ask her when she arrived.

It was a serious question and for the last fifteen minutes Doug had recited it many different ways in order to get it right.

He knew it had serious implications to their relationship and that Olivia's answer might change their lives forever.

The door to the room opened and a flurry of snow from outside accompanied a figure in a large winter coat and fluffy hat.

Olivia practically fell through the door as a gust of wind blew her in. She was white all over as the sleet from outside stuck to her red woollen coat.

She removed her coat and hung it on the pegs to her right before walking towards the fire rubbing her hands and placing the palms towards the flames.

Good Lord,” she laughed, “The weather is getting worse out there. I don't think I can stay long or I won't be able to get home.”

Doug ordered a vodka tonic and they made small talk about the end of the year and the festivities they attended.

They rarely talked about their families; the guilt kept that subject away.

They began to discuss all that they had done together during the previous year.

All went well until Doug said, “I think you were a bit too reckless inviting me to your house that time. I know you like to live dangerously but I do think that you sometimes push the boundaries too far”.

Olivia was taken aback by his comment and returned with, “I didn't hear you complaining when I sat on your face?”

They looked at each other as thought they were squaring up for a fight. After a long moment, they began to laugh.

They laughed like two small children with a guilty secret, heads coming down together and foreheads nearly touching.

Doug got hold of her hand as he whispered, “ I have missed you”.

They had a big secret filled with little secrets, that were the memories no one could take from them and they would stay with them forever.  It felt good.

A comfortable silence descended and they sat watching the flames of the brilliant fire before them until Doug said, all in one go, “I have a question for you, would you leave your children for me?”

Why do you ask that?” was the reply.

Doug told Olivia he just wondered, that was all.

Olivia began to study his face, she had a habit of doing that when she was getting serious.

She was not only a good talker and a good listener but also a very good reader of facial expressions.

She took a drink and studied the burning embers before turning abruptly towards him with the reply, “Would you leave your children for me?”

Without thinking Doug said a very firm, “No”.

Olivia smiled, “Then there is your answer”.

As Doug drove home he wondered why he asked Olivia such a question, what had he expected her to say? What would he have done had she said yes? He thought about the other two women in his life and began to compare them.

The minuses were many for Mary and Gerry, the familiarity was so boring.

Gerry sulked a lot if he could not meet her needs and Mary was happy doing the shopping and being his mother.

Mary had forgotten how to be his wife and he was no longer her husband.

Olivia was so different. She was wild and unpredictable. She was so much younger than her age. She was positive and outgoing but also reckless. She cared too much and it wasn't often that she had her feet on the ground.

She was life, she was sunshine and laughter. Olivia was the future.

The other two were clouds and rain.

She was also very good in bed and sometimes took the initiative.

The other two were not in her league and there was no comparison to be made.

As he was getting older Doug realised that life was not all about sex and that what he had with Olivia was a bonus.

He loved Olivia but he loved himself more and he knew that sooner or later he would have to hurt her and end it.

He did not want to be the bad guy and if he left Mary he would be.

This was becoming serious and while he did not want to think of the future he felt that was probably why he asked the question.

Doug hoped that she would answer as she did, then he could say there was no point in going on.

He was so confused. He wanted Olivia. He didn't want Olivia.

There would be a high price to pay to be with her. He loved her with a passion and it was all becoming too much for him.

He was playing with fire now and it was time to put the fire out.

Time began to pass them by and the meetings between Doug and Olivia became farther apart as work commitments and family began to engulf them.

There was little time for personal pleasure. Doug did what he always did when he was in a stressful situation and could not make a decision.

He found a diversion which could push much needed decisions he might have to make, to the back of his mind.

He would think about them tomorrow. Tomorrow never came for Doug.

His diversion took him to Olivia's friend Brenda.

Brenda lived near to him and she was showing some interest. He was enjoying the attention.

There was no harm in a little flirting was there?

Brenda and Doug's children went to the same swimming club.

Once or twice he felt her eyes on him when he waited for them in the car park.

At first he wondered if it was because she might know about his relationship with Olivia but dismissed that as he had sworn Olivia to secrecy and told her she must never ever tell anyone about them.

He knew that Olivia was a law unto herself and so maybe Brenda knew.

Brenda covertly flirted with him. He had known enough women in his time to know what she was doing.

He flirted back, there was no harm in it, was there?

Doug was chairman of the village Gala committee and the first meeting was due the first week in May.

New members would be elected onto the committee and they desperately needed some new people. Some fresh blood was the order of the day.

Doug arrived early at the hall and put all the chairs out ready for the doors opening at seven.

Most of the village turned up and wriggled about on the uncomfortable fold down chairs as the meeting began.

Doug was reading the agenda, not paying much attention to the audience.

He looked up and saw Brenda staring at him. He smiled and winked at her.

He wondered why she didn't smile back, she wasn't with her husband.

Then he saw her talk to someone sitting next to her. He couldn't see who it was as she was hidden behind Joe Freeman, the body builder from the gym down the street.

Doug made a mental note to speak to Brenda in the break, she might introduce him to her mystery friend, who might be worth a few hours of his time.

The new committee was elected and Brenda got her wish to be on it. This would be brilliant as she would see more of Doug.

She couldn't tell Olivia how she was feeling, as she knew how much Olivia loved Doug.

As Doug came down the steps of the stage he headed towards Brenda. She was standing alone.

He looked round to see where her friend was and his eyes caught the door and saw the back of someone with long blond hair leaving.
