“Oh, fuck yeah, Evie,” Jay moaned.

I moved further out so that she could see me. It was so out of the ordinary for me, but I had to go with it. I just wanted to show myself to her, be a part of this moment, and let her understand that not only was Jay an option, but maybe I was too. I didn’t quite have the hows or whys of what I could provide, but there was a place for me somewhere in her life.

She moved with Jay’s rhythm. He kept his hands busy as he continued to work their magic on her flesh—teasing nipples, stroking her clit, and smacking her ass each time she moaned loud enough to seduce us both. But her eyes were all mine. They focused on me and drifted down to my breasts. I smiled.

You want to see them?

Evie licked her lips again and I took that as an answer. Lifting my shirt up, I revealed my white bra to her and freed my breasts. At this point my nipples ached to be touched, begged to be stroked.

Okay. Let’s hope she doesn’t punch me.

I walked over to Evie, step by step, fear rising in my core with each second. Disgust didn’t wash over Evie’s face like it used to when I entered their bed. This time she appeared surprised and intrigued.

Jay however looked up and appeared enraged. “Cyn? What are you doing?”

“Helping out.”

Oh my god. I sound like some sort of sex worker or something.

He stopped thrusting inside of her. “I don’t need help.”

“Oh. . .” I glanced at Evie who didn’t really seem like she knew what to do or how to react.

“It’s okay,” Evie whispered.

“What’s okay?” Jay asked.

I dropped my shirt and ran my fingers through my hair. “Never mind. I can just wait until you are done then.”

“No. That’s okay.” Evie moved out of a very shocked Jay’s hold. “This is … I don’t know. Let’s just stop for now.” She reached for a blanket and wrapped it around her.

“Stop?” Jay frowned and glared at me.

“Relax.” She rolled her eyes. “We’ve been at it all morning.”

“Yeah, but neither one of us has come.”

“I’ve come twice.” Laughing, she got up and dragged the blanket behind her. “I was close to hitting number three when Cynthia showed up.”

“Where are you going?” Jay asked.

“To take a shower.”

“I’m coming.”

“No, you’re not!”

“Yes, I am.” He jumped away from the piles of pillows and raced after her. Screaming, she disappeared into a hallway. A door slammed. I headed over to where they were.

Jay banged on the door. “Really?”

“Really.” Her voice carried through the door. The sound of water came next. She must’ve turned on the shower.

“Don’t I deserve to come?” he asked.

“Yes. Totally. You were a beast in bed this morning.”

“So?”

“I’m not coming back out, Jay. You already tricked me into opening my legs this morning. You won’t get lucky anymore.”

“Tricked?” He raised his hands in the air. “You were rubbing my dick. That’s how I woke up.”

“It was hard.”

“It’s the morning. That’s what happens to guys.”

“Your dick was taunting me.”

“In my sleep?”

“Yes. You’re a Heisman Pimp. What else could I do? I’m only a little Heisman Whore after all.” She giggled. I held in my laughter, which was a good idea because when Jay turned around to put his back on the bathroom door, he scowled at me.

“What?” I asked when he continued to wear that angry expression and target me with his eyes.

“Nothing.” He stood up from the door and walked past me.

“It doesn’t seem like nothing,” I said.

“I’m fine.”

“Are you?” I trailed behind him.

He ran his fingers through his hair and crashed back down on the many sheets and pillows on the floor. I sat on the chair near him. “Are you mad at me?”

“No,” he mumbled.

“Yes, you are.”

He kept his back to me. “I just don’t get what you were doing. I mean. I know we all used to be together, but we’re not anymore, so … you know what? Never mind. I’m just mad that Evie stopped and am blaming it on you.”

“That’s fine,” I said. “I think she did stop because of me.”

Sighing, he turned my way. “Yeah, but you know Evie has never been into you like
that
. She cares about you of course, but she’s not into girls.”

For some reason, the urge to defend myself rode to the front of my mind. “I think she is.”

“What?”

“Into girls.”

“She doesn’t like women,” he said.

“It could be true, but maybe she likes me.”

“No.” He shook his head.

“When you had sex, she’d been watching me for a while before I came over.”

“Excuse me.” He raised his eyebrows. “What do you mean she’d been watching you for a while?”

“I was over there by the door with my shirt up and—”

“Why was your shirt up?” He scrunched his face in horror.

“I … I wanted to show her my breasts.”

He rubbed his forehead and let out another long breath. “Cyn, you can’t do that. She’s already freaked out about everything and losing herself to craziness. You can’t come on too strong anymore. It’s going to make her run away from us both.”

I waved away his comment. “I don’t think so. Not in this case.”

“I know her.”

“I know her too.” I touched my chest.

“We broke up.” He gave me an assertive look. “I need you to give me and Evie space. I know that’s fucked up to say. I’m not trying to be heartless or anything, but if Evie and I are making love, then I need you to turn around and just give us some privacy.”

Anger bubbled up inside of me. “The door was open. If you wanted privacy you should have closed it.”

“Pipe, keeps it open, and that’s not the point.”

As if summoned, Pipe strolled through the front door with a handful of bags. “Did someone ring?”

I waved hello to him and directed my attention back to Jay. “I don’t see why I’m supposed to turn around and give you privacy now after everything we’ve been through.”

“That’s the way things are now.” Jay covered himself with a pillow, got up with it guarding his cock, and headed over to help Pipe with the bags.

I headed over there with him. “Well, I won’t back off unless Evie tells me to.”

“Excuse me? Please, tell me you’re joking.” Jay got all of the bags and took them to the table, somehow still hiding his dick.

“I’m not joking.” I placed my hands on my hips just like I’d seen Evie do many times. “She wanted me. Her eyes were all over my body. When I lifted my shirt, she licked her lips. If
you
hadn’t said anything, then she probably would’ve continued having sex, but with the both of us.”

Pipe and Jay exchanged glances.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” Pipe chuckled. “I mean I leave for an hour while Evie and Jay are humping, which was awesome by the way. I forgot how hot you two look naked. Goodness. I almost took the both of you on a voyage into my dark world. In fact—”

“No, thank you.” Jay held his hand up as if to block Pipe’s fantasy. “Our bed is crowded enough as it is.”

“Whatever,” I said. That word was another lesson from Evie. Sometimes a person could be so disgusted all they could utter was that one perfect word. “What-fucking-ever, Jay.”

Pipe quirked his eyebrows. “What is happening? I heard something about Evie being bi-curious and Jay being bi-furious about it. Is that right?”

“Basically,” I muttered.

“No, Cynthia thinks Evie likes her because they kissed.”

Pipe had been picking up a big plastic container of green liquid. It crashed to the floor and bounced twice before rolling to the corner. Thankfully, it didn’t spill, burst, or open.

“When did you kiss Evie?” Pipe asked.

“When they ran off in your car the night and we were stranded at Cynthia’s house.” Jay went to get the bottle of green stuff. “They were both drunk and high. You know Evie kisses people when she’s messed up. That’s just how it is.”

“Yeah, but Evie doesn’t kiss anybody she doesn’t want to kiss,” Pipe said. “That I know for a fact, and she doesn’t just kiss everybody. She has to know and love them first.”

“She kisses you when she’s high,” Jay said.

“Evie would kiss me if she was sober. The only reason why she doesn’t is because I’m the one that initiates the kisses, and I like to taste her when I’m blown.”

“Taste her?” I smiled.

“Evie’s my dirty little secret.”

“Why?”

“She’s probably the only woman alive who can get me hard. Not all the time, but every now and then I get some stiffness happening down there due to her.” Pipe made a fist. “So I taste her sometimes. What, Jay? Don’t look at me like that.”

“You get hard with her? You never told me that.” Jay set the green juice on the table. “And what is this green mess in the bottle?”

“Wheat grass. Fifteen shots of fresh wheat grass. I figured after all the drinking and smoking we did last night our bodies need to heal.” Pipe rushed off to the bar. “Wheat grass is so powerful. I drink some everyday. You know, it fights tumors and rids your body of toxins. Insane!”

“You get hard when you kiss her?” Jay kept the pillow in front of him.

“Yeah, man. It’s no big deal.” Pipe brought over several plastic cups.

“I would love a shot of wheat grass.” I took one. “What are some other benefits?”

Pipe set all four of the cups down. “It increases your red blood-cell count and lowers blood pressure—”

“Wait a minute.” Jay waved one of his hands. “When did you start getting hard with Evie?”

“Since high school.”

Jay cursed under his breath. “After the first kiss?”

“Before.” Pipe put his back to Jay. His movements looked sleek and in control as he poured the cups, yet worry creased his face. “I didn’t think it would be a big deal to tell you.”

“But, you’re not bi-sexual, right?” Jay said.

“I’m not homosexual either. I’m just Pipe, man. Now get over and drink some wheat grass.”

“I like that.” I nodded my head. “I love what you just said, Pipe. I’m stealing it. I’m not heterosexual or asexual or whatever. I’m just Cynthia.”

“Oh God.” Jay rolled his eyes. “Don’t take advice from a guy who smokes half an ounce of marijuana a day from bongs that look like penises. And definitely don’t take any sexual advice from him. Pipe apparently has no limits in the bedroom.”

“Here we go. I was just waiting for you to go there.” Pipe handed Jay a cup.

“I’m not even on last night.”

“What happened last night?” I took a sip of the green liquid. A bitter taste hit my tongue.

“Don’t worry about what happened last night. We’re all going to forget about it. What do you think of the wheat grass? It’s not that tasty, but the best things for you aren’t always that good.” Pipe drank a large cup of it. “So back to Evie and Cyn’s budding romance.”

I grinned.

Jay frowned. “If you keep hyping Cyn up like that you’re going to end up getting Cyn punched.”

“She’s not going to punch me.” I finished the rest of the juice. “She didn’t when I kissed her.”

“No?” Pipe smirked. “What did she do?”

“We made out a little.”

“Fuck. I would’ve paid to see that,”

Pipe clapped his hands.

“Apparently because you now love women and knives.”

Jay stormed out of the room. The muscles on his bare ass flexed with the movement.

“Jay loves competition on the field, but hates it when it comes to women.” Pipe gestured to Jay as he searched for something on the floor.

“I don’t have any competition, Pipe,” he called back. “I just have two sexually confused people trying to sleep with the love of my life.”

“Whatever,” I said. “I won’t back off of Evie unless she tells me to … or punches me.”

Pipe laughed and high-fived me. “I’m starting to love you more and more, Miss Cynthia. You’ve really grown on me.”

“Don’t encourage her.” Jay picked up some shorts and put them on.

“Why not?” Pipe asked.

“Because it’s hard enough to get Evie back as it is.”

“And you don’t like competition?” Pipe asked.

“No. I don’t feel like battling with anyone, even Cyn, whom I care about.”

The sound of a door opening and closing came from the direction of the hallway. Evie sashayed out into the hallway with a towel wrapped around her body and another on her head. “Pipe, when did you get up?”

“When you started screaming, ‘Jay, oh god. Fuck me, baby!’” He headed over and drew her in, embracing her curvaceous frame and pressing his lips against hers. When he pulled away, a sigh escaped his lips. “You’ve been a busy girl.”

“What?”

“You kissed Cynthia?”

“Yes.” She moved away from him and tip-toed over to the table.

“And?” Jay followed her with his gaze.

“And what, jackass?” As if already knowing what the green liquid was, she picked up her cup and drank it, scrunching up her face in disgust the whole time. “I hate the taste of this stuff. Wheat grass, right? Or are you on some new health kick?”

“Nope. Still going crazy on wheat grass,” Pipe said.

“Evie, do you want to pursue something romantic with Cynthia?” Jay asked.

We all turned our attention to Evie. Silence filled the space. She looked from Jay to me and then finally stopped at Pipe, before squeaking out, “What?”

It was time for me to step in and start fighting my own battles. “Jay asked me to stay away from you two when you are having sex. He feels like I invaded your privacy.”

“Umm … ” She started drinking from the cup, although I doubted there was anything left in it.

“I just want Cynthia to understand that you and I are working toward us,” Jay said.

“But you broke up,” I added. “So it should be no big deal.”

“Okay, I think we’re all confused, here,” Evie said. “Jay and I broke up, so we’re not working toward anything. Yes, Cynthia and I kissed, but we are only friends and roommates.”

“See.” I grinned. “No big deal.”

“Yes, it is a big deal, Cyn. If no one invited you into the bed, then don’t come.” Jay’s voice rose higher. Evie thought he didn’t argue, however, he and I had gone back and forth many times. She just couldn’t piss him off like I could.

“You
did
invite me into your bed,” I declared. “It was just weeks ago.”
